@bolderpelt "I think they would have responded by now if they could," muttered Oliver. He felt along the wall, checking left and right. When the wall had started to grow it had pulverized each side of the junk pile, leaving it impossible to climb. He walked over, hand traveling along it. The wall continued past the junk piles on either side. He wasn't sure how far it went. "I don't like this," he growled. "Not the wall itself...or even being stuck with you, no matter how much that gets on my nerves." He turned to look at the Master. Something flickered, no, reflected in his eyes. A long, slender spike just barely registering in his vision, heading right for the Master's head. "Get down!" he shouted.
"I don't know," said Myrnin, stepping up beside him. He couldn't hear anything, even with his enhanced senses. In fact, something seemed wrong with his senses. He felt...fuzzy. Like his head was in cotton. He shook his head, trying to feel. "Something's wrong..." he muttered. "I can't smell anything." The scent of the museum, musty and old, had been like background to him. It might have been even to slight for humans to pick up. He turned in a circle, looking around. He couldn't even see as far or as in detail as usual. What was going on?
(What's happening on the Doctor's and Myrnin's side of the wall is that it dampens five senses, through the actual 'danger' hasn't turned up yet. The thing on the Master's and Oliver's side is pretty clear, but you're welcome to toss in what you want on either side.)

Auransky broken Sally shrugged when he said that he'd never seen a vampire up close. That wasn't to much of a stretch for her imagination. Then the motion she had just made stopped right before completion and she frowned. "What small town could you possibly live in that only witches and demons are believed to exist?" She still had not thought that Lelouch came from another world. She looked over at Snake, frowning. "And you? Do you not know of vampires either?" When Lelouch introduced himself, she opened her mouth and the words, "That's a lie," came out before she could stop them. She frowned, only half sure why she had said that. This boy had no heartbeat, like everyone here she had met so far. Because they were all supposed to be dead. But maybe some of her abilities to sense the change in how someone spoke was still there. Heartbeat and the sound of someones voice. With both of those, I can sense when someone is lying. She hesitated again, but went with her instinct. "Your lying," she continued. "Your name isn't Lelouch Lamperouge and you don't have a boring story." Her eyes narrowed.

The thing on the Master's and Oliver's side is pretty clear, but you're welcome to toss in what you want on either side.) Instead of falling to the floor, The Master bent backwards in an almost inhuman pose, only his toes touching the floor, knees bent at a painful looking angle as the spike whizzed over where his stomach now was. And then another one came, closer to his stomach this time, and he fell flat on his back, ankles and knees aching, but that didn't stop him from half scrambling up and commanding, "Run!" It was impossible to dodge the projectiles, with the way they were shooting past, but it was possible to hope, so hope he did as he began to sprint, hoping that Oliver would be smart and not-dead enough to follow.
---
"I..." The Doctor replied, trailing off. He couldn't hear as well, couldn't smell as well, but what scared him was his sight. Time Lords had very basic ocular function, closer to humans unless they were in a state of fight-or-flight, but by sight he meant the mental kind. His people sort of saw life through projections, projections of thoughts unspoken and tang that could happen, but hadn't yet, or wouldn't at all. It was like watching life with headphones on and those silly glasses that made you see everything with an aura over your eyes. That didn't even come close to describing what it was really like to be able to see everything all the time, most of the time he ignored it in fact, but now it was odd, like watching a broken projector desperately try to produce a picture, and Myrnin's thoughts were just gone. "My senses are going too," he said, glancing at the wall, "we should... move."

