GroundClan --
- - The level and determined Welcome -- The land of Alberta, Canada has always been harsh for the wildlife. So easily does one become hungry and close to the jaws of death in this beautifully dangerous land. Feral cats never lasted long out in the looming mountains, swerving rivers, and stretching valleys; however, many generations ago, a group of four siblings changed everything for the wild cats of this wilderness. There were three brothers - Jackrabbit, Arrow, and Sycamore. There was also one sister - Lichen. While hunting one day, the four siblings came upon unstable land. They fell through, landing into an otherwise stable cavern deep in the ground. After the initial shock the siblings realized that the cavern had everything a cat could ask for in a good shelter. There was protected dens, a small stream trickling through, and even a way in and out. Hunting was excellent in the area as well. The four knew it was fate that they found the underground cave. Over the seasons they welcomed more and more cats to their cave. Throughout the seasons a few cats that had joined their group had passed on; it was during a full moon when some of these cats came to Arrow in a dream. They told the gray tabby that it was the group's destiny to form a dedicated group, a Clan. Over time this idea became accepted and was followed through. Arrow became the first omen-teller, the first leader, and was known as Arrowteller from then on. Jackrabbit became one of the Clan's first protectors along with Lichen who became Lichenflight. Sycamore became Sycamoreleaf and a healer. Before Arrowteller passed on, he and his siblings decided on a name for their group - GroundClan. If it had not of been for the unstable ground they had found then feral cats would never stand a true chance out in the wilderness. While Arrowteller and his siblings are long gone, their blood and dream still runs strong in GroundClan. It is time for a new generation to step forward and keep their traditions alive.Activity: This should be a pretty self-explanatory rule. Just be active if you've joined, alright? I completely understand having a life outside of the forums and all, but do please try to come on twice a week, once a week to role-play if anything. If you know you'll be absent for a while, please inform me if possible.
Advanced: In a way this Clan is for those who tend to write more than just a sentence or two in their replies. While everybody is welcome to join, I would like to see three plus lines in every reply, though I understand that that is not always possible. Just try your best and give it what you got, I'm not too picky about this rule.
Gender Ratio: Please don't make an over abundance of she-cats. For every she-cat there must be at least one tom, so keep that in mind when making characters. This rule I am very strict with.
Perfection: Do not make perfect characters. No cat can be the most beautiful of all or the best at anything and everything. Don't make any character with perfect looks or attitudes. Nobody wants those around.
Realism: Keep your cats realistic. Did you know that a black cat can't actually have blue eyes? Or that, if on the odd chance a tom is born as a calico or tortoiseshell, he will be sterile? If asked I may allow a tri-colored male or a black cat with blue eyes, but please ask first. Also, cats can't be purple or pink or green, and cats most certainly cannot fly or breathe under water. Keep everything real.
LGBTQA+ Characters: This Clan is open to characters of all orientations, as simple as that. If you don't like it, then this Clan isn't for you, sorry.
Limits: There really is no limit to how many characters you may have, but just don't overload yourself. Role-play all of your characters as equally as possible.
Spamming: There's no sense in spamming, so don't do it. You may chat and people can ask for others to go to another topic, but don't do any unnecessary things that would be considered spamming. Name | Gender | Rank Book description and personality You may add any family and/or sexuality and romantic orientation No longer accepting tenderpaws Do not join with a dam or kit If joining with a tenderpaw, indicate if training as a healer or protector

Territory -- The most important part of any Clan's territory would be the camp. This is where Clan life begins and ends. GroundClan's camp is a very well protected and secluded underground cavern deep in the woods not too far from the mountains. With a crystal clear stream running through the camp an abundance of soft moss grows for nests. Because of this cats do not need to travel far for a source of water and bedding. Every den is made from deep depressions in the cavern's walls. The camp is large and can hold many cats at once, and while it is large, it is as protected as a kit besides its mother's belly. Throughout the territory of GroundClan a wide river rushes through. This large body of water gives life to not only just the Clan, but to the wildlife around the Clan. The river is a useful source of food as it is plentiful when in its prime. A variety of waterfowl and shorebirds make nests along the bay of the river, and fish is always available if a cat wants to try their paw at fishing. The river is also a source of water when cats are outside of camp; despite all of its wonderful offers, the river can be just as deadly as it is helpful. Bears frequent the rapids, especially when the salmon are spawning. Cats have been known to fall in and never come back up, only sometimes their washed up bodies found some days later. A smart cat knows to appreciate the river, but to be cautious when around it. Not far from the river's north basin, a tall and looming pine tree can be found. Known to the Clan as Falcon Pine, this particular tree is the oldest and tallest known tree in GroundClan territory. An abundant of prey can be found around this ancient tree, but where there is prey, there are predators. Aptly named for how many falcons gather to this tree, the Falcon Pine is a dangerous place for smaller felines. Patrols sent out here are to be cautious, always aware of what may be perched high above. Not even the tallest tree can stand up to the towering mountains of GroundClan's terrain. The Startoucher Peaks are intimidatingly tall, so tall in fact, that they were named for just how high they go. The peaks within the mountain range are so tall that they seem to be touching even the faintest of stars. While no cat goes to the very tops of the mountains, many cats do find that the mountains have an abundance of prey when the right spot is found. Deep within one of the mountains that make up the Startoucher Peaks resides a cavern hidden from the world. Only with the guidance of the deceased did the very first omen-teller of the Clan, Arrowteller, find this sacred place. Known as the Whispering Cavern, the voices of the Givers can be heard in the deepest part of the cave. Only chosen cats may enter this cave - if not chosen to venture into the whispers of the deceased and found out, punishment will follow. To speak with the Givers, a cat must fall asleep within the cave. From there the ancestors will come by dream. Only dawn marks the time of departure for cats both dead and alive.

