something is coming now.
something on the horizon, big and bright, shining and terrifying, and there you stand, so still and brave, to face it. the war wasn't something that you decided to partake in. the war was something that chose you, as your people dived into it and dragged you with them.
war was not in your blood, yet here you are, you little pawn of a solider. you'd best soon get a taste for it, because there is no backing down. to abandon your comrades would be cowardly, and you're not a coward. or, are you? only time tells for most, and sometimes, yes, you do fall to cowardice, but that is only one of many options in war.
will you stand? will you hide? will you fall and crumble to ashes like those around you? may you, perhaps, win? only time will tell.
for something is coming, drenched in blood on the horizon, and you my dear fellow are in its path.

hello there!
as you can probably tell, this is a war roleplay. full disclosure, this is not a war roleplay where your character is going to come out on top. but apart from that, here are some things that you should probably take into consideration before you fill out a joining form for me to plaster up here.
number one, this is a semi-literate roleplay. what i mean by that is that i expect proper grammar (i don't capitalize in out-of-character because i'm lazy; don't judge me), and at least four or five sentences per post per character. if you feel as if you cannot meet this on a certain day just let me know, but otherwise it is what i'll expect from you.
number two, i would like it if you only roleplayed those on the side of the "good guys." this does not take place on earth, but the characters are humanoid, though i will allow for some enhanced abilities like being stronger than the average human and such. i don't really care if they have strange hair or eye colors either.
also, there will be a section in the joining form labelled "rank." here, you may put civilian, noncombatant, medical doctor, private, corporal, sergeant, and general, in ascending order or importance. if you want to be a general, ask me first.
number three, you need to be okay with aforementioned characters dying. like i said, this roleplay is going to unfold as it will. let it write itself. if your character's in a spot where death is probably inevitable, then they will probably die. you can always make another one.
and that's basically it! the joining form will be below. oh, one more thing, the main settings of this roleplay will either be the capitol of this planet, the desert (where a lot of battling will be done), or any other place where you character may realistically venture. thanks.

Carbry Furlan | 29 | Male
Carbry is a thin wiry man, standing at a staggering six-foot-four, and barely weighing in at one-hundred-forty pounds soaking wet. He has long, thinly muscled limbs that give him an almost spiderish appearance, and a barreled chest that is the only thing about him that isn't thin. He has tanned, freckled skin, and laugh lines around his eyes and in the middle of his forehead. His face is long and as sharp as the bones poking out at his knees and elbows, but somehow not cruel looking. He has thick black hair that already has a couple of gray strands in its loose curls, and dark brown eyes that are constantly hidden under impressively thick brows. The only menacing thing about his facial features is a lumpy, purple scar that runs from the left corner of his mouth to the same side of his nose. | Carbry, though in his position, is always the jovial fellow. He's a jokester and an all-around personable guy, unless you do something to peeve him off. If you do, he'll probably relentlessly pester you and make snide comments, but the people that get this sort of treatment from him are most definitely few and far between. He isn't afraid to speak his mind, and is very loud when he does it. Carbry just has a very thin filter, you could say. Besides all this, he's a jack-of-all-trades, but regrettably a master of none. For example, he knows seven languages, but only knows get phrases in all of them but his native one. That's better than nothing, right?
Carbry grew up in the countryside with his mother, father, and sister. All three are dead now, and an unmarried man, Carbry has no attachments to anything but his house, which is located in one of the smaller, yet bustling, cities. He was drafted into the war at age twenty-four, and has been there ever since, without a complaint.

Batel Jasso | 42 | Female
Batel is not a woman that you'd think of a general, but here she is, in the position. She's short and not exactly thin, though she does carry a certain "I'll kick your butt" sort of look about her. She stands at only five-foot-one, so tiny that it takes a pedestal for her to address anybody. She's white, skin pale with a few age spots and moles here and there. Her face is starting to show the signs of age, laugh lines forming and deep wrinkles from worry already present on her forehead. Her hair is greying already, always pulled back into a tight ponytail or a couple of braids, and is a pale blonde-white color. Her eyebrows almost blend into her face due to this, making her green-grey eyes look huge. | Batel is mainly in her position because she's one of the meanest little ladies around. She'll snap at anyone for just about anything, and is more than a bit of a perfectionist. Troops not marching perfectly? Do it again. You didn't hit every target while training? Well, go run the course again. She doesn't take nonsense from anyone, and hates slackers. She isn't above public embarrassment. She is self critical though, and sometimes it takes a toll, but she tries to keep up a sort of invincible facade for everyone around her, to keep up morale for all of the people that rely on her and such.
Batel has lived in the capitol her entire life. She's been married twice, and divorced both of them, because who needs a wife to keep them tied down? She does have one daughter though, from her first marriage, who still lives in the city.
