it’s going to be in the 80s for forever here oh my god this isn’t spring it’s summer the worst summer because it’s going to get w orse
on the other hand, heyo! the tenderpaws disappearing would be funny.))
Amberstep sighed, pressing against Honeyteller for her own comfort as they walked. She took care in limping every step, to not fall and open any more wounds- and when Honeyteller suddenly stopped, she paused. Amberstep knew what was happening. Some kind of omen, or prophecy had fallen. It was a long moment until Honeyteller jolted and she knew that it was over. She pressed her nose against the omen-teller’s cheek, smiling softly. “Let’s get to the exit,” she murmured. It didn’t seem like a pleasant omen, so she would not press. Honeyteller deserved peace and quiet.
-
Ospreypaw nearly squeaked as he noticed that Sagepaw was gone, leaving him to follow her scent. He shuddered as he tracked her, nervously following the trail through the secret tunnel. What had even happened? They didn’t go out through there often unless Sagepaw was feeling rebellious. He pressed up against her the moment the found the small group, shaking and his bobbed tail going back and forth. “What are you two doing?” he whispered softly. “What happened?” He was like a leaf in a storm, nerves stretched so far that they could snap. With the fox attack, Amberstep, and his own self-doubt, he was a hurricane of his own soft demons. “The fox might be in the territory. We should stay in the camp or bring protectors.”

Camp wasn’t too far away now. Icetail felt relief flood over him. His pace quickened as the familiar tangle of brambles and bracken came into view. Not being as injured as Gingerear was, the elite was going to take the fresh-kill to the pile with Nightstorm while Gingerear went ahead to the healers’ den. Once the prey was taken care of Icetail would go and get his own wounds checked out. He knew he couldn’t ignore the pain and bleeding he was experiencing, and the more he thought about it, the more he realized that, as an injured protector, he would have all the more reason to hang around Mothlight. The thought of that made his pace go even faster. For a moment he forgot about helping Gingerear. Grumbling he paused, hoping he hadn’t left the she-cat behind and she had fallen or something. That wouldn’t go well.
- - -
For a while Honeyteller wasn’t sure she could move. Receiving omens had always taken a lot out of her. Even if she had been receiving all sorts of signs and omens since she had been a kit, she knew she could never truly get used to it. There was just so much she would never truly get used to when it came to her unique powers. Once she felt like she was able to walk, Honeyteller took a few steps forward. She nodded in response to her friend’s words. ”Yeah, yeah, outside,” she murmured slowly. They had been heading outside, that was right. Going outside would also help her calm down and relax. Once fully recovered Honeyteller padded outside alongside Amberstep, taking in a deep breath of the fresh air as it coiled around her like a warm blanket.
- - -
”Ospreypaw!” Sagepaw exclaimed happily when the tom came forward and pressed himself against her. A gentle purr could be heard coming from the tabby. Before she said anything else, Sagepaw leaned forward and gave her good friend a comforting lick on the head. ”We’re going to make our own Clan. We’re going to show the Clan that we can survive anything that gets thrown at us, so we’re going to show them just how strong we are!” The she-cat could tell that Ospreypaw was not in the best of mental states right now. He was shaking like a leaf in a storm. ”Is that what you’re worried about? Those foxes won’t be dumb enough to mess with all of us.” Sagepaw puffed out her chest to show the tomcat that she was as strong as could be, injured or not. No fox was going to attack them, not this time around!

(We don't even have four seasons here. Gaddamn it must be fun to have seasons. I'd trade anything for the bipolar microwave that my country is.)
(Anyway, I have Mapleflight open. Can one of the healers roleplay to this?)
Nightstorm entered the camp, watching the faces of his clanmates turn to shock when Icetail and Gingerear followed behind him. Quickly placing the fresh-kill down, he hurried back to the two and nodded at Icetail. "I'll help Gingerear to the healers. I think you should rest," he offered.
"What happened!" Breezepaw was the first to run up to them, blue eyes wide. His eyes moved from the multiple bloody wounds on their pelts to Gingerear's hind leg, which stood out at an awkward angle. "Y-you broke a leg," the healer tenderpaw proceeded to sniff at it, then moved back to face the three protectors. "Quick, let's get you into the healers. I'll go tell them."
Dashing to where the healers usually were, the slightly panicky tom looked around, desperate to find help.