Custom -- The Givers: These cats are those who have lost their physical form and have ascended to their spiritual form. These are those who have died and passed on to the skies above. The Givers are named due to their ability to come to certain cats and give advice, give wisdom, give courage. They also give omens and prophecies to the Clan's current omen-teller, making the Givers the most powerful beings in Clan life. Star-kissed: Only three cats in all of GroundClan history have been star-kissed - Falconteller, Mistyteller, and the current Honeyteller. This is a highly rare phenomena; A star-kissed cat is one who is born destined to become the next omen-teller of the Clan. From a very early age these cats are given glimpses of their future or the future of the Clan. They are also given bits of pieces of omens or prophecies. When Star-kissed, the cat is directly trained under the watchful eye of the current omen-teller. As soon as the current omen-teller passes on to become a Giver, the Star-kissed cat becomes the new omen-teller even if they were never in rank with the elites. Omen-teller: Not only is this cat the sole leader of the Clan, this cat holds the strongest connection with the Givers than any other living cat at the moment. Omen-tellers receive prophecies and must interpret them in a timely manner to keep the Clan updated on what is to come in the possible future. As the most important cat in the Clan, and the cat with the strongest connection to the Givers, omen-tellers are given nine lives when they are appointed before the Givers. Typically only the omen-teller knows how many lives they have. Elites: With each new omen-teller comes three new elites. These cats have proven themselves to be strong, capable, and trust-worthy. When it is time for a new omen-teller to be chosen, the three elites will gather in the Whispering Cavern where the Givers will connect their dreams and directly choose the new omen-teller of GroundClan. The only rule that an omen-teller has for picking the elites is that one elite must have been a protector and one elite must have been a healer; the third elite can come from either rank. Healers: Healers are the cats that have shown an interest in healing their Clanmates with herbs and remedies of all kinds. These cats train to work with the ability to heal rather than work to learn how to fight and hunt; Healers do get a few training sessions in how to provide and protect themselves but they typically only learn the basics as their training is centered around healing. Protectors: While healers learn how to heal and mend, protectors learn how to fight and hunt. These cats protect the Clan by providing a steady supply of food and protection in the way of sharpened battle skills. Mates: Any cat within the Clan can take a mate whether that cat is a protector, healer, or elite. It also a common occurrence in GroundClan that a protector and a healer become mates. Having a mate and kits is not restricted by rank in this Clan.
New Omen-teller: It is not everyday that a new omen-teller is made. When the last omen-teller has passed on a new one must take their place if the Clan is to keep going. When a new omen-teller is to be named, all three of the elites will go to the Whispering Cavern where they will share a dream together with the Givers. In the dream the Givers will choose the new omen-teller, grant nine lives, and a new name. The new omen-teller is then received with warmth and pride once they have returned back to camp the next morning. Becoming an Elite: To become an elite a cat must possess the qualities of a fair leader. They must be wise and dependable, a trustworthy cat that others will follow without question. Training a tenderpaw is not required but is certainly an extra boost for a cat to become an elite. At a time there are three elites, and when a new omen-teller is named, they have three moons to pick all three of their elites - a moon to pick one at a time. When an elite is named there is a Clan wide celebration in the name of those named an elite. Healer and Protector Initiation: To become a full-fledged member of GroundClan, a tenderpaw must go through one final assessment. If training to become a healer, a tenderpaw must show off their memory of herbs and show that they know how to properly heal. If training to become a protector, the tenderpaw must catch a certain prey item or a certain number of prey creatures as dictated by their mentor. The next day they then must either beat their mentor in a mock battle to show greater skill or come to a stalemate with their mentor to show equal ability. A celebration then takes place once a tenderpaw receives their full name within the Clan. Retiring: Not many cats make it to elder age. If a cat is lucky to live this long and retire, the omen-teller will announce this cat's wish to join the elders' den. Once the cat has been initiated as a true elder, the Clan will gather around the cat and show their respect and wish for peace and rest for the elder. After this the Clan will gather to share tongues until they are ready to depart for the night.
