Auransky mintedstar/furSnake was just listening silently, turning his head back and forth as each person spoke. He really didn't know why the other guy wasn't terrified of being here or why he was taking it so kindly. They were trapped in an unknown museum that was on fire. The hybrid blinked slowly, tilting his head to one side. "And maybe what he is saying is that this place will treat you kindly in return, this letting you go. But I don't really know, it's only a guess. He's obviously crazy, says Emily." -- tinybreeze, Kuragehime LarkNoé nodded in agreement, but at the dragon's sudden warning, he quickly grabbed for the closest stable thing there was. The vampire blinked, watching a few of the fla,es already beginning to die down. "W-wow...keep it up!"

Yay 40 pages!!]]
Mint and Stranger:
Kagura's eyes widened when the smoke billowed into the room. She covered her mouth and walked up behind Conan. "Whoa, what happened - " she wondered, but was cut off by a bout of coughing before she was able to finish her sentence. She stepped around Conan and waved the umbrella around, opening and closing it repeatedly to try and clear the air.
~~~
Broken, Lark, Tiny:
Zoro had only grabbed onto the corner of the wall, which he soon found out was not his best idea. Sure, it didn't fly away in the wind, but it certainly felt like he was going to do so any moment now. His fingers gripped that corner with all his strength, until a piece of debris came flying through the air. It was a book and it hit him right in the face, though it was a thin book so it didn't knock him completely off the wall.. just one hand.
o: ]] Aizen let out a laugh. It was the hardest he had laughed in quite a while, though he toned it down quickly for the sake of keeping up his facade. Oh how little you know, human. I could eliminate you without even lifting a finger, even with these ridiculous sealing bindings. He took the map from Kid, masking these thoughts with his well-practiced smile and glanced at the thief before answering. "I can assure you, that is certainly what I was. I can do much more than 'a bit of magic', but the opportunity to do so has not yet presented itself," he said. That was all he shared before turning his attention back to the map. His eye flicked from the paper to the lights above them a few times, and after handing it back to Kid Aizen turned down another hallway. (I skipped ahead a little because I was curious.) Somehow I feel like he's mocking me, thought Kid. Though the only expression he allowed on his face was confusion. I'm starting to get a really bad vibe from this guy...or am I just imagining that? Over thinking?He quietly followed Aizen, at a loss for what to do. Somehow, he felt like he had walked into a situation he couldn't walk out of. "Think we're almost there?" he finally asked, looking down at the map and then back up at the ceiling. He thought they were almost their, but he wasn't to sure. Around them, the museum continued to look neat and orderly. Kid wasn't sure how long they had been walking and wondered what was happening in the other parts of the museum. A radio turned on as he passed it and he nearly jumped out of his skin. Ah]] "I have a feeling we're getting closer," Aizen replied, stopping a moment to look at the radio. He glanced at Kid, studying the expression on his companion's face and chuckling quietly to himself as he turned back around. "That is, if nothing comes to stop us along the way." He resumed his slow and steady pace, beginning to wonder how far into the museum they had wandered by now. They passed a few paintings mounted on the walls, and Aizen had to do a double-take as he thought he saw the image move on one of them. With a bit more observing he saw it actually was moving. A sprawling green landscape stretched across the canvas, and the branches of the trees were swaying in a tiny breeze. "Interesting," he murmured.
Buck's eyes widened as he pushed open the doors to the museum. It was huge! He craned his head up, feeling very, very small at his diminutive five-foot-one stature. And the piles of stuff seemed to go on forever, past where his vision could see. The amazement was quickly replaced with anxiety and sadness. They were never going find there stuff, were they? "Well, at least we have a lot of time to look," he joked lamely.
---
Eleven's nose scrunched as the smoke poured in, but she followed them, eyes half closed and a small cough escaping her lips as she waded into it. Where was it coming form? She couldn't see. "AIDAN?" she suggested, very, very softly, as she followed after Kagura, to stay in the path of fresh air that was being cleared by the woman's flapping umbrella. Maybe they'd fought and there'd been a lot of smoke, right?
[[ i wish, but alas, i must watch it weekly like old television. ]]
"Yes, of course," the droid replied, looking at its, well, The Master's hand for a moment, before some sparks appeared, and then an arch of electricity, which quickly diminished, and then disappeared quite quickly. "You can still do that?" The Doctor asked. He asked The Master, not the droid. "Yeah," the other Time Lord said, a bit sourly, though he simply watched the sparks of energy die with his arms crossed over his chest.
