IC :: Shiva scoffed, getting slightly annoyed with this. "She knows, I know she knows, and she pretends like she doesn't. She always has and both of us are aware of it. She favours all of my brothers and rarely looks at me- she acts like she doesn't know that she plays favorites, but she does. Dad knew and he tried to keep things balanced! And now he's dead and Kali has gone back to playing favourites and I'm still the least favourite!" Normally Shiva avoided saying her mother's name to others, it was viewed as impolite, but she stopped caring at this time. "You'd think it'd be antisocial Valentino, who has gone emo and ignoring everyone, or Joel- the prankster who is obnoxious. You'd think it'd be Maverick- the stupid idiot who has done the worst in the family and mom doesn't care, or even as I hate to say it, but Beau- the kid who who has killed! Not the only daughter who has done everything to try and please her until giving up because Kali didn't care..."
"But I doubt you actually know what it's like to be the least favourite, huh?" Shiva whispered it so freaking sourly into the phone, it likely wasn't audible.

OoC :: Okay. Moving onto this drama. Hahaha. Now, let us see how well I can write this out... Happening in the later of the day where Buibui met Klause and Nathan and Norman talked.
IC :: "Doctors are trying to figure out what causes this, strange epidemic that is sweeping City 1. We suggest you don't get too close to anyone who may have it as we are unaware if it is contagious or how it spreads... Until then-"
Michael shut off the computer after watching the news broadcasted. The government finally decided there was something going on, and they were clueless as always. He was surprised the government even permitted the news to broadcast that... And while thinking about that in general his heart hurt just a bit. Silas.... No, emotions were stupid and that was in the past- Silas chose not to be safe after his own discovery about Michael's plan. But at least he kept quiet about it, likely Silas was the reason it was on the news Michael reasoned.
He gave a heavy sigh and moved backwards in his chair, spinning it around to work on some small he things needed to finish up. He was, er, readjusting some old things. Shock collars to be most specific, the labs hadn't had the chance to use them two years ago due to all the unfortunate circumstances. But he disliked how simple these were and had chosen to give some certain updates to it. And he was about finished.
Then the doors to the room he was in opened, he was already exasperated without needing to know who the person was. Anybody here was even slightly annoying to him. His eyes glanced up still just to check who it was, and he went to frowning immediately. Nathan had decided to come back, and was likely headed to his sister, where she was in one of the cells, keeping the children distracted. Michael was grateful he could make sure no sound got out of those rooms at least.
At least silence was kept as Nathan went to the cell Nadia was in, only sound briefly breaking through as he opened the door into the cell. And Michael went back to finishing the device. It was around 30 minutes until the next distraction came in. A very unhappy spider hybrid pushed open the doors, huffing furiously.
Creamy will continue this in the next post... OoC :: words
IC :: This was normally normal to see. However, she was generally better at not making a giant fuss about something. Most of the time she had lost one of her preferred meals, a human or a hybrid. Or simply somebody stumbled or bumped into her on accident and she overreacted. However in those cases, the person ended up dead 80% of the time. Michael could not say he cared much about her anger though, as he always found her to be overbearing when it came to any emotion.
"Somebody knows about the disease!" The spider hybrid hissed out.
Michael was surprised as she stormed to him, in front of the table he was working at, forcing him to look up at her from his chair with an unamused look. He gave a sigh soon after and raised an eyebrow, the emotion of annoyance still plain across his face. "I am well aware of that, there was just an announcement in the news. Multiple somebodies are bound to know about it now."
He was pleased to hear about it and see the cluelessness of people. How the pleasure of thinking about that broke as soon as Buibui seemed to hiss at him. "No. THey knew about it beforehand, somebody had told them! And he was aware what it could do and how it was spread- he was avoiding it! Their boss had apparently warned him from what I gathered, and his boss had been told by someone who knew about it in the first place- somebody here!"
Now that... that was alarming. He didn't exactly need to investigate who it was, it was fairly obvious taking into account the people who originally knew about it. If he really wanted to list them off he could, his father would and neither would Buibui. Cero was stupid, sure, but he wouldn't let that slip nor would he have explained it to someone. It left the twins and only one of them had been out of the labs anytime recently enough and long enough to tell someone.
He had expected this sooner in all honesty, it surprised him it took this late for Nathan to have told anybody about the disease and for it to reach Michael's ears, and the scientist assumed it had been too recent. And still. something had to be done about the snow leopard shifter disobeying Michael's orders to not tell anyone.
"Ah, I see. Buibui, would you mind calling up my father and telling him of this, I'm sure he'd like to be involved with this..." Of course, Michael couldn't say himself that he entirely liked bringing his father into this, however his father was much better at inflicting punishment on people.
And Creamy will continue this soon. OoC :: words
IC :: Michael wasn't keen on telling Wesley what had happened, so he didn't. It was a smarter choice in the end, the way he manipulated the situation to make sure mostly everybody was innocent of the actions, other than Wesley really. But his father never had a problem with putting a bullet in somebody's head, no matter who the person may be.
Which is why Michael sat silently watching as Nadia argued with Wesley. She was obviously furious with what Wesley had suggested, unaware that Michael was the one who planted the idea in his father's head. "Those two daughters of hers are fairly useless. Average hybrids with nothing great about them, god, if only someone had gotten rid of them sooner." was what Michael had said quietly once Wesley had come to the labs as Michael had asked. Wesley of course took that as a request to rid the two 6 year old girls. Or were they seven now? It really wouldn't matter.
It was correct, and there was only three people who knew the full reasons why Arianna and Ruby were going to die. Buibui knows as she was the one to figure it out, Michael, and Nathan. And even if the snow leopard didn't know initially, he would quickly figure it out. The spider hybrid was under instructions to tell nobody about what she had discovered, and despite being confused at first, she accepted it with no questions.
"Those two creatures have no reason to stay alive, they are useless and troublesome to keep here. It would be much easier to make sure they simply don't mess with anything here by putting one of these through their head," Wesley swung around a small gun for show. Michael knew how that wound end.
Michael was surprised that he hadn't mentioned how Michael was the one to suggest it in the first place. And he was grateful Nadia nor Nathan went to him to stop it. Nadia likely didn't as she assumed Michael had no power over his father, which was almost true. But Michael did have something to keep Wesley in agreement for now. Nathan on the other hand was already glaring at him, already having guessed Michael was behind it. It was a little bothering that he had already figured it out despite the conversation barely starting.
"Th-They are children! My children! I won't let you do that!" Nadia argued. She was convincing herself that her children would be safe, if only she had seen how four kids all under 10 were watching from one of the dark rooms, eyes wide and scared. Michael had, and by that Wesley most certainly had too. Hence why he was aiming his gun, playing with it, but aiming nonetheless.
"They aren't children, they are monsters. Not even the type that can shift into animal form like your brother. Useless. That's why they need to go you stupid girl," Wesley said simply. Ah, unfortunately it seemed like Nathan had noticed the children too and we're going to stand in front of them. Now, this was ultimately punishment for Nathan telling someone about the disease. And Michael already made up his mind to kill the girls rather than him. Wesley wouldn't kill Nathan unless Michael had expressed interest in doing that, because otherwise Wesley was never getting what he wanted.
Of course, Michael wouldn't be against the idea of harming Nathan as long as he wasn't killed.
And Creamy will continue this in the next post. Where the scene should finally end.