@bolderpelt The only thought that really went through Oliver's mind as his body started to move was, It's kind of unfair that he can do that. I'm stuck with good, old-fashioned dodging. A spike whistled past is neck and he could almost tell from that close call that these spikes were made of actually silver. If one of those hit him, it would be doubly painful. He couldn't tell where all these spikes were coming from, as it seemed to be aiming from every direction. He spun, is senses alight, as a spike nearly hit him again. He rolled to the ground, unsure where the Master wanted to run exactly. But he followed him none the less. A spike brushed the back of his hand, drawing blood and the silver burning on contact with his skin. He hissed with pain, but didn't pause.
--
Myrnin eyed the Doctor. This seemed to be effecting him even more than the vampire. But he simply nodded, looking both to the left and right, before turning to walk back the way they had come. This meant that they were heading away from the Master and Oliver, but that couldn't be helped. Myrnin pointed to his left. "Should we try to climb that way? If this is some type of trap, it will probably be back the way we came. Because it's the clearest path." His senses were so dulled he wouldn't be able to tell if something was coming. He would be lucky to see normal, human lengths. He also appeared to be slightly far-sighted like this. He looked right and left again, trying to get his bearings. Nothing seemed to be changing, even as they moved away from the wall. Had they triggered an item without knowing it? He held up the hand with the glowing item, surprised that the light from it no longer hurt his eyes as it had before. It had been like a slight background hum, easily dealt with, but now it was gone. This was the only item that he was touching, but that shouldn't effect the Doctor too, should it?

How long was this corridor? The Master sprinted along, feet smacking loudly on the floor, drumbeat and heartbeat in time, roaring in his ears as he full out dashed down the hall. His chest hurt, and his head hurt, and he was pretty sure that one of the spikes had hit his lower arm, but he kept on going, not even sure if the sharp dagger of metal was still embedded or not. He only knew that it hurt like the devil, and that his sinuses were starting to burn by the time that he got to a bend. Without even checking to see if Oliver was still by him, he wheeled around it, nearly losing his balance, but managing to stay upright as he very slightly slowed to try and see what was going on.
---
"We can try," The Doctor said, making his way to the wall. He put his hand on something that looked sturdy, a stone pedestal that was missing its displayed piece, but as soon as he touched it, he pulled back with a hiss. His hand was burned, seared red, and he crinkled his eyes and clenched his jaw as he stared at it, trying not to curse. "Son of Dalek," he said instead, waving his hand and dancing around a tiny bit before prompting, "you can try, I suppose, but the rest of it might be hot at this rate."

mintedstar/fur AuranskySnake listened to what the boy had so say, remaining silent. He had never heard of the school he was talking about, but he didn't bother asking about it. Then, when the girl said that he was lying, he raised a brow as he continued to stare. How could she know Lelouch was lying? Everything he said sounded reasonable. "Vampires? Yeah I know about them. I overheard Black and Smile once, says Oscar." He figured they wouldn't know who he was talking about, but it wouldn't really matter anyway. "But iwhere im from, we don't see any walking around town. @bolderpelt Oliver rounded the corner a second later. He had gotten hit with a few spikes, but they had only grazed him. An ugly scratch just below his mouth was slowly healing, though the skin looked burned. His run faded, then he halted, looking around. The rain of spikes seemed to have stopped, but the vampire wasn't satisfied. "None of this is connected with us touching an item," he looked over at the Master, eyes suspicious. "You didn't touch any items lately, correct?" He didn't think the Time Lord had, but wasn't completely sure. "That wall and now this... Silver...It might have been meant pacifically for me...or Myrnin if he had gotten stuck on this side of the wall." -- Myrnin reached out to brush the base of a bookcase, but it burnt his hand just as badly. "Trapped it is then," he said, eyeing the burn. At least with normal, human senses it didn't hurt as badly. He looked around, back toward the wall than back the way they had come. "Limited options." It really was only three. Go back and wait, try and climb either side, or continue retracing their steps. "Deadly traps it is then," he said, turning to walk (with a slight spring in his step, because this was Myrnin) back down the path. (I've got something in mind I could throw at either one of them, if you want. )