Omen-teller: The leader of the Clan. This cat makes all final decisions and receives omens and prophecies from the Givers to interpret and give to the Clan. Elites: These three cats are former healers and protectors. One of the three is to be next in line to become an omen-teller once chosen by the Givers. They set up hunting, border, and herb gathering patrols. Healers: These are the cats that heal their injured and sick Clanmates. They assist with difficult births and oversee the overall health of GroundClan. They are allowed to have a mate and kits. This rank is unlimited like protectors. Protectors: These are the cats that have trained to hunt and defend their Clan. They know little about healing as their job is to protect. Tenderpaws: The apprentices of the Clan. These are young cats within the ages of six to fourteen moons. These cats are in training to either become a healer or a protector. Dams: The mothers of GroundClan. These cats are either expecting, nursing, or helping new dams with their litters. Kits: Cats that are under the age of six moons are kits. They stay in camp to be watched by either their mother or the Clan itself. Elders: These cats are former healers and protectors that have grown old and weary. This is the rank of retirement, peace, and rightful rest.

Season -- The current season is new-leaf. Gradually the temperature is rising, but the nights are still cold and the mornings are still frosty. The river is flowing well again as the last bits of ice melt. Prey is beginning to run more freely.
Main Plot: The last omen-teller, Cloudteller, has died. Now in his place stands his only daughter Honeyteller. Ever since she was a kit she has had a deep connection with the Givers, making her one of the only cats to have ever been star-kissed. When her father died she immediately became the new omen-teller, and while she is star-kissed, her ascent to leadership has not been met with full celebration. Her brother Icetail has been in his sister's shadow since the beginning. Every cat would pay attention to his sister or talk about how rare of a cat she was. This made Icetail grow bitter over his sister. If not for her he would have succeeded his father. Honeyteller does not know the full extent of her brother's plots, but she is growing more and more paranoid of him every day. Despite this she has made him one of the elites, and this choice has given Icetail the power to slowly begin tearing down Honeyteller's reign. If he can subtly get cats to be on his side then he can take over the role of leadership, the role he feels as if should have been his from the beginning. Cats involved: Entire Clan
Subplots: The young Sagepaw is tired of her father's never ending nagging and over-protectiveness. Ever since the death of Sagepaw's mother, Hollyheart, Cherrystorm has become a burr in his daughter's side. He babies her and just will not leave her alone. Tired of Cherrystorm's constant hovering, Sagepaw decides to leave the Clan, only long enough to show that she can very well survive without her father. Maybe if she proves herself in a huge way then her father will finally give her some space; however, Sagepaw isn't going to go alone. She decides to bring along three other tenderpaws with her. Together the four go on a journey to prove their worth and no telling where such a journey will take the group. Cats involved: Cherrystorm, Sagepaw, Darkpaw, Ravenpaw, Ospreypaw
3/25/17: GroundClan has officially opened! 3/30/17: Amberstep and Sagepaw ran into a mother fox. The two were injured and are currently healing back in camp. 4/12/17: Sagepaw, along with Darkpaw, Ravenpaw, and Ospreypaw, has decided to leave the Clan and live in the mountains. 4/12/17: Icetail and Gingerear were attacked by a young fox. Icetail was mildly wounded while Gingerear broke a leg; they are currently healing. 4/13/17: Honeyteller has received a mysterious omen about dangerous foxes. 4/20/17: Icetail asked Mothlight to be his mate. She accepted his offer and the two are now mates.

Honeyteller: A soft-furred white she-cat with a honey-ginger patch over her forehead and ears; her plumy tail is honey-ginger as well and she has deep amber eyes. Honeyteller is a soft-spoken feline with hints of paranoia that she hides well. She is caring, kind, and physically strong. Homosexual homoromantic.
Icetail: A silky-furred solid white tomcat with a plumy tail and deep amber eyes. He is strong-willed, persuasive, ambitious, and can even be somewhat arrogant. Demisexual demiromantic.
Amberstep: A dark ginger she-cat with a white-tipped tail and a heavily scarred right side. She is generally kind but harsh towards those who she thinks have betrayed the Clan's morals. She believes in giving everything to support the Clan's well-being. Homosexual homoromantic.

