((I'm sure as many of you do, I love writing fanfic. But with college, work, and attempting to have a social life, writing other things, it gets hard to write the fanfiction down. I've started many, but never finish. There's many I'd love to start up again and finish but as I said before it's just a lot of time and effort I don't seem to have right now. So here's my solution... Let's write this story together. In the past, I've made fanfics of Warriors where the audience has some say in things. Either it's a poll series where the readers choose what's happening or what characters look like, or simply having readers create characters. I've notice those fanfics of mine usually get farther or better received than my other fanfiction. But this time I'm letting you guys have much more say in this fanfic.))
~How this is going to work~
I want this fanfic to be written by a bunch of different people. Now there'll be different ways in contributing.
For those of us who simply like creating characters. I want this story to have a huge cast. Possible 8-10 main points of view and of course many supporting and minor characters. There will soon be a form that you can fill out for characters. You can make as many characters as you'd like. You'll get the credit for the characters you created. Just note if you just post a list of names for potential characters and you don't put down personality or description for them and don't say you'll finish them later, than someone else can create the personality and description for those characters. In that case both of you will get the credit for creating them.
As stated before, I'm thinking there'll will be 8-10 main points of view. Since this is for those of us who love to write, but don't have too much time to do so. If you want to be a writer, you'll have a choice of which main characters you want to write for. (At the moment none exists, but that will hopefully change soon) You can have a choice of 1-3 main characters you are writing for. Since there are going to be many main characters not all will have POV for each chapter. We'll break it up so it fits with the plot, so that each character is heard from, and so that you don't have a huge plate on your hands. Unless you want more work, than you can ask for more characters to write for.
Also note, read what has been written before you so you know what's going on at the current moment. Also continue to check here, even after we have things establish. Another idea might be brought up or a new characters have been created so please kept that in mind.
When we get to the point of writing down the chapters, I'll create a separate thread that has the link back to here so we don't lose your writing on this discussion page. We'll discuss and figure out how that's going to work.
- Sharing ideas/Designing the plot
This is for those of us who love the world building experience in storytelling. You can stay on this page and discuss with people on how the plot should go. You can suggest the twists and how the story can get to point A to point B. You can also suggest subplots and prophecies, either for the main story or for a group of characters. Please make sure you run by these ideas with the writers so that they know what's going on and agree. Not every idea will work, but that's why you all discuss it and figure out what works best for the plot. You will get credit for your ideas.
If you don't want to write and such, but love to create graphic arts. Please we'll very much appreciate any art you created for this. You'll get the credit for your artwork.
You can be in more than one group of people in creating this story, you don't have to, but if you want to you may do so. If you want to help in anyway, just comment and say what it is you'd like to do or if your just voicing your opinion, please do so as well. If you have any questions, please let me know.
~The Topic at Hand~
Right now, to get this story started we need a basic plot to work off. I have a few ideas for this, but if you have an idea please say so. Or if you want to tweak one of the ideas, again please say so.
What we have so far...
Seasons ago, there were four clans peacefully living in the woods. For generations there where only a few twolegs dens near by but nothing more. Till more started to come up, only a few. But it made it enough. Most of time the clans were at peace with the twolegs, but every leaf-fall they come with their pebble-spitters sounding like thunder through out the woods as they hunt for elk. Finally enough was enough and the clans moved further into the forest, where twolegs don't venture. Safe from twolegs, but not safe from wild. One day one of the clans mysterious vanished without any of the other clans knowing why. One day, cats arrive, claiming that they from this missing clan, but something's not right about them. Either they're not who they say they are, or something darker is going on.
The genre is action and adventure with mixed of tragedy.

Swiftwillow~ A dark tabby she-cat with a black chest, paws, and tail tip. She has light green eyes and legs that are built for running, though they have plently of muscle. She has a lot of stamina and can run for a long while without getting tired and takes long strides so she can travel longer distances without her legs aching.
She is a witty and kind she-cat. Always making sure all her Clan is alright and leaping straight into danger if it meant saving some-cat other then herself. If she is in a bad mood; she can get stubborn, argumentative, and rude.

Tumbletail~ A muscular, dark brown tabby she-cat with long, bouncy fur and hazel eyes.
She's a tad bit rude and mean. It's not that she intentionally makes cats frown, it's just that she has a hard time being warm. She's very graceful and independent. She's also very direct when she speaks and hardworking.

Well, why don't we figure out a genre first? What do we all want to write? Action, adventure, drama, romance, fantasy, mystery, horror, tragedy...
I have the most experience with fantasy & tragedy. Though I have had readers tell me I'm great at setting up intense action sequences. It's a 50/50 usually. x'D

Character Forrm
Name - Swiftwillow
Gender - She-cat

I know that Shadow and I were discussing a little on what genre. The plot points on the first page are suggestions, but if you want to do that one we can totally do it. =) If we do that one, it'll fit with the genre of action and fantasy. Oh and I'll add the character you created on the character list. =) |

Yeah, I like it because it sounds like they might try to go and find the lost Clan, while meeting dangers and path-stoppers on the way! (Maybe also confronting the other "Clan cats" as well? They can take them on a journey to their home or something along the lines of that.)

I have an idea (we don't have to do this idea) what if the leader of the lost clan made a deal with the Dark Forest cats, and then either broke their deal or something and the whole clan vanished. |

What if, instead of the Dark Forest, it's some different magical force. The Dark Forest doesn't hold that much power, nor does StarClan. It would have to be something bigger and greater.
And what if, instead of the leader, the medicine cat. They were ill and worried that they'll die without having an apprentice.

Family/Mate: Nope Other(optional): Nope I can see that. I like the idea that it was the medicine cat who makes the deal or something like that. =) What would it be though if not the Dark Forest? Maybe the where the characters from the canon series seem to get their powers? (It's been awhile since I have read both the third and fourth series so I can't quite remember all the details. XD) Or possibly from the "first ancestors" like from LionClan and TigerClan? Or we can go with something like their was a rip between their dimension or realm to another dimension or realm that has magic of sorts? Oh and I'll add Tumbletail =) |

Good question, as far as countries go. I'm more familiar with North American wilderness. Although we can do something completely different like South America, Africa, or on an island like Philippines. We'd just have to do research of that area's wildlife and terrain. Or we just make our own land and completely fictionalize it. |
