(Just posted a link to a new joining page for characters, which can be found here.) (I'm actually kind of eager to have my two traveling characters come across Sasha, but sadly, I can hardly hold my eyes open anymore. I'll try to be back as soon as possible. Thanks again to everyone!)

Alfonse held his map delicately in his bony hands as he stumbled along, murmuring nonsense to himself. When he finally seemed to reach the spot he was looking for, he halted sharply, set down his things, and got to work. "Even if my calculations are not entirely accurate, this will work. No more disappointments, Alfonse." The genius's eyes were positively mad as he mentally pictured the prospect of entering into the world he believed so strongly in.
As his work grew complete, the area around him sparked and buzzed, coming to life with an unfamiliar energy that seemed to be neither natural or man-made. Alfonse howled with crazed laughter as the wind picked up, and his messy brown hair was tossed to and fro. Finally, a rip in time and space itself seemed to form only a few feet away from the scientist, and he wasted no time leaping towards it, as if he were a starving predator lunging towards its prey.
A few moments passed, and Alfonse was dumped out of the portal into a lush forest, very similar, in fact, to the area he had been working in. Alfonse gave a howl of satisfaction, his eyes in disbelief, and his mouth stretched wide into a cheshire grin, foaming intensely. "Yes! Finally!" His fists shot into the air in an rather awkward manner, his suit almost sentiently resistant to the excitement. "All this work! I've proven so many theories!" Pride again swelled in him, and his voice grew quieter. "Finally, they'll see me as the genius that I truly am."
After relishing in his discovery for a few moments, Alfonse began to look around him curiously. The area was lush with foliage, and he wondered just what kinds of creatures inhabited the forest. Were there Earth animals? He didn't see why not. In a parallel world, Alfonse knew from his studies that many things had to be similar; wasn't that the point of a "parallel" world?
He stopped himself. But what if things were different? If that were the case, he wondered, what things were different? Perhaps humans lived alongside dinosaurs here, or maybe the dodo hadn't gone extinct.
Alfonse marked the spot, in hopes of eventually returning after having recorded his studies, and began his exploration. He stepped tentatively through the forest, his eyes analyzing his surroundings and searching for any signs of wildlife. Alfonse removed a small notepad and pen from the pocket of his sports coat, and began to jot down notes. As he was writing, he continued his trek through the forest, still giddy with excitement over his scientific breakthrough.
Suddenly, Alfonse halted, He was sure he had heard footsteps, and maybe even a voice. He peeked through the foliage ahead, and sighted a young boy. Beside him walked a... dog? No, that was most certainly no dog. Alfonse's mouth gaped open in absolute shock. He jotted something onto his notepad, and crept along quite a bit behind them, stealthily. There was no way he'd let the boy or his wolf detect him.

Catori crept forward, quivering black nose held close to the ground as she tried to pick up any fresh scents. A raccoon had been through this spot earlier, but that wasn't what she was searching for. The boy mentioned deer. She hadn't had deer in quite some time. Aurora didn't hunt, and Catori wasn't capable of bringing down large game all by herself. She seriously doubted the boy would be much help, but it wouldn't hurt to try. If they were unsuccessful, she'd take a rabbit and let the boy have vegetables for dinner. Unless the kill was plenteous, Catori wasn't good at sharing.
Peter watched the wolf as if she were the most interesting thing in the world. His stomach growled. He hoped they'd be able to find something soon, and no longer cared if it were deer. Just something good to fill his hungry belly. Something better than vegetables.
This went on for several minutes, when all at once the wolf took off, moving as swiftly and quietly as possible. The boy followed, trying to keep up without making too much racket.

Catori was small enough that she could move through the thick underbrush with ease, but Peter had a harder time with it. He had to fight just to keep the wolf in sight. All at once, the wolf came to a halt and and crouched into a stalking position. She cast a glare back at the boy, as though warning him to be quiet. Peter froze, bent down on one knee and tried to be as still as possible. About thirty feet ahead of the wolf, the bushes suddenly began to shake and a large, horned animal came bounding out of them. The wolf pursued after it with renewed intensity. Peter quickly leaped to his feet and followed suit.
This went on for several more minutes. Peter's muscles ached with the strain of keeping pace with the two animals. All of a sudden, the deer came to a dead stop in front of something large. The poor frightened animal's nostrils flared and you could hear it huffing in alarm. But rather than keep running, it was frozen, literally like a deer in headlights.
The wolf couldn't see what the creature was looking at and took the opportunity to catch up to it. Peter, exhausted and covered in fresh nicks from briers and brambles, arrived last.

