"Well then we should find another aisle that heads that way," The Master snapped right back, turning over his shoulder to give Oliver a glare. There had to be one eventually, right? It was only logical, even if he couldn't see it yet. Though most of the time, due to the uneven nature of the walls, he never saw the passages before they were right upon them. A lot of them were very small too, so he wasn't too worried, not yet. They'd find a way back soon enough. [[ i mean, they could try to find a passage, if they can't climb the walls. ]]
---
"No, they don't have any other weaknesses," The Doctor replied with a shake of his head, "have you ever tried to get rid of a shadow? It's not like you can stomp on it." His voice wasn't angry, just scared. Everyone got a little bit snippy when they were scared, didn't they? "I would suggest running, but in our current conditions, I'd say either one of us would be liable to trip." He was still shaky, and he knew that Myrnin had to be. He could see it. ( *shrugs* Sure. Might allow them to touch the walls soon. Just wanted to add some trouble.) "Before or after we end up killing each other?" muttered the vampire under his breath. He walked for another five minutes before he finally spotted a turn off. When he saw it, he muttered under his breath again. The passage was so small, they would have to turn sideways to get through it. The vampire glared at it a couple seconds longer, then sighed. "Best I could hope for, really." He took a step back and gave a mock bow. "Annoy aliens first." -- "Might have to try running," pointed out Myrnin. "If it comes down to it, we're dead either way." The vampire didn't sound scared, but you could see it in his eyes. He once again tried to open his hand, since the light would be stronger if his fingers weren't in the way, but still no luck. "This may be the one and only time I wished for sunlight," he muttered. He pointed to a small space between the shadows that were closing in. "That way. Best chance." [[ okay! ]]
"I wasn't planning on killing you," The Maser chirped, stopping and turning as he heard Oliver stopped. He must've missed the passage as he'd been fantasizing about strangling the life out of the vampire. He was a bit of a liar sometimes. But, despite the anger boiling in his stomach, he gave a mocking bow in return, and then began to scoot down the passageway. He was so short and stick thin that he probably could've walked front ways if he'd squeezed his shoulders in and walked one foot in front of another, but the scooting sideways was quite a bite easier.
---
The Doctor grimaced, but then gave a quick nod. He stopped for a moment, shifting from foot to foot, before nodding again like he was trying to convince himself. "Geronimo!" he suddenly shouted, an odd quirk of his, and launched forward, doing a half-hop, half-run sort of thing as he sped down the passageway of light, screwdriver still in front of him. He hoped Myrnin wouldn't slip. He quite liked the vampire.

He tugged as the collar around his neck and it came of easily. He had figured as much. It must have been set on a time limit. He had to turn sideways and stop breathing to make his way through the narrower parts of the passage. This meant he couldn't really talk through most of this. "Say something if it gets wider," the vampire said when he reached a slightly wider part. This was going to get old fast. -- Myrnin did his best to blur into vampire speed, but he still was having trouble getting all his normal functions back. Instead, he manged a little faster than normal run. Stumbling twice was the only reason he didn't end up passing the Doctor. He also held his own light item up, waiting to see how the shadows would react to the two men's sudden movement.

The Master didn't think to check his. He wormed down the passage for a good thirty seconds more before, suddenly, he turned so his back was facing Oliver, and exclaimed, "Something!" He tore off, the space big enough for him to be running at a sprint now, though no end to it was in sight. It made him happy, to know that he could run, but the vampire couldn't get past him without having to touch the burning piles. Sucker. Ha, sucker. Literally.

It was like running in between two somewhat invisible walls. You could still see a faint impression of them, but it was going to hurt if you touched them. Or, that was what The Doctor thought as he dashed through the passageway that the microscopic creatures made for them. At one point, the shoulder pad of his blazer touched at them, and with a loud buzzing sound, the fabric disappeared. Thankfully for him, the skin underneath was unharmed, but his hearts hammered painfully. There had to be an end to them somewhere. What had Sable done, dumped a cage full of them into the place?

mintedstar/fur AuranskySnake looked at the others for a moment, then looked at the creepy bird. "We are also fine with running. Says Keats," he said softly, trying not to get the creature's attention. He slowly made his way over towards them. -- @ everyone (This is probably a late post) Noé looked over at Quote with a frown. He couldn't imagine choosing the Freedom route, but he guessed everyone had their own reasons. "Anyways now that we have this new information, what should we do? Should we look for Sable's Life or Freedom first?"

