Warning~~ This fanfic is about cats with powers. This fanfic also contains serious love twists. Read at your own risk.
~~Chapter one~~
Luna and Sky padded silently through the meadow. The brother and sister were polar opposites, especially since Sky had powers. The bright sky shone down upon the two, searing it’s heat into them. It was a hot day after the chilled night, and both of the cats were suffering. Luna, an albino she-cat, padded along silently behind her pitch black brother. She stamped the ground hard, her short white fur becoming a bit tan with the dust she stirred. “Worry not, sister.” Sky murmured, his green eyes flicking back to Luna. “We’re safe.” His powers began to heat his chest as the pitch black cat began to lose control due to emotions. He didn’t know how to control his powers, he only simply knew that the fire within was something to be feared. The fire had even taken Luna’s voice away from her. Every time the tom thought about what he had done to his sister, he would slowly lose control until he calmed himself enough to know that she was alright. Luna however, had no powers that she knew of. She was born normal, although she was always at her brother’s side, even in the darkest times. Luna was the only one who ever truly understood her sick brother.
Somewhere across the meadow, a silver she-cat sat. Snow surrounded her, even in the heat of the day. It was hardly melting, and little flurries began to consume her. Frost was her name. Her powers were tied to her emotions, just as Sky’s. The she-cat had icy blue eyes to match her cold powers. The cold surged through her as her paws blasted with another plume of snow. When it was over, she heard a tom’s voice. Immediately, she began running for the trees, knowing it was useless because of the frozen paw prints she left behind.
As this is still a WIP, I will be editing this post to add on to the story.

~~Chapter 2~~
Sky sniffed the air. Luna noticed her brother’s strange behavior and stamped her paw again. Giving a low hiss, Luna asked what Sky was doing. “There’s someone else here.” he murmured, looking at Frost’s frozen tracks. Luna’s eyes widened. Sky began losing control of his powers once more. His back erupted into boiling hot flames, although they didn’t burn his skin. Luna stepped in front of her brother, signaling him to calm down. Painfully, Sky began to hiss and the flames receded into his body. That was the only thing painful for Sky.
Frost saw the flames recede. Her icy blue eyes opened with wonder, although she was still scared. Almost flying up a tree, the she-cat gained cover and an advantage. Sky saw the icy tracks and began following them. Slowly but surely, he found the silver she-cat. Luna was quick to follow her brother. The pure-white she-cat looked up at the other. One like my brother! She thought, smiling and placing her front paws on the tree and giving signals to come down. Sky, concerned that Luna’s signals wouldn’t be enough, coaxed his sister away and did the same, but with his voice. “Come, we aren’t here to harm you.” He mewed, placing his paws on the tree. “How do I know that?! What Clan are you from?!” Frost demanded. “I’m afraid our Clan was destroyed.” Sky replied, his eyes slowly glazing over with pain and sorrow. His paws dropped, and he sat down. “I will only come down if you tell me your name.” Frost hissed. “Sky. Over here, the bouncy little she-cat is Luna, my sister.” He mewed, staring up at Frost.
Slowly, the second she-cat began to climb down, her paws still leaving behind little ice tracks. “My name is Frost.” She mewed cautiously, stepping onto the ground. The grass felt so soft under her frozen paws. Wait, I can feel the grass? She thought, looking up at Sky. “Why did you run from us?” He asked, heat filling the ground around him. “I thought you were- never mind.” She mewed in reply. Luna felt as if she should leave the two to their talking, saying as she could not. Scattering a bit of grass to signal she was leaving for a bit, she leaped into the bushes.

~~Chapter 3~~ After a bit of talking and getting to know each other, Frost and Sky were slowly starting to form a deep friendship. Neither of them revealed their pasts to each other, and neither of them asked. Simply, they talked. Luna however was much more busy than her brother and the she-cat. Her hunt was going well. She had already caught two squirrels and a mouse, and she was willing to hunt a bit more, but now she was exploring the area, something she often did. Her white pelt glittered under the flickering sunlight as she dodged fallen branches and ran beneath the trees. It seemed to be much cooler there in the thin forest than in the open meadow. In her play, she began to become more and more afraid of her surroundings, and with good reason. A rusty colored tom padded nearby. He was from Frost’s old Clan. The large tom was heading straight for Luna unknowingly. Luna slowed her race to a walk. The mute she-cat began to growl lowly, hissing and spitting occasionally to show her stance. Luna had always been known for being defensive. Immediately, the tom noticed Luna’s presence. He leaped over one of the bushes and bowled over her. Luna spat, fighting bravely for the thin she-cat she was, but the tom was stronger and he pinned her down easily. “Who are you?!” He spat in her face. Luna didn’t answer, signals or tongue. Her mouth moved, making no sound. The tom took interest, letting the she-cat go. Luna, a bit bloodied up, stood, coughing a bit. Her tail flicked towards the sky. “Sun? Solar? Sky?” The giant rusty tom asked, his voice still filled with aggression. Luna flicked her ears and shook her head. “Moon? Luna? Star?” he asked again. She stamped her paw twice, showing the second option was his answer. The she-cat bared her fangs defiantly, standing in an attack stance. “My name’s Oak. You must be mute.” He said, his position not like that of the other. Luna flicked her tail defiantly. The wind hushed in the area, and Luna felt an odd feeling in her chest. Is this tom cute? She asked herself, still standing and hissing defensively. Nope. “Something… Something’s different about you….” Oak murmured. The ground was damp, and the water started slowly rising from the ground, but was forced back down into puddles. Luna’s aggression turned into curiosity. Her head tilted and her paws lightly trodden the ground, asking, What was that? Do you have powers?

~~Chapter 4~~
Frost and Sky were soon cuddling. Frost opened her closed eyes and she immediately got up and backed away. “Sorry.” She muttered. Idiot! How could anyone love you? How could you let this happen?! She asked herself. Years of telling herself that no one could love her had gotten to her head. “About what?” Sky asked, fearing he had accidentally burned her. Both knew about each other’s powers, but neither feared them. Sky only feared himself. “It’s just me.” She answered, slowly creeping away from the tom. He had given her warmth, something that she hadn’t felt. Ever. Her eyes didn’t meet Sky’s. “No, tell me.” he mewed, stepping in front of the exiting she-cat. He nuzzled her, showing that he wouldn’t judge. Frost sat down. “Do you promise to believe me?” “Promise.” “Okay…” she mewed, pausing for a moment, then continuing. “In my old Clan, cats looked at me different… I know, it sounds fine, but it’s what I was accused of. I always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. My mother and littermates died of greencough, and the others accused me of killing them.” she said, tears forming in her eyes. “Our leader was the only one to see me differently. And my friend, who is no longer my friend. One morning, when I was in the leader’s den, he died of an infected injury.” She said, almost crying. “I was accused and chased out of the Clan.” Sky nodded. “I suppose I should tell you about my past now…” he mewed, thinking about Luna. “We were born from great parents. We grew up with fun. But I was always treated differently. Looked at as if I were a monster. “There were several things that happened. Blackcough wiped out over half of our Clan… The survivors were about ten. Luna and I were the only of our family to survive. The leader was dead. The deputy was killed….. Nobody blamed me yet. “Until the fire. I had lost control of my power one night, almost wiping out the rest of the Clan. I killed so many on accident….” Sky stopped for a moment, a chunk of sadness forming in his throat. “Luna lost her voice that night. She inhaled so much smoke… She was trapped in the flames. The medicine cat told us she’d never speak again…” He said, bursting into tears. Frost curled around the crying tom. She too began weeping. Both shared the same past, with different edges.
