The Tom

Appearance: Astershell is a medium-sized tom. He tends to be slender in appearance with most of his muscles resting in his legs. However, his fur likes to deceive others by having a longer coat. As such, he can appear bigger than he is. His tail wields a bushy appearance like that of a fox. It is the longest feature on him and tends to carry the most fur. Astershell’s head is wedge-shaped like a Siamese, and the result has allowed his muzzle to be slightly longer than most cats. His eyes take on an oval shape, and his ears are large but straight. The tom is blessed with a blue tabby mackerel pelt. Most of his fur carries this shade of a dark bluish-gray, but there are a few patches of white. These have located themselves as a large blotch that covers his hind toes, chest fur, chin and mouth, cheeks, small lines underneath his eyes, white inside his ears, and white shades along the side of his front legs. There is a small spot of white on a couple of his front toes. The stripes that are visible appear black in color. His eyes carry a burning dark amber and seems to be the feature that stands out among his physique.

Astershell finds that the world becomes dull when one chooses to close their eyes. Every single waking moment is nothing, but a dream and those that prefer to stick their heads in the cloud are an oddity to him, which only perks his interests. He wants to live in a world where he is in touch with reality. He wants to see, touch, hear and use his other senses to understand his surroundings. He seeks to embrace the behaviors that step in his path—good or bad. He finds others fascinating and wants to learn more about them. He is even willing to provoke or place them in certain situations to see how they would react. There are times where he understands the cat before they understand him. As chaotic and nosey as he can be, he likes to think that he means well as he has no intention of attempting to kill anyone unless he has no other choice. In fact when faced with problematic events, he will often run away or attempt to bargain as he prefers not to deal with conflict. This attitude has resulted in him becoming an observant individual. Aside from his behavior around others, he is mindful of his surroundings, and sometimes he can notice some interesting details. Being a visual learner, the things he observes can be used as facts, tools, experiences, and other methods at his disposal versus fantasizing about the what ifs in the world. In the end, he is shaping up to be a focus, but a logical cat that is capable of strategizing if the situation calls for it.

Astershell has learned to embrace chaos. He feels that most cats’ definition of chaos has turned the word into such a misunderstood friend. It is true that chaos can rock someone’s world, but to him, it also makes the world a much more exciting place. Without chaos, one would become stagnant, and there would be nothing challenging their views. Astershell believes that those that dislike chaos hate change. As much as he enjoys watching the drama unfold, he doesn’t have a problem starting it. However, his version of it tends to make him a jokester such as pulling off pranks and coming up with some game including his sudden twists and turns with his personality, tones, and whatever else he can change up. His primary goal is to see how the cat reacts and adapts to the situation. He prefers to avoid situations that could endanger and even kill them as he does not wish to be considered a murderer. Some would consider Astershell mad due to his views. To him, everyone is mad because no matter what someone will see someone else’s oddities as strange. From someone exploring a rumored haunted graveyard to having an overactive imagination, individuals have different views on what is considered mad. Astershell has a different sort of ambition where he prefers the challenges to seek him versus seeking them out himself. He feels it is a thrilling experience as he must learn to change on the spot.

Astershell is quite carefree. He does not bother worrying about schedules or other limitations. He feels that things will come with time, so there is no reason to force it to work with your schedule. In his opinion, part of the joys and wonders of the world is being surprised by the unexpected. This attitude does make time seem almost nonexistence with him, and he can become a procrastinator if the task is not important to him. He will eventually get it done, but usually last minute. There are times where Astershell’s attitude can cause him to become blind to situations as he will dismiss it with a happy expression and some cheesy line about how things will be okay. Sometimes this is because Astershell would rather not deal with events that are hard for him such as losing a loved one. Overall his outlook has allowed him to become relaxed and patient enjoying things as they come at his pace. He doesn’t become as easily upset when faced with stressful situations or other cats.

Astershell is secretive. While the tom is an introvert, he prefers to shelter away things that can be troubling to him. These feelings can include things that he feels could get him into trouble. In a way, he often puts on a smile mask and has no problem using deception if it means protecting himself. He is not sure what he is afraid of, but it might have something to do with general life in a clan. Being a medicine cat, he has had to watch others fall and being one that dislikes failing at his job; it does have an emotional impact. He usually prefers to shelter out or fabricate his emotions even if it does end up hurting him or those around him more in the end. There is one thing that does reveal something more underneath, and that is his reminiscing. He tends to be nostalgia and sometimes longs for the simpler days. He finds comfort in being able to reminiscence about his past, and this can be reflective in his dreams as he is a lucid dreamer. While he still tries to keep the harder subjects with a dismissive attitude including changing the subject, once he gets comfortable he does open a bit more especially when he starts having long-drawn dreamy conversions. If one can handle it, they might find he is a detailed storyteller.

Welcome home! Oh no I understand! Lols don't feel like you have to make super detailed if you do not wish to. Although I am glad that you enjoy it <3 That is true and I want this to be reasonable so I will increase his age. Now that I am thinking about it that doesn't seem quite as realistic since medicine cats generally train for quite some time maybe longer than warriors would and I imagine he has been a medicine cat for quite some time now. Also just to inform you I won't be on much today. I have to take this test and combine with studying it wouldn't surprise me if it is well into the night by the time I finish. However, when I get the chance I will complete his personality and he will be ready to go.
