The manticore let out a deep, rumbling growl and lay down on the ground. His tail twitched agitatedly as his stomach ached painfully. Never had a meal reacted this way, and it wasn't happy.
Peter disappeared like a streak into the woods, not willing to stick around and chance Aurora getting angrier with him.
Aurora pinched the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes, still appearing perturbed, but less so, "It's fine. He's just being a rude little brat. I'll get him back for it later." She was already plotting up ideas for revenge.
Deep in the woods, nestled securely in a hollowed out place beneath a tree, rested a small quivering animal of some sort.

Pandora slipped into the kitchen, then halted when she realized it was already occupied by two other people. She didn't recognize Lani, but her eyes narrowed upon seeing Bell. Great... Her again... I hope she doesn't try to hug me again.

Mason watched him leave with a raised eyebrow. He was quite quick when he needed to be. He couldn't help but chuckle slightly when she said that. "You two sound like siblings." He remarked. He thought Aurora would get on well with Cliff, a Corgi and Butterfly hybrid, that is if she could deal with him always getting distracted by something. It would never happen though. "I promise I wont tell anyone about this." He said, finally looking down at her for a moment.

Alfonse giggled as he felt the beast lie down. He was beginning to grow light headed. A few tickles and prods later, he felt himself collapse into the pool of acid, and stopped breathing. Almost immediately after, Alfonse's head broke the surface, covered in gunk. He knew the beast wouldn't possibly be able to digest him, and so he resolved with a disgusted sigh to aid the digestive system in doing its job. He should have thought about the repercussions, he supposed.
Ferra had wandered into the forest in the hopes that she would find some tranquility among the various elements of nature residing in the forest. She ambled along in a peaceful manner, her eyes focused on nothing in particular.

Aurora let out the breath she was holding in a tired sigh, "I appreciate that." She relaxed somewhat, "You're actually not the first person to think we act like siblings. I never had any real brothers or sisters, so I can't really compare it. Though, if it's anything like Peter, I should probably be glad I'm an only child."
(Yeah, Alfonse. You should think before you leap. XD)
The manticore rolled around in the grass, trying to get comfortable as its stomach gurgled and hurt.
The small, white little animal curled up in a ball. Fur and other debris clung to its fur, and from a distance, it might have resembled a dirty white towel.

Alfonse took in a large breath, and forced his way through the beast's digestive tract. Being familiar with anatomy would come in handy.
The barely-lit morning sky was just bright enough for Ferra to catch the shape in her peripheral vision. She halted, and stared at the puppy with a mixture of wonder and confusion. What was such a tiny animal doing out here, so alone? She turned carefully towards the puppy, and as she felt a chill, immediately approached it. "Poor thing is going to catch a cold or worse out here..." She knelt down as she crept towards the animal so as to look less intimidating.

Manny the manticore began rolling around in the grass, letting out shrieks of discomfort as it did so. Fortunately, it wasn't one of the smaller specimans of manticores. This one was the size of a truck, and perfectly large enough to eat at least three people.
The white-ish wolf puppy looked up at Ferra, but it appeared weak and didn't lift its head. Water was plentiful, but the tiny animal had been subsidiziing mostly on plants and insects for a while, and it looked under-fed in addition to unkempt.

He didn't want to make her uncomfortable or worried he'd spill the beans. "Ha, I don't know how you do it, I hate being an only child." He said, amused. Well, he might have a brother or sister, but he'd never know.

Aurora frowned, "I do just fine. Catori is like a sister to me. And, well... some might say Peter counts too. But I'm not exactly sure about that." Several people had mentioned how her life must have been hard, or boring, or lonely, but Aurora didn't think it was any of those things. She'd got along just fine for many years, and liked to think she would have continued to do well by herself. She didn't believe she needed others around to be happy. At times, she was actually uncomfortable being around so many people she didn't know. Aurora was still growing used to that.

Mason tilted his head as she mentioned Catori, but figured that was the wolf she had mentioned earlier. He then tilted his head again. "Why did you start letting people in to stay? I can get why from my perspective, cause I lived and looked after a place like this, but what's your reason?" He asked.