IC Now while Norman was fine listening, he had gotten quite a bit of information from Shiva just talking, however it was the last part that had surprised him, sure it had only barely been audible but Norman had rather impressive hearing...being a hybrid and thanks to his mother. So he had heard. It was true though, Norman...well he didn't mean to brag but it hadn't gone unnoticed to him that he was Hazel's favorite, and although he and his brothers tried so very hard not to pick favorites, there was always at least one that they protected more than the others. For both Nikolas and Kai, that was him. For Ty it was so obviously Kai that it was almost painful. Choosing to ignore that bit, he continued.
"I'm sorry Shiva. I don't know what it's like to have a mother that doesn't care for you like the others. An abusive mother? Yes. Not any more, but definitely during Wings and as much as I hate it, even after, she was manipulative, and perhaps even a little abusive than. I'm sorry, and I don't know what you must feel. But has it occurred to you that she might not have known she was hurting you? Even if she was aware she was favoring the others, do you really think she knew that she was hurting you?"

IC :: "Oh boohoo, 'my mom used to be really abusive to me when I first met her, and manipulative, and mean, and cruel,'" Shiva snarled into the phone, likely catching at least one or two people's attention who were on the sidewalk and passing her. "I mean, did she even know you were her kid at first? Sorry, didn't know abusive mother only applied to you though. I can't imagine what that would be like! My mother might not be manipulative, and she might not physically hurt me, but damn, she has hurt me. She knows it and I know she does. She ignores me whenever anyone else is the room. When I'm the only person there? She'll get out of the room! She's forced me to be what she wanted me to be without any care and when that didn't work out? I was tossed out the door, and she focused every spec of attention on my brothers! She knows she was hurting me, and she chose to ignore it and pretend like she had no idea, and she knows it. Oh, but you're never wrong, now are you Norman?" Shiva was a little furious. It felt like he was suggesting he knew her mom better than she did and she doubted he had actually met her. And here, the seemingly perfect description of perfection was trying to to tell her about something he had no business in! She wasn't just upset at him, it was a lot of people- but majorly herself. She wouldn't have been like this if she had just managed to keep up her false face for even a while longer, while on the phone.

IC Norman gripped his phone a little tighter. He would very much have liked to tell Shiva off, because he had plenty to tell her, but...he couldn't loose another friend this way. "I get that you're upset so I'm going to ignore that. Mostly because you don't know what I've been through, what she was like, in fact you know very, very little about me," Norman told her, voice beginning to get cold. "I'm trying to help. What I'm saying is that I know enough about basic human or hybrid emotion to know that no matter what, talking is very important. You aren't doing that, Shiva. You're holding everything in and then exploding at anyone and everyone you can. That's a very unhealthy way to deal with emotions. I wasn't trying to turn this about me, I was trying to give you something to relate to. However you seem stuck in your anger. Too stuck to even consider calming down for a second to talk," Norman said, voice staying rather cold. He wasn't handling this very well, however Norman had never been great in these situations. There was a reason he ticked off so many people. There was a reason he had gotten in trouble so often, and people always seemed to forget that Norman liked pushing people's buttons. He liked seeing what made them tick and what made them snap, and he held grudges, after all, how many times had it been seen where Norman got in trouble for being a little crap ball? A lot. He just tried a little harder with his friends to not do that.

