Would anyone want to help make an original four/five clan roleplay? Like with ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, and maybe SkyClan?

I'd love to help too c: I'd like to snag SkyClan if I can.
And as to lake or forest, I think forest. Perhaps a semi-AU where they've recently settled/come to the forest?

Alright guys I'm super stoaked. As for the literacy I was planning on pushing for semi-literate, at least for the leaders/important roles.

Great. I would love to stress getting all the territory information and other mundane things collected before dishing out clans, just because then I'll know who's willing to stay long term. So right now I'm going to post what I have in all regards (rules, ranks, camps, territories, etc.) and you guys can debate over what we need to have and what we don't.

Okay, that's a good idea. We could use the official maps for each territory.

sounds gucchi. Thunderlake im not sure how well using the official maps would go over; against most layouts, they would look pretty tacky, you know? plus, i don't believe that there are any maps that include skyclan that are readily available. but it would be easy enough to test out and whatnot. we should definitely have uniform layouts, though. they make the clans look a lot nicer and more professional. but obviously, the ultimate decision goes to op.

Post by lazy penguin on Mar 5, 2017 20:18:57 GMT -5
Here's what I have. Most of it is my writing crap in order to fill things out.
Clan Territories and Camps: Knowing me I'll probably copy and paste from the warriors wiki with a little added writing to make it look good.
Predators and Prey:
Probably should get these for all clans but right now I only have a few.
ThunderClan: Foxes- Common Owls- Common Dogs- Uncommon Badgers- Uncommon Hawks- Uncommon Wolves- Rare Coyotes- Rare Mice/other small rodents- Common Squirrel- Common Birds- Common Rabbits- Uncommon Lizards- Uncommon Frogs- Rare Fish- Rare
WindClan: Foxes- Common Hawks- Common Dogs- Common Owls- Uncommon Badgers- Rare Coyotes- Rare Rabbits- Common Mice/other small rodents- Common Birds- Uncommon Lizards- Uncommon Frogs- Rare Squirrels- Rare Fish- Rare
Recent History?: I don't know I'll come up with this when we decide the territories.
Introduction: Oh boy. This depends on the clan. Works on introducing each clans and their talents even though most people should know this, but whatever.
Rules: Fun stuff that I don't want to write out.

Oh wow, you guys talked a lot while I was getting that.
I'm totally on board for uniform layouts.
As for the maps, I feel like since most people on this forum have read and seen the map that it's not necessary, especially if it messes up the layouts we try to use.

About the maps thing: true, true. I do have the nice colored one on me and a SkyClan one but I think if we were to have someone draw them or something that'd be nice. But I bet most people already know them all anyway.

For the introduction, maybe we could use the introductions give by the guide instead of having to write them out on our own? Same for the territory. Since everyone knows like the different environments for the Clans maybe we should just put simple landmarks.

Ooooo using the intros from the guides would be clever especially since we could adapt it easily to fit around the OCs that are created as leaders and stuff.

Depending on which territory we decide on, we can use the guide for majority of the territory/about or introduction and somewhat on the history(if we decide on the forest territory). Plus extra stuff, medicine cat herbs, cat terms, etc, etc.

Here's what I've taken so far-
ThunderClan Camp: sheltered at the foot of a ravine and we'll protected by thornbushes, this camp is hard to attack and easy to defend.
Tallpines: Watch out for the Twoleg Tree-eater! It makes the ground rumble and leaves deep gullies that fill with muddy water!
Great Sycamore: Its branches are thick and strong all the way to the ends. Young apprentices learn to climb here and dare one another to climb higher.
Owl-Tree: Halfway up the trunk is a hole that is home to a tawny owl that flies out at night. Legend has it that an early ThunderClan apprentice learned the secrets of night hunting from one such owl. Every night as the moon rose, he would wait at the foot of the Owl-Tree. When the owl swooped out, he followed like the owl’s shadow cast by the moon on the ground. Eventually this bold young apprentice became a great leader known as Owlstar. In the hunt, he was a silent and deadly as the tawny owl.