The Master took a moment to answer. He lifted his arm up, panting, as he looked at the bloody spike jutting out from his forearm. "Ah," was his first response, one of pain, as he ground his teeth audibly, and with one swift motion pulled the thing out of his flesh. Of course, there was blood, more orange than red, but he quickly pressed on it with his other fist, and began to speak. "Uh, no, but if I remember correctly, you touched something, in fact threw it!" the Time Lord snapped, blood welling around his fist now. He mumbled to himself, and took his hand away, beginning to tug off his black hoodie in order to rip off a sleeve, to use it as a tourniquet.
---
"Deadly traps," The Doctor said-sang in response, tapping his toes on the floor before heading after Myrnin, one hand shoved into his pocket, and other hand flipping that screwdriver he always had with him to point at anything on a whim. "You know, Myrnin," he began after a moment, head turning to one side, "I think, that if we knew each other under different circumstances, there is quite the high chance I would've considered showing you a bit of the universe. I am a traveller, after all. Did I mention that?" He was trying to change the subject, but he was also truthful. He liked Myrnin, because Myrnin was like him, and most of his friends, which was absolutely bonkers.

@bolderpelt (I think I'll fall over laughing now to avoid hurting myself by falling later.)
"This is true," muttered Oliver, hating that he was right. He looked around anyway, expecting another unexpected item to come out of nowhere again. Noticing the Master's injury, he frowned. He wasn't going to offer to help unless he checked something first. "You might not like what I suggest, but do you heal like a normal human?" His own wounds were already closed, though the silver hadn't helped. He reached up a hand, eyeing the scratch that had been there, and when he did he suddenly felt a tightening around his throat. The vampire reached up, feeling along the edge of his throat. Suddenly he was wearing a sort of collar. "What's this?" he muttered, trying to pull it off. He noticed that one had materalized around the Master's neck as well. (Watch me steal another magical item from a book series. This one attempts to strangle you if you tell a lie. )
--
Myrnin raised an eyebrow. "If that was supposed to be a pickup line, I've heard better." He pointed a finger at the Doctor and said, "And no, you didn't mention that. In fact, you keep playing with that screwdriver thing, but didn't really bring it out until that droid turned up..." He trailed off, hand falling to his side again as he thought about that. Then his face broke into a grin. "The droid's back this way, isn't it? I wonder if that's going to be part of the trap..." He couldn't hear, nor did he see since he was looking at the Doctor, the arrow that flew out out of the nearest junk pile and ended up hitting him square in the chest. He collapsed backwards, a confused look in on his face. When he hit the floor his eyes were dead and he didn't move. The arrow was planted just below where his heart would be and despite the fact they were supposed to be dead, Myrnin now really looked like he was.

[[ oh goodness. ]]
"Faster..." The Master said, trailing off as he pulled his hoodie over his head. He had thought the tug at his throat was part of the article of clothing, but no, it stayed. So, he let the hoodie drop down by his feet, and he reached up to feel along what was on his neck. Yes, his was indeed a collar as well, and instead of being concerned, he just smiled, laughed at whatever vile things he was saying in his head, and then muttered, "Kinky." He tried to pull his own off too, but no, firmly stuck. He sighed. Sable really had made this an annoying place to be in, fun, but more annoying than anything else in all honesty.
---
"No, not a pickup line," The Doctor chuckled, "I'm married." He had been listening when Myrnin got hit. Like any man that had been in war, his first reaction was to cover himself, crouching behind a little outcrop of junk, staring at the spot where he thought the arrow had come from. His second reaction, also like any man who had been in war, was to steel himself. The vampire didn't seem to be moving. The arrow seemed to be somewhere around his heart. Dead. He shook his head, biting his lip, but then crept out from behind the pile, shuffling along until he was crouched next to the body, cradling the man's head on his knee and peering into his eyes before checking for a pulse. He wasn't expecting to find one.

@bolderpelt (Don't help me. :3 I needed to laugh.)
Oliver wasn't sure whether to continue from where he'd left of or continue to try and get the thing around his neck off. "I wish you'd just be quiet," he muttered, amusement tinting his voice (thus making it a partial lie). His fingers nearly broke as the collar tightened on them and his neck. "What the-" Oliver started, but wind was required to talk and that had just been taken from him. He coughed a couple of times. The collar was now dangerously tight. He was lucky he didn't need to breath. After a bit of pulling, he got his fingers out from under the collar allowing for some air to get into him. "What was that?" he said in a horse voice.
--
(Weak point for the vampires in Morganville. Anything, even if it's small, that gets stuck deep enough in their chest and it basically freezes them in a state of death. That arrow has to come out before he can move or even hear. Just a fun fact.)
Myrnin couldn't really answer him. There was no pulse, no heartbeat, no movement in the air to show he was still breathing. His eyes were lifeless, staring at nothing. He looked to all the world to be dead. The arrow had a long, brown wood shaft with a red-hawk feather fletching. It was the type shot from a long bow. No sign of who had shot it could be seen anywhere. Around, the museum was quiet, as usual. Nothing moved, even the hidden paper cranes.

