Dropletleaf opens her jaws to reply, then smells the scent of fox. She flexes her claws into the earth, a quiet growl building in her throat.

Echofeather hissed, peering into the bushes. She saw a bit of red fur through the leaves.

Dropletleaf tensed, spotting bright scarlet fur through the densely woven undergrowth. She dug her claws into the ground hard, ready to release a growl. She steadied her tail for extra balance.

"...Yea. Everyone stay on guard!" She said watching the bush as her ears swiveled around listening to the grass surrounding her and the group.

Dropletleaf quietly moved around making a circling motion with her tail. This meant to surround the fox. She, herself started to pad quietly over to the other side of the small area.

Echofeather took a threatening step towards the bush. "If you don't leave, you'll be crowfood!" she spat, but she knew the fox couldn't understand cat words.

Dusty looked around listening to the grass sway and move in the gentle breeze.
Ashfire pushed her tail to Echofeathers mouth. "Shh! Please, Dropletleaf please stay close for all we know its a mother with kits, and a mother will attack more viciously if her kits are involved we have to chase them out not attack." She asked, "Make noise and fluff your fur make yourselves look bigger if its a mother she more likely to back off..."

Dropletleaf ignores the fact that her fur is bristling along her spine. She nods, reluctantly. Taking slow, stealthy paw steps, she moves in closer to the rest of the patrol.

Echofeather backed up a little. She let her fur bristle and her tail fluff out. "Out of my territory, fur-face!" she hissed. "You're lucky she stopped me!"

Dropletleaf tapped Echofeather's head with her tail. Once the warrior was looking, she shook her head. Then, she looked for Ashfire.

Briarclaw followed his deputies order and fluffed his fur out.

Dropletleaf was tired of standing around. Just plain tired. Rearing up, she used her hind legs to leap through the undergrowth. She let loose the fearsome grol that had been lodged in her throat as she raked her claws across it's eyes. Ti fought back, taking a huge paw and swiping her out of the air easily. Dropletleaf landed with a sickening thunk. Trying to get uo again, she felt a small pain in her tail. Ignoring it, she leaped onto the fox's back and hung on for dear life.

Dropletleaf clawed it's ears. The fox roared and swiped at Gorsefang, then kept up trying to throw her. Dropletleaf's tail swung wildly as she fought for balance. She let go of her hold for one minute to get a better grip, that was a mistake. The fox took this as an opportunity. He threw her off his back. Dropletleaf wasn't as lucky as last time. This time she hit a tree. Agony coursed through her shoulder as the world started to go black.

Echofeather forgot about orders. She forgot about her surroundings. She forgot about the cats around her. She lunged at the fox and raked her claws down its side. Her fur bristled as she hissed, "Don't mess with my clanmates, fox-heart!"

Dropletleaf felt weightless, just drifting around in the space of her subconsciousness. Her head hurt, as well as everything else in her body. Agony was as painful as ever.

Bramblehawk watched from the distance but made sure her scent wasn't blowing towards hers. She watched with slightly narrowed eyes. She wondered if she would be a threat to her clan. |

Echofeather raced to Dropletleaf when the fox wasn't looking. Her rage washed away as she saw her hurt clanmate. "Dropletleaf?" she said. "Are you hurt? Can you see me?"
