broken Lark"Maybe somethings going to happen or has happened that we don't know about," said Hannah, backing up a few feet. She looked around, wondering where a group could be. Both the entrances to the museum were connected, surly? "Should we do what it says or should we wait or continue looking?" she asked the other two. The girl felt a little on edge, like she should be doing something. Above her, a light flared, like there was a power surge. (Well, I said Wednesday. It's Wednesday forum time. :3 So, let's get this plot started!!!)

Kuragehime , @bolderpelt , tinybreeze , --cato phoenix , broken , Lark , UniverseFalls The sound of dead air once again played over the loudspeakers and the click of keys could be heard. A female voice, though it was clearly one of a computer, said over the speakers, 'Access approved.' The lights flared, as if the power was surging. Then, they all went dark. The few people who had phones could only see by there light. Or, if you were lucky, you had night vision or some other ability. The only sound was the sound of text messages going to every available phone in the museum. Someone, who liked to use the name Katio, heard the noise of the alert from a nearby pile of items and picked one up. Reading the message, he said, "This game will go a little differently than last time. We will now have the first battle of the Museum! Welcome, Hanna (AKA Kady) and AIDAN. You have both chosen path 2 and now, after this little string of events, will need to defeat each other to escape. So, since this will be my last message to you for a long time, enjoy this phone while you can. Becaus-" 'Because,' said a voice over the loudspeakers as the lights turn back on. 'He isn't in control anymore.' Far off, in the Museum, Hanna froze. "Oh no," she whispered. "Not again."

tinybreeze "I agGRee--" ADIAN started. But just then, the lights flickered and his screen suddenly went dark. The lights in the hallway and museum soon followed. AIDAN blacked out after that, as if someone had pulled him from his power source. When he could 'see' again, something was different. He could feel the whole museum, even to its smallest detail. Wherever something electrical was, he could sense it the strongest. Even Quote. Something snapped in ADIAN, probably whatever Hanna had set up to protect his electronics from whatever virus he had. He was fully broken and he could sense the text Sable had sent out. He couldn't sense Sable, but he cut off the message as soon as possible. "Because, he isn't in control anymore," said AIDAN over the loudspeakers. The lights came on again, by AIDAN's rules. Something, though, was still off. He couldn't see the museum to its fullest. Items that were half magic and half not. And Sable, who was like a shadow bending through any firewalls AIDAN tried to put up to stop him from using any of the machines. It was like Sable was playing and AIDAN hated games.

"That wont be necessary, I think," said Conan to Eleven, nodding his thanks for her suggestion. He had noticed that Upsilon was coming down. "Hopefully we'll get to see what they know or want soon." Just then, the lights flickered and died, plunging the museum into darkness. A few odd lights glowed off in the distance, but it was almost completely black besides that. Conan hissed in distress. "Now I have to ask if anyone has a light." A phone buzzed off to his left and he jumped, unaware there had been any cellphones in the piles of items. Another phone buzzed and then it was almost a constant buzz, ring, beep, or spoken word to say that the phones of the museum and the people in it had gotten a message. "What's all that about?" said the detective, looking around.

@bolderpelt "You are seeing what we're seeing, right?" Myrnin asked the Doctor with disbelieving eyes. "This place goes on forever! I'm starting to wonder whether the first group of people actually got out of this place or whether they're wandering in that!" His frown was cut deep into his face and he looked like he wanted to scream. "Unless being a Time Lord gives you some power to locate a small box or whatever Sable's Life is, than we are going to be stuck here." He wasn't even sure what being a 'time lord' meant, but it clearly didn't give either of them a power like the one they needed. Myrnin's voice plunged into an ice-water cold tone. "I want out of this, and I want out of this now!" His eyes flashed read and his teeth were bared. Humans in Morganville usually ran at this point. A hopeless, useless activity, but they ran all the same. Myrnin always caught them... Some small part of his brain that wasn't howling in fury was wondering how the two men would react to such a swift switch in personality. (Ah, when you try and make a greatly out-of-character vampire in-character again....) The Doctor rolled his eyes, clucking his tongue and chastising, "Drama queen," as he precariously began along the top of the pile, arms out at his sides for balance as he went heel-to-toe and heal-to-toe, eyes fixed on the dragon. He had barely stayed to see Myrnin's little transformation. "There's always a way out of everywhere, and by the way, we're dead, so it's not like we'll run out of time to look." The Master didn't seem too fazed either, eyes just mildly interested as they scanned the man over. They'd die in Morganville, said his thoughts, with maybe just a little satisfaction. No survival instincts.
Myrnin was to mad to care about anything. Though, the Doctor's words might have deflated him a little bit, because he didn't attack anyone or anything. Instead he snapped at the Master, "See anything interesting about my face?" The dragon that the Doctor was watching froze mid-flight, but it didn't seem to care about the man watching it. It looked at a light that was hanging from the roof and darted swiftly groundward. The light flickered and brightened. Myrnin, used to the normal light and already a little on edge, howled a little and flinched away from the light. It hadn't hurt, much, he was an old vampire, but it had surprised him. Then the museum was plunged into darkness as the lights failed.

