Slatesight hurried in behind the others. He didn't have any injuries, but he knew Eclipsepaw and the others would need to get checked out. He nodded to Peachdapple and Aspenfall. They would be able to help without him. Maybe I should look for herbs after the report...Nighteye looked concerned over what had happened, glad that his brother wasn't hurt. Aspenfall stood to gather the herbs the two medicine cats had left. He frowned as he realized that they may not be able to handle significant injuries, if there were any. Peachdapple called back to Aspenfall. "Get as much of the Marigold as you can, if we have enough. We'll have to scrounge up some Oak leaves too if we don't have enough cobwebs." She turned to look pointedly at the patrol, waving her tail to signal to them as her voice grew stern. "Alright now. I want all of you over here and standing still so we can check you over. None of this honor mess, we don't have the herbs to deal with infections because of some bruised pride...I promise it'll be quick." Her voice grew softer at the end, concern in her aging eyes. |

Ghostscreech gave a light frown as Frostmoon looked away from him, “Have Peachdapple or Aspenfall look at you first.” He insisted, feeling worried for her, “Lightningstar can wait a little longer.”
Eclipsepaw nodded as she tried to get the blood out of her eye, “Yeah.” She mewed, still feeling embarrassed that her new clanmates were seeing her like this, “I think it was Fluffpaw and Crookedpaw. I remember seeing them at the gathering.” She added.

Frostmoon wanted to snap at him that she didn't deserve to be treated with kindness right now, but all she could think about was how surely Ghostscreech must have wanted to see anybody but her right now. So she closed her jaws and turned sharply, retreating towards Peachdapple and Aspenfall without giving him a word. Maybe it would be easier this way. He deserved better than an impulsive young Warrior who thought she was stronger than Starclan when she clearly wasn't.
Hornetstrike rushed from the Warrior's den, skidding to a halt beside Ghostscreech as he watched his daughter go towards the Medicine cats. The tom's eyes were round with worry. "What happened?"
"Ugh. Those furballs. Fluffpaw's an older Riverclan apprentice. A deputy's kit too. Spoiled rotten fishface." Scarletpaw scoffed bitterly. Dawnpaw was far kinder than his sister, shaking his head softly. "So it was two against one then? Then you shouldn't feel bad. You had an unfair fight. I'm just glad that you're alright. But you have to go see the medicine cats, got it?" He ushered, inheriting his mother's gentleness when it came to the injured.

Ghostscreech watched Frostmoon leave with a confused look on his face before shaking his head. Maybe she was just down because of the loss against RiverClan. He turned to Hornetstrike as he approached, “RiverClan stole Sunningrocks while Frostmoon was leading a patrol.” He mewed, glancing back at the Medicine den, “I have to go find Lightningstar.” He added, moving towards the leaders den.
Eclipsepaw sighed as she swiped at her eye again, growing irritated with the injury, “Yeah, I guess.” She grumbled, standing and approaching the medicine cats. She should’ve been able to handle it, if only her mother could see her now. Lybex would probably tell her everything she did wrong in the fight, and that it was her own fault Eclipsepaw had been wounded in the first place.

"Battles are harder for you, but I'm glad that you seem to be the least injured. I'll get to you after Redtooth and Sootclaw. Aspenfall, can you tend to Frostmoon and Eclipsepaw? Mix some Celadine into Eclipsepaw's polituces in case those wounds bother her eyes." |

He slowly padded towards the Medicine den, wincing as he saw Slatesight too. He hated to see his daughter and best friend injured. "I say we send an entire patrol to give Riverclan a taste of their own medicine. Force Sunningrocks back!" Scarletpaw spat, more than happy to volunteer to go to flay some whiskers. Dawnpaw simply sighed at his sister's aggression, shaking his head. "Or, we could keep our heads and actually form a plan like mature Warriors. Must everything be a fight with you?" |

Eclipsepaw only listened to her denmates chatter as she waited for one of the medicine cats to treat her wounds. She was exhausted after the battle and just wanted to curl up in her nest and ignore everything else.

Aspenfall turned his attention to Frostmoon and Eclipsepaw. They seemed to be the most injured, so he would need to make sure they received enough herbs for their wounds. It would have been strange for the tom to heal his father, but maybe that was why Peachdapple offered to treat him. "Regardless of how the battle went, I'm glad you two aren't any more injured." he offered, beginning to prepare a poultice for Frostmoon's scratches. "We aren't in any shape to fight right now, to be perfectly honest."
Slatesight merely nodded, feeling a deep sigh escape him as he sat down outside the den he used to call home. He should be in there helping, not standing around being useless.

