Introduction
BloomClan: The cats slipped through the underbrush, leaves brushing against their fur. The sky was ink above them, the GreenLeaf night ripe with smells of growth and rot. A sound, like water rushing and kits mewling and thunder miles away. The burly she-cat at the front of the troupe raised her tail in caution and flattened her ears. Ahead, a bluish light permeated the thistle and clover. The form of a cat stood with pricked ears and a raised paw. He was transparent, floating, stardust fluttering off his fur. He was not of this world, was only an imprint left on this wood. “I see,” said the she-cat. “BoneClan must send it’s dead to peer into its enemy’s heart. Run back and tell your Mystics that they are cowards.” The dead cat swirled it’s tail, passing it through the ferns. He opened his mouth like he might like to say something, before dipping his chin and stalking away. As he ran, his paws seemed to climb the air. A faint trail of pale light burned where he had been. The she-cat turned back to her warriors, eyes blossoming into flames. “You know what this means,” she growled. “BoneClan has shucked its pretense and begged war from us. If it’s war they want, it’s war they’ll get.”
BoneClan: The glowing dust of a Ghost shined through the shadowed trees. The Mystic turned their head towards the camp entrance, and watched as the Ghost passed through the apprentices sitting in the clearing, dancing gracefully through the camp, their steps lighting the area in a eerie shadowless glow. “Blazefoot, what have you found?” The Mystic asked, the night breeze rustling their white fur. “They saw me, and they want war.” The Mystic, stunned, did not speak as the silvery dust of the Ghost was blown into the sky. They stood and padded their way to the ivy-covered entrance of the leaders den. “The Ghost was spotted,” they said, ”They have a new mystic. They will not forgive this.” The leader slipped into reality, a blueish glow surrounding him. “We don’t need their forgiveness. Let there be war.”
Information This is a two clan RP between BoneClan and BloomClan (found here), and battles will occasionally be fought with them. BloomClan and BoneClan have always had tension between them, but recently after BoneClan used a Ghost to spy on BloomClan has caused a war to break out between the two. Ghosts are dead clan members that can only be seen and spoken to by Mystics. Not everyone in the clan is a mystic, and clans can go years without one. When Ghosts are present, or visible to Mystics, it requires energy to sustain, and so Ghosts generally spend their time absent, or not visible. During this time, these Ghosts are "asleep" and cannot be spoken with nor can they move. The final thing about Ghosts is that if they spend too long in the physical world without moving on to the afterlife, they will slowly loose their sanity, which has and will end badly. In order to send these Ghosts to the afterlife, a ceremony must be done; but they will no longer be accessible after this point. BloomClan will rush to send their dead to StarClan, while BoneClan keep them in the physical world. Mystics are the only cats that can become medicine cats, as StarClan is inaccessible and once Ghosts are sent there, they will no longer be able to talk to Mystics.

History Once, many moons ago, BloomClan and BoneClan were one-- MoonClan. These cats owned the forest, communicated with Ghosts, and lived in relative peace. But that all changed when their territory was ravaged by a wildfire, making part of it uninhabitable. The fire took the lives of many. Now, only elders remember the fire, but everyone knows its effects. With the large increase in Ghosts around the territory, and one of the two passages into StarClan, the Canopy Tree, nearly inaccessible, the clan broke into two factions. One side believed that they should send all of these new Ghosts, and old ones, into the afterlife, but the other wanted to use them to help the clan survive and, of course, prevent the need for grieving after this massive loss. Small arguments turned quickly into large scale fights, and these two factions could no longer live together. They split the land evenly, leaving the old camp, now known as the Crystal Cove, to BoneClan. There has been tension ever since.
Territory
Map:
BoneCLan and BloomClan are separated by a large river, with smaller streams spreading out into each territory. BoneClan's land is full of tall trees with long branches and thick leaves that block out sunlight. Because of this, there is very little growth on the forest bed and much of the prey lives within the trees.
Fallstone Gathering Ground: Every moon, the Clans gather on neutral ground. Unfortunately, the only neutral ground available is in the town. Known to the twolegs as Petersburgh Square, this flat expanse of shiny stone sits right in the midst of twoleg place. The stone is pinkish as though touched by sun set, and the twoleg buildings loom dark around it. When the moon waxes full, the leaders sit on the wide steps of the Petersburgh Church, looking out over the gathering of their clans. In the middle glows the fountain. Made of alabaster stone, it runs ceaselessly, water pouring from the three platelike tiers.
Training Ground: The training ground is a large clearing surrounded by tall trees, used for combat and tree climbing training. Near is is a small, shallow pond ideal for water training.
Crystal Cove: Large cove of smooth rocks near the edge of the border, ideal for relaxation. Bushes surround the cove; full of old moss and feathers. Herbs are scattered around small crevices. and hallowed out holes within tree roots are proof of the MoonClan camp that used to occupy this space.
Ghost Lands: A large expanse of land in the southeast of BoneClan's territory. This ashen graveyard has the remains of many deceased cats and barely any life. The wildfire tore through this part of the forest, leaving only blackened trees and snakes to inhabit this land.
Venom Rocks: A large pile of rocks in the Ghost Lands where snakes live. It is scarcely traveled by the clan, and snakes are hunted individually.
Canopy Tree: This was one of the largest trees in the forest. It towered over the rest with huge leaves and branches; creating a clearing around it as no light could reach the trees below. It resides, now, in the Ghost Lands, and is only the shell of what it used to be. Elders say, that at night the fireflies around the tree were the spirits of the deceased. Now, it is large, blackened figure, its branches scattered across the clearing below. This was where Mystics send Ghosts to join StarClan, but now it is only used when a Ghost becomes too far gone.
Camp:
BoneClan's camp is a large hole, surrounded by thick bushes and trees. On one side of the camp is a small hill that leads down into it, but the other sides have a sheer stone wall with ivy hanging over it. The leader's den is a small cavern with a slight opening, only big enough for one cat at a time. Inside the damp cave is a smooth rock with moss and other padding on it. The medicine cat's den is a large indent in the cliff wall, that goes deep into the rock. This wall, like all the others, is covered in drooping ivy that hides the den. Inside are many beds of moss, and small cervices that are filled with herbs. When it rains, certain empty crevices fill with water that is used by the medicine cat and their apprentice. The warriors den is a collection of bushes and plants hanging low out of the wall closer to the entrance, inside is filled with bedding. Next to the medicine cat's den is a another opening in the wall, larger than the leader's den. This is the nursery, and is full of moss and other bedding. The apprentice den is located right by the warriors den, and is an indent in the cliff face covered by ivy and filled with moss. In the center is a large tree stump used as the fresh kill pile.
Prey (Note: There is slight shortage of food due to the fire) Squirrels : Common Voles : Common Small birds : Common Mice : Uncommon Rats : Common Hawks : Rare Fish : Uncommon Snakes : Common Frogs : Rare

