(Yeah that's a good word for it)
Arabella climbed up onto the horse, not as fast as she usually does though, it has been a while since Arabella got onto a horse. She scooted up on the saddle so Uriah could get up. She assumed that Uriah was trusting her in knowing where she was going, which she did, but they might need to make a u-turn in some areas. Arabella brushed her bangs put of her face, she forgot to make them shorter the last time she cut her hair. She couldn't help but look at Uriah's clothes everyone once in a while, they were new and kept neat. She was glad that he wasn't taken back to the castle and was able to live his life. After what happened with the bounty hunter, Arabella had a bit of blood on her tunic but she could wash it later. And she put her sword away as soon as she stepped out of the in and just now realized she has yet to clean it off. It was her most prized possession.

Uriah hopped on behind her, wrapping his arms around to keep himself steady since he was without stirrups. He hoped Arabella wouldn't mind. "Let's get going." He told her, which wasn't much effort since he was right by her ear. He had hoped for a quiet evening at the tavern, maybe to relax. Well now, things have changed. Not that he wasn't happy to see Arabella, he was overjoyed.

*and...skipping to abandoned house in woods yay!*
After taking a few wrong turns here and there, Arabella and Uriah finally made it to the house. She climbed down from the horse and opened the door to the house, as she had broken the lock to see inside earlier. As Arabella remebered it, the house was empty. No sign of people living here and the few pieces of furniture that were here didn't look like they had been used in a few years. Once you entered you were in a small family room, with one chair and stool. There was a hallway on the right that had two doors across from each other. The room thay was on the left side of the hallway was previously used as a bedroom with one bed inside, but no sheets. The room the right side of the hallway had a large mirror in it but besides that it was bare. Most of the house was like this. There was no kitchen however, the closest thing they would get to a furnace would be the fireplace. But it didn't have logs, and with no axe to chop wood, it would most likely be cold at night. The hallway on the left mirrored the one on the right. "Well, it's not much but until daybreak this is what we have." Arabella took off her sword and the case in which she would sheathe it, and rested it against the front wall of the house. "We do need to talk though." Arabella stated.

Uriah knew Arabella wouldn't admit to it, but he was pretty sure they had to turn around a few times before they finally found the abandoned house. He tied the horse to a tree while Arabella went inside the house. Once the horse was taken care of, he went inside after Arabella. It was easy to tell the house was abandoned. It was mostly bare and held a musty smell. Dust had settled in various parts as well. It sure wasn't an inn, but it was better then jail. "How nice." Uriah commentated, though he was being sarcastic. He didn't want to sound ungrateful for the shelter they had been given. He glanced over at Arabella as she set her sword down. "Yeah." He said, taking off the cloak he was wearing.

Arabella walked over and sat down on the chair, with her legs and feet over the back of the chair and her back on the actual seat. She was looking upside down at Uriah, "What have you been doing? What happened? I mean just tell me all the details really. I never thought I would see you again, and now that you're here...it feels good and odd. But in a good way." She couldn't really explain it, but hopefully Uriah got the idea. She hasn't been this excited since she and Uriah were in the woods. There was so much she wanted to know, and hopefully Uriah wouldn't find her pushy or anything.

Uriah almost laughed when he saw Arabella hanging upside down in the chair. He wondered what had put Arabella in such a good mood, but not that it was a bad thing. Uriah put his hands up as Arabella sent a flurry of questions his way. "Slow down." He chuckled. He stood against the wall. "I missed you too." He smiled. "I guess I've been using the freedom I have as best I can. I've been finding work and traveling. I saw the mountains." He said, he voice almost dreamy. They held such beauty. He looked at her. "What have you been doing?"

"Me? Nothing intresting. Eat, sleep, travel, and take notes. Not much more than that though. It has been very boring, I was kind of hoping for some letters from my brothers, but they don't like to write so I can't expect much." She rolled her eyes, Arabella's brothers were so lazy sometimes. "Which surprises me though. Usually they like to check up on me but recently they haven't." Arabella shrugged, but wanted to laugh at the sudden thought of her brothers coming with them. She figured they would set rules, most likely something ridiculous like Uriah can't be within a 20 foot radius around Arabella and thing like that. It was annoying when she was just saying hi to a friend on the street, but there was no way around it. Arabella was the little sister of the house and they treated her like she was 5, but it was amusing at times. "Random question, but do you have any family members in your previous country?"

