Maplefrost gazed at the five tiny kittens suckling at her belly with loving eyes. She leaned her head over to lap gently at their damp fur, warming up their bodies.

Sandfoot-
He gazed with affection sparkling in his eyes. The five helpless, fuzzy creatures curling up to his mate were his Binti and Inas. He dipped his head to the shaman in thanks for helping to deliver the new monarch and his siblings. He didnt want to sleep no matter how late it was that night. He wouldn't miss this moment for the world. He could see them all grown up with families of their own and the firstborn son being a Raja once Sandfoot passed on from this world and into the next. Sandfoot wanted to chuckle at his thought, these little balls of fluff will be the next leader? Not while they were so fluffy! He purred and bent his head to Maplefrost's ear, "what should we name them?"

Maplefrost lifted her muzzle and concentrated on each of the kittens. "This one," She motioned to a tortoiseshell patterned kitten, "Has a coat that looks like some of the shells I've seem around here. Granted they're usually very rare, but, so is this kit. I think Shellkit would fit her." She meowed.

Sandfoot-
He locked his eyes on her. The beautiful Binti named Shellkit. She had the longest fur of all the kits, and although he loved them all equally, he thought Shellkit was the most beautiful. Sandfoot vowed to hinself that he would be there during the suitor process to find her the right mate. "She's beautiful...like you." He mewed to her. "Have you picked any of the Inas names?" He wanted to pick out OceanClan's heir's name with her after she named the other Ina

"I'm guessing you want to name to next Raja." Maplefrost teased, but turned her gaze to a fluffy, dark brown-and-white multicolor kitten. "This little one's pelt takes quite a bit after mine." She murmored, nuzzling its body with her nose. The tom-kit's fur was as soft as a dove's feather. "And his coat reminds me of a cloud's puffiness..if you could touch them. Maybe he can be called Cloudkit."

Sandfoot gave the name a thought. He was quite puffy, like a cloud. Why not? "I think that suits him perfectly." He put his paw gently on his son's head, and the kitten gave a little squeak of annoyance. However, Sandfoot found it more amusing than anything else. He removed his paw and licked the little kitten instead. His fur was all poofy and frizzy from just drying off. "How about this little one?" He pointed his paw at his other son, "What should he be named?"

The dark-brown Kaiyou flicked her fluffy tail tip, "You haven't named any of our kits." She reminded him. "You can name this Ina." She motioned at the kit Sandfoot had just pointed at.

Sandfoot replied after carefully thinking about what to name his Clans's future Raja, "I will name him Sunkit, as the sun gives light to the world, Sunkit will give light to his Clan." He gazed at his first-born son and noticed that Sunkit, turned away from feeding to look at his father, teacher, and leader. Sandfoot was now all of these things to this kit. Sunkit let out a small mrrow before turning back to his mother for food. "I'll take that as a sign that he looks up to me. Literally and emotionally." Sandfoot has never trained anyone to follow the path of the Raja. This was only a one time oppritunity. If he messed up Sunkit's training somehow, his Cla could be doomed

"That's the perfect name." Maplefrost purred, admiring her firstborn son fondly. "Sunkit will be training under the best guidance I know." She purred proudly, blinking back up at her mate.

I hope so Was all Sandfoot could think about. Maybe he should just pass his son to train with the Shaman and Warrior General? He would gain a lot of leadership skills from both...He shook his head to clear it No! This is my son and I will train him Like my fathers before me!. He looked at all of his kits with pride, that will grow up to be wonderful cats someday. Hopefully.
