Hello!
Recently, I have had an idea for a roleplaying clan called CliffClan. The basic premise of this is that the cats are divided into four different camps, and each one of these camps, though united under one ruler, function a lot like a single clan. The major plot I have in mind is that the main leader of all the camps has died without naming a successor. Because of this all three leaders of the camps claim that they are the best for the role, and tensions between the camps are sky high. I am looking for people who are willing to help make this idea a reality, even if all you can do is promise to join once the clan is up and running. Any kind of support is welcomed. What I Need□ Landmarks for territory □ Layout and Graphics □ Camp Descriptions ■ Someone to help bounce off ideas for a different hierarchy□Rules □ Medicine Cat guide, warrior code, and battle moves (not needed but would be welcomed) □ People to help take roles as prophets, camp leader's, and other important ranks □ History and Introduction ( I'll do this but feel free to suggest ideas) □ Create fun plots that can be used through the roleplay HelpersIf you are lookinf to be a helper just post below! If you think you want to try for a higher rank in the clan follow the form below. After I skim through your post, I'll determine if you're qualified. *Note: Please only try out for two major roles.* Form: Username and Screenname ● Roleplay example (should be at least six to seven sentences since I am looking for more literate people to take these roles) ● Desired Role (I'll post these below) ● How active will you be? Helpers: @chibiterasu Claimed Ranks: lazy penguin ● Beachside Camp Leader shortstop ● Shadow Camp Leader

Camps:
Main Camp: The Main Camp is a large hollow in the center of the territory just south of the lake. The Supreme Leader lives here as well as the queens and all kits old enough.
Beachside Camp: The Beachside Camp is a sandy area right nest to the ocean.
Forest Camp: The Forest Camp is the second largest camp and resides deep in the forest and next to a small waterfall (and by small I mean maybe five feet tall)
Shadow Camp: The Shadow Camp is a small clearing in the middle of the pine forest.
Ranks: (* means you need to fill out the form in order to claim) Supreme Leader: runs all the camps and had the most power; resides in the main camp and stands in place of the camp leader there; not allowed to have romantic ties after inheriting post; names end in -moon; is given nine lives from the ancestors
*Camp Leaders: each are responsible for their one camp; one of their kits will inherite the position (the leader chooses before they die/retire); names end in -star; are the only clan members allow to advance to Supreme Leader, are given no extra lives; only one per camp
Healers: are responsible for healing a ailments of their clanmates; can only be four in each camp; are allowed to have romantic relations; are not allowed to communicate with the ancestors
*Prophets: are responsible for receiving and interpreting all signs from the ancestors; only one allowed per camp; are not allowed to have romantic relationships
Queens: are responsible for raising all kits after they are old enough to eat solid food; only reside in the main camp; if they have kits of their own, they are not allowed to raise their own kits once they pass the required age
Mothers: raise their own kits until they are ready to be handed over to the queens
*Messengers: are responsible for keeping all the camps united; there should always be four in each camp; only allowed to retire if an apprentice is ready to assume the role; have a three moon rotation when they spend a moon in each camp sharing ideas and gathering intel; one moon out of four they spend in their own camp advising the leader; are highly vauled in all camps no matter what camp They come from
Warriors: are responsible for hunting and fighting for the clan

This sounds pretty interesting! I would be willing to help out. I am not sure, however, if I am going to tryout for any major positions like camp leader. If I do, I will let you know and fill out the form (assuming they would still be available if I do decide to tryout). For now, I am just interested in being a helper. What do you need help with first?

