It also kind of helps paint the Don as who he is- a madman on a fast downward spiral, not any kind of hero. I don't know, I like my Leporellos to be the more deadpan one of the pair of them. It's one of those things that just makes more things work imo @ - Accurate. Not a hero at all, unlike what crazy people argue. It'd be kinda funny to have them switch personalities as a joke some time and see the rage, lmao. by broken I mean, they swap identities in the opera anyway, I imagine they wouldn't be half bad at recreating the other. (Although that part still confuses me. apparently in opera all you have to do to disguise as someone else is go in their clothes? and then almost nobody can tell you who you are (unless they're like Figaro or something) how does it work

Yeah, who knows how the rules work. I don't think anybody knows! Given, Figaro was kind of portrayed in a more humorous light

And as you said, the pelts would make this harder (or maybe easier, lol) by broken I mean, I try to have an explanation for things (the Don and Leporello can't recognize cats in masks because they've seen so many cat faces and pelts that they tend to blend together in their heads, for example, as well as them having the same color palette so all they have to do to disguise as another is swap hats and put different fabrics on their backs) but there's other things I can't explain. I don't know how the Countess and Susanna could possibly disguise as one another given they look like polar opposites, and honestly I don't want to either. Good thing that's never covered in Ensemble lmao

by broken When I saw it Susanna and the Countess had completely swapped clothes and everything. Like the whole ordeal. Also the act four stage was kind of dark so as to add some kind of explanation as to how it might have worked? still though it makes no sense I find it funny though because in that one Susanna was color-coded blue and the Countess was red whereas in Ensemble it's the other way around lmao

by broken yeah like EVERYONE was color coded. They took no prisoners with it. Except for Susanna's drunk uncle and Basilo but honestly nobody cares about them. honestly I couldn't see them as Susanna being blue and the Countess being red. Blue I associate with calmness and red with being more fiery, so of course I switched them around so as to match characters better. The Countess is nice and calm and reserved and therefore should be blue. Susanna has no chill (especially in Ensemble) and is therefore self-explanatory.
