Anyone here like to write their own mangas? I do I have five going at once but putting my focuse into one right now. Where does your inspiration come from when making them? I get my best ideas for mangas from my dreams. They are a bit crazy but the standout ones are great and I can remember most details but names(people and places mainly when talking about names). |

I'm thinking about it
I have panels sketched and plot points for the first part and a half as well as a good world to do it all in
but I don't have the time to actually put into making a manga/gn
and I can't decide if I want to make it in color or keep it more grayscale
so yes and no

I see for me I'm no good at drawing so when I get all the words if I want to take it farther I would have to get someone who can draw. Bringing in someone would not be so bad a out side person could say if their is something wrong since I make it it's hard for me to scale how good it is.

I've written short manga strips. But I've never actually went and done actual series. My motivation can't stay standing for long periods of time....

Oh? What where they about? Did you find anything hard about making them?
If I've said it before then I'll say it again just in case for me the hardest part is dates and names. I like to use unique names and names that are not used a lot in most mangas. As for the dates until I settle on some I do what they do in some like Fairy Tail where they use "XX/XX/XXXX" as the date and just fill in like the month or the day.

I like making little shorts with my OCs. It's usually just a trivial encounter.... Nothing for dates though. If I did need to mention the day, I might say something like "the day before" and "today". Time is relative, so dates don't really mean too much for me unless I want to ground it in reality. I'm interested in seeing your stuff, actually. It looks like you have legit stories going on.... Maybe you could....post....a small bit of it here? (Of course, you don't have to. Sorry.) |

Ya I could I'm still in the middle of a war one that I'm working on I only have a few names for it mainly the main characters (heroes and vileans). It's the people who only make like a one time seen that I have trouble with the most. I wold like to also do my fan fics as well but the mangas take up a good bit of time writing them.

I don't make any mangas myself, but I would love to. I would probably start with short strips with characters, like Redfleck, so I can get into the feel of making it. Then I would have to actually come up with a good story and setting and characters. I don't think I'm dedicated enough to do it right now, but one day. Like I said, I can start with little short story things.
Also, if you happen to post anything on these forums I would love to look at it!

For me it was doing fan fics on my own. Then I get pretty interesting dreams. They give me my stories i just fill in the details like names places and times.
Actually I almost have one journal done with my first one that I have been working on. When it is complete is when I'll be posting it. I get ideas as well from books and other things I read or watch in fact I love doing spin off for a better ending it I don't like the ending to things my first one was Digimon her name was/is Gotamoona. I still use her a bit.