@chibiterasu Thank you for offering your help. Right now I'm trying to work out the territory. I know that I want it to consist of three biomass, beach, temperate forest, and pine forest, with a lake in the center, but I'm not quite sure how they would lay out or any of the landmarks that it has. If you could help with that, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, I would like to help as well as take one of the positions. wintereclipse & ˢʰᵒʳᵗˢᵗᵒᵖ ● Roleplay example
Night had fallen across the stretch of land the tom had been traveling along for two days now. Along with it had come the rustling noises of crickets and bats that were barely visible as they fluttered across the dark sky. Every ginger hair on his pelt rose as he tasted the air- a sharp tang of salt and the acrid stench of fox. He smelled once more, searching for threats. Stale. Excellent. He set his gaze to the path ahead, paying careful attention to where he set his paws. This area was famed among the city cats for its mysterious fog that covered the land in daylight, which was said to envelope any cat that dared to enter, who was then never heard from again. For Blitz, the story was more challenge than cautionary tale. As far as the eye could see, there was nothing but yellow-brown grass that tore far too easily under a cat's claws. It did not conceal any small creatures quivering in fear of the large tom, much as he tried to search for prey. Blitz's stomach ached in hunger, but he refused to turn back in the direction of the city, where smells were divided into two categories: burnt rubber and burnt oil. His pelt, now knotted with grass, was a mess, to his own dismay. Blitz, to the amusement of the other city cats, had taken much pride in keeping his fur clean. They scoffed, but he always seem to earn more disgusting pellets that the two-legged creatures had gifted to them as food. He sat to groom it, pulling out the matts and clumps that had accumulated in his usually soft and sleek fur with his teeth. He was so preoccupied it took him several minutes to hear the rustling in the grass and the dark shapes that had approached, him, crouching, from all direction. As soon as he did hear, he leapt to his feet, his tail puffed and teeth bared. The grass was just thick enough to conceal the figures by sight, but not by smell. He knew they were there. "Who are you?" He spat, forgetting that he was surrounded, and, despite his size, obviously outnumbered. Perhaps the stories that the city cats had told him had a small nugget of truth hiding at their core all along... The figure directly in front of him rose from his position, and the others followed suit. Blitz forced his fur to lie flat, especially now that he could see the tips of the leader's white fangs glistening in the moonlight. "Since you are the one whose life is at stake, I suggest you reconsider your questions." The icy blue eyes just above those glistening teeth blinked once before glancing up at the sky and continuing on in an equally sinister tone, despite the civil tone. "It's getting late. I suggest you run home, little one. Unless you would like to stay and eat." Blitz turned tail and ran back the way he came, a trail of high, cold laughter following behind him. ●Shadow Camp Leader ● That depends. Right now, I am in a therapy program, so it will be less than usual, perhaps 3-4 times a week, more often on weekeneds. After the program ends, I will most likely be on every day.

No problem. The way I keep imagining it is that the beach and the forest would be close by each other. Maybe the forest eventually turns into the sandy beach territory. On the other side of the forest, I could see it changing into the pines, which the main camp would be south of the lake that is within the pine forest. I will be thinking of landmarks, but let me know what you think of that layout. If you would like more ideas, I can think of some more.

Thank you! I had an idea with how the lake could work with the ocean I have a sketchbook that I can draw a map in and show you guys by tomorrow, and besides, yours sounds good. I can leave it pale if you guys have any particular landmarks you might have an idea for.
I think I might have sort of an idea? Like maybe a watch post for each camp? Like the Forest Camp and Shadow Camps can use tall trees and maybe the Seaside Camp can use a piece where the cliff juts up, where they could look for messengers? they could also use beacons if they get very desperate to send messages

Alright I can't wait to see both maps! I am looking forward to seeing what idea you had for the lake and ocean Short. I was a bit conflicted with how they could be connected. The best way I could see it is maybe a large river that feeds the areas, but of course there could be better ways than that. I also like the idea of the watch posts and I think it would be reasonable for them to have it. I could see warriors using it and switching out so the others can rest.

Sorry for the late reply, I was out with friends.
I'd love to see your idea for the map, especially since I'm having a but of a problem piecing mine together. I should have rough sketch up tomorrow, so we can compare the two and decide what to keep and get rid of for the final draft.
I actually really like the watch post idea, especially since it will show another form of diversity between the camps. We could use different places/styles of these post to further the rift and drive the camps even further apart.
Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention is that none of the camp leader's should be deserving of the Supreme Leader rank. This just helps make cats in the certain camps even more tense, and may even force cats to switch alliances once the plot thickens.

