(( Hey I'm new here! I hope you guys don't mind if I jump in! Rainpaw needs a mentor so if anyone wants to volunteer I would very much appreciate it. ))
Rainpaw stretched her limbs, feeling restless after tending to the elders for so long. She twitched the dew from her whiskers and cleaned her front paws before grumbling complaints to herself. Rainpaw's gaze wandered over the camp, thought it seemed rather empty. Was everyone out on patrol? Without her?
Flicking her tail with annoyance at not being invited along already, she bounded over to where Creamfur was standing with a couple other cats.
"What's going on? Are you guys going on a patrol?" Rainpaw asked, trying to keep the eagerness from her voice.

Daffodilstar jumped onto the rock where she gathered the Clan. "Let all cats gather for a Clan meeting!" She was excited to name Rainkit as an apprentice.

Creamfur heard his sister's call and turned to Swandust "We'd better stay for the ceremony before patrolling." He searched her eyes carefully, trying to read her thoughts.

Rainkit stepped out of the gorse, her whiskers prickling with excitement as she heard Daffodilstar's call to attention. She was going to become an apprentice! She bounded over the rock where the rest of the Clan was starting to gether, all but climbing to the top as she stopped at the very base. She looked up at Daffodilstar with admiration and eagerness. One day, she might even be the one at the top of that rock, calling the Clan to gather, she thought. She heard her mother's voice in the back of her mind, telling her to take things one step at a time, but how could she do that now? It was her apprentice ceremony!
Light filtered through the trees, and Rainkit noticed that a lot of the Clan didn't seem to be around. Her whiskers drooped with disappointment. She wanted everyone to be there to see her apprentice ceremony. It was important! She tried to shake her disappointment away, flicking her tail and flattening a tuft of fur on her chest.

Sparrowleap quickly entered camp, padding over to sit under the large rock with excited eyes. She remembered how excited she was on her apprentice ceremony with a small smile and turned her attention to the nervous Rainkit.
Mallowbreeze wondered if she should actually come out of her den or just sit by the entrance and watch. She gave a small sigh and stopped her herb sorting, leaving her work to go watch.

Creamfur saw the kit come out. "Rainkit! Good luck!" He was excited to see who would mentor the apprentice.
Daffodilstar smiled encouragingly at Rainkit. "You'll do great!" She whispered under her breath when she drew close to him.

Creamfur saw other cats calling out to support the kit during his ceremony. I hope Rainkit is comfortable with all of the attention! He scanned the crowd for cats that could be mentors. Maybe Fernshade? Or Brightpath?
(Who wants to mentor Rainkit? Let me know.)
Daffodilstar would've been pacing if she was in the privacy of her den. She had forgotten to plan the mentors, and besides that, this was her first time performing an apprentice ceremony. Instead, she was putting on a fake grin. No one seemed to suspect that it was fake, they were all just too excited for an apprentice--to be, well, apprenticed.

Daffodilstar raised her muzzle as the sun started its descent. "Rainkit, please step forward." She scanned the crowd and saw Dewleaf watching the ceremony, a friendly gleam in her eye. She's the one! Relief settled over her and she started to enjoy the ceremony.
Creamfur saw his sister's gaze rest on Dewleaf. Catching her eye, he mouthed, Dewleaf for mentor? His sister hesitated, then gave the smallest nod. Excitement settled over him as he watched Rainkit.

Rainkit puffed up her chest with pride, waiting for her leader to finally apprentice her.
Get on with it, she thought, immediately hearing her mother's voice scolding her for being rude.
She looked around, scanning the warriors. Who was going to be her mentor? She followed Daffodilstar's gaze to Dewleaf. She wondered if Dewleaf would be a good mentor.