Lelouch paused for a second, taking a moment to glimpse at the vintage items before him. He was searching for something, his violet eyes scanning every spec which was before him. And there it was, he smiled reaching out for a toy aircraft. He held it in his hands, to show the two. "Let me ask you two a question." He began. "You describe this place like a prison, but is it really a prison? Momentos of the past, present, and eventual future, gathering here before us. Does that mean time progresses around us, or are we at the end point, gathering items which be found in ruble?" His eyes looked at the plane before returning to the two, "Have you ever killed someone? Killed anyone, killed many, more or less for the manor?" He voice reached a still calm demeaner, his approach of the topic was most calm, most appreciative. "With that in mind, how do the individuals should you say yes, how would they respond to you? Would they wish you well, or curse to your ends? Curse you a horrid end eventually at a future time to come?" "And another question." He waved a finger. "religion, though I'm not big in it myself, it may or may have never been proven to be true. Is there a god, just as there are monsters. The answer varies from person to person. But only till death will we discover the truth." "Yes I refer to the book of beliefs. The description in which they describe heaven and hell. The world above, and the world below: two worlds in which our living world sits in between. But wait there is something we are missing, the world of wait. Every club , every store, everywhere exists a wait line. A queue to reach a destination, and in a way if we consider this note, consider our actions, consider the people around us, we come to the conclusion: yes.. yes this is purgatory." He paused now for another second. "Consider the note again. The options, to revive because there is something precious, a mission left undone. Consider the first option which objectives have been completed, yet the meaning behind that is still needing a good note end. And the second option, the easy way out: by eliminating someone or something you declare yourself sin and walk back to the living." He chuckled a bit, "But what would I know? It's only philosophy which taught these topics back at school." He shrugged it off. He listened to snake's comments, and his snakes calling him crazy. Yet he couldn't help but let out a most inner laugh. "In the beginning, being called Crazy was funny. Overtime it lost it's meaning." He admitted without a care in the world. broken mintedstar/fur((I'm having too much fun with Lulu r.i.p))
Auransky and broken (I'm having fun with him too. XD He's one very interesting character.) (I was wondering if anyone was going to get into the philosophy of this. :3 Now I have to see what bits of that Sally will understand (since she's not from Earth.)) So he's killed, thought Sally. She looked down at her hands. Oh, yes, in the dark old days she had killed. And she had killed many. But that was what the Oath was for. She had stepped past those days, like many of her kind, or be hunted to extinction by the humans and any other creature who despised vampires. She gave a dry chuckle. They'd want her dead. Anyone she had killed would wish her a hundred more deaths than she had ever had. Maybe they had finally got their wish. She was here, after all. Had her ashes been scattered to the winds? Was there no way for her body to reform? Or was she here, in a sort of limbo, waiting to be brought back? On Lelouch's second question, Sally raised an eyebrow. Most of that had made no sense to her. She wasn't an atheist. Not believing in the gods in her world was almost certain death. The gods didn't take kindly in you admitting you didn't believe in them. But, like much of the rest of the Watch, she took the figure-heads of religion as just part of the background. If they didn't bother her, she would admit to their existence. "If you are talking of the Book of Om," she said in her thick accent. "Then I know less of it than I know of the god." He'd said god, singular, hadn't he? That was usually something the followers of Om said. Somehow, they got away with only believing in one. Even so, Sally found herself tensing, like she still expected some divine punishment. "Whether this is a form of waiting room or not," she said. "I can not say I enjoy the prospect of waiting around. As you say, I have...unfinished business."
Kuragehime @bolderpelt "Interesting's one way to put it," said Arlo as they headed back to the museum. She hoped they would be able to find what they were looking for. Her eyes widened as she stepped into the museum. It was huge... and messy. Really messy. "Keep an eye out for a knife with a wolf carved on the handle..." She almost hoped that it wasn't in the museum, at least if it was in her world she would be able to get it back once they found Sable's Life.
Sorry for late reply. ^^' )) @bolderpelt, Lark, Kuragehime, tinybreeze, broken(I think everyone can be considered in the general area of one another...) The smoke started to clear quickly and Conan felt the beginning of a strong wind blow against him. He gripped the door-frame with both hands. Through half lidded eyes he could make out a few other people, as well as a large creature (was that a dragon?) which seemed to be the cause of the wind. Small fires were going out, failing to fight the battle against the wind. A few scorched pieces of what might have been a table leg almost hit him. -- @bolderpelt (I can't remember the list time I watched a show like that. This way prevents binge-watching, but nearly kills you from suspense. Are they released two episodes at a time at least or are they long enough that it's only one?) Oliver grimaced, but only Myrnin probably noticed since his facial expression was always like that. Why hadn't the Time Lord used that when he'd been fighting? He felt cheated. But he was also a little nervous that the droid could replicate powers. Even if it hadn't read his mind yet, using it's own abilities, it would have seen far to much when it had been Myrnin. Myrnin's eyes were aglow. "You can do that?" he said, turning his Christmas come early eyes on the Master. The expression made Oliver grin, because it was the expression Myrnin used when he wanted to figure out how something worked. It usually unnerved people.
