Mako turned his gaze to Jay and waved his hand. "Hey there. Um I'm Mako and frankly I don't know what's going on." He said giving him the honest answer.

[Jay is probably close enough to see Mako but he isn't in the kitchen]
Jay introduced himself, "I'm Jay, and I'm very lost." He laughed, "What is this place? Do you live here?"

He followed her, keeping match with her pace even though he was a few steps behind. While he had picked up the scent as well, he knew it was better to work together. That was the important thing in gaining trust with any creature.

Mako walks over and stops in front of him. "Nope, I came here intending to loot or ask directions. I met some guy but he didn't give me much answers. What about you"?

The sleek gray she-wolf was in pursuit of a large, beaver-like animal. (Think capybara in size.) She'd tried hunting them when she was younger, but the creature had proved too much and she'd had to leave with an empty stomach and several deep bites. Perhaps with this newcomer's help, she wouldn't be bested this time... At last, she spotted a group of them hanging out around the edge of the creek. The largest male slapped his tail on the water, signaling for the others to retreat to safety. All of them immediately hopped back into the water and began swimming away, save for one. He'd been too far from the water's edge and was now making a break for it. Catori bolted towards the fleeing animal and tried to cut it off from entering back into the creek. Once these animals entered the water, there was no catching them.

[forums are deleting my posts again... I just remembered where I heard that name! You watch a lot of anime?] (Somewhat. I know it's the name of a Fullmetal Alchemist character, but there's no connection between the two. I just thought it sounded sophisticated and fit his personality well, lol) One of Alfonse's thin, brown eyebrows lifted itself, as if he could tell the girl was acting suspiciously. Luckily for Aurora, he knew that questioning her among the company of others would likely get him nowhere, and besides, he had no desire to make her feel uncomfortable; each person is entitled to their own secrets. He smiled, and nodded. "Well, in that case, thank you, Miss. I'll return the book for the time being." He lifted the heavy book, and began to exit the kitchen. "I'll return in a moment." After having returned the book, Alfonse made his way back into the kitchen.

[Qtip - oh ok. I got excited there for a second. lol.]
"I was just walking around the woods behind my house and I got lost. Somehow I ended up here. I don't remember hearing anyone talk about this place though. It must be a well kept secret or something." He paused, "Now it's getting dark and I can't see well at night. Do you know who the owner is? This place is so big, surely he wouldn't mind me staying just for the night. If he doesn't have a car, maybe I can find my way back home in the morning." He shrugged.

(FMA was at one point my best friend's favorite anime, though. I never got to finish it. Most anime just isn't intriguing enough for me to stay interested very long, with the exceptions of Fairy Tail, Death Note, Attack on Titan, and Ajin: Demi-human.)

Aurora had managed to regain some semblance of composure while Alfonse was gone, and began to set the table up for the fish and various vegetables. So many people had been showing up that she'd prepared more than enough food. She still wasn't sure if she was alright with having so many strangers staying there, but she was kidding herself if she believed she hadn't been lonely, and she was starting to warm up to the idea of having other people to talk to. Well, besides Catori. She loved the wolf, but always felt like something was missing. In truth, she wanted to be around other people. She just wasn't used to it yet. And then with Alfonse's questioning... she hoped he didn't bring it up again. If she got too upset over it, it would not end well...

Alfonse seated himself at the table, and his stomach gave its loudest growl yet. His cheeks reddened, and he patted the organ into submission before adjusting his glasses. "So, Miss, what sorts of fish have you prepared?" Alfonse had hoped the question would relieve her discomfort entirely.
As Ferra walked, the sound of splashing water reached her ears, and she wondered what all the commotion could be about. After a moment's hesitation, she turned, and followed the sound. Though she kept her distance, she could see two wolves up ahead, hunting, and wondered briefly if there were a pack nearby.

(I've only watched the first season of Fairy Tail, honestly. Lol If you have Netflix, I highly recommend Ajin. It's definitely not as happy as Fairy Tail, and really is very dark, but it's an amazing anime.)

It was different now with Sasha, the minute the creature headed towards the water he broke free from the she-wolf and headed down another away scaled crimson wings growing from his sides. A wolf with wings had more skills than one without. And if the creature went into the water he could still track it in the air.

"I'm not sure of the species name, but I assure you it won't taste bad." Aurora set a plate and a set of utensils down in front of him. She also made up extra plates, in case any others showed up. (look at the above link if you wanna know what the food looks like)
Right on cue, Peter slid in the chair next to Alfonse. He was expecting vegetables again, and was both surprised and delighted to see fish was on the menu. "You mean we could have been eating fish, and you'd been serving vegetables??"
Aurora chose to ignore that retort. She felt she owed no explanation.