Frostmoon grit her teeth lightly, knowing that Aspenfall was right, but not wanting to admit it openly. She let him look over her wounds silently, not able to come up with any excuse. She looked over at Eclipsepaw and felt a wave of guilt seeing the wounds on her face and muzzle.

Eclipsepaw stayed quiet as Aspenfall looked Frostmoon over. Giving a sigh, she tried to clear her eye again, hoping the wounds would heal okay. She really didn’t want them to get infected, and she didn’t want to see Fluffpaw’s smug face at the next gathering because of the scars she left.

Aspenfall finished applying the poultice to Frostmoon's wounds, giving a nod of approval. Her wounds weren't too serious for the fight she seemed to have engaged in. "Make sure to let your wounds heal before you try hunting or training again." he instructed. "You shouldn't have to wait too long."
He turned to Eclipsepaw and inspected the injury near her eye. "I'll need to use some of the marigold for this," he said, half to himself. He didn't think the warrior and apprentice would know what it did or why it was important. He started to chew the small amount he left for himself.

She hated knowing that the apprentice had to fight two on one, and that she wasn't better as a tactician to think about giving the apprentice more backup if she could. She had lunged at Koishade instead of truly strategizing, and now Eclipsepaw was paying for it. Aspenfall had to waste herbs now because of her. She thanked the Medicine Cat apprentice quietly, before turning sharply and waiting for Lightningstar with shaking paws. |

Eclipsepaw tried to hold still as Aspenfall added the poultice to her wounds, flinching slightly at the sting of the herbs. “Will it affect my eyesight in any way?” She asked, a bit worried about losing sight in her left eye.

"If it doesn't get infected, you should be fine." Aspenfall replied quickly, applying the poultice gently to ensure none of it actually got in the apprentice's eye. "But that means you need to be careful. I would probably take some time off from your training." he suggested, sitting down.

Ghostscreech was headed for Lightningstar’s den, wanting to let him know what had happened at Sunningrocks.

Heyo) Redtooth sat off to the side. He had a couple long start he’s down his side and muzzle but he wasn’t too bad off. He tried to groom some of the blood from his fur. "Careful when you lick near your wounds." Peachdapple warned lightly as she padded up to inspect Redtooth next. She hummed as she inspected his side and sighed lightly. "Thankfully not too deep. But deep enough to need some Marigold. Hold still, this might sting a little bit." She admitted, moving to chew up a polituce. There was a dangerously low amount of the herb, but she divided it carefully. |

Aspenfall glanced over the apprentice once more before flicking his tail. "You're all set. Peachdapple and I will report the injuries to Lightningstar, so don't worry about getting in trouble." he reassured. Once that was done, he left the medicine cat den to look for his mentor. He needed to talk to her about finding more marigold if she was done.

Lightningstar had heard the commotion in camp from his den. He moved to step from it, a bit slower than usual. It was clear he was getting up there in age. His muzzle was starting to gray and his body didn’t quite move as fast as it once did. The sharp smell of blood hit him and his eyes widening in surprise at the patrol over by the medicine cat den.

Ghostscreech was already heading towards Lightningstar’s den when he pushed out of it. “Lightningstar. RiverClan moved the border line on Sunningrocks again. Frostmoon and her patrol just came back from a skirmish with them.” He mewed, stopping in front of him.
Eclipsepaw nodded again and stood up to go back to the apprentice den. She wanted to wait and see if Lightningstar would address the clan about what happened

Aspenfall and I will find a temporary solution if we need to. There are other herbs we can use to cover for it. Keep our stores low by not disturbing your wounds as they heal, alright? You’re all good now. Take a rest.” She mewed, touched by the tom’s consideration. |

Peachdapple took in a breath, not one to lie or beat around the bush. “Low. Lower than it’s been since the Snowstorm that took Heatherpaw from me…” She blinked slowly before she lifted her head and mewed. “Lightningstar, I need to ask you. At the last gathering, Lavandersky and Spiderpaw were discussing how certain herbs were growing in Skyclan. Herbs that we need. We do have certain herbs that are growing…but they are not ones we need. Skyclan does not grow those herbs as well as we do though. I need to ask if you would approve of a mutual trade of herbs between Thunderclan and Skyclan.” She requested. “I have wanted to ask you this for a while now.” She admitted. |

Ghostscreech listened quietly as Lightningstar and Peachdapple spoke. The shortage on herbs was even more worrying than the shortage on prey. And now that RiverClan has taken Sunningrocks, they had less territory to find prey.