When Icetail picked up his pace, Gingerear felt his white pelt rush past her. Grumbling to herself, she hobbled along, doing her best not to put any weight on her broken leg. The task was difficult, but so far she was doing alright. The she-cat saw Honeyteller and Amberstep leaving camp. While normally she'd have some sort of emotion about the two being together, Gingerear couldn't form anything about it. She was too busy trying to pull herself back to camp and focus her attention on walking without using all four legs.
Gingerear gave a sigh of relief once they entered camp. "Finally.." She thought to herself. The journey had seemed like it had been moons long rather than just a few moments. She graciously nodded to Nightstorm and his offer, before her attention was caught by Breezepaw. At the mention of her leg being broken Gingerear couldn't help but flinch. She knew the fact must be true, but to hear it from a healer tenderpaw brought it into perspective.
~~
When Breezepaw frantically bounded into the den, Mothlight looked up from her herbs. Furrowing her brow she stood up, padding to the entrance of the healers' den and poked her head out. A small gasp came from the she-cat's maw when she saw Gingerear, and then...Icetail. A rush of protective energy for the tom coursed through her. Shaking the feeling away, the tortoiseshell she-cat bounded out of the den and over to Gingerear, who held the worst of the injuries.
The healer was about to ask what had happened when the stench of fox filled her nose. She snorted and shook her head. "Let's get you to the healer's den." She mewed to the she-cat, gently pressing against her. The small glance she got at the protector's leg concerned the she-cat, but she would further assess the wound once she got the she-cat in a nest.

Nightstorm, with the help of Mothlight, carefully brought Gingerear to a nest in the healers' den. Breezepaw quickly approached them, a bundle of leaves clamped tightly in his jaw. Placing the bundle in front of Gingerear, he unwrapped them to reveal a few poppy seeds. "What else should I do? Should I fetch some comfrey?" he asked dutifully, looking up at tortoiseshell she-cat.
As the injured she-cat settled down, Nightstorm padded outside to where Icetail was. "You should get your wounds treated too," he told him, eyeing his bloodstained fur. "In case an infection occurs."

The pain didn’t return until a little later for Icetail. As soon as he saw the familiar pelt of Mothlight he felt himself regain energy like he had done at the sight of camp. The bloodied tom felt a small smile flutter over his face. It was then put away when he watched the she-cat rush toward Gingerear. Right, she’s much worse than I am. Of course Mothlight would tend to her first. Was that jealousy he felt? That Mothlight was tending to Gingerear first? Why would he feel jealous about that? Gingerear was much worse off than he was, he should be relieved that she was getting help. Get yourself together, Icetail. Mothlight can’t pay attention to you all the time. Luckily he was able to concentrate on something else as Nightstorm caught his attention. He nodded slowly. Pain flooded through him again as he remembered about all the wounds he had received, both deep and shallow. ”You’re right. I can’t let something so easily avoided get to me.” With Amberstep already down for the count, Icetail couldn’t afford to catch an infection in any of his new wounds. With that in mind he slipped into the healers’ den, silently wondering who else would be inside other than Mothlight and Breezepaw.

Mothlight had seen Icetail. Of course she had. She always saw the tom, whether in person or in her thoughts. Lately, he seemed to be the only cat she thought of. It was intoxicating, really. She had noticed his wounds and felt a stab at her heart, want to help him and only him, but Gingerear was worse. The worse off cat always came first, no matter who the other was.
After getting Gingerear down in an empty nest, Mothlight nodded to Breezepaw. The tom wasn't her tenderpaw, but he was available and that's all that mattered. "Get goldenrod and cobwebs, also." She mewed before grabbing the poppy seeds. "Thank you, Breezepaw." The healer then turned to Gingerear. "Eat these." She mewed, gesturing to the poppy seeds. "They'll help you sleep. I'm also going to have to move your leg back. It's going to be extremely painful, but hopefully the poppy seeds will help alleviate it some, and bite down on this stick."
Seeing Icetail slip into the den, Mothlight looked over at him. She blinked painfully at his wounds, then flicked her tail to an empty nest. "Lay there." She ordered him, staying next to Gingerear. "Once I take care of Gingerear's leg I'll be right there." Mothlight brought her attention back to Gingerear, who had already bitten down on the stick. "One, two.."
On the count of three Mothlight placed her paws on Gingerear's leg and pushed, moving the bones back into place. A crack of the stick and a pained yowl erupted from Gingerear. The she-cat's ears were flattened down to her head and her claws were scratching at the rocky ground. Panting and breathing heavily, the white she-cat spat the stick out, hissing as Mothlight applied herbs to her injured leg. The poppy seeds were beginning to take over, but that didn't excuse the amount of pain she had just felt. Of course it was better now, and Gingerear was thankful that the worse part was over, but she couldn't ignore the stinging feeling that was left behind. Whimpering once more, the she-cat felt her eyes grow heavy, and she finally succumbed to the effects of the poppy seeds.

