Do they know about shells? Shellheart's name has the prefix but otherwise that is the only mention of shells.
So, if they know about shells, how come they aren't mentioned more often or used at all?
And if they don't, then how do you think they would react to this?

And if they don't, then how do you think they would react to this? Riverclan collects shells and uses them for decoration. Riverclan basically likes anything shiny or pretty like feathers , pebbles and shells. They also might use them for storing stuff such as poppyseeds could be put in a shell or a pebble could be used as a paperweight.

I'm pretty sure they do know what shells are, I don't see why they wouldn't and it's also mentioned that RiverClan even collects them to decorate their nests and some other things too. Just the fact that it's been used as a name at all should say something and just because it's only been used once doesn't mean they don't know what they are. They should know what fruit are after all, since there are a bunch of cats named after them.

What doesn't make sense to me is how they know of cherries tbh but maybe their is a herb called cherry or flower called cherry.

Cherries are a fruit just like berries (they tend to be classified as fruit anyway), so it's possible it's used for medicine and cherries could also refer to cherry blossoms. Both grow in England, which is where the setting for the first arc is based on while the new territories are completely fictional. That said, it's possible that cats have encountered cherries before and the same goes for other fruits as well.

Supposedly, we're Twolegs and the Clan cats have no contact with us. Then how do we know what the Twoleg name for a fruit is. It all just makes no sense in general.

Well as we know there was a cougar in the New prohechy arc so I somewhat believe there might be an american connection and cherries do grow in upper america such as Washington and Oregon.

Yes, but it was confirmed that the new territories aren't based on any particular region, or at least that wasn't the intention anyway.

Maybe the Erins just... didn't do their research? cx Huh of course they didn't. I mean they take stuff like tortie toms and make them seek like they are healthy and strong when in real nature a tortie tom would be sickly all his life. And lets not forget about eye opening , kit steps and even the actul bone devolempent of cats.
