Tawnypaw yawned and stretched. He was promptly knocked over by hissing Blackpaw who jumped on his back. Tawnypaw rolled over.
"See, I have you this time!" Blackpaw exclaimed. Tawnypaw sighed.
"It's too early for this." The tom said. Mintleaf walked by.
"Maybe you two should find your mentors instead of rolling around in camp." She said gently.

Snowtiger grabbed a small mouse from the freshkill pile. After enjoying the midday sun while eating, he stretched and looked around to see if he was needed for a patrol.

Nightstorm approached the fresh-kill pile, where Onyxwind and Tinypaw stood. He dipped his head to the deputy in greeting without acknowledging the apprentice. He sat down, his tail wrapped around his paws.
"Onyxwind," his deep voice rumbled. "The RippleClan cats might try something funny, especially with tensions rising." His amber eyes narrowed to slits at the thought. Onyxwind almost jumped at this, but gave a curt nod. "I agree. I think we should make sure no RippleClan members stray along our border, so our border patrols should keep a close watch." He mewed, shaking out his fur. His head was swirling with nervous thoughts, as he didn't usually talk about these things much. Well... Maybe that would change soon. |

"Are there currently any border patrols out?" Nightstorm nodded towards the camp entrance. "Maybe we should organise one." If I find any RippleClan cats pushing their boundaries, I'll rip them to pieces, he added silently. Though he did enjoy peace, he would never let any pesky cat leave ThicketClan's territory without a few wounds.

"As long as the cat's ready for a potential fight," Nightstorm shrugged. He didn't really know who to ask along- he never really bothered to make many close friends. He gave his chest fur a few licks. "We better ask a few warriors."

Onyxwind nodded, still looking around for possible candidates. "Acornpaw would need the experience, and...." He began to mew, thinking of anyone who would like to join. "Honestly, there are a lot of cats in camp.We could bring a warrior or two." He added with a small sneeze. "Oops, I'm really sorry." Way to embarrass yourself, Onyxwind!!

{ Does RipplwClan know about this? I have no problems with it, as long as it's okay with the other border patrol. I can send Specklefoot and maybe Cinderstar, along with Acornpaw. She needs the experience. }
(Ahh I'm not sure about that, maybe we'll get their acknowledgement before we assume there's going to be a battle? Otherwise, we can just not encounter them at all.)
(EDIT: Also sorry White, I just realised I typo'd Nightstorm's age, he's 50 moons instead of 60.) |