Amberstep gave Honeyteller a soft smile, lying down just near the exit to camp. “Are you feeling alright?” Her voice was quiet, a mere murmur in the soft chattering of camp. “I know omens take a lot out of you.” She rested her head on her paws, not looking at Honeyteller but just relaxing. It had been a while since Amberstep had allowed herself to do this- it gave her a tilted smile as she thought about it.
-
“Oh,” Ospreypaw managed to say, a bit strained. “You’re leaving the Clan? For how long? Less than a day, right?” He looked away, shrinking at what she said. “Um, alright, then. Of course a fox would never approach us. Not at all. Nope.” He yelped when a butterfly appeared in his vision, jumping before realizing what it was and looking at the ground. “So. Alright. Where will we go?” He didn’t look at either of the tenderpaws, too unsure of himself to make any suggestions or challenge them. Even if he didn’t approve, he’d follow Sagepaw to the ends of the earth.

Breezepaw scurried off to the side of the den where the herbs were neatly packed and arranged in several depressions. Within a few heartbeats he had collected a wad of cobwebs in his paws. The injured protector's agonised yowling and the sound of her claws against the ground scared the already panicky tenderpaw, who shook his head. I can't let myself get distracted!
The bright yellow streaks of goldenrod laying in a corner caught his eye and carefully he placed them in his mouth. Hurrying back to where Mothlight was treating Gingerear, he placed the herbs beside Mothlight. "A-anything else?"

When Breezepaw returned, Mothlight shook her head and offered the tom a small smile. "This is good. Thank you." She mewed gently, taking up the comfrey. With Gingerear asleep from the poppy seeds, the rest would be easy. The healer gently placed the herbs on the protector's injuries and once she was finished, took a step back to examine the she-cat. Mothlight gave a small sigh. Gingerear was going to be stuck in the den for a few moons at the least, and that was pushing it. Mothlight could only hope this injury wouldn't permanently mar her.
Letting Gingerear sleep, Mothlight took up the remaining goldenrod and cobwebs and made her way over to Icetail. Her yellow eyes were pained as she looked at the injured tom, and sitting the herbs down on the ground, she gently pressed her muzzle against his cheek. "Oh Icetail..." She murmured quietly, pulling her muzzle away and sitting next to the tom. The she-cat began to sort through the herbs next to her, doing her best to not let the tom's injuries affect her. Luckily, his injuries wouldn't keep him out of commission for too long, maybe a week at most.

(Roleplaying two cinnamon buns at the same time, because it is needed to contrast my sh1tty personality.)
Breezepaw nodded, feeling a warm rush of relief and accomplishment as he watched Gingerear resting. While Mothlight tends to Icetail, I shall keep an eye on her. Picking up the unused herbs, the tenderpaw returned to the herb store to place them back.
--
Seeing that everything was okay and everyone had settled down, Nightstorm, who was watching from outside the den, nodded to himself and looked around the camp for Honeyteller. I've got to tell her about the fox. His amber eyes narrowed at the thought of the savage creatures. He recalled catching a glimpse of the omen-teller on his way back to camp.
Padding to the entrance of the cavern, he followed Honeyteller's scent and soon found her sunbathing beside Amberstep.
"I'm sorry to interrupt," his deep voice rumbled as he stood at a respectable distance from the two. "But there is something I must tell you- Icetail and Gingerear were attacked by a fox. They are resting in the healers' den now"

Noticing Mapleflight sitting in camp, Falconmist got up from where she was sitting and walked over to the she-cat. She had been watching all of the commotion as Gingerear and Icetail were led into camp. "These foxes are getting out of paw." The tabby she-cat mewed in greeting, flicking her ears to Mapleflight as she approached the she-cat. Falconmist gave a small sigh and looked over to the healer's den before looking back to the ginger and white she-cat in front of her. Sitting down, the long-legged she-cat wrapped her tail around her paws. "I wonder what Honeyteller will do about it.." She mewed, tipping her head. What could a clan do about multiple fox attacks, anyway? Foxes were a completely different species, and weren't going to pay attention to their scent markers. Falconmist was curious to see how this would be handled.