mintedstar/fur Auransky (I agree, Lulu is awesome !) Duh, I almost tagged myself xD) Snake just stared at him as he spoke, slowly putting together what he had said. The first question about him killing made him take a step back, tilting his head to the side as he eyed one of his snakes as it gave a soft hiss. Yes, he has killed before, but he wasn't going to be as open to it as Lelouch was. And the chuckle that Sally gave only proved that she, too has killed. At least he wasn't alone. He continued to eye them at the other part. He wasn't too big on religion, or more like, he never had the time to study up on religion. Plus, the people he was around never spoke of a god, they just focused on their duties and that was all. "I have no reason to believe that this is not a waiting room, but the note contradicts that. If we are to wait around, why would it say we have to find items to either choose life or death," there was a small pause before he continued, "but I know one thing, I am not going to wait around to see what happens. I think we might have a better chance of leaving if we are among some of the first to find these items. I have people to serve back where I'm from, and I prefer to get this nonsense over with quickly. Says Oscar."
mintedstar/fur broken((My connection was lost and it deleted, everything. Q.Q )) "And that is the overall idea of purgatory." Lelouch replied. "It's a waiting room, a line to train. Here you decide whether to take your last stop, turn back, or take the bus. Here you two are noting that you have unfinished business, or that something was unjust, therefore here in this state of mind you are to find that which is most important to you. By that, what makes you you. It's a psychological, but personal thing at the same time." "There's also the bus, where you simply kill your opponent." He added lastly. Taking in a deep breath he relaxed his excitement, "Right, well I do wish you two the best of luck in your hunt for whatever it may be. I am undecided, but I know I will surely come to an answer soon."
"Be on the lookout for a book about angels," Buck murmured as he glanced around, beginning a bit down one of the aisles, eyebrows raised sharply as he looked at some of the weird objects. There was not one, but two styrofoam heads, and a taxidermic gopher that all stared at him, so he turned, heading back towards his companions. This creeped him out.
---
They almost hit Eleven too, but thanks to her powers, they went flying off to her right. "What is that?" she hissed as she stared at the large shadow of the dragon. She'd never seen a computer, of course she didn't know what a dragon would be. All she knew was that it was huge, there was fire and smoke everywhere, and things were flying through the air. So, it was basically how the last month of her life had been doing, right?
---
[[ i think they just do like one at a time, and most of the episodes are two-parters, so it's EXTREMELY painful. ]]
"Yeah," The Master shrugged, holding his hand out and making the same electric currents the droid had, "ta-da. I'm like a walking, talking Tesla coil." He grinned at his own joke, the licks of electricity disappearing with a sizzle, making the "hair" on the head of the droid stand up where it stood.
Kuragehime broken mintedstar/fur Lark @bolderpelt Thankfully, Quote had gotten on the side of the pedistal the wind was blowing against. He doubted that his injured arms would have been able to keep himself from being blown across the hall. Sure, he was basically pinned to the pedistal, but it was better than Zoro's situation. He squinted at some distant shapes, which were obscured by smoke. More people?
Auransky broken (I hate when that happens.) Sally cast a sidelong look at Snake, her eyes narrowed a little. This person was crazy. "Bus?" she asked, wondering what she was getting into. She wasn't dumb. She thought he was talking about some mode of transportation. At least she knew what a train was. But that was a pretty new attention of transportation on the Disc, so the whole concept was a little lost to her. "I have no opponent," she added. "Other than myself. I chose option three." She hoped this person wasn't dangerous. But what he was saying was utter nonsense to her. Some of it seemed to vaguely connect to her reality, what she knew of Discworld, but it seemed as if she was looking at it through a warped mirror.
@bolderpelt (That sounds painful. O.O I think I would die or forget what happened in the last episode. Oops... How long are episodes? An hour or a half-hour?)