Alfonse followed along behind the duo. Although he kept his distance, he still was exhausted. Occasionally, a limb would slap him in the face, and he would respond with a disgruntled noise. He reminded himself that he didn't know much about the terrain, or its inhabitants. When Catori and Peter halted, the older boy followed suit, his eyes searching for their reason for stopping.

Sasha during all of this had been asleep, that is until he heard the rustling of the underbrush nearby. Growling softly he raised his head slowly up and opened his eyes to see what was going on. That was when he saw the deer looking at him with fear in its eyes and scent. He tilted his head slowly to the right looking at it, wondering why it was there.
However, that wonderment did not last long, he was hungry, and it was food. So he opened his maw and dropped his head down swiftly his jaw alone was big enough to pick the deer up and kill it without it suffering much. Even though the bones of the animal snapped as his teeth came down on them, a sound he enjoyed very much each time he hunted.

(Heheh, I hope Sasha leaves at least a little bit of deer. Peter will be ticked if he has to eat vegetables again. XD)
Catori let out a surprised yelp as the enormous reptile came into view. Once her shock faded, she let out a low growl that was more fearful than angry. Peter just stood there in amazement, eyes wide with childish glee at the creature before him. He'd heard stories of dragons but never gave much credence to them. Until now. He watched the beast carefully for any signs of aggression towards him or the wolf, wondering if the creature would be kind enough to leave any of the deer remaining.

Just as Alfonse grew certain he couldn't possibly hobble on along the two of them any longer, his eyes caught sight of the dragon. For a moment, his jaw slack, he gaped at the creature in front of him. Then, suddenly, his eyes rolled back into his head, and his knees crumpled. Alfonse Ferdinand had fainted; the shock had simply been too much for the mad scientist, despite having experienced debatably stranger events as the result of his odd experiments.

(he can have an antler)
Sasha coughed, and a slime coated antler shot out of his maw, and he snorted softly using his tail to push it out of the way. The deer had tasted good, but he could use more to eat. However, he could live until something came across his path again like the deer had.
With a snort that caused smoke to appear out of his nostrils, he laid his head back down on his paws only to spot the figures hidden in the trees. That raised his alarms and he growled deeply, the kind of growl that shook the air around him.
"Who is there?! he roared, his eyes glowing with rage as he looked at him. The one thing that was off when he spoke was that his mouth had not moved. They heard him clearly as if he shouted, but he had not used his mouth to sound the question.

Catori immediately bolted away. Poof. Wolf gone.
Peter stood there staring sadly as the dragon polished off the deer. (Guess they'll have to go hunt another one...) Upon hearing the growl and the voice, Peter began to slowly back away in fear.

Poor Alfonse's glasses had fallen off on the ground beside him, though, at least he hadn't landed on them. He lay unconscious, with no signs of moving anytime soon.

(For real tho he's a huge dragon there was little chance of getting anything from him)
Sasha saw the person backing away, and he wasn't going to let them do that, so he lifted his tail and reached out to the person, wrapping it around his stomach and dragged him out from the forest so he could get a good look at the thing.
And when he did he growled again, but this time it was softer, he realized this being was a small version of the humans. A mere hatchling it seems. No threat to him, and barely could be called a meal. So in Sasha's eyes, he was worthless.
"who are you hatchling? why are you here?"

(Yup. But maybe at some point in the RP, he can make hunting much easier for them. Once he's had enough to eat, he can swoop down and get a deer for everyone else. Except Aurora, cause she doesn't eat meat. Except for fish, rarely.
Good thing Peter's a kid, eh?)
Peter let out a startled yelp as he was yanked off his feet and towards the scaled and growling beast. Well, I guess this is it. Goodbye, cruel world. I'll miss you, Mom. He suddenly put on a brave face and refused to look the dragon in the eyes. At Sasha's words, Peter mumbled his name and his original plans to hunt a deer.
Something small and furry scurried down from one of the trees and came to sit on Alfonse's rising and falling chest.

Alfonse showed no signs of regaining consciousness anytime soon. He laid sprawled out on the ground, and his tie, having been untucked from inside his sports coat, was messily sprawled out beside him. Odds are, if he could have seen himself, he would have been positively mortified.