With no reason to complain or go against Mothlight’s words, Icetail did as he was told. He padded over to the open nest and carefully lay down, conscious of where his worst wounds were as he did. The tomcat had to maneuver himself a few times before he got comfortable enough to sink into the moss. Once he did he let out a slow sigh, amber eyes narrowing into slits. His position wasn’t the most comfortable, but there was enough comfort there considering how injured he was. Icetail had a vague memory of a now deceased warrior breaking his leg. Looking at Gingerear’s leg it looked incredibly painful, but he wasn’t prepared for the sick feeling that took over him when Mothlight began to mess with the other she-cat’s limb. The white tom felt his stomach lurch as Gingerear’s bone crackled. The sound echoed in the elite’s head for a long moment, his own teeth clenching down as if there were a stick in his maw as well. Poor Gingerear, he thought sympathetically. Even if she had had poppy seeds Icetail knew that still hurt. Even if she hadn’t reacted as she had Icetail felt like his stomach would still do flips and turns over the sight. The tom only felt better when Mothlight came up to him. Subconsciously he reached up for her, meeting her half way as she pressed her nose against his cheek. ”I’m not that hurt,” he whispered gently. ”Just a few scratches. The worst is on my back.” That was where the fox had bit him before it had gotten ahold of Gingerear. The wound was still burning, but Icetail no longer felt blood oozing out of the mark.
- - -
Almost immediately Honeyteller felt her muscles, once tense, relax as she lay down and stretched herself out in the sun. She turned to rest close against Amberstep, her fur brushing ever so lightly against the ginger female. Just the calm presence of Amberstep made Honeyteller feel better. ”I’m fine, just tired,” she breathed softly, leaning forward to press her nose against the elite’s shoulder. The omen-teller found it all the more relaxing to take in the familiar scent of the she-cat beside her. ”It was about foxes, Amberstep,” she whispered, wanting to get some of the stress off her shoulders. Luckily she could tell Amberstep anything. ”They were in the shadows, snarling and baring their fangs...then this white fox appeared. It...it looked right at me, like it knew who I was, then attacked…” A shiver went down the white and ginger she-cat’s spine as she recalled her omen. What was the white fox all about? And why did it seem to have known her on a personal level? These questions faded away as worry spiked through Honeyteller. She almost jumped at the sound of Nightstorm’s voice, relaxing only once she pressed closer to Amberstep. Briefly her eyes widened and her ears flattened. Gingerear was attacked? Icetail as well? ”How bad are they?” She questioned her protector in a shaky voice; usually she would have been firm and steady, but after her sight there was no way she could calm the shakiness to her voice, especially not when Gingerear was one of the injured cats. ”There must be something we can do about these foxes. That’s two attacks in two days…” If the Clan went on like this how long would it be before they started losing members of the Clan to foxes?
- - -
”We’re leaving for, well, I’m not sure,” Sagepaw admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. Why did it matter how long they would be gone? This was their chance to show that they could survive after all. Eventually they would return, so there was that. ”Maybe a season or something. It’ll be fun. And yeah, no foxes would ever dare touch us!” Sagepaw leaned over and nudged the bob-tailed tom when he was startled by the butterfly. Ospreypaw had always been easily spooked, even by harmless creatures. ”Hey, it’s fine.” A smile was placed over the she-cat’s face as she looked at her friend with bright amber eyes. Back to the main topic of leaving the Clan, Sagepaw gestured with her tail to the mountains. ”We’ll be living up there. PeakClan! I’m Sageteller, and there’s Darkteller, Raventail, and you, Ospreyheart.” As she said his “new” name she nudged him with enthusiasm. ”Unless you want a different name. I’ll let you have a say in it.”

