Owlwhisker let Littleshadow press close to him, knowing the pain she must have been feeling. To lose some of the only family you had. He leaned down to brush his muzzle between her ears comfortingly.
Splashstone watched his father and aunt honor the cats they lost, his own chest aching. He had never even gotten to know his grandmother, and she had been the only one left. Would she have liked him, even if he was half-clan, with a body built for both worlds? He looked away coldly, sadly.

Arcticpaw lowered her head in respect for the fallen warriors. The apprentice was sitting a little further away from the other RiverClan warriors, but was still close enough so as not to get separated.

Without noticing where he was going in his attempt to see the leaders, Gustpaw brushed up against Arcticpaw. With a start he noticed he had bumped into the apprentice with her head lowered. "Oh! I'm sorry," he murmured, flattening his ears. What kind of cat would bump into a grieving member of another Clan?

Arcticpaw swiveled her head around when she felt someone bump into her and flicked her ear in slight annoyance, “Watch where you’re going next time.” She grumbled before taking a look at Gustpaw. Catching his scent, her whiskers twitched, “You’re from WindClan, aren’t you? What are you doing over here by the RiverClan cats?”

"Right, sorry," Gustpaw apologized again, feeling more embarrassed. It was worse enough to get scolded by someone from his own Clan. "I was trying to get a glimpse of the leaders. Since they aren't on the rock, it's hard to see and hear what's going on." he explained, flicking his tail towards where he was originally sitting. Slushfur and Silverpaw didn't seem to notice he had left.

Arcticpaw gave a sigh and flicked her ear again before turning her attention back to the leaders, “I guess I can’t blame you for that.” She said. The RiverClan apprentice glanced back him for a second before moving over slightly, “Here, you can kind of see them through this gap of warriors.” She offered, wrapping her tail around her paws to give Gustpaw some room to see.

Oakstalk moved quietly from where he was sitting over to his apprentice. He settled down next to Honeypaw before meowing quietly to him. “It’s not like you to miss an argument.” He said with lightly amusement.

Honeypaw shot his mentor a look of surprise, only to scowl faintly as he exclaimed. “That was what that noise was about? Starclan save me, who was it about and did Shadowclan win?” He asked pointedly, wanting all the details. If only he had heard it, he knew he would have spoken up to shut some loud mouthes down.

Would she have liked him, even if he was half-clan, with a body built for both worlds? He looked away coldly, sadly. Littleshadow gave Owlwhisker a small purr of thanks, glad that he was here with her tonight. She didn't know what she would do if she had been alone to hear the announcement of her mother's death once more. Tinypool turned to Stormsplash with a small smile, "She's home now, with Lilypetal, Rosekit and Dawnpaw... I'm sure Oddberry will keep them company as well." she mewed warmly. Stormsplash tensed at the mention of his first mate, glancing at Splashstone nervously, he flicked his tail slightly wondering if his son knew Rainfeather was not his first love. His heart clenched at the fact that almost his whole family had joined Starclan at this point, Oddberry and Rainfeather included. He sighed, coming to the realization that he, and Tinypool were not young anymore.

Owlwhisker offered his words, as best as he could. “I bet your mother would be real proud of you right now. I think when you have a really good mother, you don’t forget things like that. So I hope you never forget her.” He mewed, wondering what his life would have been like had his mother wanted him and Tessa in those alleyways. Littleshadow being taken in must have been a wonderful feeling.
Splashstone glanced oddly at Stormsplash, noticing the sudden change in expression. His ear flicked, wondering who those cats were that Tinypool had named. More kin, it seemed.

Arcticpaw blinked at him and gave a shrug, “No problem.” She said, looking back at the leaders. She wondered if Earthstar would thank Cedarstar for the warning like Spiritstar had. If he did, would the tension get even worse? The ThunderClan cats still didn’t look too happy with ShadowClan. She glanced at Gustpaw again, “I don’t think I’ve met you before. What’s your name?” She asked.

"Well, it's nice to meet you." Gustpaw ducked his head, smiling slightly. He hoped she wasn't mad at him anymore. "Oh, it looks like Earthstar's going to speak again!" he said, turning back towards the gap to look.
Earthstar continued with his report, dreading this part. "I would also like to address ShadowClan. As we all know, they sent cats out to warn the other Clans of the fire. I would like to mention that they also sent cats to warn us." He turned to Cedarstar and ducked his head. "Thank you."
Shortcloud lashed her tail. After what happened with ThunderClan, any mention of her Clan had her on edge.

Arcticpaw blinked at Gustpaw, “Uh, yeah. You too.” She murmured, tuning her head as Earthstar spoke again. So he did thank Cedarstar after all. Arcticpaw looked back at the ThunderClan warriors, wondering if another argument would break out.

When I didn't have anyone. I will be grateful for her forever." Stormsplash forced himself to relax, he knew Rainfeather had had another mate before him, so he supposed his son can't care too much that he had also had another mate. Afterall, their heartbreak had brought them together.

(Quick post)
Earthstar stepped back with a nod, hoping things would end well. “That is all RiverClan has to report.”
Gustpaw also looked over at the ThunderClan cats, hoping they wouldn’t be even more angry. It was quite scary to see them upset.

Swiftstar flicked his ear as Earthstar stepped back. Cedarstar really had warned all the clans but ThunderClan. Knowing he would speak next, he quickly ran through his mental list again.
Cloudscar glanced to Lightningstar as Earthstar noted they also had received a message. I wonder what Cedarstar will say he thought with a flick of his tail. Warning the clans had been his decision, but only because the young leader hadn't been well enough to make the call himself.