Uriah was saddened at the thought that Arabella's brother didn't write her. He never had siblings so he didn't know what type of love that was. Maybe it was better off that way since his life was completely crazy right now. Uriah wasn't about to ask Arabella how her task for the king was going, he would avoid that subject as long as possible. Brom's kingdom was getting ready to head to war now. Uriah looked out the window and back at Anabella when she asked him a question. He ran a hand through his darkening hair, it was turning brown like his mother's. "I have a father, wherever he is. Not close enough to care about me apparently. He left my mother shortly after she told him she was pregnant with me." Uriah had never told anyone this, but with Arabella it came naturally, even if he should be cautious.

"Well, guys can be jerks. Not you, I mean, but just guys in general. But I don't see why he would want to abandon you." Arabella gave him a small smile before adding, "Have you met anyone new? New friends and such?" She liked getting into people's buisness, but wouldn't try to be too direct about it. Arabella was just curious in general. Maybe that is why she's a good pick for this job. After the blood started rushing to her head she sat right sidr up, and fixed her hair again. But when they fell in her face she just lazily blew them out of the way.

Uriah smiled at Arabella as she blew the strand of hair out of her face. "He was in a high position, my mother was commoner. A noble couldn't be seen with such embarrassment. Their whole relationship had been a secret." Uriah didn't care about his father. He was there when he was born so Uriah had no attachment to him. His mother did speak about him every so often, Uriah was sure she still loved him. Uriah crossed his arms. "No, not anyone as interesting as you. Milkmaids aren't quite so adventurous, nor is anyone else. I didn't even find anyone that shared my interest in traveling. Everything was 'stay at home' and 'always take care our the land'. Nothing adventurous."

(Noooo! Okay, we just have to get on from 4:00 to 5:30 ish)
Arabella smiled, "Well not everyone can be as intresting as me." She laughed a little, "I didn't have the exact same problem but something similar. Young men would notice me but, they weren't you. You were actually intresting. Some would lose intrest in me the second they saw I wasn't exactly 'lady like'," she made quotation marks with her hands and laughed, "Not all girls are obsessed with dresses and jewelry, especially not this one." Arabella was hoping the first person that she was allowed to have a relationship woth would be Uriah, not these other boys. For one thing they didn't look like Uriah, and another thing was that they didn't match her personality.

Uriah laughed, it was true, Arabella wasn't your typical lady. "I couldn't possibly imagine you any other way besides this one. No one knows what it's like to be free anymore." He took a deep breath. "I love it so much." Uriah looked at Arabella for a second. "Of course, I hadn't met anyone as pretty as you either." He thought about when he kissed her cheek in the dungeon. Reliving it almost gave him chills and that was just her cheek. She had been the only girl he had ever kissed, no one wanted to kiss a servant, that was just detestable. Well, Uriah was more then a servant now.

Arabella blushed, no male had ever said that to her before, "Well, you are the most handsome man I've met." She smiled, the pinky blush still showing. Uriah was the only boy who she felt feelings for and the only one who felt the same back...hopefully. After he kissed her in the dungeon she assumed that was a sign. But with boys you can never be to sure. Arabella looked down at her feet and then at Uriah and bit her lip as she did so. Then a thought came to her mind, what if he kissed her? Like really kissed her? Would it be a spur of the moment thing or would he really have meant it? Well whatever happened, it didn't matter to her. She could finally say she kissed a boy, and a cute one at that

Uriah looked around the room briefly, not used to compliments. "Well, I'm just glad I'm not a servant any longer." He said, feeling slightly awkward. He could feel her look at him and it actually made him want to look away. It was still ground in him not to look people in the eyes. He wondered if Arabella watched him as closely as he did her. Uriah let out a long sigh. "Did you get that position you wanted back in your kingdom?" He asked, despite the bitterness tied to the subject, Uriah still wanted Arabella to succeed, just not betray his kingdom somehow. A part of him still held the dream that they could still travel to the ocean together.

Her color returned back to normal almost immediately after he spoke, "I haven't been back yet. I'm not allowed to come back until I've visited every country that borders Eldin's. Hopefully I can go up a rank or two though, it would be nice to be able to teach others in the ways of our knights. Of course, I won't be on the position of knight for a few more years but, I can dream right?" She looked out a window by the front door, not too sure about what to do with herself. Arabella was a bit surprised he brought up the subject, she assumed it was tabooed or something. Although she did enjoy her job, here and in her home land, Arabella still wasn't sure if Uriah felt comfortable discussing it. "What about you? Is there any specific job you're looking for?"