Allegiances --
Mistwatcher: A long-furred white and grey tom with hazel eyes. He has a reputation for being scatterbrained and forgetful, but is quite friendly and helpful. Even if he’s great with herbs, though, Mistwatcher is even more miserable at self-defense and fighting than most healers. Asexual demiromantic.
Leafbriar: A light brown she-cat with generic tabby markings. She has white paws, a white stomach, and a white nose and chin. She has amber eyes, and is small and lithe. Leafbriar is a sarcastic and witty young she-cat, with a confident and boisterous attitude. A sibling to Darkpaw and Ravenpaw from an older litter.
Willowbird: Dappled cream she-cat with a twisted right front paw and dark blue eyes. She is friendly and unassuming, and protective of her friends. She has some protector training as well as full healing from a mentor that believed that defending oneself was key, especially with a twisted paw from birth. However, not many know about this. She loves to take long walks and tease her brother, Windchaser. Heteroromantic heterosexual.
Mothlight: A tall, slender black and ginger tortoiseshell she-cat with pale yellowish-green eyes. Her left forepaw is solid ginger. Mothlight is generally quiet and passive, though very serious about her role as a healer. She loves serving her Clan with medicine, and if anyone were to tamper with that Mothlight is known to have a strong temper. Demisexual demiromantic.
Brackentail: His broad, muscular shoulders are the source of his strength and agility. He has a long, thick coat, his underbelly a lighter shade than the rest of his grey frame. Darker tabby stripes dripple onto his back and flow down his frame, his fur growing lighter and lighter. He has alluring green eyes and is noticing that his sight is beginning to falter. He does not believe in wasting time or putting things off. He's no genius but he is rather clever and can easily squeeze out of difficult situations, not that he ever really has to. Brackentail is as loyal as they get. Tried and true. Cats depending on him is not an unfamiliar pressure.
Cherrystorm: A slender ginger tabby tom with amber eyes. Typically he is a short-tempered cat who is easy to anger; however, he is very protective and clingy toward his only daughter. Demisexual demiromantic.
Kestrelheart: A tall, lightly scarred dark brown tabby she-cat with green eyes and a torn left ear. She is not trustful of others just as they dislike her, besides her son, Ospreypaw, after a loner broke her heart and left her after hearing she would have his kits. She's extremely fierce and clever. Bisexual biromantic.
Silvernight: Beautifully and gracefully built, long-legged she-cat with glossy pale gray fur. Darker tabby markings run themselves all over her body and both her forepaws are white. She has emerald green eyes. Despite her looks and charms, Silvernight is very feisty, never taking no for an answer and disobeying all the rules. She is nowhere near as cute and cuddly as she looks. She's bisexual. Her twin brother is Quietbreeze.
Quietbreeze: Long-legged and gracefully built tomcat with long and glossy darker gray tabby fur, along with white forepaws. He shares the same beauty as his twin sister Silvernight, even having a bit of a feminine look to his appearance. They also share the same emerald colored eyes. As his name gives away, Quietbreeze is very asocial. He dislikes talking to cats because it's always awkward, especially when he stutters.
Elkpath: A long-legged, brown and tan tom with pale green eyes. Elkpath is a rather quiet and timid fellow, not one to be very social. Being self-conscious and a worry-wort, conversations aren't exactly his strong point. Under his shell though, he is a very sweet and kind cat. He has rather sharpened senses of hearing and scent which makes him a surprisingly excellent hunter and tracker. Homosexual.
Soothawk: A large, dark gray tom with faint tabby markings. He has a white muzzle and pale green eyes. Soothawk is intuitive and quiet, much like a hawk. He is a listener more than a talker, and come often times come off as rude because of this. Heterosexual heteroromantic.
Nettlemask: A small tom with the coloring of a snow Bengal cat. His tail is a deep gray-brown color and his eyes are a piercing amber in color. Nettlemask is snarky and cunning, the exact opposite of his brother, Soothawk. He often speaks before thinking and generally does as he pleases. Bisexual heteroromantic.
Gingerear: A large white she-cat with ginger colored ears and tail, with deep amber eyes. Gingerear is an observer. She is generally quiet and takes in her surroundings rather than asserting herself into every situation. She is a very wise she-cat, and is very much a leader rather than a follower. Homosexual homoromantic.
Falconmist: A tall and lean she-cat with brown spotted tabby markings. Her eyes are piercing green. Falconmist is independent and protective, often clashing with other strong-willed cats like herself. She always seems to be ahead of everyone's next move. Heterosexual heteroromantic.
