How cold/hot does it get up there? The hottest it gets is probably the upper 90s (Fahrenheit) but it's rare though. In summer it's usually about 80 degrees Fahrenheit. In winter, the coldest is about -30 degrees Fahrenheit. This winter we were lucky to go quite a few days in the 20s and 30s though.

whats it like being cold all the time It actually doesn't really get cold till October (probably the same with most states, I don't know much) and warms up in late March. I basically never get to cold though, I stay in the house most of the winter.

I think someone asked a similar question, but is it pretty evident how close you are to Canada? Like, are a lot of people there from Canada? Or does it feel no different than if you lived in Arizona or something?
Basically what I'm trying to ask is does Canada being so close affect the state and it's culture?

No, from what I know, it doesn't. It's probably just the same as if you were living in any other state.

I'm related to some Minnesotans and they have the most annoying goddamn accents. You are at fault. They are why the Yankees are my mortal enemy
Like instead of saying "Upstairs" they'll say "UpstEERS" and it's like a meme among my family. Like, whenever these relatives are mentioned, we'll all say "UPSTEERS" in unison

i really loved seeing the wolves at the mn zoo o: the person running the gift shop at the time had pretty stereotypical northern midwest accent, saying the zoo had gone 'begless" (bagless) and then asking if we'd like a reusable "beg" (bag) to carry our things I love seeing the wolves too. My dad said when he was a kid, they went to the zoo on a school trip to the zoo and a kid climbed the fence around the cage and stuck his arm in to pet a wolf. His arm, unfortunately, got stuck and then got mauled by a wolf. torn between feeling bad for the kid and thinking he deserved it, lol they may be captive, but i suppose most zoo critters are far from domesticated
