Sootpaw was suddenly conscious of the many brambles attached to his messy fur, which was sticking out in large clumps at most angles. "I wouldn't recommend it." is all he said as he used his teeth to slowly remove a few of the thorns and branches from his pelt. "Don't tell anyone, especially my mentor Longclaw. He'd be furious!" Sootpaw suddenly pleaded.
[Longclaw: Senior warrior. Tom. Green eyes with a light brown and gray pelt with long claws and powerful shoulders. Strict, loyal, confident, and rational. Not a cat to get annoyed.]

He helped the other apprentice get some thorns and branches out of his fur, making sure to avoid getting any thorns in his paws "I am surprised though. This is the first time i've ever seen a plant catch a cat." his voice had a joking tone to it.

"You try falling into a bramble patch and see what it feels like." Sootpaw replied jokingly. "So, did you catch anything?" he asked. He'd been at it for hours, and he hadn't caught anything. Even a baby shrew would be able to escape him.

"I haven't really been hunting. I more or less came out to get away from the atmosphere." the clan was just recovering from everything that had happened "Oh, and my brother was caught so I didn't have anything to do in the camp. What about you? Seen anything out of the ordinary? Caught any prey?"

"Nothing to report, I'm afraid." Sootpaw said. "I probably scared away every piece of prey after that." he sighed. He wanted to be a good hunter, but he was so clumsy! "My favorite rabbit hole got filled in, too. You know, the one I would always go down under?"

"We'll do that. It'll be nice for the queens and the elders to gave some fresh water." Sootpaw agreed, and noticed a good, dried pile of moss beside him. He gently picked it up in his jaws and signalled to his friend with his tail at another patch of moss on a rock not too far away.
(That's okay. My phone is dying anyway.)

Following the other apprentices lead Hollowpaw stretched and took a moment to collect a ball of moss from the rocks. The river was a walk, but not too far from where they were. After making sure the moss was compacted enough to avoid from falling apart he walked towards the river. (Back for a little while. Might poof suddenly tho)

Sootpaw approached the tiny remnant of a river and soaked the moss in good before beginning to head back to camp with the other apprentices. "They'll really appreciate this." he mumbled to Hollowpaw.

I have Batfrost open. Not sure how much longer i'll be on though. Hopefully for a while.)
Batfrost blinked open his non bandaged eye and lifted his head. After stretching carefully he walked out of the warriors den and paused to let his eye adjust to the light. He had ended up sleeping for a long time. The sun was already out. Looking around, moving his head more than usual to make up for the loss of his left eye, Batfrost walked to the fresh kill pile and poked around. He waited for something to catch his eye.
Hollowpaw nodded and dipped his moss in as well "The river is getting lower." he worried, glancing at the water level.

"It won't be long before it's gone completely." Sootpaw said with agitation. "The streams have all but disappeared, the nearest lake's shores are covered in thick mud that would trap any cat. What are we goind to do?" he wailed, still trying to keep his voice down.

"It's a drought. The mud will dry. But I see what you mean. Any water source is gradually getting worse." the apprentice sighed "We can only hope that Starclan will send us rain." his words were slightly muffled by the moss as they entered the camp. He padded towards the nursery.
Ebonypaw was just finishing up there and nodded to his brother when Hollowpaw entered.

Flintstrike padded into the camp, scanning it as he did so. The dark gray warrior carried in his mouth a plump vole and squirrel he had brought back from his hunt. His blue eyes reflected his disappointment in his catch. He had hoped he would catch more and couldn't help but feel a little shameful at the pitiful amount of food he had brought back for the clan. Plopping his catch on the fresh kill pile, he sighed deeply and shook his head.

Batfrost looked up and said "Nice catch." considering their situation, even a vole was helpful. The last hunt he had been on they had only brought back a bird and a rabbit between three warriors. But hunting was out for a while. At least until he got used to his new situation.

"Thanks." Flintstrike mewed with a small smile, a bit of light returning to his expression. He gave a stretch, causing his pelt to ripple over his broad shoulders. The sky was a bright azure blue, and despite the fact there was no clouds, it warmed his pelt. Despite the pleasant warmth, he couldn't shake the feeling of oncoming disaster that had rested itself in his stomach. At least it made his hunger go away. "I'm probably gonna go back out to try and bring back more, if you would like to come along." He prompted, standing up straight once again.

Batfrost had been told not to go out of camp, but it he simply watched it wouldn't be a problem... right? "Sure. I won't be much help though." he stood and stretched again, waiting to follow the other warrior out of camp.

Flintstrike offered a soft smile and started to head back out of camp at a light trot. "That's perfectly fine. I'd just rather not go alone, it's kinda boring." He looked out at the territory as he exited camp and parted his jaws to try and scent any prey that might be nearby and dug his claws into the ground when he couldn't smell anything.

Batfrost followed him carefully, making sure to place his paws and keep at a pace where he could follow without his vision getting over whelmed. He slowed to a stop and flicked his ears. Tapping the other tom on his shoulder Batfrost gestured over to once of the smaller rivers that had already dried up. On the other side was a mouse.

The warriors ears instantly stood up and he gave a tiny nod, dropping into a hunting crouch and getting himself as low to the ground as possible. Flintstrike gingerly stalked across the riverbed, placing one paw softly in front of the other until he was within pouncing distance. His tail stilled itself and he carefully shifted his weight on his haunches, deciding not to risk another step and alerting the creature. He could hear its rapid heart in his ears. As if on a silent signal, he sprung and landed on the creature, killing it before it knew what hit it. He walked back across the dried riverbed bed with it proudly in his jaws.

Sootpaw offered his share of the moss to the elders and queens, who lapped it up gratefully. He then climbed to the top of a tall tree and scanned the area. All the surrounding area appeared as parched as his clanmates were, the leaves on the trees withering, the forest floor as dry as the air itself, and easily spotted, deep lines carved into the forest and meadows beyond, marking where the rivers and streams once flowed. "Where has all the water gone?" he wondered out loud.