Uriah sifted through his thoughts. "I don't really know yet. I obviously have a lot of experience with horses. I've been picking up jobs here and there, but I want something exciting so no farming or staying in one place for too long." Uriah hadn't given much thought to a permanent job, he'd have to get far away from Brom's kingdom so that people wouldn't know his reputation. He didn't know how much use his skills with horses would be in other countries, they just happened to be of high value in the palace. "I guess I'm still learning what there is." Uriah admitted, wishing his education wasn't so limited. In truth, he didn't even know how to read. Servant's weren't supposed to be smart, just obedient.

"Well I'm sure there's something out there. There has to be a job for everything I would think." She put her hand up to her chin, "A full education wouldn't be too important, because teachers are mainly for the extremely wealthy. After all, they use private tutors and such. I was placed this job because I had enough education to be able to write, read, and use charts and maps. A lot of other guards did too, but I guess a female would be less intimidating." Arabella shook her head as she realized she was getting off topic, "Anyway. If you have some level of education I'm sure ypu could even make your job. Like someone who is self employed. I hate math so I wouldn't be able to do that." Pherhaps servants were given some education, like just how to read and write. That would most likely be the most essential thing in the buisness world. Of course, you don't have to know how to read and write if you were a farmer or something to that extent but that was not what Uriah was going for. Arabella searched her brain for answers, but right now she was drawing a blank. Maybe it was because she hasn't been in a really populated town to really look at what jobs they have for someone like Uriah.

(I might have cringed a little)
Uriah felt a little self doubt as Arabella talked about her education. She was smarter then he knew and he was well...smart enough to get by. He could write if it was just his name. Uriah leaned back and stroked his neck awkwardly. "I don't know how to read.....or write..." He said quietly, moving his gaze to the floorboard. It sounded like his job hope's were short, but if someone needed any work that just required muscle and sweat he could easily do it, it's the only thing he knew how to do. That and get in trouble with the law apparently.

Arabella gave him a confused look, "You were never taught?" She asked, shocked. Arabella assumed that most servants were taught to at least read or write. "I think the only reason I know is because my mother used to be a teacher and expected me to go into politics and such." She paused, "Have you ever had an intrest in learning how to read and write? Maybe I could teach you a little. But I'm warning you, I don't study, I just know enough grammar to get me by." Arabella ran her fingers through her hair, she didn't want to feel like she was bragging or anything. Knowing how to read and write wasn't a huge deal, most people knew. Well, unless you were a lower class citizen. Which Uriah isn't now but you know what you know.

Uriah shook his head. "The King doesn't exactly believe that servants need education unless they are serving inside the palace. My mother wasn't able to teach me either." Uriah perked up at her offer yet he still felt embarrassed that she didn't know anything about reading. "I would like that, a lot." He didn't care if she wasn't a scholar or anything like that, but if he was going to make it anywhere out in this world he needed to learn to read in write. "I guess that mean we will together again for a little while." Uriah said, looking at her. Hopefully it made her happy, he didn't think he wanted to leave again, not after such a lucky chance.

"I guess we will student." She said playfully. Arabella was not the type of person that got to teach others often, usually it was the knight commander or her family. This would be something new. Arbella looked up at him, "Where do you plan to live? We both love to travel but we both know everyone needs an actual home. I don't live in the woods after all." She laughed, hopefully Uriah had something about his future planned out. They were both uncertain sure, but they need to have a badic outline though. However, when it came to things like a spouse or if she will stay in her family's home or not was still unclear.

Uriah crossed his legs. "I'm saving up for a small cottage. I hope once I can get a good job, I will have some money. I have money now, but it won't be enough for a couple more month's. For now, I'm just a wanderer." Uriah said. Of course, with Arabella teaching him to read and write now he might be able to get a better paying job that would allow for a nice house. He glanced at Arabella, wondering what is what like to live with family. Wait, he had never even asked her about her family. "Bella, you've never told me about your family." He said, completely changing the subject.

"They are intresting that's the nice way to put it." She giggled, "My dad and mom are elsewhere, at least that's what they told me and my brothers so I'm not quite sure what that means yet but um...my brothers are very overprotective. Very. I'm the youngest so they treat me like I'm 5 of course. But when it comes to guys, they set up rules." She put her face in her hands in embarrassment but looked up again, "For example, if they came along with us to this house. They would probably pull you aside and tell you that you can't be within 20 feet of me. And even if we were just to hug, they would push you away and tell you to stop harrassing me. No joke. They are really annoying sometimes. I wish I could trade siblings sometimes!" Arabella rolled her eyes playfully, "Do you want to trade? They just wrestle with each other, if that's something you're into." Arabella laughed. She loved her brothers but Arabella wasn't a little girl anymore, she was a young woman now and can make her own decisions. For the most part anyway.