THUNDERCLAN
(1)ThunderClan Camp: Sheltered at the foot of a sandy ravine and well protected by thorn bushes, this camp is hard to attack and easy to defend.
(2)Tallpines: Watch out for the Twoleg Tree-eater! It makes the ground rumble and leaves deep gullies that fill with muddy water.
(3)Great Sycamore: Its branches are thick and strong all the way to the ends. Young apprentices learn to climb here and dare one another to climb higher.
(4)Owl-Tree: Halfway up the trunk is a hole that is home to a tawny owl that flies out at night.
(5)Sunningrocks: A warm spot in the sunshine. Keep a sharp eye out for prey darting between the cracks! Many moons ago, when the river was much wider than it is now, Sunningrocks was an island. Only RiverClan cats could swim onto it. Then the water dropped, and Sunningrocks became part of the forest shore, so ThunderClan claimed it. They did not allow RiverClan cats to cross their territory to reach it. Since then, man battles have been fought between the two Clans over these smooth, sun-warmed stones.
(6)Snakerocks: Beware the poisonous adders! Chervil grows abundantly here. The caves beneath the rocks provide shelter for dangerous animals, like foxes, badgers - and even dogs.
(7)Sandy Hollow: A training hollow surrounded by trees. Warrior apprentices are unlikely to hurt themselves on the soft ground.
(8)Twolegplace: A maze of small Thunderpaths and Twoleg dens. There are two different kinds of cats in Twolegplace: loners and kittypets.
WindCLAN
(1)WindClan Camp: Tucked into a natural dip in the sandy moor, this camp is sheltered from the wind but has proved vulnerable to attack.
(2)Abandoned Badger Set: WindClan apprentices used to come here to learn the scent of badger. Now a great spot for hunting rabbits!
(3)The Gorge: WindClan elders boast that they leaped all the way across in their youth, but apprentices are strictly forbidden to go too close.
(4)Twoleg Farm: Cows, sheep, dogs, Twolegs, live here. WindClan sheltered in the barn on their way home from exile.
(5)Outlook Rock: This flat, gray stone slopes steeply above the level moors. From here, you can spot movement far across the grassland, especially a slow-moving or brightly colored cat from another Clan. WindClan apprentices are assigned to Outlook Rock to test their alertness and guard-duty skills.

