Hey guys! So, most of you probably know what a Warriors What-if is. If you don't, it's an opinion of what would've happened if something did or didn't happen. For example, What if Rusty never joined ThunderClan. I'm going to write down what I think might have happened if something in the series had been different. I hope you enjoy them!
Chapter 1 - What if Bluestar never gave away her kits?
Bluefur looked at her newborn kits.
"Two she-cats and a tom." Featherwhisker meowed.
"They're so beautiful." Bluefur murmured.
"Would you like me to get Thrushpelt?" Featherwhisker asked.
Bluefur shook her head. "Not yet."
"I'll leave you to rest." Featherwhisker padded out of the den.
Bluefur looked at the three kits, wriggling next to her belly. I need to name them. First she looked at the grey-blue tom. He looked just like Bluefur. I'm going to name them after things in RiverClan. She decided. So that they'll always have Oakheart and RiverClan in their hearts.
"Stonekit." Bluefur meowed, lick Stonekit's pelt.
She turned to the she-cat next to him. It looked just like Stonekit.
"Mistykit."
Lastly, she turned to the smallest kit. She didn't look like her siblings. She was grey and white.
"Mosskit. Stonekit, Mistykit and Mosskit." Bluefur murmured before resting her head on the moss and falling asleep.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a Clan meeting!" At Sunstar's call, Stonekit, Mistykit and Mosskit tumbled out of the nursery.
"A Clan meeting!" Stonekit squeaked.
"Come on Bluefur!" Mistykit squealed.
"Please can we watch!" Mosskit turned to Bluefur with round, pleading eyes.
"Okay. As long as you're quiet." Bluefur purred.
When the Clan had gathered, Sunstar spoke,
"It is with great sadness that I announce, Tawnyspots is moving to the Elders' den."
There were few gasps of shock and the Clan murmured amongst themselves.
"Thistleclaw, will be the new deputy of ThunderClan." Sunstar announced.
Bluefur felt a cold shiver run down her spine. He'll destroy ThunderClan! She watched as the dark grey tom stood up.
"Thank you, Sunstar." He meowed.
Bluefur looked at Thistleclaw. His eyes gleamed. Thistleclaw is a blood-thirsty and dangerous cat! ThunderClan is in great danger. What can I do?
"Whitestorm, you will mentor Mosspaw." Bluefur watched as her kit touched noses with her new mentor. She's only three moons old! It had been less than a moon since Sunstar had been slaughtered by a dog and Thistleclaw had become Clan leader.
"Mistypaw! Stonepaw! Mosspaw!" The Clan cheered, but they're voices were full of worry more than warmth.
"Tomorrow at dawn we shall attack WindClan!" Thistlestar announced.
Bluefur's pelt prickled with fear. Surely he wouldn't take my kits into battle? They haven't had any training!
The next dawn, Bluefur watched as Mistypaw, Mosspaw and Stonepaw lined up behind they're mentors by the camp entrance. Bluefur had kept telling Thistlestar that her kits were too young to fight and that they'd had no training but he'd ignored her. Mosspaw cast a look at Bluefur, her eyes flickering with fear.
"You'll be fine." Bluefur meowed, hoping it was true.
"We're leaving!" Thistlestar yowled, leading his cats to WindClan.
StarClan watch over them! Bluefur prayed.
It felt like moons until Thistlestar finally padded into camp. He had blood smeared on his pelt and a torn ear but his eyes gleamed.
"We won!" He announced.
Bluefur sighed with relief when Mistypaw and Stonepaw walked into the camp. They're safe. But where is Mosspaw?
Whitestorm was the last cat to walk into to camp. And in his mouth was a small, limp body.
"No!" Bluefur shrieked, racing across the clearing to Whitestorm.
"I'm sorry." Whitestorm murmured, gently laying Mosspaw's body on the ground.
"No, no, no, no. She's not dead, she can't be!" Bluefur buried her muzzle in her daughter's fur. There was no heartbeat. She's gone.
