Later on Sash woke up from her nap and met Jake behind the dorms. They quickly review the plan before heading out. Stash shifted into a small burrowing owl and set off watching the monsters walking around making sure everyone was asleep with "coo" from Sash jake started at a slow jog towards the dark woods. They neared the edge as Sash landed softly on a branch at the edge and watches Jake come slowly close check in behind he back every so often to make sure no one saw him.
So do we still need Jake to get captured?))

((Do you by any chance have any elemental or shapeshifters still open? I can’t tell if the no numbers next to it means that it’s not open anymore.

(The numbers symbolize how many are already in the RP; for example, there's only one demon so there's 1 out of 5 available demon claims. The elemental and shapeshifters are unlimited but they have to have an equal weakness to their powers or forms. If you create a shapeshifter that has 3 different forms then maybe they don't last that long or can stuck -- anything, really. It's a little complicated but it's so there aren't any OP characters.)

Ylva was packed and ready for any danger that could befallen during the quest. Her faithful companion, Ove, sat beside the girl and waited patiently but his paws shifted over the mix of ash and dirt -- he was excited to leave the safety of camp for once. The wolf's tongue lolled when the fiery-haired demigod scratched behind his ear, her eyes cast over her shoulder as she looked to the ruins that was once the training arena. She sighed, her disappointment evident, "hopefully they choose someone that's at least decent at teaching these kids how to defend themselves." The girl snapped out of her bitter thoughts when she saw a small girl with greenish hair struggling towards the meeting point. Ylva groaned as she knew this was Kaze's doing but she strode forward to help the tiny nymph with her bag. An interesting addition to her bag was the plant secured in the bungee chords that criss-crossed the back of the bag. "Is it really necessary to bring that along?" She inquired, her tone containing an underlying note of irritation.
Thaelia noticed the lingering look the other girl had given the plant and she smiled sheepishly, her cheeks coloring immediately in response. "U-um, well, you see..." The nymph stammered before taking a deep breath then continued, "I have to keep my life source close or I'd be powerless and weak as we got further from camp." Her voice was clearer but her cheeks were still colored from her embarrassment of needing to tote a potted plant with her on the quest. It wasn't practical but was necessary for her to be of any use to the rest of the group - though I still don't see how I'm going to be useful at all... Kaze and Ylva were clear choices with their abilities and fighting experience but she was a lowly nymph that would be completely disposable during the day. As she thought, she gave way to a large yawn as she wasn't used to being out so early as she was a night-oriented nymph. At the moment, she was simply relieved that the demigod before her was satisfied by her response but waiting in silence was becoming awkward; she hoped someone else would join them soon enough to break the tension between them.

Kaze had followed alongside the nymph, his hands buried in the front pockets of his dark pants. His jaw tightened as he refrained from yawning in response to Thaelia's. He was a night counselor after all and with all the chaotic events that had transpired, he was way off for his sleeping schedule. At this point, he just wanted this mission to go smoothly so he could get some rest. But for now all he could do was let out a sigh once the tension in his jaw wore out. "Thaelia's skills are helpful with this party. Since you and I have combat training and abilities, she'll be able to provide support without being the line of fire." Kaze shifted his amber gaze from the small girl to the demigod. "Did you think of anyone else to join us?" Before Ylva was able to respond, a newcomer approached from the side, groaning as he looked to the group
"That would be me." Said the voice which, when heads turned to looks at him, revealed to be Johnathan. He didn't bother to lift even a hand in greeting, simply shrugging his shoulder which shifted the black worn-out backpack resting there. He stopped moving towards them when he was in close enough proximity to be considered part of the group but remained the member standing farthest from the center, keeping his distance at all times. His line of sight traveled round the group and his tongue produced a light "tch" sound while a grimace crossed his thin lips. If he hadn't been slouching, he could easily tower over them, but at his current state, Kaze was the tallest among them. "This is the team that's going to stop the guy that made that explosion?" As usual, he held no form of respect for anyone standing here and clearly, he had no confidence in them either. However, it could work in his favor if they did encounter whoever attacked the camp. After all, if he could side with the villain, it shouldn't be too hard to beat down the young fire dragon, hot-headed demigod, and the helpless nymph between him and the guy strong enough to put the whole camp on lockdown.