Sasha did not feel guilt for taking the deer; Dragons rarely regret anything that they do against humans or other creatures in the world. So when the child told him about it, he barely reacted.
"I see, well I am not sorry. Your kind attacked me and took my hard earned gold. They injured my wing and left me stuck on the ground. I will take what I need. You just made the mistake of chasing your food in my direction." He told the child before setting him down gently on the ground.
While bitter against humans he would never hurt a hatchling. Mostly because that made him better than the humans. The humans had no guilt hurting his kinds young, but he will not be like them. The hatchling has to earn his death just like the rest of them.
(as you can see he is.. Um not totally heartless.)

Peter no longer cared about the deer, but something the dragon 'said' made him frown, "Somebody took all of your gold? And they hurt you? That wasn't nice!" Realizing the dragon probably wasn't going to eat him, he relaxed and took a better look at him, "Why didn't you fight back? I would have fought back. I would have made them pay for it!" He shook his head, "From what I've heard back home, dragons are amazing and intelligent, even though you did scare me half to death... I'm sorry people treated you this way. It should never have happened." Truth be told, Peter didn't know a whole lot about dragons, but he hated seeing anyone treated so poorly.
The furry little creature continued to sit on Alfonse's chest and licked his nose. It resembled a cross between a squirrel, a monkey and a bat. It's bushy tail twitched ever slightly and the trill it made sounded like a cross between a bird and a tiny kitten's mewing. It wondered if he were dead enough for it to begin eating.

"If I fight them then I kill them. They can not kill me. No matter what form I take. They are worthless spots in my long life why waste the energy on little blimps in my life. They will suffer in other ways; it's only a matter of time little hatchling." he told him dropping his head back down and watching him quietly.

Mako carefully makes his way into the castle. Once inside, Mako glance around wondering if anyone was still here. He smirked a bit wondering if there were any valuables lying around. A castle of this size was bound to have something. First, he would check to see if anyone was around. "Hello anyone here"? He called out.

(Pupper is SAVED... and FED. That's what took so long. lol) Peter stood there quietly too, not really knowing what to do next. He could invite the dragon back to the castle with him, but he wasn't sure how well that would go... If the dragon was still hungry and decided to make Catori into dessert, he was absolutely sure Aurora would kill him. (Feel free to read his mind.) Aurora was outside tending to something, completely unaware of the stranger lurking around the castle with less than savory intentions. Unfortunately for him, the castle was quite bare with nothing worth stealing. Unless you considered old dusty books, plain clothes and pickled vegetables to be valuable. However, Catori was almost back at the castle. Now that her fear had subsided, she felt burning anger at having lost her hunting opportunity AGAIN. She was most certainly not giving up and eating vegetables again. She would wait safely at the castle, and try again for a rabbit come night fall. About a stone's throw from the clearing's edge, Catori picked up an unfamiliar scent. As the wolf stopped to check it out, she began to growl softly. Another intruder?

Sasha looked at him as he was thinking and he chuckled softly, but it came out more like a deep purr. "Little hatchling. I am not changing forms. I need clothes to change forms, and I have none. Considering you talk about a female in this castle I feel as if it is a waste of time." However it was nice for the child to think of him. Maybe when alone he will drop down something for them.

(Hopefully not the same thing that pigeons 'drop' down. XD)
Peter didn't even seem surprised or bothered that the dragon knew what he was thinking. The only thing that did surprise him was the implications that a dragon needed clothes, or could change its form, "If you need clothes, we've got plenty of them. A whole room full of them, for any size or gender, and in any style you can imagine. Even if you don't wanna stay, you're welcome to come and take a change of clothes to keep. Or..." He thought about it, "Or if you can't do that, I can go get some and bring them to you."

(More like food, not doo doo)
He chuckled looking at him. "We will see little hatchling, let me rest for now. Maybe you should let the girl in that castle know about me before you do anything." He closed his eyes then wanting to sleep for a bit more.
However, he was sure that he was not done seeing or talking to the little hatchling that was still nearby. He wondered if he should scare him away? Some flames would work.

(*snicker* I know what he really meant.)
Peter nodded, "Right. I'll go tell her then." And he was dashing off before he could change his mind.
(Qtip went to bed, and gave me permission to move her unconscious character before he wakes up or becomes dragon food, heh.)
As someone was walking through the woods, they came across (tripped over, actually) a young man laying passed out on the ground. The little creature that was perched on him hissed before making a hasty retreat up the tree it came from. The person took a good look at the man laying helplessly there and, after making sure no one else was around to see, carefully raised him up from the ground. It was a struggle, at first. He didn't weigh much but he was tall. After getting a good grip on the unconscious form, the person crouched down, leaped high into the air and soared off.