Cobaltshard: An average sized tom with short, blue-grey fur that coats his body - except for an asymmetrical slash of white on his chest. His eyes are pale green in color. Cobaltshard is fairly brazen, he always seems sure of himself. He is a thinker when it comes to just about everything, he still enjoys learning even though he is no longer a tenderpaw. Cobaltshard is, for the most part, mellow and laid back. He very much enjoys company and pleasing those around him - even if it means stretching himself thin. He has a bad habit of bottling his negative emotions up until he, inevitably, explodes. Bisexual heteromantic.
Thornstep: A ginger tabby tom with thick stripes and marbled patches streaking across his pelt. He has green eyes and is tall and lithe for his stature. He is friendly and easygoing, and enjoys the company of others. He is flirtatious and charming, but often dislikes socializing with the younger members of the Clan, as their shenanigans and immaturity can often be too much for him.
Jackdawsong: A slender, jet-black tom with yellow eyes. Quite the charming fellow from his looks to his eloquent way with words. Jackdawsong is considered to be rather flirtatious with almost anyone by the way he compliments them. While it may seem he is leading to bad intentions, he really just holds a high respect for others and feels the need to praise them as so. Bisexual.
Windchaser: A long-legged white and cream tom with dark blue eyes and a fluffy tail. He is cautious of others, unlike Willowbird, his sister, but will not avoid other cats. He has a slight knowledge of herbs from his sister, and loves learning more. If a cat has knowledge to offer him, he will gladly be their best friend no matter who they are. Biromantic bisexual.
Briarflame: A large pale brown tabby she-cat with long hair. She has a white muzzle, throat, chest, underbelly, and paws, as well as white tufts of hair in her ears. Her nose is bright pinked her almond shaped eyes are yellow. Briarflame is a tough she-cat, with a strong and brash exterior. She is the opposite of her mother, Mothlight. She tends to dominate every situation and isn't afraid to take charge. Heterosexual demiromantic.
Dandelionmilk: A small, mute, amber-eyed and pale cream furred she-cat with very fine short fur. Each of her soft, delicate and short-clawed paws are white, along with an out-of-place fleck on her chin. Dandelionmilk is pansexual and panromantic, with a very quiet personality, in the sense that she isn't very social or out-going with her Clanmates. It takes a special cat to become her friend, since they need to be patient enough with her, and understand how quiet she is with or without a voice.
Ripplerain: A burly, fuzzy tom with dark grey fur and dull blue eyes, also the brother of Dandelionmilk. He has a bobbed tail, most likely a birth-defect, and wide ears. Ripplerain is homosexual and homoromantic, with an easy-going personality and a soft voice. He is very friendly and catches feelings easily, but has never flirted before. Ripplerain and Dandelionmilk's relationship is neutral, they are close, but have their own things to do.
Mapleflight: A short-furred lithe ginger tabby with sharp ears, a white belly, white socks and a white tail-tip. Her eyes are amber with tints of forest green. Mapleflight has a fiery personality. She is energetic and somewhat sassy. Mapleflight's hobby is climbing trees as she loves being above ground. To her, the more dangerous something is, the more fun it'll bring her. However, she does know her limits.
Nightstorm: A muscular dark grey tabby tom with bright, almond-shaped amber eyes that contrast his fur. His prominent features include an 'X' shaped scar on his left shoulder, multiple nicks on his right ear, and most importantly how the tabby markings on his back resemble tiger stripes as they fade towards his belly. Nightstorm is introverted and usually comes off as scary, mysterious and intimidating to other cats because of his outward appearance. He appreciates his personal space much more than most cats, and is silent most of the time. However, he is actually respectful (if you earn his respect, that is) and polite if one were to talk to him. He dislikes cats who behave like brats and is a very straightforward cat.
Heatherstep: Golden brown fur coats her slender frame. She has large ears and almond-shaped brown eyes. Heatherstep's feathery tail is longer than most cats'. She's a little rough around the edges and has been described by others as secretive, bold, and sharp. However, beneath the rough exterior is a rather sweet, gentle cat. Though that's if you get to know her, to others she is just as bitter as she is stubborn. Bisexual.
Falloweyes: A small cat, her legs are slightly too short and connect stubbornly to her paws. She sports a ginger tabby coat with white paws and underbelly. She has golden eyes and long whiskers. Her curiosity is never sedated, and is constantly poking about. She may be older now, but she will always be a kit at heart. Her ways may be wily and ridiculous at first if you cannot tolerate it, because she does come from a different land. Homosexual.

Allegiances --
Sagepaw: A slender light ginger tabby she-cat with amber eyes. She is a temperamental spitfire who, of course, has a rebellious nature. Training to be a protector. Heterosexual biromantic.