Ylva huffed at Kaze's response and bit back a snide remark: I was asking her and not you, you entitled... Her thoughts trailed off as Johnathan joined them. She noticed the distance he kept and was rather pleased that he wasn't showing any signs of coming closer. She looked to Kaze with triumph gleaming in her dark eyes as she gestured to the poison-wielder. "As you can see, I found us a strong final member for this." Her eyes flicked over the cowering nymph with distaste but she shrugged her nasty thoughts away -- weakness wasn't something she was willing to endure. The demi-god fished for a thin silver whistle that hung around her neck on a worn leather chord and she brought it to her lips but no sound was produced. She waited momentarily before a large wolf came bounding from the trees and halted at her side, nuzzling Ylva's shoulder affectionately; it was a surprise that the large beast didn't knock the girl over. "Well, if we're all ready to get on our way," and without waiting for a response, the stubborn girl was trekking to the trees, towards the origin of the explosion.
Thaelia just bowed her head shyly. She wasn't used to being so strongly disliked before any true interactions could take place. She remained silent as Kaze and Ylva butted heads about her accompanying the group and had spotted Johnathan approaching before they did. She instinctively shrunk away as some species of fern recoils from touch: there's something dark about this one and I don't like it one bit. The nymph openly watched him warily as Ylva bragged about her better find in a quest-mate. The spitting contest was becoming old for her but she perked up when she saw the wolf bounding straight for them. Her heart swelled at the sight of the magnificent creature and how docile it was being towards the demi-god. Between Kaze and this wolf, I think I'll be able to survive this.

Kaze groaned internally at the demi-god's proud statement of a final member. Sure, he was the day director's son and he had to admit, his unique ability was something to behold, but his personality was rough to say the least. Even his sister hesitated when around the dark boy, sensing something she told her instinct not to mess with. Back to the matter at hand, he opted to send a glare of warning to Ylva to remind her of the reason he had chosen to bring the nymph along. He nearly wanted to point out Jonathan's flaws just to get under her skin about inviting him, but he held it back for now. Naturally as a night counselor, he had seen the poison wielder's power up close and knew several of his limitations when using it. Responding sharply was something to come from Kira, not from here, so he stayed quiet. Kaze silently acknowledged the large wolf's presence with a small nod and slowly set off behind her with a glance to the two behind him.
Ylva's comment on his strength brought a sly smirk to his thin lips. Finally, at least someone can see my power. Not sure she's my first choice, but maybe when the time come, I'll spare her the agony. He thought grimly to himself with a quiet chuckle. His gaze flickered to the plant-holding Thaelia's he scanned her before looking back to the other members of the group, clearly not impressed by her. Jonathan was a bit unnerved by the arrival of the large wolf that acted friendly to the spitfire. He cursed himself for forgetting of the animal guardian but let it go for now, it was just another stepping stone for him. With a shrug of his shoulders, he turned from the only other member of the party that hadn't started walking away and left her to follow the ones ahead

