I personally like him as a villain, however, not as a character. Do you like him? I know some people dislike him because he tried to kill Jayfeather (imo, Jayfeather is overrated) but I only don't like him as a character because he sided with the Dark Forest and betrayed the Clans. But he's a pretty decent villain - the ONLY villain I like, since the others like to throw themselves into self-pity and make us feel sorry for them. Hah. Breezepelt is a strong character and doesn't pity himself and I like him for that.

I don't like him at all, and I hate how he got away with everything he did. He doesn't deserve Heathertail as a mate and it makes me angry the Erins paired her with the likes of him.

I still feel the same about him so here's a copy of my last post about him: Breezepelt is one of the few cats I truly despise and I think he should have been banished after the battle. At least. His upbringing was problematic but that doesn't excuse his actions in the slightest. I can see how he'd be lured into the Dark Forest and I don't fault him for that. But even after he found out what the DF was all about he was still hostile. Not to mention his attempt to murder Jayfeather (I don't even like Jayfeather) and Poppyfrost. Those were his choices, he is responsible for them. But even before all that he was a rude and unpleasant cat and his attitude annoyed me endlessly. If I were a WindClan cat I wouldn't like him one bit either tbh.
I don't like him as a villain either. His motivation is just meh at best and so was his execution. He also has zero charisma. I can't think of anything I like about him really.

The only thing I ever liked about Breezepelt was his moments in the Dark Forest only because they wrote his hatred pretty decently.
As a character I highly dislike him. His parentage was less than ideal, yes, but he was such a brat and such a dreadful cat. He had no villanous charisma that drew me to really like his character.
Heathertail as his mate? I was iffy about that. I adore Heathertail, she could have done better. But I also feel it is her who would be able to redeem any aspect of him. If Breezepelt it a decent father, it would make him better than Crowfeather.
In the end, I don't like Breezepelt.

He is a good villain, but a terrible person Though, Needletail is actually a lot better as a villain and a character--heck, even a person.

I feel bad for how he grew up, but that doesn't excuse what he did. I would say that up until just before the TFA Moonpool scene I would consider him redeemable; after that…not so much.
He was never a big threat as a villain, but I thought he was one of the better-developed characters in the series. I like him as a character, but TFA on I hate him as a cat.

I am all about redeeming Breezepelt, but it BETTER be good because he has done a lot of bad things with no "good" excuse/reason. If I were him, I'd not like my dad either, but I'd also not like my mom either, so it puzzles me how he is still so attached to Nightcloud despite all HER OWN wrong doings. Being coddled is a bit nice when you're a tiny kid, but apprentice age? Warrior age? No thank you. Nightcloud doesn't help Breezepelt, she makes his feelings worse/stronger.

Neutral.
But I find how he got to that point understandable.
He didn't have the best parents, and grew up in a pretty hostile environment like WindClan. In the new series we get to see just how different SC is than TC, and it's pretty disturbing, but they find it to be normal. In WindClan it's probably not that different, Breezepelt describes them as judgmental, and always whispering things. Considering he was caught in the middle of a huge scandal too thanks to his father, his whole life pretty much went to the dogs along with his half siblings. Making him an easy target for the Dark Forest to manipulate.
I don't think what he did was right, but neither is what some of the trainees did. Ivypool for example, as much as I love her, she did murder other cats, and even tried to kill Flametail at one point. Sure she was doing it to keep her cover, but to Breezpelt, and other cats, she was "evil". Trying to kill Flametail, killing Antpelt twice, and even kicking Beetlewhisker's dead body. She had them fooled, sure, but it doesn't change what she did even if it was for a different cause. Morally what she did was wrong, but it was for the sake of her clan. Even if she was a hero her clan still treated her poorly, along with the other cats that chose their clan over them.
Breezepelt, imo, I feel it's similar. His life, lets be honest, wasn't the best. His father neglected him, which made his mother into a helicopter parent, and then, like I said before, he gets lured into the Dark Forest, etc. He never really got a chance to prove himself tbh. Imo like the other trainees, he deserves a second chance, at least now he does, because there's no point in kicking him out now. I want to see how the Erins will handle his character. I also think what Onestar did was understandable, after a war like that they were vulnerable and needed warriors to look strong, so of course he'd make up excuses to defend Breezepelts actions. And even then, there wasn't much evidence against his past actions too.