"Well maybe if- huh?" Arlo formed a ball of energy so she could see when the lights went out. She stayed quiet until the lights came back on, just listening to the voice coming through the speakers. "Oh great, that doesn't sound too good..." Not that they'd actually heard anything good from Sable before... but now someone else was speaking. "So if Sable isn't in control anymore, who's talking..."

"Do we want to know, is the next question," hissed Conan. The voice hadn't sounded human, but it hadn't sounded like a machine either. " He picked up the phone he had heard and looked at the text message. It made only a little sense. "It's someone called Hanna or AIDAN. My bets on AIDAN since it's all caps and probably stands for something." He looked up at the woman. "Sable did mention something about a 'first battle' but I never thought it would be this soon." He hadn't heard of anyone called Hanna or AIDAN, but that didn't mean anything. He'd only just learned Arlo's. "The question is, where is it and is there anything we can do to help..." Help who, though. Who was the enemy here?

"No," said Hanna quietly. "Troubles going to come here. That was AIDAN. If he's out of my computer that means any safeguards I put up are down. He's probably over half mad by now. What he could do..." her mouth went dry. "I need to go. Get...get wherever he is. At the very least to his computer. I need to shut him down before he does to here what he did to his ship!"

Mint, Stranger, Arlo, Lark:
Nyx pulled the phone from his pocket when it buzzed shortly after the lights went out. His mood went a bit south when he thought about what could have possibly just happened, and then before he knew it the lights were on once more. "So the one who brought us here isn't in control anymore, great," he said. He gave his head a scratch, eyes following Kagura as she hopped around him to see what the message had said. "Well, as far as we know he isn't," he added.

Eleven leapt five feet in the air as the lights turned off and the loudspeakers clicked on. Thankfully, she had Buck to show her and read her the text message as it came to his phone. AIDAN? "Sounds like a robot," she mused idly, though still bristling a little. It sounded like one of the robots that her friends watched on the TV, of played with as, oh, what were they called? Actions figures. Those things. "Yeah, I guess," Buck shrugged, uneasy, "does anyone know them?"
---
"No, Myrnin, I didn't notice," The Master was hissing sarcastically as he glared at Myrnin, head whipping around suddenly as he saw the lights brighten in the corner of his eye. He squinted, cupping a hand over them as they burned like the sun, and then went out with pops. "Doctor? Have you fallen and brained yourself?" he called immediately, hearing the scuffling of feet again. Time Lord vision was a bit better than human, but the other man had moved pretty far away. "Yeah, I'm fine, I'm getting a text." The Master saw a small, artificial light, and grimaced as it started moving towards them. If that idiot fell...

Hime:
Kid, still holding the phone, turned to Aizen. "Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?" His face was as white as a sheet. "This AIDAN creature is now where Sable used to be, in power. Sable can work these phones." He showed the other guy the screen of the phone. "So, what happens when this knew guy can work them? What power Sable had, to bring people here, to do who knows what? That voice didn't sound any better than Sable."

"Never heard of them," said Conan to Buck, shaking his head. He pocketed the phone, expecting it to be useful sometime in the future.
"But I'm starting to wonder how it will affect us. You have to admit, Sable at least knew what to do when in charge. He hadn't caused any problems," Conan pursed his lips and frowned. That was a lie, he had caused major problems. But none of them had hurt anyone, at least that he knew of. "But that voice didn't sound like it would have our interests at heart. Maybe we should find this Hanna person."

