Chase nodded and listed off the animals in his head. Who knows it might be useful one day. It was normal to do things like that to remember they're abilities so he could counteract them if need be, but often he never used it. He supposed that would include now as well. He shrugged. "You'll get it one day with practice." He said with a smile then tiled his head. "Wait so you learn how to shift into them? I would have thought you were born just knowing how to." He said with a smile. That was definitely interesting to hear.

(Hi everyone. I've been lurking. I'm about to leave in less than 30 minutes, but I won't be gone long. When I get back, I'll add Jade's form and respond to RP posts.

"Yeah, I thought so, too." Delilah gave a frown. "It was really frustrating for me at first. There were so many things I wanted to be, and couldn't. I think it has something to do with feeling empathy for the animal itself, and understanding its emotions and existence. When I begin to learn more about them and develop a real connection to them, that's when I'm able to." She paused. "So in that respect, maybe everyone in my tribe has the potential to shift. It's just a matter of awakening that connection. I'm not sure, though, how it works." There was a sort of curiosity in her voice. Even she hadn't discovered the full potential of her own ability. Her parents had told her that she was special, that the ability had been given to her for a reason. More and more, though, she wondered if they were right. Maybe it was just her connection with nature which allowed her to change.

(I just wanted to bring something to everyone's attention real quickly. You may or may not have noticed the role-play has been moving forward very slowly, and it's not necessarily due to the frequency of posting. Most role-plays have one major plot to help drive it along, but Outcasts is different. When I first made the role-play 8 years ago, I did not have any specific plot in mind. I just wanted somewhere fun and different to role-play, since I'd never role-played before and wanted to ease into it. This new edition is following closely in the same steps as the first, and I'm noticing a pattern. In the beginning, there were mostly just character introductions and fun interactions between everyone. Everything was in a state of flux until there were no longer new people showing up at a great frequency. Once everyone was settled, the plots started arising. It's sort of hard to do many big plots with people showing up everyday, so we all waited until things settled down. But do not despair! I have several MAJOR plots to help drive the story forward and give everyone something to do. There will also be editions added to the castle to make the characters' lives a little easier and more modern. I'm just waiting on the role-play to reach equilibrium before I bring in the big guns, so to speak.  )

"So... how did you find this place?" Aurora was eager to know why, after all these years, people had began appearing. She wondered if there were some underlying cause that spurned so many to seek refuge here. She was equal parts curious and worried.


Peter adjusted his pace as necessary to allow for Mason to keep up more easily. At some point he came to a stop, then pulled back a curtain of tall reeds to reveal a spacious clearing, and the ancient fortress that rested in the center.

"While wandering around, I spotted this castle in the distance and decided to check it out." Lani said with a light shrug of his shoulders.

(Oh thanks. This is making me love Delilah even more she's adorable!XD)

Chase couldn't help but smile to her. "I don't mind don't worry. I don't find it offensive. Thank you by the way, you're pretty cool too." He said to her with a hint of amusement in his voice. He liked her so far, she was friendly. "You might get some armour if it works." He remarked. "So how would we go about this exactly, if you wanna try it?" He asked with a tilt of his head. Would he have to be in his other form or could he stay like this? He'd change if he had too, he just hoped he didn't.

"Yup." Lani said before going quiet for a bit. She thought of something and opened her mouth. "So what is it like being a werewolf?"

"What?" Lani asked smirking a tiny bit.

Jade stepped to the edge of the forest and bent down picking up a crimson scale. "So you show your face again sasha dreygon.." she frowned before casting a spell on the scale and heading into forest. The spell allowed her to see the magic trail he left so she could track him down

(Ooh Jade I don't think that one's Sasha's.XD Also side note If you want when you're ready I can always spoof Chase somewhere and just pretend it's after he was talking with Delilah.)