I am still around. I am attempting to figure out some landmarks when I am not busy doing homework. I also think that would be a good idea to not have any of the camp leaders be deserving of it and therefore causes more drama.

@chibiterasu and shortstopAh sorry for not posting here earlier, i was swamped with homework and broke my toe. I'll have my map posted in a minute so hopefully we'll be moving forward in no time. Glad you like the idea, I just thought it would add a sense of depth to the whole roleplay.

sorry guys, i've also been kind of swamped. but the map you posted kind of looks what i had in mind. although i had an idea that a cliff kind of begins in the beige area, and steeps down more sharply on the seaside, so that the Seaside Camp cats can have their dens in caves in the side of the cliffs (so they don't get flooded when the tide rises).

Ooooo that's smart, I had the cliffs being off to the side where the beach this out next to the trees, but that's actually really clever.

That looks close to what I had in mind and no worries to both. I understand as I have a lot of homework to do myself. I also like the idea about the cliff, Short. I will post some landmark ideas here soon.

Oh hi. A clan. StarryDreamer (username is same) ● Sora rolled over in her nest, drowsily opening her eyelids. Early morning sunshine still filtered through the rock entrance to the samurai's den, bathing the whole cavern in pale gold. The she-cat yawned, rolling over in her comfortable bedding. She was about to fall asleep again, when she heard a voice. “...Sora…!” She slowly blinked her eyes open again, trying to force her ears to listen. “...outside...border patrol…” “Coming…” Sora mewed, her voice muffled by the mounds of bedding surrounding her. “Com....” She let herself relax a bit, letting her eyes droop back closed. Sighing with pleasure, she burrowed her way back into her nest, enveloping herself in warmth. She let herself stay there a few more seconds… or was it minutes? Sora snapped her eyes open, suddenly alert. Did I…? She jumped out of her nest, quickly bounding her way out into the grassy camp. Wincing a little at the bright light, the she-cat let her eyes scan over the camp. There’s no way I missed it! She felt the pit of her stomach drop out, worry clenching her throat tight. Then she spied the disappearing tail of a cat swishing beneath the torii gate. “Wait!” she cried desperately, dashing forwards after the patrol. “I’m here! I’m coming!!!”) ● Messenger ● Moderately to highly, depends on the week and how much stuff I have going on.
It's been awhile since I've done cat stuff, but I'd be interested in this as well. Sounds intresting so far!

I am just putting this down so I can edit it as I come up with more possible ideas. However, I wanted to at least put this down so you can see some of my ideas and see how you felt about it.
Possible Beachside Landmarks
• The Cave – Somewhere in the territory, there is a large lone cave. It has a large hole on its roof that allows light to enter in it. The two entrances that are separated by the dip form from the cave is surrounded by ocean water. The water tends to be low in this area unless a large tide brings in more water than normal. This isn't the camp. Maybe this could serve as the apprentice training area.
• Tide Pools - There is rocky terrain that spreads out into the water and around some of the edges of the beach. These are tide pools and make a great hunting spot as the low tides bring in new habitats. One must be careful about the choices they make as sometimes not all the habitats are harmless. Maybe smaller, safer tidepools that isn't in the ocean could also serve as a place for the kits to play and therefore practice their swimming skills.
• Ocean Island – A small island surrounded by ocean water. The area is full of palm trees and makes for a great, alternative hunting spot. I am not sure how cats will get here, but there will either be some sort of path like stepping stones to get there or they will swim a short distance.
• Cliff - As Short said, there should be a steep cliff that allows areas for the Seaside cats to sleep in. It could also serve as a possible hunting and alternative training spot as well. There could be a place farther on the Cliff that has some dangerous spots so one slip up could mean you could be trapped (possibly crush) inbetween rocks or be impaled.
• Ocean - A possible hunting spot for the camp. It also can serve as a good place to relax and practice farther on swimming skills. It is recommended not to drink or go off in the deep ends.
• Beach River - A river that flows throughout the territories. This is the place to drink as well as hunt. It can serve as another place to swim.
• Seashell Shore - A place somewhere on the shore that has a large amount of shells here. Other lifeforms such as crabs can be found here too. One must be careful about traveling here for sometimes the ocean will have more dangerous creatures such as jellyfish lying about. It is the best place to get shells, which the cats like to use as decoration and help build their nests.
• Forest - I notice that Million mention earlier about trees. There could definitely be a small forest that stretches from the previous territory. I imagine it would be less dense (not so much that it would be spread out) and smaller.

