Honestly all the negativity has got to me. I posted a controversial thread yesterday, but I was forced to report it because people were basically bashing each other for having a differing opinions on the whole thing.
Maybe you saw that thread, but either way, I do admit that I probably shouldn't have posted it and I should've seen this coming. Well I didn't so here we are.
Maybe I will leave instead of taking a break, maybe this community is just not the right one for me. I always had a bit of a problem to associate myself with it.
I'm probably gonna just take a break for a few days and then come back. I really shouldn't have posted it, with people literally saying that these threads tell them who to avoid. And I get where they are coming from, but still... It's really disrespectful.
I have absolutely nothing against the people that disagree with me if they don't push it either way.

I think I know the thread you're referring to and honestly, whether it was a joke or not shouldn't matter. It was still in really poor taste imo and I'm not surprised so many were offended or that PewDiePie was apparently dropped, even if he did apologize and accepted the consequences. He should've thought of them beforehand. Anything can be said as joke, but not everything will be funny to everyone, especially when it comes to controversial topics like the one PewDiePie made, or tried to anyway. Honestly, I never really cared for him, but I can see why the topic would spark debate.
Sorry about that, just thought I'd say my two cents on the issue and I hope you can respect my opinion.
But anyway, I understand why you feel the need to take break though. Take as much time as you need and hopefully things will have calmed down at least a bit by the time you come back.

๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ท๐พ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ตI do respect your opinion indeed. You're probably one of the most respectable people on this forum. Like I said, I understand where people are coming from by saying "these are the people I should avoid" but it's incredibly disrespectful - your personal characer is insulted because you view things in a different way. It's one's right to be offended but some people just take it too far.

On the other hand though, you did create a topic regarding the PewDiePie thing and agreeing with it. The title of the thread probably didn't help and that would of course send a wrong message to people, especially for those living in the U.S. with a President who's even more controversial than some YouTuber. In short, it gives off a disturbing vibe if that makes sense, especially since WW2 really wasn't all too long ago and Jews have been targets of prejudice literally for centuries (though the same could be said for other minorities as well), 2016 was just a rotten year for many, and don't even get me started on the terror attacks in general. People are afraid. That's not to say I agree with the comment, I'm just trying to say that I'm not surprised. I hope I didn't come off as too harsh.

I understand, but most people that were debating on that side were more civil that were arguing against pewdiepie in this. You aren't the first one to actually call me out on the title and looking back, I should've chosen something else.

I never saw the post, but I'm sorry its hurt you like this. I hope you have a nice break and feel better soon. Sometimes people on here get carried away with their opinions. I normally try to stay out of that sort of thing.