Auransky broken Sally, using a touch of vampire speed, ran after him, glowing blue chains still in her hands. She didn't exactly know what they could be used for, but clearly they were magical. The ghostly bird seemed to still be paying attention to the surrounding items, tearing them to shreds. Sally looked back, checking to make sure Snake was still okay. "Can you keep up?" she hissed, slowing to ask. Lelouch seemed capable of getting out of trouble, but Sally hadn't gotten as good a read of Snake's characteristics as she had on the prince.

mintedstar/fur, AuranskySnake was the last one to take off after them, but he was still able to keep up relatively well. Especially since they were just running straight. The hybrid just simply nodded st what Sally asked, but then realized that she probably couldn't see him, so he said a soft and simple, "yes." He looked over his shoulder at the creature, not understanding how the thing didn't see the,. They were making enough noise just by running. He looked forward again, dodging a few stray items here and there.

There was a small widening in the path they were running along, and the Time Lord broke into a full on sprint, the assault with the sonic screwdriver proving useless enough for him to give it.

Myrnin didn't even have time to blink as something brighter than even a spotlight flared. He covered his eyes and rolled into a ball, the light killing his eyes. But he couldn't help smiling, even as his eyes watered.

But he couldn't help smiling, even as his eyes watered. "Will you stop saying Koschei?" The Master barked, finally. It had been pushing his buttons since The Doctor had started saying it, but now that Oliver somehow thought he had the right to use it... well, it peeved him off, to put it tamely. He didn't turn though; he just kept marching on, nearly bristling in indignation as he ground his teeth together, to stop himself from saying something that he knew he'd regret saying. He knew Oliver would keep doing it, so he would try to be civil, and explain why he didn't like it. The Doctor, as much as he despised him most of the time, would want that. "Where The Doctor and I are from, you have two names. One of them you never speak to anyone except, say, your spouse. Your parents know it, of course, but no one else does. You have another name, Koschei for instance, that is for your siblings, parents, kids, and close friends to use. And, if you so chose, a third name, like The Master, that you want to mean something, that's used publicly." The Master doesn't mean 'Master' in Gallifreyan, the word translate to something like 'ambition' or 'someone with a goal.' So, stop saying Koschei before I rip your tongue out, Ollie."
---
The Doctor covered his own eyes with his coattail, closing them as light flooded the area, and the shadows were dispersed with an audible whoosh. "Myrnin!" he called, not moving his coat, but scooting forward, "Myrnin, I don't have my senses, I can't hear or smell you, say something!" Had the vampire tripped? Had the creatures eaten him and caused the light to fall out of his hand? The idea made his stomach clench, but he continued to edge forward, feeling for flesh or bone with the tips of his boots. He could still see the light through his eyelids as he scooted towards the area where he'd heard Myrnin last, trying to pick up a smell or hear something, but whatever damper was on them was still working.

