Mackenzie was both surprised and relieved when she saw August. Well, August seemed to have found her first since he was coming towards her. She was almost certain though, that he would be trying to talk to that other person, and that was what took her by surprise: the fact that he wasn't. Mackenzie approached him as well, wanting to get to him quicker, yet finding herself hesitating as she got closer. But there was no turning back now. Mackenzie took in another slightly shaky breath before sting anything to August. "I should probably apologize for my behavior early. It wasn't very appropriate considering the situation."

Makali followed Charlotte through the doors happily, and paused once she found herself inside, looking up at all the decorations."Well,I certainly didn't expect this."She said out loud, she had never seen anything quite like it.She sure liked it though. She turned back to Charlotte after taking it all in and grinned."Food sounds good, don't you think?"She asked, following Charlotte's gaze to the food tables .She would have to be careful to avoid the beef plates, but that would be easy with all the options laid out.

August soon found himself face to face with Mackenzie, slightly startled by how quickly they had found each other, but he loosened up as Mackenzie spoke."I should apologize as well,I wasn't really being polite to you with how I acted.I should be focusing on you,my friend,as it was with you that I agreed to come to this dance with."He said himself, hoping to explain himself better than he had earlier. He would be happy to explain himself better to her,but he would wait and see if she initiated that conversation first.

Mackenzie bit back a harsh comment, knowing to keep her temper in check for now. She would hate to make him walk away, and didn't want to know how she made him feel when she left. Or if he had really cared at all. "I don't want to embarrass you or anything, but I'm assuming you're gay?" She asked suddenly, not responding to his apology, her tone flat. She was attempting to out any other feelings she could have possibly had for August aside. He would never be interested in her like that anyhow, she would just have to learn to live with it, to act like she never had thought of him in that sense. The only trouble was pulling it off.

Arlo smiled down at Kuro and placed his other hand on his side and began the dance. It was rather different dancing with others around,he thought he would be more nervous with other watching but he barely noticed them. All he really noticed was the music, the steps running through his head and into his feet, and Kuro.Is this what those corny movies and books talked about when characters started dancing and they seemed to be in a world where they were the only two?It sure seemed like it. (talk about corny..) OOC Corny but cute. They have lots of cute moments. ICKuro would admit to only vaguely being aware of the other people at the dance as well, focusing on steps weren't a problem and it was even easier when you weren't really leading. You just let the other person guide you around, and then the only part of his mind that was focusing on the others, was to try and see if more had began to dance. Meanwhile his thoughts had sort of wandered to home. None of his family actually knew that he considered himself biromantic asexual, he would rather like to know how they would feel about him going to the dance with another guy for a date.

"Alright," Charlotte said, leading the ways over to the buffet tables. She picked up a plate, trying not to pile it high. Instead, she tried to to put the smallest amount of anything she wanted on her plate to maximize what she could taste versus how much she had. It wasn't working well though, there were just to many things. Finally she stopped though, turning back to her date a little sheepishly. At least she wouldn't have to come back later.

August blinked, surprised with Mackenzie's forwardness, but it actually helped him so he didn't have to bring it up himself."Well, actually,Im Bisexual,so I like both guys and girls."He replied,he wasn't going to deny anything,he was always open about who he loved when it came to it."Im not going to hide myself from you,i want to be honest with you Mackenzie, you're my friend, well,I hope you are at least.."He added, just wanting her to know he would do his best not to hurt her, well, knowingly at least.
Dancing with Kuro, was,as always, rather relaxing to Arlo,it allowed him to be alone with his thoughts. For some reason, they seemed to focus mainly on Kuro(I wonder why?) and how he felt about him.He himself was open to talking about relationships if someone brought it up,but Kuro never had.Yes,he had agreed to come to the dance with him,but no mentions of what he felt towards who,or how he felt.It was a rather odd thing to think about while dancing, but yet he was.His parents had been open about him revealing himself as biromantic asexual, but hardly anyone else knew.He wondered briefly what Kuro identified as,but let the thought go almost immediately. It didn't matter,if Kuro wanted to talk about it,he would.

Following Charlotte to the tables,Makali glanced over each dish before placing a bit of different ones on her plate. She smiled slightly at the look on Charlotte's face when she turned back to her with a full plate. It wasn't much different from hers, well, hers didn't have any beef dishes of course, but whatever. She herself preferred the fruit dishes,as there were quite a few fruits she didn't recognize that she was curious to try. (I have to go for tonight,I'll see you guys tomorrow)

Charlotte, spotting that Makali's plate was in the same state as her own, lost her sheepish expression and smiled instead. "I guess we're both pretty hungry then?" she asked jokingly, before looking over at the tables. "Let's go sit down and eat, okay?" she said, already picking out a table in her mind.
(Good night! I think I'm going to turn in as well. See everyone tomorrow!)

She was close, he had to give her that. But didn't bisexual people lean towards one gender more than the other? She wasn't going to ask, she felt done with this conversation before it even started. But she felt her so recently hardened self soften slightly at his next words. It was good to know he was going to be honest with her. But Mackenzie wasn't so sure she can return the favor. There were just certain things she can't say, she won't say and could only leave August left to guess. "You are. This," she implied his actions, "doesn't change much." That part was a lie, but her face didn't reveal it.

OOC Alright, night Plag!
IC The more he thought of it, the more Kuro wanted to laugh, picturing it all. His brothers, everything. He ended up laughing a little bit all the same, then realizing how weird it probably was that he had just randomly started laughing while they were dancing. "Sorry, I was just thinking how my family would react to this. It would be funny," he explained lightly, offering a joyful smile, one of those that people had when they were laughing.

