A few years back in WCF, I created a "Forum Hotline" thread that consisted of people advertising their role-plays.
It was similar to a "Telaphone Hotline" where you call, ask for what you are looking for, then get redirected to the "exact" if not best description of interest.

I had it in OTD and Warriors Misc.
How I ran it was four posts that were made by myself, then people would fill out the aplication then reply to the thread. I would then add it to the first post and then add it again; somewhere between the second - fourth post under its genre type category.

It was popular for almost two years, the mods were okay with it because it was a dedicated "directory" for other threads. it made finding role-plays a bit more easier with so many options and so on so forth.

This also included myself constantly revising the thread because content creators may update links, update descriptions or anything that comes to mind.

If your idea is something of the sort then I wouldn't see an issue with it.
OTD or Warriors Misc would be your best options; depending on the content you wish to organize.
