Alderpaw pricked his ears as he heard Swanstar call the Clan together. Hastily he rushed over to the group of cats and sat beside the other apprentices.

Unlike the other apprentices, Palepaw didn't fee as bothered by Alderpaw coming over. He was always quieter, and in a way it was the same reason why she was comfortable around Swanstar, she just didn't feel pressured to be social. However, before she could truly appreciate this, Hollowsky came between the two of them. Looking down at his apprentice, the tom asked "You have taken your traveling herbs, right?"
Pinepaw looked to be restless, almost trembling in excitement at the thought of going to the moonstone. "This will be amazing! I wonder who we'll see? What will they tell us?"

Alderpaw listened to Palepaw and Hollowsky's conversation with one ear. He didn't want to be rude but he had nothing better to do.

"You will brave past it, like I did, and my mentor before me" Hollowsky told him. The fear didn't register much for the tuxedo cat, but he did remember his own mentor telling him those exact words.

While Pinepaw was worried, he certainly wasn't showing it, excitement being much more prevalent. For Palepaw, it was harder to tell, as she was currently sitting as still as a stone, waiting for Swanstar to lead them out.

Disappointed by his mentor's quick responses, Alderpaw scooted towards Palepaw and Pinepaw. He didn't speak but smiled at both of the apprentices and hoped they'd notice his presence.

"It is time to go meet with StarClan, Sandyclaw. Watch over the camp for me... She paused, actually, there is a ceremony that is needed to be done before we leave." She turned to the High-Ledge and made her way up, she sat at the top, her tail curled around her paws. "I have come to the decision as to who our second deputy will be... Hollowsky, please step forward." Swiftcloud purred gently at Lunaflower, "Come on, let's head back to camp." Embersong sat next to Sunfall and listened as Swanstar spoke. Lionkit scampered out of the medicine den to listen to his leader speak. |

Hollowsky looked from cat to cat, unsure if he had heard correctly. Second deputy, him? When he was finally certain he did not just imagine it, he came forward, looking to Swanstar with a look of honor and admiration.
