"You probably haven't seen anywhere past camp yet. So you'll find out." Ashflight purred, leading Nightpaw out of camp and down a slope. "Don't forget to keep up!" He called over his shoulder.

Nightkit hustled after his mentor, trying to keep his excitement from being evident in every hair of his pelt. He was unsuccessful.

Ashflight stopped dead, and looked onwards at a bunch of large, flat rocks. Ahead of it, a river, full over life flowed past, splashing against the sides of the large rocks. Before Nightpaw could pass, Ashflight spread out his paw to stop his apprentice.
"That ahead, is the sunningrocks. I would not go further if i were you, Riverclan currently owns this place. But we will get them back, someday."

"But it's supposed to be ours! And they looks so nice and warm!" Nightpaw complained, his tail twitching with annoyance. "When is Lightningstar going to take it back?"

"Don't fret" Ashflight rested his tail on the young apprentices shoulder. "We'll get them back soon." He prodded Nightpaw, turning around. He added, "There's still much to show you. But the next thing i show you, you will have to be extremely cautious." Ashflight warned.

"Is it the Thunderpath? But isn't there a lot of other stuff in between the Thunderpath and Sunningrocks?" Nightkit looked confused for a moment, before speculating wildly once more. "Oh! Is it the gorge?"

Ashflight responded with a flick of his tail, "No," He responded and lead deeper Nightpaw back into the heart of e forest until they reached another place wiht large, rounded rocks. The crevices between these rocks had weeds growing form them and the clambering of small rocks almost echoed. He stood a distance away, not wanting to risk Nightpaws life just to view it.
"This is snakerocks," Ashflight pointed towards the huddle of rocks. "Do you know why it is called that?"

"I'm going to guess something to do with snakes. Snakes are cool! Are there any here right now? Are they poisonous?" Nightpaw inquired, resisting the urge to sniff at the crack in front of him.

"I know, I just didn't know if there were other snakes. Not all snakes are poisonous, there are things like garter snakes, too." Nightpaw sounded taken aback at the fierce response to what he viewed as a reasonable question.

"Be careful," Ashflight dropped into a hunting crouch and then slithered closer to the mouse. Scenting the air and the wind direction, he waited until the mouse was facing backwards before he leaped fast in the air and landed on the mouse, trapping it between its paws and giving it the killing swipe.

"Hmm... yes." Nightpaw trotted off, following the scent. Upon seeing the mouse, he charged for it, scaring the small, gray creature into its nearby hole. "Oops. Well, I can't..." He stretched his jaws into a yawn, before snapping them shut to finish what he was saying. "...smell any others."
