(Yeah, ikr?! He just has a good time with life! x] )
Fayne noticed her smile and immediately straightened up. "They call me Fayne!" He bowed elaborately, folding back his ears. As he was bowing, he snatched up two tiny wildflowers growing from the dirt road. "For you, Astra!" He held them in her face, smiling, and cocked his head to the side.

Jag fought with himself in his mind. This last scrap he'd been in had kind of been his fault. He thought to times in his past, even recently, when he'd bullied other people just for the fun of it, and even taken their money for "protection." That's what the guards told him to do when he'd been in training. And yet, Arabella had never stolen from the villagers, at least, not that he had seen. The way I am living his life now.. am I doing the right thing? Either way, that fox crossed me and therefore has crossed the law. I'll see him behind bars! Jag grunted as he noticed his cup had run dry. He stood up loudly, clumsily, and began making his way out of the tavern.

Arabella wanted to say something her parents would look down upon to this person but kept her mouth shut. She spoke through the cloth that covered her nose and mouth, "just bread and oil." She said, just audible for the the woman to hear her. The lady gave her a rude glare. Which was understandable, she remembered collecting a gold coin for each member of this woman's household for tax purpouses...and there were a lot of members. Not that she wanted them to suffer but if only they would understand. She shook her head to clear it and as soon as the woman came back she grabbed it and unlike at the blacksmith's slammed the door shut in silent rage

Arabella swung open the door to the blacksmith shop. She made sure her anger didn't show through. "I brought food for both of us. Guess I bought too much." She put down the bread and oil on a small table and put aside the extra loaf. "Is my sword finished yet sir?"

Jag burst in through the door of the blacksmith's shop. He was still limping, but trying to look as respectible as possible. He eyed the store and spotted the fox, then walked up to the counter and slammed his fist down onto it. "There you are, fox. We have a score to settle!"

Arabella jumped slightly at Jag's fist hitting the counter but trued her best to ignore him, they would talk later. Maybe he can learn something from her right now while she acts kind to this blacksmith. She held the sword in her hand and tossed it between her right and left. Somehow it felt even lighter than when she first brought it in. "It's an excellent piece of work, I will pay you the full price." She grabbed her sack of coins and pulled out 30 gold coins and took back the rest. "Don't worry about the food, it really was an accident. I guess the lady working there didn't notice what she was giving me besides an evil glare." She mumbled the last part about the lady working at the tavern. Arabella sheathed her sword pulled her cloak over the hilt so it was concealed

(Me too lol)
Arabella noticed the two weren't getting the hint and raised her voice, "Won't you two shut up?! Here's your money for the sword and bread sir." She turned to Jag, "what's done is done, he didn't kill anyone and thank God you didn't."

Jag was gritting his teeth together so hard it was amazing he had teeth anymore at all. Just as he was about to roar at the fox, Arabella spoke up. Jag's face loostened up a bit, he was in such a rage that he didn't even realize she was there. "But he.. and then.." he spluttered, clearly not knowing what to say next.

(No biggie)
"Stop." She put her hand on his shoulder and turned back to look at the blacksmith. "Thank you for your time sir, please enjoy the food." Arabella turned back to Jag and her voice became firm, "We really should be going." Arabella didn't want a fight to happen here. Not now. Not in this man's shop that he worked hard to build. Not in this man's shop that stood up for other people. People who wanted to defend themselves or use weapons for sport. However, anyway you put it, they will not begin here. Not while Arabella was here

Jag really wanted to punch the fox in the face. Really, really badly. But even to his own surprise, he found himself obediently following Arabella out the shop.

Once they were gone Vincent shook his head with a sigb. "Too prideful that one...Ain't nothin' to be proud about servin' that lazy dimwitted twit of a king Saber. Pitiful", he mumbled out loud to himself and looked at the bag of food Arabella left behind for him. "...Perhaps she ain't as bad as the rest of 'em. Either that, or such corruption hasn't possessed her mind yet", he said to himself as he looked inside the bag and pulled out the bread, and stalked the sack of coins away from sight. At some point he would journey over to other taverns and help out the village folk with his pay like he usually did, such as for the little girl that calls him Vixer, he made sure she and her family got what they needed, food, water, and the essentials.

Arabella, feeling hypocritical, slapped Jag. Not hard of course but just hard enough. "That was the most embarrassing experience i've ever had in this town! I'm not even responsible for you and yet sometimes I feel like I am Jag!" She crossed her arms across her chest and didn't look at her fellow guard, instead Arabella glanced over to the large hill where her family was located right over the ridge. Her voice lowered dramatically, "from the way the fox put it, you were being a brute...why? And don't even think about lying."

Jag rubbed his face where she slapped him. It wasn't an incredibly hard blow, but he was still shocked by it. Wide-eyed, he looked directly at her, even though she was looking away. "I don't know," he confessed. I don't know why I do the things I do. Sometimes I feel the urge to fight, the urge to win for the power of it. And if I get angry.. I lose control of myself in my anger. Sometimes I don't even know what happened until the next day when I've calmed down." He coughed awkwardly. He sounded like a darn fool, and he knew it.

"You need to get it under control. And soon. Unless you want to get jumped by a herd of angry villagers." She still didn't look at him. Arabella didn't want him to think she was taking this matter lightly. "You should understand by now that words are just words. Some people think of you as great, others think of you as a coward. That's just how the world works." She stayed firm for a moment before looking at him, "but I didn't hurt you did I? I'm sorry, I just..."

"N-no," Jag stuttered, "I deserved that." He looked at her in shame. "I've done some things that were not too cool. I've stolen from villagers, threatened people... even if I stop now, nobody will trust me." He looked down at his feet, too ashamed to make eye contact anymore. "And the other guards will turn their backs on me if I don't keep treating the townsfolk this way. I.. don't know what to do."

"I'm not asking you to give them flowers every morning! I just mean, treat them as if they were in your guard unit. They may not like you immediately but you have to have that level of trust. I know people out there don't like me because I'm a tax collector! No one likes a tax collector!" She unfolded her arms and put them at her sides, "but they also need to understand that I'm just doing my job."

Jag thought for a long moment. He knew he was in the wrong the whole time he had been treating people this way, but he'd never admitted it to anyone before, especially himself. He knew it was time to swallow his pride. He just hoped he could do it without letting his rage get the best of him. Jag scratched his mane awkwardly with a giant paw. "If you'll excuse me, there's something I need to do." He turned his gaze away from her. "Thank you.. for everything." He walked back to the blacksmith's shop. He took a deep breath and opened the door. "Fox." He said loudly, in his deep, gruff voice.

(Well this is awkward xD might have to wait until winter gets back before I can continue rp'ing! Unless I rp King Saber, hehe)
King Saber paced back and forth. He was alone, in the war planning and strategies room of the castle. "We need more werecreatures." He muttered to himself. He pointed to a nearby country. "I'll show them our kingdom's power! But I need a larger army before I can attack."

(I think it would be intresting if Jag started treating Arabella like his little sister but then, since the king wants to wage war on another country, she dies in battle mwhahaha!)

(I like doing stuff like that I think it adds such a dramatic element to any story. In the early stages of the announced war when people are just getting ready, i'll make another person)

I might cry, because i already have planned out how she dies and what she says as her final words but once i put it down it's going to be sad. Unless you want me to put it in a less sad way)
