I'm here! Sorry, that took soooo long. Don't blame you if you left. cx As far as starting goes, how would a little novice trainer end up in the presence of the Sinnoh champion~? Maybe they're at an event or something and Battlefront Aurora crashes it?

[ this is gonna ruin my PI rank but oh well Anyways, either that, or my lil champ can be new to the region, and maybe they have like a buddy system for traveling (it could be a new found rule/law) because of the newly found Battlefront Aurora? But either idea works for me! I'm just gonna creat my character (I'll give him a faceclaim instead of actually describing him, since I'm kinda lazy) Edit ;; did you want to add in mega evolutions? But keep it so that you can only mega evolve one Pokémon a battle, but have as many mega evolutions as you want?
Ryan Summers | 18 Years Old | Trainer | Champion of Sinnoh Ryan looks a heck of a lot like Ki Hong Lee, but with glasses perched nicely on the bridge of his nose. He started training with his Pokémon since the age of ten, but his partner has always been his Umbrian, who he evolved from an eevee. Eevee was his very first Pokémon, a gifted egg from his father. He hatched the egg which gave him his best friend. Ryan worked as hard as possible, growing up in Sinnoh, until he was about 15, when he finally beat Cynthia, the Pokémon League champion. Since he is still on his journey, he hasn't been home to challenge very many trainers for the place as champion. Ryan is kind-hearted, loyal and gentle. He loves helping, and he enjoys coming up with strategies. Occasionally, he'll participate in Pokémon contests, finding them rather beautiful and fun. He is stubborn, and quite hard to anger, but when he is, he snaps and holds a sharp tongue. He hates ignorance. Ryan still has many things to find out about himself and his Pokémon, but he's still pushing on. [ Umbreon ; male ] - [ move list here ] [ Empoleon ; male ] - [ move list here ] [ Pikachu ; male ] - [ move list here ] [ Charizard ; male ] - [ move list here ] [ Garchomp ; male ] - [ move list here ] (it was either garchomp or dragonite, I haven't yet decided) [ Lucario ; male ] - [ move list here ] He occasionally switches out his pikachu with a female eevee. He's training her and trying to evolve her into one of the other Eeveeloutions.
ah idk I might change his Pokémon n' stuff. ]

[ I think I'd rather go with the event thing, mainly because I like the idea of my character starting off in a random fancy event cx And meeting your character there. Maybe it could be the celebration of a major defeat of Battlefront Aurora, and then they come in like SIKE. I'd honestly rather not include mega evolution, but if you really would like to I'd be fine with it. ]
Cassie Hastings | 16 Years Old | Contest Coordinator and Novice Trainer Cassie stands at around 5'3, and has thick, wavy blonde hair that reaches her mid back, and large blue-grey eyes. Her face is between rounded and heart shaped, and she has a small, slightly rounded nose, and full pink lips (closest face claim would be Chloe Moretz). She is from Tungsten Town, a small town on the countryside where she lived with her breeder parents. She only started training two short years ago, when she was gifted an Emolga egg by her parents. She started as a contest coordinator, and after many wins she came to the conclusion that battles were really what her pokemon were itching for. She'll still compete in contests here and there, but she now challenges gyms as well, and has achieved three badges. Cassie is probably what one would call a charmer. She's charismatic and engaging, and does well at picking up on other's emotions. She uses this to her advantage, typically for the right reasons but she has a tendency to get manipulative and bossy. She's a bit demanding and likes to get her way, and though she'll generally compromise she won't go down without a fight. A romantic daydreamer, she often has her head "stuck in the clouds" and looks too deeply into things, and is a firm believer in fate. She's adventurous, daring, and isn't someone to back down from a challenge. Her headstrong and slightly reckless nature has a habit of getting her in trouble, but she'll find her way out of it....probably. [ Emolga; male ] [ Growlithe; male ] [ Munna; female ] [ Buizel; female ]
also if the age difference is too much I can make her 17, I just thought two years would be better experience-wise

[ ah alright c: we can go with your original idea then. Plus I like the idea of Battlefront Aurora coming back outta nowhere and such xD Nah, we can leave mega evolutions out c: Her age is fine! I'm not all that picky. At lease you didn't make her ten like the amines would have xD
So, do you think you could start though? I have a load of replies to do, and annotations to finish IRL and I don't want to leave you waiting so long. ]

It was a warm and sunny day in Silver City. The weather fit the cheerful atmosphere in the courtyard of the renowned Sterling Hotel. Streamers were thrown carelessly through the meticulously groomed bushes, and people crowded around round tables, enjoying drinks and conversations. Most of the people, anyways. Cassie sat on a bench with her Emolga perched next to her, holding her own drink (non-alcoholic, much to her chagrin) as her pokemon munched on a treat. The people here were out of her age range or out of her league, successful trainers and scientists and breeders, and she didn't really have anyone to talk to.
Her parents couldn't be there due to a convention they were attending in Unova—and insisted Cassie attend in their absence. No one even knows who I am, she thought and shrunk down on the bench, This is so awkward.
The celebration was to commend the victory over Battlefront Aurora at the Pokémon Lab in Tungsten Town a week ago. Many of the people in attendance were part of the group that directly went up against Battlefront Aurora, Cassie's parents included. Several people believed to be higher-ups were captured, and it was viewed as a major victory, bringing them even closer to finally ending the group that had been terrorizing the region for over a year.
Cassie yawned and turned to watch her Buizel splashing in the fountain with other water types. At least someone's having fun.

Akos region, what a beautiful sight. At least, Ryan believed it to be. He had just arrived a day or two ago, but hadn't yet begun his journey through the cities. He was staying at the Sterling Hotel for the night before he was starting his journey to the championships. Of course, if he didn't make it, he still had his title in Sinnoh. No one had challenged him yet, and Ryan was quite thankful for that. With that title though, he never boasted about it. He knew how horrible karma could be.
Umbreon, his best friend and partner since the beginning, trotted alongside Ryan as the Asian carried a drink around, trying to find a seat. His brown gaze shifted under his glasses, before landing on a female that seemed to be at the convention alone.
Ryan made his way over, lips pursed as he stopped a few inches in front of her. "Mind if I sit with you?" He didn't exactly wait for a response as he sat down. He leaned back, letting out a relaxed sigh as Umbreon sat in between his feet, his red eyes scanning the area. "I'm Ryan, by the way. But what's this convention for? I know a guy or two said it was for the victory against Battlefront Aurora... But whats that?" Ryan question, sipping his drink slowly, his gaze casting a friendly look at Cassie.
He sure wasn't from here, of course. He was born and raised in Sinnoh. He just hoped that his title hadn't come this far to a new region.

[ finally home from work ~ ]
"Not at all," Cassie replied a little too eagerly, glad to have someone finally acknowledge her existence. Emolga scooted closer to his trainer, practically laying in her lap. He looked up at Ryan with large and curious dark grey eyes, then turned to Umbreon and grinned. "Emo emo!" He chirped in greeting.
Cassie patted her Emolga's head and was caught off guard by Ryan's question. She turned to face him, "You really don't know who they are?" Something about this guy looked familiar, but she was certain she had never met him before, so she brushed it off as her imagination. Besides that, she realized how her exclamation was almost rude. She also took note of how many people from other regions stayed at the Sterling.
"Umm..." she began, a little embarrassed, "They're an evil group that's been stealing pokemon in Akos for a while. Honestly, I don't know much about them either, other than that. Anyways, they tried to steal a lot of rare pokemon from the lab in Tungsten Town a few weeks ago and this party is to celebrate defeating them."
She pretended to toast her glass and blinked in remembrance, "Oh! And I'm Cassie."