Thistlestar padded up to Bluefur, with his deputy Tigerclaw behind him.
"Oh, she's dead. Shame. She would have made a good fighter." Thistlestar stared at Mosspaw's body.
Bluefur bristled. "Mosspaw is dead! And she wasn't even four moons old! This is you're fault!" She snarled.
Thistlestar curled his lip. "She died because she was weak! Just like you! ThunderClan is strong and one day we shall rule the whole forest!"
He whipped around and walked up the slope to the leader's den. Bluefur rested her head on Mosspaw's body. I'm sorry, my daughter. You should never have died. But now you're in StarClan with Moonflower and Snowfur. They will care for you. Goodbye....
Moons came and went. Bluefur had watched Stonepaw and Mistypaw get their warrior names: Stonestrike and Mistyclaw. She also watched her Clanmates get exiled because they refused to do what Thistlestar said. Thrushpelt, Leopardfoot and Rosetail were no longer in ThunderClan and Bluefur had never felt more alone. Thistlestar had driven WindClan and RiverClan from their territories and was now fighting ShadowClan everyday. He would not stop until he had power over the whole forest.
"We've nearly destroyed ShadowClan!" Thistlestar yowled, walking into camp.
Tigerclaw, Stonestrike and the rest of the Clan followed behind him. Bluefur narrowed her eyes. Mistyclaw wasn't there.
"Where is my daughter?" Bluefur asked.
"Mistyclaw? Oh, we left her behind. She was wounded badly. There was no point in bringing her back to camp. Spottedleaf couldn't have done anything." Thistlestar meowed casually.
"You left her?" Bluefur hissed with anger and raced out of camp.
I'm coming Mistyclaw!
Bluefur ran and ran until she reached the ShadowClan border. And there, in the open clearing, lay Mistyclaw.
"Mistyclaw!" Bluefur yowled.
She rushed over to her daughter.
"Mother?" Mistyclaw croaked.
There was a large wound on her side and blood gushed out of it. Bluefur held her paw against it but the blood kept coming.
"I have to get you back to camp! Spottedleaf will know what to do!" Bluefur tried to get her daughter onto her shoulders.
"Stop. There's nothing anyone can do." Mistyclaw murmured quietly.
"No, no. I can't lose you! You can't die!" Bluefur cried.
"You've been such a great mother, Bluefur."
Bluefur licked her daughter between the ears. After a few moments, Mistyclaw whispered,
"Goodbye"
And her heart stopped beating. Bluefur let out a yowl of sadness. Thistleclaw did this! Mistyclaw shouldn't have died like this!
Bluefur sat with her daughter's body for the whole night and at dawn, she buried her. Bluefur walked sadly back to camp. Thistlestar was on the High Rock and when he saw Bluefur, he leapt down.
"You're exiled from ThunderClan." He meowed.
Bluefur's pelt spiked. "What?"
"You're exiled. You are weak and of no use to me. Leave the Clan now." Thistlestar growled.
Bluefur stared at the Clan in shock. None of them are protesting. She looked at Stonestrike. Her son shuffled his paws. Not even Stonestrike. They're too scared of Thistlestar.
Bluefur didn't argue. She just walked out of camp. This is not the ThunderClan I knew. Bluefur walked into the forest and through the trees. She kept going until she arrived at the Thunderpath. Bluefur stepped onto it and waited. There was a loud roaring and a Monster raced towards her. She closed her eyes. I'm coming kits....
So, if Bluestar never gave away her kits:
- Mosskit would still have died, but she would have become an apprentice.
- Thistlestar would become Clan leader.
- Mistypaw and Stonepaw's warrior names would have been Mistyclaw and Stonestrike instead of Mistyfoot and Stonefur.
- Bluefur would have been exiled and then killed herself on the Thunderpath.
- RiverClan and WindClan would have been driven away from their territories.
Hope you enjoyed it