"I don't know," The Master replied, truthfully for his own sake, adding ruefully at the end, but with just a tinge of a grin, "you know, if you keep telling me to be quiet I might pull out your tongue." Now his collar tightened, and he coughed, yanking at it until it finally lessened its pressure, allowing him to gulp in a couple of cool breaths of air. "What are these?" he asked in frustration, trying to crane his neck down to see his own, "get along collars or something like that?"
---
[[ interesting factoid there! ]]
And, of course, as he didn't find was he was looking for, he swore, shaking his head. How could that have happened? He should've heard it coming, or seen it, but everything was so dulled and fuzzy right now that he doubted that that would've been at all possible. He still, however, had the nagging sense that it was all his fault. Tears stung at the backs of his eyes, but he forcibly screwed up his face to hold them in, reaching down with his free hand and grasping the stem of the arrow. The least he could do was take it out, so with a grim frown, he twisted his fingers around the thin shaft of wood, and pulled.

@bolderpelt "I'm going to die then," said Oliver, showing his teeth. "Because that's going to be impossible." The collar seemed to take this as true enough, since Oliver didn't seem to lose the use of his voice again. He frowned deeply. "How do we get them off? Is there some trick or something?" He felt along the edges of his neck, seeing if there was any weak points to the collar. "Maybe if we both don't talk we wont end up getting strangled."

(RIP Myrnin)
A rattling breath filled Myrnin's lungs, though it was unnecessary to breath. It was to talk, however, and he sat up so fast he almost hit his head against the Doctor's. "Gah! I hate when that happens," his face was scrunched up with some pain and the place where the arrow had been was already beginning to heal. He looked down at his chest then up at the Doctor. "Thanks. I was wondering when that would happen. I mean, it's an interesting party trick, but it fools a lot of people." He fingered the hole in his shirt. "I liked this shirt too. They get holes in them far to often." He seemed completely fine, apart from the fact he'd been dead for around five minutes. Well, according Sable's notes, he'd been dead longer than that, but still. He looked up again, realizing what expression the Doctor had had on his face. The vampire blinked a couple of times, unaware until now that the Doctor had really thought he was dead. And had cared. Not many people in Myrnin's little world did. "Sorry for the worry," he said, still surprised.

mintedstar/fur brokenThe words of lies, was one which forced him to take a step back. This was truly a marvel, a delight. The things of fiction, playing out right before his eyes. His expression shifted, it was still relaxed, yet impression flashed in his eyes, followed by amusement. She's a clever one, but also head first. Though very useful, such a detail can land you and your team into a trap.."Odd..." He leaned back a little, his voice questioning the situation. "I kept a calm voice, steady, my heart beat should it be beating is at its calmest. Not even the detectors can sense such words which roll through very often. Unless my mind is probed-no" He paused, "Unless I am under great stress will everything fall, but surprisingly I'm not." He crossed his arms, resting his chin upon his left first. "Strange, very strange. But I'm not lying I'm afraid." A smile returned to his once amused expression, "I am indeed Lelouch Lamperouge, that is who I am under the empire of Britannia. A simple student whom like many other hearts wanted to change the oppression to something better for all people. But for myself to do battle, to force through brute strength? I would never be able to do such a thing." "-But..." He snapped his fingers. "Unless I became the tactition, yes only then would I be able to assist those, others who believed the same goal. Through strategies I was able to assist, and abuse my pawns of this lively game which held the goal of freedom versus anarchy. I challenged the world as Zero, through the mask I controlled the Black Knights, and secured all possibilities in our favor. Sacrifices were indeed made, but everyone knew what was the sake of our objective. With that many members of the royal family fell, just like dominos. Slowly and surely did the empire crumble, and the united federation of nations, regained that light. That hope which was once lost. It re-ignited many, and drew many more to rise up against their oppressors." He fell silent, "Other then that, I was an ordinary high school student, not paying attention in class or bothering to care." ((Random fact, but...) ((Jap. voice actor for Lelouch also plays Akira.)) (So this scene for both games was way too relatable.)) Code Geass Persona 5