Catori was so dead focused on the rodent, she hadn't even noticed the other wolf's sudden appearance of wings. She growled and snapped at the animal, forbidding it access into the water. As the rodent realized it couldn't go anywhere, it stood up and bore it's long teeth at the wolf, daring her to come any closer. Catori's ears lay back at the sudden display, remembering how badly those teeth hurt.

All of the sudden Sasha appeared out from behind the creature and took the air, he then dropped onto the creatures back forcing it back down on all fours as he sunk his teeth into its neck and his claws dug deep into the hide. he looked at the other waiting for her to join him.

The oversized rodent let out a shrill screaming sound when Sasha suddenly appeared and bit into it. If Catori hadn't been so desperate to complete the hunt, she might have stopped and gawked. However, food took top priority right now and she leaped onto the rodent and tore into it on the opposite end. The animal struggled against the two predators, but it was futile. Catori bit deeper and the animal began moving less and less.

Alfonse gave the younger boy a somewhat amused smirk, before analyzing his own plate. He waited for the others to take their seats, and lifted his utensil, waiting for his cue to begin eating.
Ferra gasped softly, and covered her mouth upon watching the two wolves make their kill. Although she understood clear the laws of nature, the girl still felt an immeasurable amount of heartbreak upon watching an animal meet its demise. She waited until the creature had silenced, and turned her gaze back towards the predators. A small crease appeared between her eyebrows upon noticing the one with wings, and she briefly wondered if he was perhaps a shapeshifter, and could help her find her way through the forest. She made the decision to wait until the two had finished their meal, however.

Peter needed no cue and wasn't about to wait for anyone else. He immediately dug into his food. Normally he'd eat around the vegetables, but while gone, he'd done something to ensure that this meal would taste better. He would have done so a lot sooner, had the stupid device been working right.
Aurora was mildly astonished when he tore into the vegetables, but didn't make her surprise known. She sat opposite of them and timidly began eating her own plate of food. There was hardly any fish on her plate, and she only picked at it occasionally like a child would their broccoli.

[Oh no, poor rat!
I sympathise with Ferra. I can't stand to see an animal hurt. I wanted to go vegetarian years ago, but my rents wouldn't have it. I still eat fish, but only to keep them from giving me heck over it. Like it's any of their dang business what I want to eat.]

(It's more of a giant muskrat or beaver, but yeah. XD I only eat poultry and seafood. Occasionally beef. Never pork. Pigs are so cute and so smart that I just can't do it. Parents shouldn't keep their kids from being vegetarian if that's what they really want. As long as they still get a source of protein, there's nothing wrong with it.)

Alfonse followed suit after the two of them. His table manners were that of a fine-bred gentleman. The only sounds seemed to be the climking of utensils on plates, and the chewing. Alfonse despised the sound of anyone eating; it made him quite uncomfortable, and so he decided to start a conversation to help pass the time. "May I ask, are the two of you siblings?" He motioned between Aurora ans Peter. "You happen to be the only two individuals I've noticed that your pet-- correct me if I'm wrong-- wolf has a fondness for. If so, do your parents also inhabit this home?"

(My sophomore year of high school, I was completely vegetarian for a week after watching some very gruesome slaughterhouse videos in agriculture. I almost threw up in class several times... I still feel guilty every time I eat meat. but right now I don't have the means to be vegetarian.)

(And really, humans are supposed to eat less meat than veggies and fruits and other things. The way our bodies are built, we aren't predators. Our arteries are so little and most of our teeth are flat.)

Aurora suddenly froze mid-bite, her expression unreadable.
Peter nearly gagged on the bite he'd already began to chew. He hurriedly swallowed, and grinned, "You thought we're brother and sister?" He chuckled, "Nope! I've only been here about a month. It took a while for Catori to warm up to me. She's shy, but seems to really enjoy being scratched behind her left ear. That's how I earned her trust." He paused to take another bite, the proceeded to continue speaking with food still in his mouth, "Technically, I ran away from home. I'm not sure about Aurora though. She's never mentioned her parents." He turned to the girl, and her cheeks flushed, "So what of them?" He continued forking food into his mouth.
With barely any emotion, Aurora replied that her parents were dead. Then she calmly resumed eating, as though they were discussing the weather.

[Dude... I have a serious problem with teachers who force students to watch crap like that. It's ridiculous. I'm going full vegetarian as soon as I have the means to move out. I probably won't completely give up cheese though. I love it too much.
I told them that too. My dad loves meat and he's soooo fat. Lol.)
