Because Harry Potter is A+ but I kinda want more of a low key one with an easy plot. I was thinking {insert magical creature} is on the loose and students have to go get the creature back. They are put into small groups and set on their way, because honestly, safety is not Hogwarts top priority. We can choose the location the beastie is in as we go. I'm thinking the Forbidden Forest or the Shrieking Shack.
In order to not complicate things, all cannon characters do not exist. Just make up names. This is also placed in a modern setting.
Welp. It's also useful if you state your character's name, year, and house in the start of your post.
Morgan - 4rd year - Hufflepuff Morgan wasn't one of those students who went crazy with their house pride, but today, he could honestly say he looked like he was going to one of the Quidditch games. It was all because of the cold. He huffed as he pulled his Hufflepuff colored scarf up to his nose, then pulled his similarly colored beany down to hide his dark brown hair and almost his ears. His golden and black cloak was held shut by his other hand. Sure, he could preform a warming spell, but he wasn't going to risk his cloak or scarf burning up. Setting himself on fire was not a good impression to make on his Care of Magical Creatures class. Though he was sure the rest of the class would find it to be hilarious. He started to descend the hills to the pastures next to the forbidden forest. His teacher, a fit, black haired women with an outgoing and fiery personality, waited at the fence as everyone started to gather. She already had her arms crossed and a set grimace on her face. A fire was burning in her brown eyes. Morgan almost turned back. Skipping class would be preferable to facing Mrs. Huntsman on a bad day. He saw the teacher glace up at the hill and he sighed. There was no escaping her now. The Hufflepuff started his descent down the hill.

Margaret "Peggy" | Fourth Year | Ravenclaw
Already at the front, book in one hand and quill in the other, Peggy stood at the ready, excited for her class. As a rising star on the Ravenclaw quidditch team, Peggy proudly wore her scarf and even had a bright blue ribbon in her hair. Laughing at something a fellow Ravenclaw said, Peggy's eyes fell on the poor Hufflepuff that the class was waiting on. Knowing that their Professor, Mrs. Huntsman was a ruthless woman when it came to tardies, Peggy's strong Irish accent quickly broke the tense silence. "Mrs. Huntsman, did you know that during the holiday, I studied with Newt Scamander? Himself and my father were very good friends so Newt was happy to teach me everything he knows." While she was a brilliant student, Peggy was often mistake as a Gryfinndor for her courage. Glancing back at the boy, she tugged at the tips of her red hair that just reached the middle of her back and added, "He even let me ride a Thunderbird. You don't suppose we'll be riding any tamer creatures such as a hippogriff, do you ma'am?"

Morgan was glad for the distraction, but Mrs. Huntsman's eyes seemed to narrow even more and her lips grew into more of a line. Good news, as far a Morgan could tell, her anger didn't seem directed at anyone. Bad news, as far as Morgan could tell, her anger was directed at everyone. "I am sorry to say, we will not be riding any hippogriffs today, Ms. Margaret. Someone left the hippogriff's pasture open." Her voice was loud and had an edge to it like everyone had conspired against her to let the hippogriff out. Morgan peered around the women to see that, indeed, the gate was wide open. His blue eyes grew and he looked back at his teacher. The women seemed more calm now, though her voice still had the sharp edge. "I wouldn't normally say this, but I'm glad Merlin had a broken wing. It means he didn't get far. Everyone come get a couple of rodents from the pile and then spread out. Remain in groups but make sure they are small. If I see even one student slacking off, I will give you all detention." Morgan quickly made his way up to the box with the rest of the students.

Carefully picking the small mouse up, Peggy smiled and softly cooed a hello to the rodent. Turning to find her friends, she noticed the Hufflepuff again and sighed softly in thought before walking over to the boy. "Morgan right?" She asked, smiling softly. "You're in my potions class as well, and I've noticed you sometimes hanging out around the quidditch field when Ravenclaw is practicing. I'm Peggy."

Morgan had just picked up a dead ferret when Peggy spoke to him. Needless to say, this was not how he wanted to meet anyone for the first time. Especially one of the quidditch players who had caught him around the field. Luckily for him, Peggy didn't seem to hold it against him. Some of the other players were a bit more suspicious and thought that he might be trying to spy on them. He smiled weakly. "Hello." He said, "Thanks for before. My cat was sleeping on my scarf and wouldn't get off. She's a Maine Coon so when she wants to stay in a stop, she will." He felt like she deserved an explanation after facing Mrs. Huntsmen for him.

"Oh it's fine, my tabbie at home, Louie, sleeps in my truck which makes packing a hassle." Glancing over at her teacher she said in a low tone, "I just don't like bullies and Mrs. Huntsman tends to be one at times. She's quite a lovely woman outside of class, I suspect she doesn't like her job too well."

Morgan felt relief that someone understood the struggle. Though he didn't quite agree that Mrs, Huntsmen was a bully. She just seemed strict. "I have a feeling she just doesn't like kids. Some of the older students told me she's nicer in the advanced classes." He said in a low tone. He shared a quick smile that disappeared as fast as it came. "Well, we better split to find the hippogriff before Mrs. Huntsmen flays us."

Laughing, Peggy was quick to turn to her teacher and shout, "Mrs. Huntsman, may I use my broom? I'm quite a fair flyer, and logically speaking a bird's eye view could help." That and she was itching to practice a few tight turns before the match today.

"That would not be acceptable, Mrs. Margaret. I'm not the flying teacher so I can not allow you to fly." The teacher explained. She seemed a lot more calm, or at least that or she was hiding her anger now. Morgan wasn't the best at being a people person. "Though I do wish you luck in your future games." She said before turning back to moderator the younger kids. Morgan didn't say anything through the conversation and busied himself with looking around. "That was a good idea." He offered.