Situating herself next to Icetail, Mothlight couldn't help but let a purr rumble out of her throat when the tom assured her that he was okay. Compared to the other fox attack wounds she had seen just over the past few days, she knew the tom was telling the truth. Mothlight couldn't seem to shake her worry, though. Icetail was an elite, and more importantly her friend, her best friend. She didn't want to see the tom hurt in any way, not when the clan needed him so much. With two elites out of commission, what was Honeyteller going to do?
Mothlight shook the thoughts away and pulled her muzzle away from Icetail. Shaking her head, the she-cat gently began to lick the blood away from his wounds. The area had to be clean, after all. But deep down that she-cat knew she wasn't doing this to just clean his wounds, but also to comfort herself and the tom.
"This might burn a bit." She warned, chewing up the goldenrod and gently placing it along his scratches. She moved down to the tom's back and pinned her ears. A sudden anger at the fox came over her when she saw how bad they were. What in the name of the Givers did they want? GroundClan wasn't asking them for trouble, or even badgering them to the point in attacking. Giving a small sigh, Mothlight went back to her work. She couldn't think about the foxes, not when she had cats to care for. The tortoiseshell placed the cobwebs strategically over the cuts and scratches, doing her best to be swift about the action without inflicting any more pain.

In all honesty Icetail hadn’t even thought about being truly out of commission. He wasn’t all that injured, not like Gingerear or Amberstep. He already knew that he wouldn’t be able to go on patrols anytime soon, but he didn’t see why he wouldn’t be able to announce patrols. Perhaps, if anything, Honeyteller would name the third and final elite. It would be one of the healers, but a former healer turned elite would be just as important. They could still make patrols and whatnot even if traditionally a healer elite formed herb gathering patrols. Icetail pushed the thoughts aside to the back of his mind. Right now he wanted to concentrate on nothing but Mothlight. A soft purr could be heard coming from the tomcat as Mothlight began to clean out some of his wounds. He couldn’t help but turn and give the tortoiseshell a few comforting licks in return. ”It was a young tod that attacked us,” Icetail murmured. ”I’m sure it was after the prey Gingerear and I had caught, though the mange-pelt looked quite plump. If it weren’t for the fact that the thing was a tod I would have guessed it to be an expecting vixen.” It was odd that a fox had attacked the two felines over prey when the tod very obviously was not starving. Was it so fat that it had gotten lazy and didn’t even want to catch its own prey? Foxes were dumb, there was no telling what had motivated it to attack. A sharp gasp of newfound pain escaped Icetail. He flinched as the chewed up goldenrod was placed on his wounds. He closed his eyes until the pain turned into a numbing sensation. Slowly he found himself relaxing. ”We need to do something about these foxes. Soon they’ll be doing more than just injuries.” Before long their Clanmates would start dying at the paws of these foxes. Something had to be done, and soon.

Mothlight pulled away from the tom when he spoke up. The she-cat hadn't asked for an explanation on what happened, and generally she didn't ask things that didn't directly influence wounds, but hearing about the fox was slightly interesting. She gave an amused snort when Icetail said it could have been mistaken for an expecting vixen, but shook her head afterward. "It's beginning to get out of paw." She mewed, gently placing the goldenrod on the elite's wounds. "Cats can't keep getting injured. Before we know it all the herb storage will be gone.." She murmured, flicking her ears. The tortoiseshell she-cat flinched with Icetail gasped. Normally the she-cat wouldn't be flinching when a cat cried out in pain, but with Icetail, things were different. She didn't like having to discuss healer matters with the elite and she also didn't like having to treat his wounds, but what more could she do? She was able to be vulnerable with the tom in a way she had never had to be, and it wasn't always good. Healing him was going to be difficult, it always had been, but with their affection steadily rising for one another.. Well, that was a different situation.
The she-cat placed the remaining cobwebs on the tom's back and stepped away. She pushed a poppyseed in his direction, gesturing down at it with a nod of her head. "You need to take this." She mewed. "It'll help you get some rest." Part of her knew that ice tail would probably reject the seed, but he needed it. Blinking at his comment about controlling the foxes, she twitched her whiskers. "What do you think Honeyteller will do?" She asked. The decision was ultimately up to the omen-teller, not the elites.