But someone wanted to stop a fire." She was still standing several feet away, the only one of the three even heading in the right direction. She looked over at Snake again, wondering about why someone would go by the name 'Smile'. Looking back in the direction of the fire, she noted that the smoke had cleared some more. The fire was probably almost out. She didn't have to stay and wait for these two. But she did anyway, arms crossed.

He looked up again, realizing what expression the Doctor had had on his face. The vampire blinked a couple of times, unaware until now that the Doctor had really thought he was dead. And had cared. Not many people in Myrnin's little world did. "Sorry for the worry," he said, still surprised. "Oh, please do keep egging me on then," The Master grunted, tugging at his own collar again. He was able to fit a couple of fingers underneath, but it barely had any give. He seemed to take Myrnin's advice though, growing silent as he tried to saw at whatever this thing was made of with his thumbnail. Once again, nothing. He was afraid it was going to give him a little choke again, so he finally let go, giving up. If it wasn't trying to choke him twenty-four-seven, then what was the point, huh? "There might be a knife in this junk," he said, waving a hand towards the piles, "but I wouldn't trust you to cut this thing off of me under gunpoint. Sorry."
---
The Doctor, as Myrnin had almost smacked their foreheads together, had jumped back, releasing the other man's body from his grip. He took a deep breath, clutching at his chest, before shaking his head, and laughing. Thank god he wasn't dead. He hated it when people died, even if he'd seen so many deaths that it would probably take him years to count them out. "No, no, it's fine," he said, jumping up, not registering Myrnin's surprise, "glad you're not dead, uh, again." He held out a thin hand, to help the vampire up and off of the floor, with a tiny smile. He was still surprised, hearts thumping wildly, but it was okay. Myrnin wasn't dead!

mintedstar/fur broken((Oh you looking for characters to clash? I can probably find a few more. >D )) ((But send Lulu anywhere, he seriously ain't looking to revive atm)) Lelouch shrugged, "Ordinary varies okay? Where I am from, living on campus at the most elite school meant ordinary. All I did was sit behind a desk and plan things. Doing the action was for soldiers and such. But anyways-that fire." He turned his attention, the smoke did seem to be somewhat dying down. "Huh.." He reconsidered. "Maybe leaving it be might be best.." HE was now considering. "I mean it is bad, but you have a point. And for all we know, someone else might be handling the issue too." He walked over towards the hall, "But it could also be because we walked farther away from the actual source, so instead of a dying flame it could be heading this way." He spoke his thoughts. there was a lot of possibilities, Lelouch wanted to heed caution towards all the possibilities.

(I could go find an annoying character to also add in the room xD or I could always throw poor innocent Noé into the room. He'd probably get annoyed easily, then again, I don't know much about his personality since it is kinda a new series.) mintedstar/fur Auransky Snake, still remained silent and taking everything in, just stared at them for quite some time even after they spoke. He really wasn't sure that to think. This guy was basically giving out all his secrets with no problem. Then again, they were dead so it probably didn't matter anymore. Plus they were all from different places and they would never meet again. The hybrid's attention turned toward the smoke and he shrugged some. "If we do leave it alone, it could probably burn the whole place down. But apparently we're already dead, so what would happen if we died again, asks Oscar." He slowly followed after them, a little curious.

( Hello all! mintedstar/fur, I actually came on to tell you that you can just delete me from this role play. It was fun, but I am never on anymore and I really feel like I don't have much time to get on anyway. And I feel kind of rude for popping in and then just leaving for a while. I hope you understand )