Ove the wolf trotted ahead every now and then but always returned to Ylva as though the beast was scouting then reporting back to the group. Upon each return the demi-god would pat the wolf's head like a normal person would to golden retriever during a game of fetch. The girl glanced behind her every now and then; not because she was worried about the others but from the lack of trust she had towards them. The scent of smoldering wood became stronger with each step and began assaulting their noses -- Ove sneezed. Ash scattered at their feet as they pushed towards the blast site; the grey remnants of the wildlife flitted through the air, dancing on a light breeze. Ylva stopped and turned to the others as scouring scorch marks marred the earth and whole, snapped trees came into view. "Johnathan, up here with me. There may be more explosives or traps planted." Her dark eyes shifted to the dragon, "keep an eye on Thaelia. So, ya know, stay here." She gave Kazea mocking smile before trudging ahead with Ove on her heels.
The little nymph scampered after the group and slowed when she fell into step behind Kaze. She glanced at the poison-wielder from the corner of her eye every now and then, her head lowered: I don't trust him one bit... She wasn't the biggest fan of Ylva but, if a wolf trusts her, then she can't be as terrible as she seems. Thaelia then peeked at Kaze from beneath her long lashes and her petal-pink cheeks burned a brighter shade of rose. The impish girl shook her head to clear it and nearly ran straight into Kaze's back when they came to a stop. She craned her neck to look around his broad, strong figure -- don't think like that, she scolded herself -- and her eyes widened at the sight of the destruction. Her lower lip quivered and she inhaled deeply to fight off the panic rising within her, swallowing the urge to cry. The need to ball like a baby only increased when Ylva assigned Kaze as her babysitter; it hurt to be disregarded and labeled as a burden. Her tiny hands clenched on the shoulder straps of her bag before she deftly slipped out of them and dashed to the side before Kaze could turn. Her large eyes scanned the perimeter of ground zero for any evidence the culprit left behind to find where they went or who they are.

Jonathan, all while maintaining a lazy expression, followed a safe distance away and took in the the sights. There was as much damage here as he thought there would be. However, even the closer they got to the center, there had yet to be any signs of any support in the blast. No traces of dynamite, napalm or anything of the sort. Whole trees had been felled without any debris other than those found in the forest. Either it was a a series of small bombs with a much larger blast radius than possible, or they were dealing with someone with an extremely powerful ability. His attention was drawn from his thoughts at Ylva's call. A smirk similarly matched her mocking smile as she had chosen him over the dragon. Sure, she did it out of spite, but it was the best for gain regardless. The smaller the group, the easier it would be to eliminate a threat and slink into the shadows. For now, he kept his eyes sharp. He was someone who's strength came from traps so he knew what to look for.
The longer he was with her, the more frustrated he gained. Why does she even hate me? I'm only doing my job. He internally groaned with a shake of his head. The nymph behind him kept him moving forward as to at least offer her some sense of protection. With two strong members of the camp and one who seemed to be the wild card, Kaze understood her worry. Being tasked with looking over the girl, the blond gave a nod. "Report back before taking action, don't engage on your own." His statement was firm and left no room for argument on the matter. They didn't know just what they would face out here and he wouldn't risk their lives because she wanted to play the hero. He waited until the two were out of earshot before he drew out a deep breath and he pinched the bridge of his nose, his patience wearing thin with the demigod. Thelia's movement caught his attention and he looked to observe her as she scowered the area for clues.

Ove's nose went to the ground immediately to search for any trace of a scent from the culprit. If any scraps could be found then it would soon be over for the demolition man. Ylva crouched at what she assumed was the center of the blast but there were no fragments of explosives or rig. She swiped her finger in the scorched dirt and gave it a light sniff before turning her attention to Jonathan, "I can't detect any residue of a substance. I think we're dealing with something like us." She straightened and dusted off her hands before placing them on her hips, her brow furrowed, "but why would someone want to hurt others like them?" She murmured to herself. None of it was making sense to her; if they were an elementalist of sorts, they could infiltrate the camp- "unless they're expelled or a known threat!" She exclaimed out loud then turned to Jonathan, "do you think they keep files of the campers that have been expelled or left?" Her eyes were alight with her flowing ideas.
The nymph continued to pick around the perimeter of the blast where the trees were still intact. Her thought was that whatever, whoever created the blast needed a way to flee the scene and quickly in case any of the fliers from camp were to investigate immediately. Assuming the culprit wasn't a flier themselves, they may have left something behind in their rush to leave. Her delicate fingers touched each tree, searching their memories of the blast but all she received was a wash of fear from each and every one that was lucky enough to still be standing. Thaelia pushed through the emotions and wails for help that the plants seeked from her. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry but I can't help yet, she thought and kept moving through until a sturdy oak showed her something different: a blur of a person whipping through the trees and stopping to lean on this once for support, gasping through the smoke, before blundering on. She perked up immediately and ran to Kaze, "I- I think I found the path that the culprit took," she glanced to Ylva and Jonathan for any indication that they had any new information but they were still searching. The nymph looks back to the dragon and she swallowed hard, "I was looking through the imprints the trees received from the event and one of them showed a person - a figure - leaning against it briefly after the blast."