Ospreypaw: A light brown mackerel tabby tom with dark brown eyes and a bobbed tail. He is a softer spoken tom than most and prefers more to talk than fight, but will do so with surprising will when provoked. He is intelligent and incredibly loyal. Training to be a healer. Aromantic and asexual.
Batpaw: A dark gray she-cat with piercing amber eyes. Batpaw is a very feisty and headstrong cat with a fiery personality. Despite being impatient at times and having having a rather sharp tongue, she is extremely loyal and devoted to the Clan and the ones she loves. Bisexual.
Owlpaw: A fluffy, small brown tabby she-cat with bright golden eyes. Owlpaw is a vigorous and bubbly she-cat with a heart of gold. She is very optimistic and sees the bright side in everyone; however, she isn't the most intelligent at times and can be rather oblivious to certain things. Panromantic ssexual.
Galepaw: Somewhat of a fuzzball, he is mildly stocky. While having a somewhat sleek coat, his fur has a very slight fuzzy appearance to it. Galepaw's pelt is a light silver color with white accents on his paws, chest, neck and muzzle. Grey stripes go up his legs and fade as they go along his flanks; they bleed into thicker blotches on his tail. His eyes are fairly large and are colored faintly yellow. Galepaw is a fiery fellow, usually full of energy and ready to go. He can be a little hot headed sometimes and when he should bite he tongue, he seems to forget how. This tom does have a good heart however, and although he may not like admitting his mistakes, after time he eventually breaks down - owning up to them. While he may be overbearing at times, Galepaw's a loyal tom and does his best to be a good friend. Healer tenderpaw. Heterosexual heteromantic.
Sunpaw: A sandy tabby she-cat with thick brown stripes. She is on the petite side of the body spectrum and her eyes a striking golden color. Sunpaw is the near epitome of a feline dare devil. She's a rough cat and won't take no for an answer. Always eager to get into trouble and prove anyone wrong. This tends to get her into a mess of trouble, she never seems to mind though. Sunpaw is actually a rather passive aggressive cat, despite her destructive behavior. She's usually in good spirits and likes to uplift others when she can. Sometimes she's bad at picking up other cat's emotions - making her seem insincere. Protector tenderpaw. Bisexual biromantic.
Ravenpaw: A black smoke colored tom, with faint stripes zigzagging through his pelt, and amber eyes. Although his fur is short, it doesn't take away from his overall 'bulky' appearance. Ravenpaw is a temperamental young tom, with an attitude that rivals the crankiest of the older cats. He is serious and unforgiving, intolerant of many Clan members. He is often silent, and clings to the edges of the camp, away from bustling activity and the chance of an encounter with Clanmates.
Darkpaw: A black she-cat with occasional specks of orange littered across her coat. She is lithe and tall, with short fur and amber eyes. Darkpaw is a boisterous and spunky she-cat, unafraid to speak her mind. She is ambitious and determined, intolerant of anything that could prevent her from achieving her goals.
Breezepaw: A handsome silver tabby tom with bright blue eyes. His tail and paws are white-tipped, and he also has a white leaf-shaped marking on his chest. He is a calm and amiable individual who is quick on his feet. Being a polite and overly nice cat, he can be naive sometimes. He gets stressed easily and hates feeling helpless, which is what inspired him to train hard to become a healer.

Allegiances --
Graystone: A large marbled gray tom with dark blue eyes and a twisted back-right leg. Graystone is a mellow and easy-going tom with an aura and patience and wisdom. Usually more quiet, he only really talks when he feels necessary. He had to retire early due the injury on his leg from an predator encounter. Heterosexual.

Outside the Clan --
Ember: Dark grey tom with small white splotches on his face and tail, a long scar on his back from a run-in with predators, and amber eyes. He is a traveler from afar, unbelieving in the Givers. He is intelligent, snappish, and defensive, but occasionally kind. Pansexual panromantic.
Scarlet: Her name being that of a physical descriptor, Scarlet is cloaked in a primarily reddish coat with complimentary light brown accents. Her pelt is rather coarse and she has sharp features which give her a rather rugged look. The she-cat's eyes have an amber base with a coppery tint. Scarlet's personalty is about as unusual as her wild looks. She's rather aggressive and one wouldn't find it easy to get close with this feline. Scarlet is very untrusting, which naturally makes herself untrustworthy. When she isn't being aggressive she can come off as fearfully shy. All of these negative attributes probably branch off from her lack of self-esteem, however. Heterosexual aromantic.
