So I'm in Human Geography. Which is the tracking on how we humans have messed with the earth and you something? Even in this class the lesson is that Those from Europe in the early generations were greedy monsters. I'm at the part where it's talking about how hunter gather groups of America respected the animals. Seeing them as brothers and sisters in fur or feather masks Until the French and others showed up.)

(my school had an essay contest thing, so I decided to enter, and it paid off v well. There were five winners, one for each class and one overall, ans I had the overall best essay. Two other seniors ended up also winning, though, because there were no entries from two of the other classes. lol)

(here, finally)
Pandora stopped and tilted her head at the strange bird-boy. "What are you?" She asked with all the childlike naivety she could muster with her gnawing hunger.

Alfonse's jaw dropped almost instantaneously. He had spent so much time, so much effort, simply to prove the existence of this place, and now a mere child was telling him that it "wasn't that difficult" to just travel between the two worlds, as if they were only a few miles apart? He didn't betray his discontent, however, but instead cleared his throat, and began to make his way out of the kitchen. "Enjoy your hunt." Immediately after having left the kitchen, Alfonse began to search for another resident whom he knew wasn't human. He had to confirm Pandora's account. What if travelling between dimensions was actually a simple matter, and humans were just too dense or stupid to have figured it out? Still, Alfonse stroked his chin, he was the first he had known of to have made the discovery. That had to count for something, right? Ferra blinked, and recalled seeing the gray wolf walk with Aurora earlier in the day. "Well, at least you weren't totally alone. Sometimes, I think it may have been better that I was in the same predicament. I never got along well with any of my tribemates. Many of them felt that I was too different to ever really be a part of the tribe. Granted, our chief was an exception, and that helped, greatly. See, I... I have this ability. I can sense others' auras, not just people. Animals, and even plants..." She paused and leaned forward in her seat. "I was supposed to take my grandmother's position after she passed away; she was a tribe councillor. I'll never know if that will have changed my standing with my tribe, but... really, I guess it doesn't matter much. I'm not going back. I-I don't know where I'll go, but I won't go back there." As Alfonse left the kitchen, Pandora burst into a loud fit of gleeful laughter. She'd taken great pleasure in angering the scientist. "I guess I'll go on that hunt now." She skipped out of the kitchen and headed for the exit, humming to herself innocently. Aurora paid close attention as Ferra told her story, taking in every word. In some small way, she wished that she'd had the opportunity to grow up around other people. She was socially stunted, and wondered how her life might have gone if she'd grown up with her mother or father's family. But she well knew that never would have worked. Her parents had made it clear that neither side would accept her, and it was extremely dangerous to make her existence known to either parent race. "I don't think you would have much enjoyed living here all alone, even with a wolf for company. It was quiet, but really lonely. I use to wonder a lot what it would be like growing up with actual family. I guess I'll never know. But in the meantime, you have a home here for as long as you want it." She wondered for a moment what Ferra meant by 'aura', but she didn't ask.

Alfonse remained on the hunt for another resident who may be able to explain how to travel between worlds. (-cough cough- Peter)
Ferra smiled, and thought of how grateful she was to Aurora for having opened the castle to her. "Thank you, so much. I promise I'll do what I can while I'm here to help you, in any way you need."

(here, finally) Pandora stopped and tilted her head at the strange bird-boy. "What are you?" She asked with all the childlike naivety she could muster with her gnawing hunger. (Yay!) Mason whipped around to face the girl with a tilted head. What was a little girl doing in the middle of a forest with a bow and arrow? "What, is there something wrong with me?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