He could still see the light through his eyelids as he scooted towards the area where he'd heard Myrnin last, trying to pick up a smell or hear something, but whatever damper was on them was still working. Oliver smiled smugly. That had satisfied him far to much. Though pushing the Master's buttons had never really been hard. A rather distasteful similarity between them. But he said nothing on the matter, neither say he would or would not. He simply was silent. Unlike Myrnin, who would supply random information at any given time, Oliver chose his words with care and only when it was needed. Myrnin would have shared the fact that vampires didn't use their last names, letting them being eaten by the past, and only those with equally long histories knew them. Oliver didn't know Myrnin's or the Founder's, but Myrnin knew them all. But he didn't say that. He didn't say anything for a long time in fact. Finally, he said, "Ollie isn't necessary. Oliver will do. Oliver Cromwell." It was the closest thing the Master would ever get to Oliver's respect. ( O.O My, my. That is a surprising turn for Oliver. Rare...) -- Vampires and light didn't mix at all. Myrnin was in pain, as well as being near the piles of junk that could still burn you. He opened his mouth, saying, "I'm alive, if that's what your asking. I can't really tell if all my fingers are still there or not, however. At least I'm not a new vampire. Light, you know." That was the best he could mange. He remembered when he'd been imprisoned in that underground cell. Well, more like an old well. Ever day, the sun would blaze down through the silver bares over the top. The inch high water the only relief. He had had to climb out of there on his own, since none of his...friends...could find him. Friends...he'd forgotten that. He hadn't been in the best frame of mind back then. Half caught in the past, the other half trying to find a way to escape and warn the Founder of the danger. The light didn't dim, but Myrnin uncurled to the best of his abilities. He wasn't wearing gloves, so he had to bundle up his sleeves and he tried to keep his head down as much as possible. At least it wasn't sunlight, but even strong, unnatural light hurt. "I'm over here," he said. "Are those shadow things dead yet?"

Its wings had to knock over a few more items before it could do anything more, then it took off, flying low over the walls of items, sometimes knocking into them or causing a sort of domino effect sometimes. "This place isn't made for large creatures," Sally muttered under her breath, swiftly having to dodge one of the falling piles. She looked up, not liking that she might have to do something. She had been hoping that they could get away without having to engage it. "Lelouch!" she shouted. "Snake!" She needed to know where they were.

"Oliver Cromwell," The Master spoke, nodding to himself. He, for awhile, didn't say anything else as well. They weaved through the piles of junk, and he wasn't as in a hurry as he had been, occasionally stopping to touch something feathery or silky, though it rejected his touch with that burning, or to study a design. Eventually, they did come out into a bigger passage, and the Time Lord looked back and forth. There was no marker as to what side of the blockage they were on, but as he looked to the left, he saw a... a light, emitting from over some of the piles. "What's that?" he asked, pointing with a spindly finger, "mayest it be a beacon from thine friends?" He smiled, maybe a genuine one, before starting to walk in that direction.
[[ yes indeed! ]]
---
"Very, very dead!" The Doctor affirmed, and as he spoke, he found Myrnin. Patting the vampire down, though he didn't check for fingers, he took off his coat and threw it over the man. "There, it's good, that should keep some of the light out. Come on." He put a hand on his back, gently, and began to guide him away from the object, eyes half-opened as he began down what he thought was the way down the hall. "This reminds me of the time I tried to have a conversation with a sentient star. Let me tell you, I could not see for a week! I mean, I didn't lose any fingers, but my friend, her name was Ace, she did have to guide me around..." He continued talking as he walked Myrnin away, eyes opening more and more, fighting off the spots of dark that the bright lights had created.

@bolderpelt "I'll hit you if you speak to me like that again," said Oliver, keeping a straight voice even as he joked. "Thine friends? Really? I lived in the 17th century, not the middle ages." "It's clearly a light," he said with more seriousness, eyes squinting almost imperceptibly. "Friends is debatable, however." Oliver didn't really think he had any friends. There were a few humans he got along with and Amelie...well, he'd started to hope there was more there than just 'got along'. He held up a hand to shield his eyes as he started to walk around the corner and in that direction.
"Ah, good." Myrnin did his best to kick out at the light, hoping to send it back into the junk pile. They'd probably never know what it had been. It skittered a few feet, but that was all. Hardly did anything really. Myrnin was grateful for the coat and used it to cover his face and head. He didn't say thanks, mostly because he forgot to. Instead he started to check that he really did have all of his fingers. He did, though the hand that had been holding the light looked like it had a bad sunburn. It was already starting to heal as they moved away from the light source. Since this was Myrnin, he listened to the Doctor ramble with intent interest, though unlike his usual self he focused all his energy on keeping the light out instead of asking questions. After a few more feet, he finally could fully open his eyes. Once Oliver and the Master came into view, he was holding out the Doctor's coat for him to take back. Myrnin looked over at the two, his face breaking into a grin. "Mister Master!" he exclaimed, with excitement. "and Ollie!" Oliver groaned and turned a murderous gaze to the Master. "If he starts calling me that..."