Spiritstar nodded once to Earthstar, her gaze resting between Cedarstar and Swiftstar. It seemed the gathering had its moments of tension, and yet there were no clouds covering the moon. So far, so good, it seemed.
Blacktail looked towards Swiftstar, awaiting his leader to speak with a supportive look.

Cedarstar's only response to Earthstar's report was two rapid flicks of his ears. He kept his expression still and idly turned to look in Earthstar's direction; however, he didn't turn so much that his burns would ail him. Inside, his heart was pounding and he was thankful he was laying on the ground where it was harder for others to see him. With Spiritstar and now Earthstar thanking him, he knew ThunderClan and Lightningstar would feel more and more slighted at the fact that they didn't receive a warning as well. We did all we could. Cedarstar swallowed tightly and idly look in the direction of the deputies. None of the Clans would've been warned at all if it weren't for Cloudscar sending out the patrols, but the other CLans didn't need to know that the deputy had disregarded ThunderClan. He was a well respected warrior after all and Cedarstar was a new leader. The choices of his clan now reflected on his leadership. Cedarstar staid silent, allowing Swiftstar to speak first. He'd put off addressing the Clans as long as he could.

((I think I will have only one more Swiftstar post after this for his report...maybe two))
Swiftstar stepped forward confidently and began to address the clans. "WindClan was also greatly affected by the fire. Nettlefrost, Swallowfeather, Rainfeather, Cheetahheart and Cloverleaf were all lost in the blaze." He took a moment's pause after calling out his daughter's name. For a brief moment he thought back to when he had announced their birth at a gathering not too dissimilar to this...never had he thought he would be announcing her death so soon. Continuing on, he glanced to Cedarstar. "WindClan's losses would have been much greater had it not been for a warning from ShadowClan, and we are thankful that we were able to have as much time as possible."
Cloudscar glanced to his paws at the mention of Swallowfeather, and stared at the ground. This was going to happen eventually he chided himself. You knew this was bound to happen. After a moment he took a deep breath and looked back up at the leaders again, composed.
Silverspirit pressed lightly against Eclipsesky as her mother's name was called, and to brace herself against what she knew was coming next. How would the other clans take the news of Meadowbrook's betrayal and Stormfury's decision to stay in ShadowClan?
The rest of my cats dipped their head respectfully at WindClan's lost members.

Lightningstar bristled lightly at the mention of Shadowclan again. Another clan another warning. How cruel to leave Thunderclan the only without one. It further annoyed him but he tried to relax. It wasn’t Swiftstar’s fault after all. He dipped his head at the mention of the cats lost. It truest was a dark time for all the clans.
Breezefoot bowed his head at the mention of his mate, sorrow crossing his eyes. If only he had stayed with her. She didn’t have to die. He could have protected her.

Thrushwing flattened his ears at Swiftstar's report. So, ShadowClan did warn every Clan except for ThunderClan. Those bleeding foxhearts. Thrushwing shot a glare at the nearest ShadowClan warrior. They probably hoped we'd all perish in the fire so they could take our territory!
Dashclaw turned his gaze downward at the mention of all the cats they lost. He had been closest to Cheetahheart out of all of them. She had been the best moor-runner he knew.
Closesky twitched his whiskers at Swiftstar's report. It seemed that the three Clans ShadowClan warned were recognizing their debt to ShadowClan. That was good, considering how slighted ThunderClan felt. We might have to call on the other Clans for aid just in case ThunderClan starts something.
Cedarstar turned his head just slightly in Swiftstar's direction to acknowledge the WindClan leader's words; yet, he still didn't say anything.

Splashstone looked away at the announcement of his mother’s death, not wanting to look at anyone. He dipped his head, but there was no energy to the motion.
Thorndash dipped his head quietly at the mention of his sister, heart aching for her. He swallowed, not wanting to imagine how Ashsong must be feeling, certainly if Meadowbrook was to be announced.

Sunpaw flattened her ears at Swiftstar’s report. So ShadowClan was the clan that suffered the most from the fire. Why did StarClan let it kill so many cats? What did they have against ShadowClan?

Eclipsesky placed his tail over Silverspirit's shoulders in comfort, letting her lean on him. It felt strange to be within the normal crowd and not separate with the other medicine cats, it was nice to be surrounded by the clan. Especially in their time of mourning.
Fallowmeadow gazed at Swiftstar with sad eyes as he announced their daughter's name with the rest of the deceased. She looked up to the sky, hoping Cloverleaf was shining in Starclan.
Stormsplash lowered his head in respect for Rainfeather.
Tinypool gazed at Stormsplash curiously, why did the tom look so upset over Windclan warriors?
Thistlestalk sat up a bit straighter as Swiftstar thanked Shadowclan for their help, he purred quietly thankful that he had saved countless Windclan warriors lives. He glanced down at Fuzzypaw, leaning over to his apprentice. "So what do you think so far Fuzzypaw?" he mewed with a twinge of amusement. "It's a little overwhelming huh." The tom thought back to his first gathering with Ferretclaw and Hollowpool, he smiled fondly at the thought, that gathering had been much different than this one. Northstar had still been alive, Falcontalon had still been deputy, the clans were not mourning the loss of half their warriors.

Fuzzypaw turned her face to look up at her mentor, her eyes as wide as saucers. "Yeah," she mewed. "It really is." Leaning backwards to look around the tom towards the previously squabbling apprentices who were now sitting dejectedly beside their mentors, she twitched her tail curiously. "But, um, are there always arguments? And are Gatherings always this sad? I don't think I could handle going through such emotional rollercoasters every moon..." she mused, looking down as she shuffled her paws on the dusty earth.
