You can now order VoS #3: Shattered Sky on Amazon and HarperCollins! Here's the blurb: ShadowClan has fallen. A group of rogues now rules the pine forest, and their cruel leader, Darktail, will not stop until he has conquered the rest of the Clans. Alderheart is more certain than ever that their only hope is to find the lost SkyClan and fulfill StarClan’s prophecy—before Darktail’s vicious reign puts an end to the warrior Clans forever.
Full of epic adventure and thrilling intrigue, this fifth Warriors series is the perfect introduction for readers new to the Warriors world—while for dedicated fans, it’s a long-awaited return to the era of Bramblestar’s ThunderClan, after the events of Omen of the Stars.
LEGENDS OF THE CLANS is also out; the new novella pack. Three novellas featuring the cats of Erin Hunter’s #1 bestselling Warrior series—available only in this collection! In Warriors: Legends of the Clans, experience three stand-alone, never before published adventures from the Warriors world:
Spottedleaf’s Heart: Young apprentice Spottedpaw is determined to become a warrior...until she realizes that to save her Clan, she must become its next medicine cat.
Pinestar’s Choice: Discover what drove Pinestar, once leader of ThunderClan, to abandon the warrior code, betray his Clan, and become a kittypet.
Thunderstar’s Echo: In the earliest days of ThunderClan, its first leader faces down a new threat—and forges a new tradition for all the warrior Clans.
The two books will be on sale April 11th.

Yeah... wasn't the idea that Spottedleaf was destined to be a medicine cat? Maybe I'm thinking of a different cat.

Reading that blurb for Thunderstar's Echo I'm thinking we will see Lightning Tail die and Thunder starting the tradition of deputies and them becoming leader afterwards.

The blurb for the next VoS book has me super excited, but I really don't think newcomers to the series should start at VoS...they will be super confused, and if they ever want to read the previous books, pretty much everything is spoiled. So I don't really agree with them there.
Also with Spottedleaf's novella...why does it seem like almost every medicine cat ever always starts off wanting to be a warrior, but by some circumstance they "have" to be a medicine cat? I feel like the Erins use that trope too much :/.
But other than that, they look great! I'm excited.

Spotted~Fire, Yellow~Ragged, Cinder~Fire, Leaf~Crow, Jay~Half. What's up with that? I'll tell you: the Erins can't get enough drama into their books.

That's very true...I never really thought of that before. Personally I thought the Erins would get rid of the "medicine cats can't have mates" deal but I guess not. Also I'm assuming you're reading VoS but I honestly thought Alder and Needle was gonna be a thing and I was like please no.

don't forget Leaf~crow in that long list of thunderclan medicine cats with love interests. It's certainly strange and, in my opinion, dumb. Gotta have at least one medicine cat that actually does what they're supposed to do.

Gotta admit that the VoS book kinda sounds interesting.
The novellas though? Boring. Especially the Spottedleaf one. Keep reusing "oh I wanna be a warrior but dang I have to be a medicine cat" plot, Erins. I'm sure that will work out great for you.

Spottedleaf and Pinestar seem pretty interesting, but I'm not sure if Pinestar would be able to span a whole SE.... It seems more like a short we'd find in a guidebook or something. A few chapters, maybe; but not a huge 400-500 pager.