"I was actually forced into it by a girl in another universe who has total control over my thoughts, words and actions. Well, Peter was the first. He'd ran away from home, and there was a severe storm, so I allowed him to stay over night. Then one night turned to several nights, and... I kind of ended up stuck with him. Months later, some more strangers showed up. I didn't feel right about turning them away when I'd allowed Peter to live here, and there's plenty of space, so I just kind of allowed it..." Aurora shrugged, "Sometimes I wonder what I got myself into. But nobody's caused any trouble so far, and I've actually made a few friends... So I suppose it can't be all that bad."

(Sorry for spoofing!) Mason nodded as he listened. it's funny, he didn't even ask about this when he was living at the mansion once. He supposed he was just happy to be there maybe. "Huh. Okay then, we'll it's nice of you to do that, I mean, how old are you?" He asked with a slight smile. He figured she was about fifteen or so and she was doing this?

(It's ok. I was taking Mary-Sue tests for my characters.)
Aurora replied, "I'm sixteen." She'd just turned sixteen a few months earlier. It was easy to remember, as it happened around the same time she first changed into a werewolf. Talk about an unusual birthday present.

(Ooh, How do they work?)
Mason blinked in slight surprise. "You must put s lot of trust in people, that's not an easy thing to do." He remarked, looking around. "If you ever need help with anything around the mansion, I'm always willing." He offered her as he looked at everything. He wondered what else is around in this mansion, or if it's just really the castle. No, there must be other places.

(I'd post a link, but I'm not sure if the rules allow them. Basically, you just go through lists of character traits and check off ones that apply to your character, and the final score tells if your character is too perfect or cliche.)
(Also, Aurora's too trusting, and somewhat naive, heh)
"I appreciate the offer. There's not much around here that requires a lot of upkeep. I normally handle the cooking and cleaning, though I'm not really sure how to cook for more than a dozen people... Maybe if everyone handles their own meals..." She trailed off as she was lost in thought for a moment, "I'm not sure if you know or not, but there's a garden around back. Down the hill is a stream with fish. We have nets for the fish, and bows for other kinds of hunting. There's also an ice house, but I don't use it very much. If you have any other questions about anything, just ask me or Peter." She suppressed a yawn, her sleepiness becoming more evident by the minute.

I always post links myself, though they're usually for songs.) (Yeah I'm a little worried that could come back to bite her. *Thinks of Pan* Oh too late.) Mason blinked and nodded. "Yeah Peter told me about the garden and the stream, though he didn't tell me about an ice house. What is that? Like...a big fridge?" He asked curiously. Suddenly a thought crossed his mind. Did it snow here? Oh boy he hoped so, he loved the cold snow. Then again, this was another dimension with vampires and werewolves, any sort of danger could come with the cold, and that did kinda worry him.

(I haven't seen any problem with Chase. I was mainly taking the test out of curiosity. Aurora got a surprisingly low score. As for the other person... heheheh. Something I gotta work on. Not saying who. The one I take is called the Mary-Sue Litmus test. It's longer than some of the other ones, but a lot more accurate.)
(That's definitely going to present a problem. Pandora is very manipulative, and Aurora is too trusting. Pan is going to take advantage of that even more in the coming month.)
"I'm not sure what a 'fridge' is, but the ice house is a small insulted outdoor room for cold food storage. I normally restock it with fresh ice in the winter, and it'll last the rest of the year as long as the door doesn't get opened too frequently - especially on hot days."

(XD I wonder who it could be...) (Heh, Mason or someone might have to be a bit of an advisor. Ah Mason might be a bit bias though toward Pan, seeing what happened, but he will really do what he can to help her. He best with looking after people and cleaning, not so much decisions. Sorry I'm rambling again.XD) Mason let out a small nice of agreement. "That's basically what a fridge is, only a fridge is smaller and doesn't usually use ice." He explained, then tilted his head. He just remembered that little girl, she said she would come back to this 'house of freaks'. He figured he may ask, just in case. "Hey, has there been anyone here lately? Specifically a little girl, about ten or so?" He asked, looking down at her again.