Cats of the Clan
Leader: Burnstar (dead): lean tom with white paws and tail tip. He has thick brown fur. The top part of his right ear is burned off, leaving only the singed bottom half. He has been a Ghost since the fire is still able to keep sane, and is also present most of the time. He speaks with the Mystics who broadcast his messages for him, and is respected as the strong leader of BoneClan. (Nightfang)
Deputy: (open)
Medicine Cat: (open)
Warriors:
Silverstone (alive, mystic): Young she-cat with hazel eyes and well-groomed white fur. She has a muscular build with large paws ideal for climbing. She has spoken with Ghosts since a young age and is the current Mystic to talk for the leader. (Nightfang)
Blazefoot (dead): Small gray tom with long tail and small black paws. He has large black ears and bright blue eyes. There are dark marks strewn about on his fur which resemble scorch marks after a fire. He died in the Ghost Lands, but was absent for many moons, and became present only recently. (Nightfang)
Shadewing (alive): A small she-cat skilled at climbing trees. Her sable fur and dark eyes give stark contrast to the pale rose of her small nose. The slightest indication of tabby stripes down her back accentuate the hardy muscles there. She's a quiet, dreamy cat: endlessly optimistic. (Hollyspots)
Apprentices:
Sunpaw (alive, mystic): A brawny she-cat with lustrous yellow gold fur, small paws, and a fluffy tail. Her eyes are hazel, and she's the clumsiest cat ever born in the forest. (Hollyspots)

Silverstone was shocked at her leader's response. "Are you sure? This could end us."
Burnstar floated through the den. "Do not question me. Wake the clan and tell them what has happened. Tell them there is war. " With this, he faded out, the light burning out behind him.
Silverstone left the leader's den and padded her way to the tree stump. Dawn was nearly upon them, but she did as her leader instructed. "Everyone! Wake up! The leader has a message for you!" She called, her voice echoing through the camp and off the ivy colored walls.

Sunpaw yawned, the fur on the back of her neck instinctively pricking up. Silverstone seldom yelled, and the implications of it were unnerving. Sunpaw scrambled out of the den, blinking and hurriedly trying to orient herself in the budding chaos.

Silverstone faced the clan. She never enjoyed addressing the clan without her leader. She wasn't the deputy, but someone had to step up for her leader. "Yesterday, the leader asked me to contact Blazefoot and send him out on a mission. He was sent into BloomClan's territory under the impression that BloomClan does not currently have a mystic. This is not the case. He was spotted." She paused, taking a moment to contemplate how to explain the situation. "We are going to war."
Blazefoot became present, joining the crowd of cats. When Silverstone point had been made, he quickly began to worry of the clan's future.

Sunpaw sat down heavily. "War?" she squeaked.
Shadewing stared blearily at her commanders. "War?" she wavered. "But- certainly- BloomClan would not bring about more blood shed." But she stopped. She knew in her bones that they would. "What shall we do?"