Cocoa: A chocolate tortoiseshell she-cat with blue-green eyes. She has a scar on her left eye, which she is blind in, and a long scar running down along her back. Cocoa is a very skittish cat who seems to be always on edge. She has some very serious trust issues as she nearly died from a fox attack one time; it was that fox attack that gave her the ugly scar on her back and caused her to go half-blind.
Rye: A rather common cat, clad with a brown tabby coat and his kin's earthy brown eyes. He is nothing too different from the rest. He's not adventurous, but when confronted with danger or a vicious brute of some sort, he can find his way out, and isn't afraid to stick up for himself. He isn't fierce or unkind, but he isn't a push over either. When it comes to any emotions, he is oblivious. He couldn't tell you what he's feeling, only that he is angry, happy, or sad. The basics. That's as far as his knowledge of emotions go. A short range of emotions, for him, means less to worry about. He never worries about finding a mate or grieving losses, and if he doesn't care about anything, he'll never have to experience them. For now that is.

Starting Post -- Dawn had come and gone. The creamy hues that came with the rising sun had faded into a backdrop of soft blues and grays from clouds that spattered about like eggshells. While airy for now, the clouds showed a hint of carrying rain inside. The scent of rain was slightly there, a barely tangible aspect. There was a chance the mountains and valleys would be cleansed with nature’s own shower. That wouldn’t be much of a problem if it was only a light shower. Should the clouds break and a storm fall upon the land then the river must just flood over; with the season of the ice-melt upon them, the river could swell like an expectant queen and then topple over its banks. There had been a few times when the river seemed like it would flood over, but never had it been so bad that the cats of GroundClan had to seek out shelter in the mountains. Not that it couldn’t happen, though - the bubbling stream that ran through the camp connected to the river. If the river flooded over then surely the stream would soon follow. Some cats didn’t mind getting their paws wet - Icetail and Honeyteller were two such cats that could handle wet fur - but a lot of the Clan was not too welcoming to the idea of becoming aquatic. Not that they could be blamed. Not even those who weren’t opposed to being wet wanted to be wet all the time. Aside from the promise of rain, the day was welcoming. Every now and then a shaft of sunlight would peek through the Clan’s well hidden entrance. And while it was cooler down in the cavern, the world outside was sure to be warm with a crisp breeze. Prey would be running well and plants would be easily gathered on a day like this. It seemed like today would be a good one. The mostly white she-cat let out a sigh. Hopefully the day would prove to be a peaceful one. Or at the very least a busy one for herself; the more busy she was the less time she had to stress and worry about the odd feeling she had in her stomach about her brother. Ever since they had been kits, Icetail had wanted to be like their father - he wanted to be the Clan’s omen-teller, wanted to prove his worth to the Clan that he could bring prosperity and good fortune, but that all changed the moment Honeyteller - Honeykit back then - received a very peculiar dream. For about a moon she thought it had just been a regular dream of her and her brother playing too rough which then caused Honeykit to fall and sprain her paw. When it happened exactly the way she had dreamed it, Honeykit began to question a lot of things. She told her mother, Suncloud, about it. How she had dreamed of it happening and then it happened. At the time Honeyteller didn’t know that her mother had then brought it up with her father as they had decided to wait and see if their daughter had any more prophetic-esque dreams. And she did. They were all small things at first such as protectors coming back with a thorn in the paw or a few scratches from a run in with a spunky bird that had been able to get in a few good hits before becoming fresh-kill. As she grew closer to being six moons old, the term star-kissed was used to describe her. “Star-kissed?” She had asked her mother. “You’ve told us a story about that before, right?” “I have, my dear Honeykit. Being star-kissed is an incredibly rare thing. I can only hope the Clan will still see you as who you truly are,” Suncloud had murmured in a soft whisper to her daughter. Not knowing the power behind her mother’s words, Honeykit had been able to sleep soundly that night, dreaming of the moon and stars. After becoming a tenderpaw everything changed. Icepaw was trained under the watchful eye of Brightclaw, a brilliant protector. Honeypaw was trained directly under her father. Because of her destiny to become omen-teller, which she learned about not long after her training began, Honeyteller was never truly trained to be a healer or a protector, instead her training focused solely on how to lead the Clan and how to hold herself together in times of need. It was when she became a tenderpaw that her true identity came out - she was a star-kissed cat. The whole Clan was in awe with her. They wanted to know what she saw, if she could see their own future, their kits’ futures. They wanted to be her friend if only just to find out more about her unique position. With all the attention on Honeypaw, Icepaw grew more and more bitter as time went on. His sister had ruined his chances of being the omen-teller directly after Cloudteller. To him it just wasn’t fair. And as time went