(Yeah, definitely. She never really learned too many basic social skills, since she hasn't spent a lot of time with people until now. So an advisor would help, and she'd appreciate it.)
Aurora nodded to his explanation. She figured a fridge must be some human invention. To Mason's question, Aurora frowned, "Actually, yes. She's really odd... but I haven't seen her around lately." She remembered Alfonse saying something about the little girl not having a pulse. Aurora agreed that Pandora was really strange, if not creepy, but she didn't really believe Pandora was anything truly dangerous.

He's had a lot of experience with people (since he lives at a place like this, and works at a zoo) so it could work.) Mason sort of rolled his eyes and let out an annoyed huff. "She called this place a house of freaks. Apart from just being rude though, she can make her eyes red, and it made me terrified for no reason." He explained to her with a bit of a scowl. He was surprised he didn't lunge at her. Though it was that or run, and he didn't want to attack her, no matter how strange she was.

(Yup! Man, I want to work at a zoo someday. Maybe after I move back to the city in the next couple of months.) (Actually, her eyes turn black. XD I'll just assume that's what he meant.) Aurora shuddered at that, "I knew she was creepy, but... I guess I had no idea. When one of the other residents found her, he said she didn't have a pulse when he checked and appeared to be dead. Apparently she was just asleep. She was really rude to me and some others, but she hasn't actually hurt anyone... Maybe she'll just stay away." I hope.(Sorry y'all, your problems with that demon child haven't even really began yet. If anyone wants some nightmare fuel, look up "BEK kids". Pandora is loosely based on those.) (Sun's coming up, which means it's bedtime. Sorry DX Night)

"I'm afraid I don't think she will. she mentioned multiple times about returning here. I think we should just keep an eye one her, at least for the time being." He said with a small shrug. He didn't like the girl one bit. Granted there were strange people here, himself included, but she was something else.

Catori went over and sat against a tree, glancing at Kiba every now and then with the look of a satisfied teacher. Aurora wondered what a mansion was, but neglected to ask about it, "Well, just make yourself at home. There's plenty of rooms here — what are you doing?" She suddenly turned and snapped at Peter, eyes narrowed. Peter had finally withdrew the special viewing glass from his back pocket, and was now gaping at Aurora through it as though she'd grown a second head. Which, actually, wasn't too far from the truth as far as the lens was concerned. If one were to look through it, they'd see a glowing blue aura surrounding Aurora; it was shaped exactly like a werewolf. Peter had to bite his tongue to keep from cackling. I was right! I knew it! There was also a slightly greenish hue around the girl. It was more pronounced around her ears, which were hidden beneath her hair as always. What did the green mean? Was she something else besides a werewolf? After a while Kiba finished the rabbit he walked over to Catori and said," That was amazing Catori thank you for teaching how to hunt it means a lot to me."

Aurora nodded with a frown, "Yeah, you may be right..." She suddenly yawned, "I think I'm going to go take a nap. Make yourself at home." She reminded again before making her way to the entry way. The manticore continued rolling and making noises of discomfort. He had a serious belly ache. (Aaaand the rest of the post need not be described here.) The puppy made no movements, save for her eyes. She wasn't at all afraid of Ferra and didn't object to being pet. Catori wagged her tail a couple of times in response, turned and began leading the way back to their home. (Here, finally I would have been here sooner, but I was busy and didn't want to be poofy.)

Catori was unable to reply to Kiba until they had returned to the clearing, and the strange magic allowed for her speech. She tilted her head at Kiba, then answered, "Many." In reality, she had no idea. The wolf socialized with very few people, and paid little attention to the rest. In her opinion, there were too many strangers. But at least she was no longer the only animal. She did appreciate that.

Kiba looked at Catori and said," Well I don't know how I could have handled being around so many strangers." Kiba then looked forward and said," I might not look it but I am not very social."
