71 Lessons You Can’t Learn From Bing about Pembrooke Academy a Survival Guide
“You know as well as I do that something fishy is going on here,” he added matter-of-factly.
Sylvie Collier ignored the pointless debate she was engaged in with the Mr. Harrell, beginning to walk down the unusually quiet hallway as her heels made a click-click on the linoleum, the noise reverberating. “You’re unhealthily obsessed, Mr. Harrell,” she called back. Sharp blue eyes peered over her shoulders, lips pursed in scowl. “Maybe our efforts to quell the student’s rivalry has paid off.”
“For a day,” the principal stated, a small smile gracing his lips. “I don’t think these students can ever be quelled.”
“Your mocking is not appreciated.”
“Your optimism is unnecessary.”
She shot out an arm to grab someone behind the lockers, causing Shawn Harrell to flinch at her reflexes and acute perception. “Now, Mr. Stark,” Ms. Collier drawled out at the young man, her fingers lightly pressed into his shoulders. “What are you doing hiding behind the lockers during class time?” Her eyes were narrowed, a steely frown demanding an answer to the question left in the open air. Sylvie Collier was not someone to mess with at Pembrooke Academy, it was a rule that all students followed.
Shawn Harrell crossed his arms, for just a moment he thought about opening his mouth. Even just to tell her to go easy on him. Instead he simply focused on the muted gray lockers and let Sylvie Collier continue her pursuit for an answer from Harley Stark—a sophomore at Pembrooke Academy with a knack for getting in trouble, and starting disputes with the other students.
“Grabbing homework,” Harley muttered.
“Hmm. If I find another makeshift contraption in the hallway Mr. Stark…” She released him from her grip, staring at the young man with hawk-like eyes.
“Harley, why don’t you head back to class? Physics, right?” Shawn—Mr. Harrell—spoke up. There was a long silence where Harley Stark nodded, gripping a binder in his hand close to his chest. Sylvie seemed tempted to ask him to show her his homework, but Shawn shot her a pointed look.
“Yes Mr. Harrell.”
Shawn let out a deep breath, reminding himself that it would do no justice to be inconsiderate to other students. Even if he knew it wasn’t likely to be homework in the binder. They would figure out the future concoction of a plan by Harley Stark somehow. Mr. Harrell could feel the little confidence he had shrinking with the glare Sylvie shot at him when Harley was out of sight. “It wasn’t homework in that binder.”
“Yes, but we’ll handle it. We normally do.” Shawn sighed, in most situations he was level-headed. However, being a principal of a school likened to Pembrooke Academy was not ‘most situations’, in fact it was far from it. He winced when he caught Sylvie’s look again, already knowing she was not under the impression that ‘handling it’ was the way to go than ‘terminating the problem’.
“Yes,” Ms. Collier intoned, brows furrowed. “We’ll handle anything the sons and daughters of superheroes and criminals throw at us.”

HISTORY & TIMELINE OF THE MULTIVERSE
Captain America began as the first superhero, since his beginning in 1940 as a show-boy success, to leading the Howling Commandos against Nazi’s, until his disappearance and presumed death in 1945. Steve Rogers showcased the known, large path to heroics: he inspired Iron Man, Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, the first Flash, and many others to take on a mantle of responsibility for those who cannot help themselves. The earth became a legend, seven billion humans in the world who need saved—and a handful of superheroes who are willing to serve.
It began with the Justice League of America. A small amount of superheroes saved the world from an imminent outside-the-galaxy threat, becoming formerly recognized by the President of the United States, funded by Wayne Enterprises, Kord Industries, Star Labs, and Queen Consolidated. Their faces were public, they were (mostly) friendly, and they began the new era of heroes with their ‘sidekicks’, recruiting new superheroes into their forces. The Justice League became the known liaison for superheroes and those with a drive for good.
Secondly, the formation of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D) in the 1940s, but it resurfaced and congregated after the Justice League of America's formation. What started as an American underground organization and cleanup crew for the superheroes, protecting them against their enemies and their known civilian families and counterparts,. It evaded the public eye and thus, the Justice League of America—until a new superhero initiative was proposed by the Board of Directors. One that followed closely to government law, legality, and the military. It would be a back-up for if the Justice League of America decides to use their ‘above the law’ supremacy against the little guy. S.H.I.E.L.D. created a contingency plan against the superheroes.
Off-world, the Justice League of America had their focus in the galaxy—most prominent members leaving the earth unattended with few in their responsibility to save it. The world didn’t need saving at this point; it needed avenged. The new initiative under S.H.I.E.L.D. was activated, bringing the newly formed Avengers to the limelight—recently saved and thawed Captain America, Iron Man (who didn’t ‘play nice’ and was not asked to join the JLA), the wayward Hulk, the Asgardian God Thor, and S.H.I.E.L.D agents codenamed Hawkeye and Black Widow.
People admired them and their openness, who they were, and what they did in the hour of need—as an alien race attacked New York, injuring and killing multiple. The new heroes saved countless, stealing favor of citizens in a single swoop.