"Myrnin!" The Master called back, waving as he turned and just gave Oliver a big, friendly smile. As The Doctor and Myrnin got closer, he informed with a frown, "You two look terrible, and I mean that!" He looked behind them, to the shining light emitting from somewhere on the floor. He looked at it for a moment, and then to Myrnin's hand, before smiling, and saying, "I see that you got your hand free. Good job." Now, since he had still been walking, he was right upon them, holding Myrnin's hand gently in his own, to inspect it. The sunburn was just on his palm and the middles of his fingers now, so The Master let him go, not too worried. "How'd you two get over here?" The Doctor asked, tugging his jacket back on, sadly tugging at the clean cut holes in his shoulder and elbow. Oh well. "Found a path through the piles," The Master shrugged.

He'd rather not know, just like he would rather not be question on what he and the Master had done. However, it did seem like the Doctor and Myrnin had got the worst of it. Myrnin let the Master look at his hand. It was healing at a pretty good rate, already it was just the palm of his hand that was burned. "Now what do we do?" asked Myrnin, looking up from his hand. "Those Vastra N-n thingys are dead, should we be expecting anything else?" He looked around, still eyeing any prevailing shadow like it might try and eat him.

mintedstar/furLelouch had taken a liking to the fishing net, and Christmas lights. It was large and appeared sturdy, it would provide a quick escape. Though he hated running he forced himself to get further ahead. he then spotted a bottlwith what appeared to be water. He snatched it along the way. He climbed a few boxes which supported his lightness, and awaited for the thing to fly past. He was snake run past and quickly signaled to him. "Snake walk further back, and get the creatures attention. when it comes in I'll toss this fishing net on it." He instructed . When he herd Sally he wanted to shrug but held back the temptation. "Were in the next room, run past the entrance of the room and wait on the other side."

some BODYQuote began walking, following the group at a leisurely pace. He tilted his head at Noé's question. "Sable's Life is the item most people need, so we should probably find that first," he suggested. The "group players" would probably get the most use out of it. Besides, he was in no rush to find Freedom. Everyone else probably wanted to get home as soon as possible.

"I think they're all dead," he finally said, "the thing from Myrnin's hand killed them. As for anything else being here, well, we definitely should be expecting something. There has been quite a lot already, after all."

tinybreeze, broken, @bolderpelt, Kuragehime, LarkConan nodded. "Probably a better idea. The difference is, we know what Freedom looks like, but not where it is. We have a rough idea where Sable's Life is, but not what it looks like. Quite a problem, really." He had to walk a little faster to keep up with the others. Possibly one of the greatest problems with this body was that it had short legs. Couldn't he follow anyone without having to go around in a slight jog? (You now, it would be cool to have a plug-in or something that allowed you to tag a certain number of forumers with one tag. Otherwise, some BODY.)

He trotted a couple of feet forward, seeming to have regained some of his childish energy. "Wonder if Sable's been doing that or whether we've just been unlucky," wondered Myrnin. Oliver just followed in silence. He figured that Myrnin was talking enough for three people, so maybe he could leave the Time Lords and the insane vampire to it. Myrnin tilted his head in the direction of a junk pile. "Still can climb over those." He looked back, noticing something different about the Master. He paused for a second, head cocked like he couldn't quiet place what it was. "Uh...what's with the collar? You didn't have that the last time I saw you." (You wanna let them off the hook or wanna throw something else at them?)

broken AuranskySally, since it sounded like Lelouch already had a plan, followed his instructions. Well, she did for the most part. She watched the bird out of the corner of her eye, waiting to see what it would do. It seemed to have lost sight of them and, though it was heading their way, it didn't appear to be paying them any attention. "Now what?" Sally called out, though she knew she had been told to wait. She itched to move, not liking that she couldn't do something at once.