OoC :: Woah, Shiva has yelled in an angry rant at Thaddeus, Kali, Maverick, Beau, possibly Ives (? moreso doubt this one, but possibly him too), and now Norman.
IC :: "I've dealt with this for almost three years now. My entire life. On my own. And the way I deal with things would work if people didn't try to butt in every single time I do something that lets me relax for even a small while and trying to tell me what to do to make it all better. Nobody has even noticed until this point that I was going through issues, not even you and you can't say anything against it, because otherwise you would have been doing this a long time ago. I'd much rather you just leave me to cope how I want to cope and calm down for a while. Your way of helping doesn't help Norman! And I don't know why you can't get that into your thick skull! You can't help everyone! Sometimes letting them do what they need to do is better than trying to butt in and seemingly help, because it doesn't!" Shiva stopped there. She paused for a quiet minute before looking at her phone and pressing the end call button. She didn't, couldn't, deal with someone telling her to do what they thought was best for her. She looked down at her phone as she turned it off, staring at her reflection through the black screen. She didn't notice the small droplets of tears splashing onto it, but she had decided that she couldn't go home for a while now. Not with that- she thought she would have been able to, but now she realized that she wouldn't be able to handle it yet.
And she had just hung up on the phone with one of her deepest friends, powered it off so nobody could call her or contact her. She let her phone dropped onto the ground and turned away and left. She'd get a different one, it'd be easy enough to snatch some money from her mom's bank account, she left it open for her children at least- not like it was meant for Shiva. More like Beau and Maverick it seemed. She'd buy a new one and only use it to contact very few people.

IC: Maverick's walk to the Starbucks wasn't too long, but it was long enough to get him thinking. Could he have seen Shiva? He had reasoned with himself that it wasn't the case, but he had sped up even more because of it. A very large part of him had hope that it was the case. When he arrived he had rushed into the shop and looked around to try and spot his brother and see what he was wanting him for.

OOC I can tell you now, Shiva did just majorly mess stuff up for her and Norman. Not to mention she touched on a lot of the same stuff Thad did. So, man, this is definitely not going to go well. She may have also messed things up for Norves too.
IC As soon as she had hung up on him, Norman threw his phone at the opposing wall, clutching onto the pillow tighter. He held it so tightly he might be puncturing the pillow case a little. Breathing hard, he closed his eyes and buried his head into the pillow. This. This was why he distanced himself. Because at the end of the day, he still only truly had his brothers, he still only had the three people who had been there for everything, loved him no matter what, and understood him better than anyone else. Because at the end of the day, it was only Nikolas, Kai, and Ty that cared enough to stick around.
That didn't stop him from remembering the many years of abuse from the scientists. Oh they had planted long ago in his head that no one wanted him. It had been planted so long ago, and watered so often that by now the thought has grown into a very large oak tree, his nightmare from the mist only making it worse. He...he just wanted to help. He needed to help. He wanted to make things right and okay...
After a few moments, when Norman had left himself to his own thoughts for long enough, he pushed the pillow back. He did only have his brothers, didn't he? He...he didn't want to loose anyone else he cared about, like Ives...he messed things up for everyone else, what if he did the same to Ives? He would just hate himself if he did. Ives meant so much to him. Too much, he couldn't stand the idea of loosing him.
Norman got up, leaving the pillow, the trail mix, the phone, everything, behind as he walked out of his room, swiveling his ears to hear the conversation going on in the main room. They were all there. Maybe not Boston Waldo, maybe not Madeline or Feles, he wasn't sure, he wasn't paying attention, he just knew the three people he did love were there and that was enough.
Leaving his room behind, he walked out, attaching himself to the closest brother out there in a desperate, tight hug. Which, for at least them, was enough for the other two to catch on and soon he found himself in the middle of a comforting group hug.
This. It had been this from the start. It had started with just the four of them and right now, the four of them were all Norman needed.

OOC I dunno, maybe with Cliff coming home?
IC Beau instantly spotted his brother, and waved him over, glad to actually see him there. "MAV!" He shouted. "Over here!" He called and then looked to Amelia. "That's my brother, Maverick. He doesn't go to school anymore. You don't mind if he joins us, do you?" He asked with a smile, honestly just glad to have someone else there now. It had fallen into awkward silence for him before he spotted Maverick.

OOC Norman puts on a mask no matter who he is around but at the end of the day, he's honestly just an extremely messed up boy who worries about letting anyone in in fear of loosing them. He doesn't handle confrontation well and he really just wants to help. Honestly I have so many Norman feels it isn't even funny. But yeah. Shiva just set back a lot of work Ives had previously done. It's easy to forget exactly how sensitive this boy is, but he is extremely sensitive and can't handle stuff like this, like...at all.
