I mean there’s parallels in the original too, such as the Queen being the highest voice in the show while Sarastro is the lowest, but in Ensemble it’s far more explicit how intertwined the two of them are despite them being mortal enemies 東 京 喰 種 { c h a t } @ - Ah, ok. I know I said it before, but I love your attention to detail and how deeply you go with everything. I think it's really cool to have parallels between all the characters like that, not just the main ones.

what's 1000 - 7?
codingIt is, after all, a theme of balance over anything- so every character has some correlation to the others. There’s always differences, but the idea is that despite their great difference in political opinion all cats are actually very similar to the cats they say they despise, and only a few key things make each one like themselves. I also just like the concept of duality- sun and moon, fire and water, bird and snake, lion and tiger, and so on.

codingHonestly, I often see villains as “the hero, but with changes that lead them down a separate path”. It’s why Tamino is so hot-headed and arrogant, especially in the first half- it’s to sync with the Don, who’s basically a more violent and evil version of the same mentality. The villain of the second half also has many parallels with both Tamino and Pamina, even more so than the first half’s villains, but due to spoilers I really can’t get into that....

codingI’ve tried to make everything rather morally ambiguous because of this- no particular group of cats is good or bad, there are just different members in them of both. Again, ties into the whole duality thing. At least the duality thing is spread across all of Mozart operas so it makes my job simpler

It's like an antihero, but 10 times the ambiguity Mozart did the hard part, now you just have to make it harder XD

codinghonestly when you think about it most Mozart characters are morally ambiguous, so it really does make my job easier. Opera is a rather ambiguous genre as a whole.

It's... a very long story. TLDR; I either trust too little or too much, no in between.

I mean, if the characters have trust issues and I have trust issues... Right. I don't know if you're leaving school soon or whatever, but when I was dealing with lots of crap I couldn't wait to leave. It's been a couple years since then, so I'm a lot better now. It's like, once you leave school and head into the adult world, things back then seem trivial and silly. You know, there was this one girl, lets call her Cheerleader, who I absolutely despised. And she's the only peer I ever hated in my entire life, I'm not kidding. But she went through a lot of stuff, and I never had to see her. Now I do see her every single day in my class, and we actually talk and get along. I don't hate her anymore, but it's a little crazy for me since I never expected to get to know her.

Most of the kids I strongly dislike are more just plain stupid than anything else. The “if you look closely you can see the wires in their brain fried” kind of stupid, where you’re pretty sure they don’t even know that fire is dangerous for example. I just generally try to avoid them though, I can get along with most people for the most part. I just don’t trust enough people to actually talk about Personal Things, so roughly 3/4 of the time I can’t talk to anyone because I don’t even have people’s numbers. I am kind of a cryptid because when I do trust people it always backfires

Though in my case, I had way too much exposure to them for my liking because my best friend was too nice to say no XD
Well, I can't force you to trust if you don't want to, I don't take it personally. I was just wondering if you wanted to share. I'm just that kind of person. You're not the one, I tend to not share a lot of crap because it makes me uncomfortable. Plus, I feel like I overshare and that doing so annoys people.

Hello! Pardon my intrusion, but I really liked Prohpet's username so I decided to pop in! I'm Moonfoot, but you're free to call me Moonie or anything else you'd like! I was a semi-active member on the old forums, but I'm kinda lost on the new ones due to all the name changes www So I hope you don't mind if I stick around for a bit! Again, it's wonderful to meet you!

There’s a kid in my grade who I swear is an escapee from the first grade. She even sounds like one (it’s like a nasally version of the yellow telletubby). Honestly I’m kind of used to oversharing by this point. It’s why I talk so much about Ensemble here, because it usually just annoys people when I bring it up irl

I always hated it during school when people refused to act their age. I was especially annoyed by kids who were maybe three years younger than me but acted like middleschoolers, drama included.
I'm still not, it's hard for me to distinguish between oversharing and regular sharing, so I just ask other people to talk about themselves XD Once I know how much they're willing to share, that makes it easier for me to decide hoe much I need to say, lol. I never really noticed that I overshared until I learned how to read people's expressions and body language. Now that I'm older, it's not a big deal to me how someone reacts, but it used to devastate me. It's like I remember taking everything so serious, but now it's like it was all child's play, if that makes sense. It's weird.

prophet I think the most annoying thing about this kid is that she also sings despite sounding like a nasally teletubby and she blows kisses at everyone??? what??? i kind of wonder what’s going on with her tbh i haven’t been really that able to talk to most people without annoying them with my ideas since like the 6th grade? my mental health has improved exponentially since i joined this site because it lets me actually talk about things i want to talk about. it’s weird tho because everyone else seems to think this site isn’t helping their mental health where for me it’s the opposite situation

Yeah, it's definitely so awkward irl. Probably why I literally have two friends. I just don't like having to talk about myself, it's very painful for me lol. Yeah, whenever I'm in good spirits I'm actually more active online, whether it's here or social media. It's like, any social contact at all is exhausting for me when I'm not doing so good. It's awesome that you can come here and talk about the things you love! People are more open and accepting here I think, because we all kind of started out as the bookworm-y kids. At least, us older ones did, which make up most of the people here. I like the anonymity and the sort of friendships you build on forums thanks to that.

The internet is nice because you can find people that are into whatever you're into as well, no matter how obscure it is Real life, I find, is harder. Especially because for me I have the wondrous attribute of a voice that sounds like a dying asthmatic donkey in heat, where on the internet I can sound like anything I want and it doesn't have to be annoying. the internet isn't better than real life, but it does have a lot of perks.