It just felt so natural to be telling Mothlight what had happened. No matter what he had to say Icetail knew that Mothlight had an open ear for him, for any cat really. There was not many cats that the white tom would open up to, none really, except for the tortoiseshell that was right beside him. She was the one cat that Icetail felt truly open around. Even when she had been with Adderflame Icetail had felt open to Mothlight. She was his friend, and he honestly wanted more than that, but he wouldn’t dare make a move so bold if he felt that she was still too wary on taking another mate. After some time the sting of goldenrod faded away. His wounds were starting to feel numb as the herb began to take and do its job. Hopefully goldenrod typically made a wound feel numb, if not, Icetail was probably experiencing some sort of reaction. Then again, he had never had problems with the herb before - Icetail had plenty of run ins with the herb in his career as a protector. ”You’re right,” he admitted after a moment of thought. ”We won’t have a proper Clan if cats keep getting injured. It doesn’t help that we also have a shortage of healers.” There were quite a few tenderpaw healers, but as for full-fledged ones, the Clan protectors certainly outnumbered them. Perhaps some of the tenderpaws could soon take on full responsibilities if the attacks kept happening. A low grumble came from the tomcat, a sound that went against his otherwise pain-free mood. ”Do I have to?” He nudged the seed away as if trying to get rid of it himself, but after a moment he finally just leaned forward and lapped it up. He knew Mothlight would make him take it one way or another, and acting like a kit wouldn’t change that fact. ”I’m not sure what Honeyteller will do, but if I were omen-teller I would send a large patrol and show those foxes that his is GroundClan’s rightful territory.” He was firm with his idea. If they chased the foxes out and showed them who was boss, then they would turn tail and run. Icetail found himself yawning at the thought, the poppy seed slowly bringing him closer and closer to a calm slumber.

With all of her work being finished, Mothlight settled down next to Icetail and licked the tom's ear. As far as she could tell, he was the last cat that needed any help in the way of herbs, so she took that as a sign that she got to stay with him. Of course in her watching over Icetail she would in turn be watching over Gingerear, but Breezepaw was there as well so she didn't have to split her attention completely.
Mothlight nodded at Icetail. "Luckily we're managing." She mewed. "I just don't want to run out of herbs. I don't think we will, but I think it's always a subconscious worry." She managed a weak smile at her words. Herbs were different than prey. They were harder to find and much more difficult to keep alive, even more difficult to find. The she-cat couldn't help but purr when Icetail listened to her and ate the poppy seed. The twitched her whiskers amusingly. The tom knew what was up- either way Mothlight was going to make him take it. He could either go the easy route or the difficult route.
When Icetail spoke up, Mothlight could hear the effects of the poppy seed taking place. With a small purr, she rubbed her head against his softly. "Well, I hope you have nice dreams about it." She purred, licking his head softly before curling up next to him.

Was it even possible to run out of herbs? Even though GroundClan territory was not a total forest, there were plenty of grasses and herbs out there to be collected. Icetail didn’t know anything about herbs other than that they healed in different ways, but herbs didn’t run out in the wild, did they? That just sounded impossible. It was like saying mice would run out. Maybe he was thinking too far into this with a poppy seed in his system. He probably wasn’t thinking as clearly as he could. ”I’m sure you’ll have plenty of herbs. When has GroundClan ever run out?” He questioned with a large yawn. No longer able to keep his eyes open, Icetail curled up into himself. Luckily he wasn’t asleep by the time Mothlight curled up against him. He purred peacefully. His mind hazy from the urge to sleep, Icetail wasn’t completely aware of what all was just his own personal thoughts and what he was actually saying aloud. ”Mothlight, have I ever told you how much I like you?” The elite was sure his words had only been a fleeting thought for him to hear, not something he had let slip and come out into the real world.

[ officially dying of cuteness ]

In all honesty, Mothlight didn't know whether herbs could actually run out. She imagined in a hard freeze they might, but leaf-bare was always quite harsh and it hadn't happened yet, but what did she know? The thought had always been a subtle fear in the back of her mind, but not one she ever really chose to speak about. "We haven't." She mewed gently, a small smile upon her maw. "Don't worry about it. You need to rest." The tortoiseshell also uttered a small yawn. She wasn't very tired, they just happened to be quite contagious.
Mothlight purred when she pressed up against Icetail. Her mind was consumed by the warmth of his fur and the smell of his scent. She almost felt sickened by the thought of liking him, but it just felt so right. Adderflame would surely understand; he wanted her to be happy. And she had come so far... Hearing Icetail's words caused Mothlight to lift her head. Had she heard him correctly? Her pelt couldn't help but burn at the thought. She gave a weak smile and pressed her nose against his cheek. "I like you too." She whispered, meaning the words platonically and also romantically. She wasn't quite sure how to respond. Was this just the poppy seeds talking or actually Icetail?