Silverstone shook her head. "They have threatened us for too long, and Burnstar has decided it is time the tension be addressed. This will be in the form of war. His decision will not change. For now, I would advise you all get some rest. I will speak with Burnstar in the morning and inform you all of our plans going forward." She said, waving her tail in dismissal.
Blazefoot heard the echoes of worry throughout the camp. He sighed heavily, and went absent.

Shadewing turned to Sunpaw trembling beside her, but found she could utter no words of comfort. The cats trudged back to their dens.

Let's do a time skip)
Silverstone woke in the warrior's den, reluctant to leave her moss bed. Light trickled through the branches but the other warriors seemed to still be asleep. She decided to relax for a bit longer.

Sun paw lay rolling in the bedding as she awoke from a lovely dream filled with sunlight and fresh blood. When her eyes fluttered open, looming above her was the nightmarish declaration form earlier. She sat up, suddenly breathless.
Shadewing awoke, her thoughts elsewhere. She prodded Silverstone with her paw. "Big day..." she said quietly.

Silverstone shifted to look at Shadewing. "I guess." She felt the discomfort in the air, and did not want to believe that this was going to happen.

Shadewing gave an encouraging mew to Silverstone before slipping out of the den into the clearing. Her stomach growled, and she waited listlessly for a hunting party to be called.
Sunpaw waited for Blazefoot to become present. She was grateful for every moment of his time he spent with her, but now she just wanted someone to tell her it was going to be okay; no, she wanted someone to train her on how to defend her clan. To fight for their rights. To kill another cat. Her stomach flipped.

Silverstone slowly made her way out of the den, following Shadewing into the center. She looked around for Burnstar but found that he was no where near by. "Do you want to go hunting ourselves?" She asked, noticing that the camp hadn't quite woken up yet.
Blazefoot had been present for much of the morning, exploring the forest within the territory. He was looking for good places to hunt or train. He hovered over to Sunpaw and noticed her unease. "What's wrong?" He asked; he knew the answer but wasn't sure how to respond just yet.

Shadewing nodded, flexing her paws. She started off to climb the slope out of camp.
Sunpaw looked away from her mentor. "Nothing," Sunpaw stuttered. "Can we train battle techniques today?" she added.

Silverstone followed, noticing a light fog around the camp and a cloudy sky. "It's probably going to rain," she said as she followed Shadewing out of the camp.
Blazefoot sighed, but nodded. "Sure. Let's go to the training ground." He signaled for them to start leaving the camp.

Shadewing nodded. "Hopefully only a drizzle. Let's head near two leg place."
Sunpaw trotted after her mentor, trying to enjoy her beautiful home but plagued by thoughts of cats with red eyes and sharp teeth lurking around every corner. She quickened her pace.

"Sounds good." she said, picking up the pace and heading towards the twoleg place.
Blazefoot slowed to walk next to Sunpaw. "Are you going to tell me what's wrong? It's about the announcement, isn't it?" He said after having thought about how to prepare Sunpaw for the upcoming war.

Shadowing focused herself into hunting mode, leaving her worries back at camp. She took a breath and tuned herself in to the chattering of the forest, searching for some sound or scent to latch onto.
"I'm not scared or anything," Sunpaw said quickly. "But I don't want anything to happen..." with that, she looked imploringly over at her mentor and, no longer watching where she was going, rammed face first into a fallen log. "Mouse dung!" she squeaked.

Silverstone moved slowly, listening to the sounds of the forest. She tuned into the chirping of young birds not far away. "Shadewing, over here." She said quietly, walking towards the birds.
Blazefoot snorted. "Well, at this rate you'll die before you even become a warrior." He said, sitting down until Sunpaw recovered.

Shadewing followed her friend and the pair came upon a group of sparrows pecking around a bush. Immediately Shadeing sunk into a crouch. She felt hyper aware of each of her limbs.
Sunpaw hung her head. "I'm working on it," she grumbled. "Now show me how to beat you up."

Silverstone crouched down, waiting until she saw a larger bird swoop down onto the ground. She sprinted quickly and leapt towards the bird. She scratched one of the wings but the bird still managed to escape. "Fox-dung!" She growled, upset.
Blazefoot laughed, "As if you could, but we should probably at least go to the training ground; that is, of course, if you can make it there with tripping," He mocked.

Shadewing laughed despite herself. "Nice one!" she teased. "Let's try for some rats closer to the twoleg place."
Sunpaw stuck her tongue out at him. "Race ya!" she chirped, and took to bounding off towards the training grounds, swerving around the tall trees. BoneClan territory, with its little underbrush, was perfect for running.

Silverstone snorted. "As if I haven't seen you miss a catch before." She said, beginning to move in the direction of twoleg place.
Blazefoot laughed, Sunpaw would run out of energy quickly. He bounded through the forest, easily catching up simply because he didn't have to dodge any trees. He passed by her, leaving a trail of light behind him.