Stranger Things: (I'm reading through the old RP posts for this group and laughing so hard. This group is so dysfunctional. XD )
Myrnin, who had sight ten times better than a human (at least in the dark), could see everything very clearly. The light that came from the phone was the only thing that really could be seen near them. A few lights peppered the blackness, but that was about it. Myrnin, in his shock, had calmed down. He darted on swift feet along the path of junk that the Doctor had walked a few seconds ago. He came to a stop a few feet ahead of him and tried to look down at the face of the phone. "And what does it say?" he asked, not really able to see. Plus, the light from the phone was messing with his night vision. The lights flickered and the faint voice from the loudspeakers could just barely be heard. Myrnin turned his head to look back in the direction of the Museum, frowning. "Could either of you here that?" he asked.

broken and LarkHanna had a look of pure distress on her face. "I don't hate him. He doesn't hate me, not when he's sane. I don't want to fight him." Her hands were fists and she was looking down again. "What he did? What didn't he do?" He closed her eyes, remember how AIDAN, in his sick way, had tried to 'protect' the two ships in his care. "He destroyed a ship, Noé. A whole ship of people who had been sworn protection. He took damage in a battle, his system was damaged, and he had my friend and his copilots fire on a ship!" Tears where in her eyes. The log, of names and faces, all the dead... People she had known. Cared about. And that had been AIDAN, protecting them from a sickness he felt, in his insane way, would threaten the other ships. "In the end the only people who made it out alive, from all the thousands in those three ships, were two people and AIDAN! If it hadn't been for that computer program, I'd be dead too. I though that I'd halted the corruption... but Sable or something has taken those protects away and the damage will grow!" (Try having a fav character in that series. AIDAN nearly died too. Why does my fav character have to be a crazy computer? It's an awesome series, though.)

mintedstar/fur As the world was plunged into darkness, the computer clattered to the floor. Quote reached down to pick it up, worried that AIDaN had been broken somehow, but let out a sigh of relief when he heard the AI's voice. Which had come from somewhere else. "AIDAN? Where are you?" Quote called. The way AIDAN's voice had echoed, it had probably come from a loudspeaker. It was also not distorted anymore. Was he fixed, or.. did he completely snap? Quote had a sinking feeling that it was the latter.

Hopefully one of the relics around here was an iPhone charger, because his old junky phone would die quickly to light the way for them.

The Doctor basically shoved the phone into Myrnin's hands so that he could read it as he tried to listen to what was going on in the Museum. But, The Master was closer and after a moment the other Time Lord turned around and informed, "It said 'he's no in control anymore.' I guess we've got a new friend, eh boys?" He smiled in the dark, and The Doctor could just barely make out his teeth as he picked his way across the junk mound, sneakers thumping as he headed towards them.

mintedstar/fur LarkNoé frowned at Hanna, waving his hands out in front of him. "Oh oh I'm sorry to hear that! I didn't mean to make you cry, miss," he said softly, then nodded at Windsinger. "What he said, we're willing to help you stop AIDAN from whatever he has planned so he can't kill anyone else." He then paused. That was strange to say. Was it possible to die if you're already dead? He shook his head, looking around some. "What can we use against this computer?"

Mint:
The darkness hadn't affected Aizen as much as the others. When you spend years imprisoned and surrounded by it, one tends to get used to darkness. But that didn't mean he could see in the dark, and did feel relieved when the lights had come back on. He peered over at Kid's phone and read the message. "I suppose he could send us messages to lead us astray, or something along those lines. My question is, if it's turned off will he still be able to control it?"
~~~
Mint, Arlo, stranger, Rowlet:
"I think we should go find her too, deal with this AIDAN guy if we can find him along with Hanna," Nyx said, voicing his input. However his mind was also still on his weapons. Sable had mentioned the first fight, if they walked in on the middle of it he didn't want to be unarmed. "He sounds crazy to me," Kagura commented off-hand, referring to AIDAN. She stood with her hands clasped behind her back, umbrella held in between them. "Yeah, that too," Nyx grunted. He then looked out at the rest of the group to propose an idea. "Look, we don't know what we'll be dealing with looking for this Hanna. If I may, I think those of us who can fight should start looking for her. Those who are missing things will continue to search. Thoughts?"
Quote had a sinking feeling that it was the latter. AIDAN had to worry about Sable. They were trying to do something, maybe just make the AI annoyed. Whatever it was, it was working. AIDAN couldn't pay to much attention to the museum for a little. When he finally got a couple of seconds the AI tried to figure out where he was. It seemed to be a computer room. A monitor, plus a lot of other items you might see in an office. Where it was, AIDAN could only just pinpoint. He turned his attention back to the Museum. Quote had just picked up the computer, which, on second thought, was probably very dangerous. Hanna could use that if she wanted to stop him. (What AIDAN couldn't think about in his current state, was that what he did would be the main reason Hanna would try to stop him.) AIDAN had full control of every piece of machinery in the Museum. So, he detonated the computer. It exploded, sending shrapnel everywhere. If it had been a human holding it... (I figured I might be able to get away with this since it says in Quote's form that he has 'enhanced durability'. Plus, I wanted to cause some problems for your character since he hasn't run into any yet. Hope that's okay. )