Myrnin was the only one of the vampires who actually found the Master's joke amusing. Oliver's gaze was just stony as he stared at the Master. So, he was more dangerous than he had first thought. Oliver didn't like underestimating people. It got him hurt. He only disliked caring for people more, as that meant he felt responsible when they got hurt. Myrnin asked the droid, with a sort of sick interest, "Did you have my powers?" It sounded like he was poking a wound to see if it was healed. He sounded like he didn't think it was. This droid could be very dangerous. Then another thought hit the vampire. "Can you change into Sable?" he asked, eyes sparkling. Oliver's head jerked up, suddenly every atom of interest on the droid.
mintedstar/furLelouch shifted his expression to a small surprise from his usual calm. He blinked for a moment then eavef his hands in the air to re-empasize. "The bus, and train are metaphors. Natrually a train is faster, but will have to go around the city. A bus can go through the city , cutting the need to go around." He explained. "That's what the options are being compared to. But enough of that, we really should find something to take out the fire, don't you agree?"
mintedstar/fur AuranskySnake noticed the look from Sally, but he just frowned, not saying anything. She was probably judging him anyway. The young hybrid shrank away some, rubbing one of the scaley patches on his cheek as he spoke. "I also chose option three..." he trailed off some, quickly glancing back the way he had come, nodding. "And I agree, we need to put out that fire. I just don't see anything we can use, says Oscar"
broken Auransky "I don't know what a 'bus' is," explained Sally, though at this point she figured it wasn't important. "So, please excuse me if I think you might be out of your mind." Well, she did work for mad people some times. It was all part of being a vampire who lived in Uberwald. She looked over at Snake again, eyes sharp. He seemed to be a little distant. Why was that? "I cannot help with the fire. My kind has a weakness to it." Her eyes looked back down the hallway, already able to tell that the fire was starting to go out anyway. "I could possibly help from a distance, however, as the smoke does not bother me." This admittance in Uberwald, where she had last been, would be normal. She would be accepted as one of the undead easily. However, most people on the Disc still found it hard to understand. She fingered her black ribbon, hoping that the two had seen it. She had sworn off blood in favor of her duty. She was some version of 'safe'.
"Yes, I did have your powers," the droid informed with a small nod, turning to Myrnin, before answering his second question with a short shake of his head, "and no, I could not turn into Sable, one, because I have never seen Sable, and two, because Sable has no desire for me to take his form." "Fat lot of good you are then," The Master grumbled, rolling his eyes and tugging at his blonde fringe, which the droid mimicked perfectly, to the Time Lord's apparent dictate, as he gave it a thorough cussing out, which was eventually cut off by The Doctor. The other Time Lord had made his way over to the group now, standing by Oliver, saying, "I mean, it makes sense. None of us have actually seen Sable in person."
@bolderpelt Oliver's shoulders hunched, like he didn't want to be such a large target. Though whether that reaction was from what the droid had said about Myrnin's powers or if it was because of the Doctor's proximity was up to interpretation. "If he's a person," Myrnin pointed out. "Those eyes didn't look like they belonged. To anything I've ever seen, that is." His eyes turned to the Doctor. "What about you? You sound like you've seen a lot of odd things in your life. Did what you say of him remind you of anything you know of?"
Paper cranes were once again disturbed, possibly by all the noise this group had made. Myrnin's eyes followed them, wondering why the cranes were so common around here. Were they like an infestation?
The Doctor didn't answer for a moment, watching as the cranes fluttered away, like real, little birds. He found them amusing, if not a bit... disconcerting. "Oh, maybe a Transmitter Ghost? I've seen a lot of eyeless things in my days, boys, can't remember all of them," he said, with a shrug, "I suppose I could be eyeless if I wanted to go for the whole blind thing. Time Lords don't have to look human, but bipedal with one head is the easiest way to go, most of the time."
@bolderpelt
"...nice to know..." said Oliver, edging away from the Time Lord. Myrnin just leaned forward, his Christmas come early eyes turned on the Doctor. "Really?" he asked. "You had to get him started," groaned Oliver, placing a hand over his face. "Be careful, he's trying to figure out how you work with his eyes now. I don't even have to look to know what he's thinking." The gloomy vampire didn't ask what a Transmitter Ghost was and Myrnin wasn't paying attention to that part at this point in time.
The paper cranes, if anyone was watching, had paused, circling. And if anyone had really good eyes and could read moving objects, they would have noticed words appearing and disappearing on their paper wings as they relayed everything they observed to Sable.
"Oh, trust me, I know," The Doctor said, addressing Oliver now, that typical, lopsided smile plastered on his face once more as he continued, gesturing towards The Master with his shoulder, "I get that look from him all the time. I don't mind. And yes," he was back to talking to Myrnin now, "really. Regeneration is a thing you can manipulate to your will, quite easily, actually. Well, if you learned how. I never learned and I'm kind of crap at it." He shrugged, folding his hands behind his back as he looked in between the two vampires, not nothing the cranes overhead.
