{ well, Thelma's 19 so he could be older or younger than her that's not really helpful but if I had to guess I'd say Hannah's in her early twenties u-u
hum witchy power... maybe some plant magic?
oh! also! before I forget we were thinking that during the raid two more people could accidentally be kidnapped along with the prince and princess would you like one of your characters to take up that role? }

( well until they pull this off the pirates still have a 0% success rate so that's too much of a risk poison the wine? employ a handmaiden to cut off her air supply with a corset? the possibilities are endless )They'd all known this way was coming, of course, but it always was different when a big day actually arrived least. The slow, dreamlike anticipation beforehand fizzled away into nothingness. Everything, until the day - no, even until the moment - it happens, always feels like not much more than a prospect. More like a vague plan which could be changed at any moment, like a hundred different possibilities were still swimming around, even though in reality an arranged marriage was far more solid than some half-assed idea their mother and the Night King dreamt up for a laugh. Still, until they ended sitting here in the cathedral, the prospect of their little sister getting married - married - felt like a distant dream. Only now was there that sense of everything coming to a crescendo.
And yet, the buzz of excitement dulled and dimmed when Thelma found her way to the end of the aisle, and her eyes cast out to seek her sister's. They were underwater, and everyone else's happiness and excitement was up there on the surface; no matter how close you got, the picture would always distort, and the sound and the feeling would never really reach, and you'd always feel impossibly distanced from it all. It was a strange silent exchange to witness from the outside. Unspoken words and feelings that he couldn't guess. Thelma with the weight of her imminent marriage on her shoulders; Hannah with that of one day running the court of hers. For the thousandth time he felt the flooding relief and the twinge of hurt at having neither and never truly being able to understand even the idea of such heavy burdens. Once again he was just there, watching, knowing the logic of everything that was unfolding before them but knowing none of it really felt right. Just smiling faintly, because if he didn't know how to feel about it then he figured he may as well what mother would want. Or what she might want, if she remembered to want for him to do anything in particular in the first place.
Hannah's face did not show the emotions a wedding for a princess should supposedly denote. She looked the very opposite of pleased and excited, and Cassian found himself wishing he'd asked her before how she was actually feeling about all this. He'd seen her pacing around before, but had spent his own time before they reached St. Priscilla's and before they were to be seated flitting about the clusters of people and taking in the excitement of being surrounded by all these different people, and it was Thelma and her husband-to-be who had been the centre of all of that conversation. Honestly, his other sister had not really crossed his mind as of late. Now, he was left unable to figure out what his elder sister was feeling from just her expression. He wasn't must good at that. Not that he was going to start feeling too sorry for Hannah - she got her fair share of the attention and then some.
What did it matter,what any of them thought or felt or wanted anyway? This was happening. A done deal. Sister: sold. What were they going to do, swoop down from the high ceilings and sweep her off the altar? Conduct and impromptu assassination? Open a secret trapdoor and watch Prince Tamlin fall into empty space? Cass couldn't help but smile just a little bit at the thought. It would be a shame to damage that handsome face, though. At least she was marrying a fae prince - there was never much worry about him being ugly, and to Cass, for whatever reason, that was surprisingly effective consolation. Nothing of his personality could be judged by appearances though. Besides, at an occasion like this, everyone was acting, at least a little bit. Best behaviour. At least trying to feign the appropriate emotions if anybody was looking.
This Prince Tamlin Wolfsong did look rather boring to Cassian, though, and he turned to Hannah to say exactly that, only to realise just in time that this was indubitably a time for keeping one's mouth shut. He turned around quickly, clamped his teeth as a reminder, and painted the appropriate smile on his face, because this was a wedding, and weddings were happy, and plenty of people here were happy (even if not the right people). At least Thelma looked like she was feeling something - Prince Tamlin looked like you could open him up and only see cogs and strings right now. I suppose weddings don't seem so big when you'll have plenty more in a lifetime. Still, wouldn't the first one at least be a big deal? Or maybe everything just stops being exciting after the first century or so of life. Or maybe he was just putting on a face, or maybe he had minimal facial muscle movement, or maybe he was thinking about something else entirely, or maybe he was just concentrating really, really hard. Or maybe you should worry about your sister instead of staring at His Immortal Highness's face? Hey, good advice, brain.
Shaking his head very slightly as if to physically clear his mind of thoughts, he focused on the words being projected through the cathedral, glad for something to focus on to shut his thoughts off. Not so glad that they were the words to seal his younger sister's fate.

Poor Lou would just be so upset that someone would ever ruin a good cake by poisoning it.

{{ Wonderful, shiny, amazing gold was what Lou could see in his and his crew's very close future. He could almost taste the metallic coins, that's how close they were to it. However, he wouldn't let himself get too far ahead. They hadn't completed their mission, after all. He was still crouched in the darkness, silently waiting, counting down the seconds in his head with a grin.
One.
The prince and princess were staring at each other with something far different than love or affection. It wasn't the usual emotions one would show during a wedding. There was fear, he could see, and concern. Horror, perhaps. Hesitation. Nothing that would indicate that either of them truly wanted this. They find each other to be physically attractive, but their was nothing beyond that. No bond or emotional connections. Nothing.
Two.
Even the guests, with their pretty dresses and crisp suits, didn't look like your typical witnesses. Some were happy, he noted, but some were much more wary. There were the excited guests and there were the disappointed ones. A few were just plain horrified and disapproving. Lou would hate to be the one getting married in a crowd as clearly divided in terms of feelings as this one was.
Quietly, Lou took a step forward, his boots making no noise on the ground. He put his left hand on the handle of his short sword, polished and golden, crafted into the shape of a serpent. A soft click sounded as he began to unsheath it, its blade as dark an ebony as his own black curls. The sword had as much of a reputation, as many legends and tales, as the captain did himself. Some called it cursed, others claimed that it had been made by evil witches. Whether or not those things were true, the weapon was a large part of himself. It was a part of his life, he liked to think, his own soul.
Three.
Lou stood up and dashed forward, simultaneously putting his right hand to his mouth. A sharp, shrill whistle filled the air, the noise bouncing off the walls of the large room. He'd sprung from his hiding place in the ceiling rafters and onto one of the stunning chandeliers that could have made them richer than they could ever hope to be. With his sword, he hacked at its supports swiftly, then made a hasty retreat onto the a nearby banister as the cords snapped loudly and the whole thing came crashing down.
In the middle of the deafening destruction of crystal and glass, flames from the candles setting the pristine, velvety carpet alight, Lou cackled. "What a lovely weddin'! Ain't it a shame that nobody invited 'lil ol' Lou?" He spoke in a clear voice, one that was heavily and thickly accented, but unmistakable. "I love parties, y'know! Woulda been a hell of a time." }}