вяιχєи αтяαиυѕ Thank you! Right now you can work on the territory with us, or if you want you can find a basic medicine cat guide, warrior code, and battle moves. kiwi cheesecake Feel free to work on whatever with us. I'd be glad for any of your brainstorming ideas. @chibiterasu Alright here's what I have: The Cave: I like the idea of it, my only problem is that access might be difficult, and this might cause a problem especially if it was used regularly. Maybe we could have one of the entrances be more accessible? Tide Pools: I love this idea! It's a perfect way for the beach-side camp to embrace the ocean next to them! Ocean Island: Oooo this is clever. Maybe we could have a land bridge that connects it to the mainland during low tide, but it is covered by the ocean during high tide? Cliff and Ocean: Just putting these as one to save space. The ocean idea seems pretty great. As for the cliffs i like the idea of them having a treacherous spot whether it be a straight drop off, or something more gradual with jagged rocks at the bottom. Beach River: Pretty good, no comments. Seashell Beach: Ooo interesting! I like the idea of the cats gathering shells for decorations. Forest: Yeah, I do imagine that they have a small thin stretch of forest so that when winter hits an other prey may be harder to find, they have a fall-back just in case.

I am glad you enjoy them! With the Island, I think a bridge would work well and it would make sense for it to be covered up during high tides. I imagine it is strong enough to hold itself against those times. As for the Cave, I could see that. Maybe there is a group of rocks that can lead up to the hole in the roof? There could be a landing platform inside, which is just a rock with a flatten surface that the cats could land on safety. Maybe these rocks would serve as stepping stones. I imagine that the cave would be somewhere located on the beach. I imagine that it would be part of the cliff and far away from the beachside camp. I am not sure where it could be located yet. Still working on the other landmark ideas for the other territories.

I will place this here so that you guys can view over what I have so far. I am still attempting to come up with more landmarks, but it is a bit harder this time. I was thinking that maybe there could an abandoned Twoleg log for deer hunting or something so it makes more sense why there is a bridge since twolegs used to be in this area. Or maybe they still are, but they are located in say the pine forest area.
The Underground – The Underground is a series of tunnels found throughout the territory. These tunnels were made from several animals that have left these burrows abandoned, but to the cats the size of these burrows might as well make them tunnels. Some can stretch out for quite some time while others seem to end short. These burrows can make ideal hiding spots from burrows, but they can also make ideal spots for new predators to come in. It is a gamble to decide to go into one of these tunnels since you never know what might be lurking within.
Tree Graveyard – The name given an area where a forest fire once happened. This area might be the less dense due to this and a lot of the trees have been burnt. The few that do remain “healthy” seem to be blacken and thin in appearance. There is some small plant life starting to grow back, but it will be quite some time before that happens. There is also a lot of fallen trees in this area as well, which most have evidence that they were victims in the forest fire. This area does have some prey life here, but they are mostly small and like to hide among the rumble.
Lake – The Lake is where the forest camp gets their water from. While there is fish life that swims here, most of these cats prefer not get their paws wet unlike the Beachside camp and therefore avoid getting their paws wet. However, this area is a hot spot for other animals, but it is a gamble whether these are prey or predators. Some of the larger animals such as deer are harmless if you do not spook them. South of the lake, there is the main camp and eventually the Beachside area. East of the lake is the Pine forest area.
Meadow – The meadow is closer to the Pine forest area and stretches over their borders. It is located north of the lake where some of the river does reach over to the Forest area’s side. It makes another great hunting spot and the largest area of open land there. It is a bit safer than the lake, but one still must be careful due to the amount of exposition there is.