And Eleven followed after Conan. She was even taller than him, so she didn't have quite the same problem, but she was still short enough that anyone of adult height dwarfed her, since she was only twelve, and clearly quite underfed. "We could spend forever trying to find them," she commented, voice lamenting as she walked along.
---
"Hm?" The Master asked, feeling around his neck, before even remembering that it was there, "oh, that. It just appeared. Did you take yours off?" The last question was directed at Oliver, as he tugged at the thing, and it broke off in his hand, much more pliable than it had seemed before. He hummed to himself, turning it over before dropping it down to the floor of the hall.

Auransky, mintedstar/furSnake soon slowed to a stop at the door when Lelouch caught his attention and explained what he wanted to do. The hybrid, of course, didn't argue at all, just nodded. Once he saw that they were both in place, the young man turned around and headed back out of the room, wandering back the way he had just come. He soon spotted the bird creature slowly making its way towards them, so he just froze in the middle of the hallway, staring up at it. The thing would probably notice him soon and he didn't want to get any closer so there would be plenty of running space between him and it. -- tinybreeze, Mint, strangerthings(I agree, mint, that would help xD) Noé frowned a little bit at Quote's comment. "Really? You'd prefer to help us find Sable's Life? You know once we find it, I think most of this group will be gone and you'll be left here alone to find Freedom..." he trailed off some, shaking his head. "That's kind of you." He smiled at him before looking at Conan. "And you know what Freedom looks like? Where did you learn this?"

mintedstar/fur brokenLelouch raised a curious brow. The thing that was chasing them had lost interest. Since it was slowly making its way for them, it meant time to move pawns around the chess board. He looked over towards Snake, and Sally. "Snake, Sally, move away from the open. Take this moment to hide on the side." He instructed again. Quickly he snapped his fingers and tossed the container with water towards Sally. "Sally, elevate yourself up to my level. Keep the water at the ready, and throw it only after I toss the net." He added. "We're going to electrocute it, only if it comes this way." He added. During this time he started to wrap the Christmas lights on the fishing net.

[[ i don't care, lol. ]] I shall wait for the others. -- "Of course," scoffed Oliver. "You think I'd keep it after it nearly killed me twice?" Myrnin looked between the vampire and the Time Lord, confused. Then he just shrugged, deciding he didn't care. He fell back a little to walk next to the Doctor, though from the look of it, he would soon be moving around again. He seemed a little more active than usual. Oliver's eyes wondered over the piles, looking for nothing in particular. He was enjoy what felt like a few moments of peace. The Master or Myrnin would probably interfere with that soon, but the grumpy vampire tried not to think of that. (Guess it's give them a break, because I haven't thought of anything else to do yet...)

Meanwhile, The Doctor was looking around, casting suspicious glances at shadows, and around corners into the little passageways that wormed their way through the piles, most probably being dead ends. "You know," he mused, after a moment, "I was thinking, boys, how do we even know we're dead? The only word we have to go on is Sable's, and he's not the most reliable host." It was just a thought, one that had been nagging him. He just hadn't said anything until now.

@bolderpelt (If you call a mild case of paranoia a rest. XD ) Myrnin shrugged and looked down at his hands. “Don’t know. What does dead usually feel like? Like, actually dead?” “I don’t think there is any tangible way to prove that we are dead,” said Oliver. “But though it might matter more for ‘Time Lords’, both I and Myrnin have been dead for centuries. Nothing much has changed apart from location.” He gestured around at the Museum. Myrnin nodded a little, then raised a hand to speak. “You still have heartbeats though.” He pointed to the Doctor. “Right?” Oliver frowned. “Still breath as well. But there doesn’t seem to be a need for food.” He looked the Master up and down. “I’m thankful for that. Options would be rather limited otherwise.” -- Auransky broken (You should be fine broken. I’ll just have the bird notice him.) Sally basically just went along with it. She climbed a pile of junk, waiting for Lelouch to give her what he wanted. The bird spotted Snake and turned to head for him. The wings beat the air silently, not sound came from the ghost bird itself, only from the items that tumbled from the piles and the occasional broken wall. Sally held her glowing blue chains in one hand, waiting. “Any time now!” She shouted.