on the sibling bond that the two littermates had slowly faded away. Now they were Honeyteller and Icetail. Cloudteller had passed a moon and a half ago, believing that he was leaving his Clan in good paws. Honeyteller, however, doubted how well of a leader she would be. She knew of Icetail’s jealousy, knew that he wasn’t pleased with how things had turned out. Honeyteller knew he hated being a plain protector - so she named him as her first elite. She had done so in hopes of satisfying his craving of power. To balance things out she had then decided on Amberstep as her second elite. That left her with one more elite to choose and a moon and a half to do so. The decision was weighing heavily on her. And to top it all off, Honeyteller just had a gut feeling that her brother still wasn’t satisfied with his position. He wanted more, wanted to rise up and become Iceteller. Sometimes, in the middle of the night, Honeyteller would find herself waking up due to bouts of terrified paranoia. How far was her brother willing to go just to get what he wanted? He was a stubborn cat. If he wanted something, there was nothing that would stop him from getting it. Honeyteller shook her head to free the sticky thoughts from her mind. She needed to focus on what was in front of her, her Clan. The she-cat was perched near the entrance of her den, a ledge that was her typical resting area during the day that also served as the seat where omen-tellers sat during Clan meetings. From her perch she could see what was going on down below her in the camp; Cherrystorm was stretching outside the protectors’ den. Honeyteller watched as the ginger tom effortlessly found his daughter, Sagepaw, near the fresh-kill pile. The two exchanged a few words, Cherrystorm nuzzling his young daughter, before Sagepaw very obviously snapped at her father. With a masked look the tabby tom turned to pad away. He hesitated for a moment but then decided against whatever he had been thinking of. Luckily he was intercepted by Icetail who was putting patrols together - he usually took care of the hunting patrols. Cherrystorm was one of the Clan’s best hunters as he was fast and agile like a hare. Icetail would most certainly have the ginger tomcat lead a hunting patrol. Honeyteller went on to watch her white-furred brother for a moment longer. After dismissing Cherrystorm, Icetail looked around to see if any more protectors were out and about. He wasn’t going to send out just one cat on an important patrol. After some time had passed Honeyteller looked away. Perhaps it would be good for her to get up and do something. But what would she do? She wasn’t an experienced hunter, wasn’t good at gathering herbs, or finding them for that matter. Perhaps she could tag along with a border patrol… Or maybe she could find something to do in her den. It had been a few days since she had last changed the moss out. But that just didn’t seem compelling, especially when tenderpaws usually went around cleaning nests when their mentors decided not to train them for anything else. With nothing to do in particular, Honeyteller padded down her perch and into the main area of camp. Silently she looked around, wondering if she could catch Icetail or Amberstep to see if she actually could squeeze herself into some sort of patrol, just something to keep her paws and mind busy for the morning.

Silvernight | Female | Protector Beautifully and gracefully built, long-legged she-cat with glossy pale gray fur. Darker tabby markings run themselves all over her body and both her forepaws are white. Emerald green eyes. Despite her looks and charms, Silvernight is very feisty. Never taking no for an answer and disobeying all the rules. She is no where near as cute and cuddly as she looks. She's bisexual. Her twin brother is Quietbreeze.
Quietbreeze | Male | Protector Long-legged and gracefully built tomcat with long and glossy darker gray tabby fur, along with white forepaws. He shares the same beauty as his twin sister Silvernight, even having a bit of a feminine look to his appearance. They also share the same emerald colored eyes. As his name gives away, Quietstream very anti-social. He dislikes talking to cats because it's always awkward. Especially when he stutters.

(( you should! it's really good!! ))
Mistwatcher could only yawn as he made his way out of the resting den, quietly surveying the area with a smile before his eyes landed on Honeyteller. It surprised him that she was up and about- did she want something to do? He had seen her looking lost at times as if she wanted to do something but couldn't find the courage to ask. He silently padded up to her with a tired smile and dipped his head after approaching, showing the omen-teller respect. "It's a good morning, isn't it, Honeyteller? Are you doing well? I've been looking for someone to help us gather some more cobwebs because of all the accidental wounds the protector tenderpaws will most likely be getting soon. Someone told me they'll be working on more fighting soon, and you know how well that goes." His smile grew when he looked back up, peaceful and graceful.
"....Sagepaw?" Ospreypaw's quiet voice was only audible to his friend as he sat there, looking down at the ground quietly at a mouse. "Um. Do you want to talk about what happened? I know you have a lot of issues with your father. I can't. Really say the same, so. I'm sorry if i disturbed you." He looked nervous, even if Sagepaw was a close friend of his. "Uh, are you going to go out with one of the hunting patrols? Or the border patrols?" He looked nervous. "Kestrelheart told me that I had to go with you on a patrol if you went. Even if I'm lousy at hunting."