Warriors Wiki is actually helpful in times like these :3 I'm just copying stuff straight from there. I'm also going to use spoiler tags for each clan because there's quite a bit to scroll through. THUNDERCLAN ThunderClan cats are known for their skill at stalking prey through forest and undergrowth. The very first leader was Thunderstar, who was the son of the first SkyClan leader, Skystar. He was born in a monster den to a she-cat named Storm, when the monster den collapsed. She had left Skystar's forest after he was overly protective. Thunder was her only surviving kit.
Camp - It lies at the foot of a sandy ravine, protected by thornbushes. The camp is easy to defend and hard to attack. Tallpines and Treecut Place - Pines near Twolegplace. Usually filled with Twoleg tree-eaters, the ground there rumbles and leaves deep gullies filled with muddy water. The Great Sycamore - One of the largest trees with strong and thick branches. The Owl Tree - A tree that serves home to a tawny owl. Sunningrocks - Rocks that absorb the sunshine and are a place of relaxation. Moons ago, it used to be an island belonging only to RiverClan, but when the river changed current, ThunderClan wanted this territory, too. Snakerocks - Home to venomous adders. The caves beneath the rocks can also be homes to other dangerous creatures. The Sandy Hollow - A training hollow with soft sand so apprentices don't hurt themselves
Twolegplace would not be there as SkyClan is involved.
The ThunderClan Forest Camp is in a sandy ravine that used to be a riverbed a long time ago. The camp consists of a clearing edged with thick grass, dotted with tree stumps, and has a thick curtain of ferns and gorse shielding it. It is also surrounded by brambles, and the entrance is through a gorse tunnel. There is a tall boulder in the clearing, called the Highrock, used by the leader to call meetings. The Highrock has scuffed earth around its base. A vast, sandy clearing stretches to the Highrock, which is near a clump of nettles. A bit away from the nursery is a crowded corner of ferns, which have a tall barrier of gorse behind it. At one side a fallen tree lies, its tangled branches folded on the ground. The fresh-kill pile usually lies at the side of the clearing.
The nursery is under a thick bramble bush. There is a huge gap in the bush that leads to the clearing. The apprentices' den is in a clump of ferns, beside a tree stump. The warriors' den is under a bush, with a nearby nettle patch. The warriors' den is beside the nursery. It is said that the senior warriors sleep near the center, the warmest area. It is also an honor that senior warriors invite younger warriors to eat with them by the bush. The medicine cat's den is a crack in a rock, near a small grassy clearing, a tunnel of ferns leading to it. Inside there is a grassy clearing with a small pool at one edge. One tall rock stands at the side, split with a crack to keep herbs inside. The elders' den is under a jutting branch in the fallen tree that has grass, moss and ferns sprouting from every crevice in the tangle of wood. There is a maze of twigs that eventually lead to an empty space among tangled branches. The leader's den is a cave in the Highrock which was carved out by an ancient stream, with lichen hanging over the entrance. Inside the den is a quiet cove with a smooth floor and walls, a mossy nest at one side.
WINDCLAN WindClan, who lived closest to the Moonstone, are cats well versed in Twoleg culture (due to the farm they lived so close to). WindClan Cats are known for their swift paws, which lend ease to catching prey such as rabbits on the open moors of their territory. Their very first leader was Windstar, who was also known as Wind Runner. She and her mate, Gorsestar joined the Early Settlers. Before Windstar became the leader of WindClan, Gray Wing and Shadowstar held the leadership.
The WindClan Forest Camp is in a sandy hollow, surrounded by gorse. The entrance is through a gorse tunnel. A tall boulder, called the Tallrock is used by the leader to call meetings.
Camp - It is tucked into a natural dip in the sandy moors. This makes the camp sheltered from wind, but easy to attack. Abandoned Badger Set - A tunnel once used by a badger. The Gorge - A deep gorge cut by the river in the terrain, border with RiverClan. Apprentices are forbidden to go near it. Twoleg Farm - The northwest border of the territory is marked by a farm. Outlook Rock - A large rock on the border heading towards Fourtrees. From here, everything can be seen across the moors
The nursery and the elders' den are under the gorse wall surrounding the camp. The other cats, including the leader, prefer to sleep under the open sky, although in bad weather, they retreat in burrows made by rabbits, foxes or badgers.
RIVERCLAN RiverClan is known for their skill at swimming. RiverClan cats are also known for their unique skill at scooping fish from the river. The very first leader was Riverstar, who was a loner that met the cats that came from the mountain
The RiverClan Forest Camp is on a large, well-drained, island and is surrounded by reeds. All of the dens are tightly woven. It can be reached only by swimming, and as cats from other Clans cannot swim (and hate water, in general), the camp is rarely attacked.
Camp - A well-drained island surrounded by the river and reeds. The other Clans' fear of water means this camp has never been attacked. The Gorge - A deep gorge cut by the river in the terrain, border with WindClan. Apprentices are forbidden to go near it. The River - A source of food and protection to the Clan. Sometimes, it is peaceful while other times, it floods. Twoleg Bridge - A bridge built by Twolegs that allows the cats to go to Fourtrees when the river is high. Beech copse - A training area for apprentices and warriors.
All dens are made up of tangles of reeds. It is mentioned that cats weave feathers in the reeds and decorate the edges with rocks and shells. There is a well-trodden grass track leading away from the sedges and between thick bushes of the camp. The medicine den is past a deep olive sedge and in a calm den. The apprentice den has a warm coating of moss on it. The nursery is tucked away into a thick sedge wall. It is made of willow branches and reeds. The elders' den is at the high end of a slope. It is made of woven willow stems. The leader's den is built of willow stems and woven into the roots of the ancient willow.
SHADOWCLAN ShadowClan, the source of many of the darker cats seen in the series, is sometimes referred to as the "dark heart of the forest." ShadowClan cats are known for their ability to walk quietly and avoid detection. They're also known for their willingness to eat frogs, toads, lizards, rats, and crowfood- foods most Clan cats turn their noses up at. Their first leader was Shadowstar. She was one of the cats to make the journey from the mountain to the forest, and she lead the traveling group at one point in time
Camp - A dark, well-concealed hollow hidden deep in shadows. It is surrounded by prickly and fierce brambles. Carrionplace - An evil place where rats and diseases lurk. Thunderpath tunnel - ShadowClan cats move freely across the most feared part of the Thunderpath. This has enhanced their reputation for mysterious strength and invincibility. Burnt Sycamore - An ancient tree struck by lightning moons ago. Apprentices are trained here to hunt at night and stalk through undergrowth
The ShadowClan Forest Camp is in a hollow with muddy ground surrounded by brambles. The entrance is through a thorn tunnel. A smooth boulder, known as the Clanrock, is at the edge of the clearing and is used by the leader to call meetings.
The nursery is in a hollow, shielded by a thorn bush. The warriors' den is under a large bramble bush. The medicine cat's den is in a cave under two boulders (one being the Clanrock) and is surrounded by ferns. The leader's den is beneath the roots of a big oak tree.
SKYCLAN SkyClan was the fifth Clan of the Forest. They were known for their ability to jump considerable heights, and they have hard gray pads that help them walk long distances on rough surfaces. Their first leader was Skystar. When the mountain cats arrived at the forest, Clear Sky established a group. He and his group soon became known as the most ruthless, strong, and well-fed cats in the forest.
Surrounded by deep banks of fern and bramble, the entrance is through a gap in the brambles. The warriors den is under a bramble bush and the elders den lies in gap in the ferns. The vantage point for the leader was a branch on a thorn tree, and the fresh-kill pile was under an elderflower bush. The apprentice's den was under some ferns, and the nursery lies under a holly bush
There's actually no SkyClan layout listed, so I'll probably go through the SkyClan focused books like Cloudstar's Journey to get this one.

Warrior Code too, though it is accurate to when SkyClan was in the forest c:
Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory. Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires or is exiled. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh. A Gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
Remaining laws are accurate as to SkyClan's time in the forest.