Olivia was not at the dance. She was in her room, by herself, on her laptop, Skyping with a dark grey figure surrounded by a fake backdrop. Olivia had on a headset as she listened to the person bring her up to speed since she last checked in. Her secret was safe, for now.

OOC Sorry they're short, I'm out with my sister. ICMax nodded as he swallowed another bite. "Yeah, it's amazing. Did you wanna try a bit? The flavors blend really well together," he added and offered a forkful of it to Cain, sort of like how Cain had offered the steak before. He was of course, always more than willing to share. - Cain blushed nervously and leant forwards, accepting the mouthful, before moving away again, chewing slowly. 'It's okay.' He mumbled, smiling at him slightly as he swallowed. 'I'm not to bothered about chocolate cheesecake... or chocolate in general, really, its not much my favourite thing to eat.'

Juliette gave a small nod, feeling slightly reasssured. She moved to sit down when he pulled the chair out her for,"thank you,"she told him, crossing her legs. "Well, you should go first. What's it like with your twin?"she asked, propping her chin up against her hand, and turning her attention to him: After she is seated Branson takes the seat next to her. Spinning it around before sitting on it backwards the way some men do where the back of the chair serves as a rest for their crossed arms. "I would say we are pretty close. We are opposites so it works out well in some cases and not so well in others. She liked to do the talking when we are together and that's fine by me. And then there is the whole competitive aspect. Its like sibling rivalry on steroids. " Branson chuckles before turning the question around to her. " Do you know what I mean or has your experience been different?" He runs his hand through his hair out of habit making it that strange mix of messy and attractive.

OOC Text ICIn hindsight, maybe Sal should have left Pablo at home. But that lizard was very stubborn andended up coming anyways, and now he was tucked in happily in his pocket. He was wearing a nice brown suit, hair done up neatly, and as soon as he was gone and ready to go, he walked to the room his date was in and knocked, leaning back slightly as he waited. Hopefully Pablo behaved and stayed in his pocket. Cadence heard the knock at the door and took one final look in the mirror before dashing to the door. She opened it about as wide as her smile was and greeted Sal with a friendly "Hello!" She stood before him in a light blue almost white dress and white heels. She tilts her head looking at him and asks "Do I have two dates tonight?" Referring to his little famous pet. She looked at him, with sparkling eyes, she was the definition of excited at the moment and it seemed untouchable.

Levi returned the smile, amused by her forwardness. He'd meant to give her a dramatic kiss on the back of her hand, then offer her his arm, but this seemed much more appropriate. Levi lead the way towards the dance, vaguely excited to see the decorations. He hoped they'd be over the top, as most of the formal events he'd been to were much more regal. Sometimes it was fun to see extravagance almost to the point of tackiness, rather than the carefully planned events he was used to. "Would you like to dance as soon as we get there, or do something else first?" he asked, looking at Emma as he spoke. Charlotte accepted the arm, her nerves easing a bit. "Sure." she answered, her smile growing a little more confident. Even with seven years practice, she still had trouble adjusting to somethings that came with royalty. Confidence was one of them. "Are you excited for the dance?" she asked, looking at Makali for an answer. She figured a conversation would ease her nerves. She did like talking. (I'm so sorry it took me so long to get back, I had something I had to do after practice before I could get to my computer. I should be on for around two hours now though, and then a lot longer tomorrow, if the dance lasts that long.) She looked back at him with her eyeliner framed blue eyes, "Of course!" She replied with a smirk. She walks next to him at his pace, easily keeping up due to her tall stature. She loved to dance so the question had been easy to answer but now that she had already replied she needed to find something else to say. She though for a moment before speaking, " So what made you ask me out of everyone to the dance." She put him on the spot right to see how he would react under pressure. If you couldn't handle pressure you probably couldn't handle Emma.

"I love chocolate, it's probably my favorite thing to eat, I'll eat anything dipped in chocolate," he said lightly, smiling over at Cain before he got himself another forkful. He was pretty close to being done by then.

He smiled slightly and then looked back over at her, giving a light chuckle. "He refused to stay in my suite, though I would rather not have shared you tonight, you look even more beautiful today than usual," he told her charmingly. See Cadence was a much better pick for a date than that other girl...Emma had been.

"Well, I heard that you were still partner-less, and I couldn't let a beautiful girl such as yourself go to the dance alone, now could I? Especially not when I still had no date of my own," Levi said, stating his true thought process. He left out, however, that he had heard something about her showing an interest in him, as he didn't want to accidentally embarrass her if it were true or embarrass himself if it wasn't.

"Thank you. You look very dashing yourself. " Cadence said doing a small curtsy as she had been taught to do from a very young age. Her dress bowed with her and the lose tendrils of her hair bounce as she came back up to standing position. Her eyes looked up at his, brown in the most deepest way. If he had looked closely we would have seen a hint of excitement, a dash of nervousness and a pinch of fire.

Emma nodded and then went quiet leaving space for him to speak. In the distance music from the grand ball room could be heard. Up beat music unlike the formal ballads that are usually played at the functions that this group attended. But this was for them so everything was designed with their youth in mind. Emma re positions her clutch in her left hand, the who not intertwined around his bicep.

Levi smiled at her nod, then considered his next move. Faintly, he could hear the music from the dance. It was much more modern than he had expected at first, but he wasn't completely opposed to the idea of something other than the classical music he was used to hearing at formal occasions. "Can you hear the music?" he asked, still continuing closer. "It's a little refreshing to have something other than classical playing, don't you agree?" Levi waited to see if she'd quietly agree or fully respond to his question. A easily answered question was one of his favorite tests to see if someone wanted to talk more or let a conversation fall into silence. It was often possible to tell just from the length of their answer.