The lanky man had done much of the same as the demigod, brushing his fingers against the ash and rubbing them together. He had seen fire elementalists that could harness their power to create explosions, but whoever this was specialized in it. "I gathered as much." Jonathan replied, his hands returning to his front pockets. The gears in her head were turning, piecing together an idea on how to find the identity of the culprit. She wasn't the only one trying to figure it out. He continued to glance around, taking in as much information as he could while processing through what kind of ability was capable of this destructive force in this way. He was pulled by his thoughts when Ylva spoke once more, apparently with an idea. Could the culprit really be an expelled camper? With a shrug of his shoulders, his gaze returned to the girl before him. "The old man keeps files for all the campers that have attended since he's been here." It had often annoyed him why he even bothered keeping records from back that far.
Kaze had been attending this camp for some time, but there were still things he had to learn about. Nymphs were one of those things. Their connection with nature was something he couldn't comprehend, much like anyone else. Perhaps it was another reason his gut told him to bring Thaelia along, to see and better understand how her skills could be applied in a situation. As he watched her move along the trees, her delicate hands brushing against each of them, he was caught off guard when she suddenly stopped, focused on particular oak longer than the others. He kneeled down as she came running, knowing what she had to say would be important. His eyes grew wide at her statement. "What? How?" His question was quickly answered by her explanation. He processed this response and sighed, slowly shaking his head though a faint smile bloomed on his lips. I'll never understand it, but you nymphs always surprise me." Standing up and sending a glance to the other half of the party, he turned back to the girl. "Do you think you could track their path through the forest?"

"Perfect. But will he allow us to look through them?" Files on campers were surely confidential and reserved for the eyes of directors only. Ylva certainly wasn't above breaking in to get the necessary files, and she doubted Jonathan had any reservations: but the two goody-two-shoes might, she thought bitterly. She continued to scan their surroundings through narrowed eyes; something still didn't feel right about all of this, but the files were their best lead. She starred hard at Jonathan, hoping that he would understand to keep this particular topic hushed as Kaze and Thalia approached- "where did they go?" She blurted and her head spun wildly to the dense tree line that surrounded the blast zone. "Ove," she snapped, and the wolf came to attention immediately, "track them and stick with the scaly creep and nature girl." With that, the wolf bounded into the woods to find and follow their scents.
Thaelia could tell that Kaze was wary of leaving the other two without warning, but that was the least of her worries since she was under the impression that the area was abandoned by their attacker. She nodded enthusiastically, her eyes alight with confidence in her ability, "yes, as long as they continued touching the trees." Her tone was firm in her belief that this was something she could do; she was elated to prove her worth, and it was even more exciting that Kaze, a strong and powerful dragon, was going to be the one to witness her undeniable competence. Her feet were light over the ground as she gave one last glance to Ylva, Jonathan, and Ove before diving into the forest. Her fingers feathered over trees and bushes alike, receiving murmurs and images of a weakened individual touching them before moving ahead. Thaelia only paused when she noticed an odd direction in the path, "they went back to watch..." fear ran through the nymphs body so violently that she shuddered, "they watched our reactions and... liked it." She blinked up at Kaze, the horror of that fact still welling in her eyes. When she spoke again, her tone was deadpan and absolutely certain: "they're a hateful being." She snapped out of her dark revelation as a furry mass burst through the trees, and Ove stood before the two of them with leaves stuck in his fur and his tongue lolling from his open jaw with the unawareness of a puppy.

[ Do you mind if I made a character who isn't quite a demigod? More of an 'avatar' in that they seemed him worthy of their powers?
Also, have the explosions been caused by hunters/humans? I was thinking of lumping him in with them for the time being? ^^" ]
