First Gathering
Tansypaw frowned from where she sat at the gathering, her eyes on the clan leaders. Behind her, her sister spoke to the apprentice of another clan. "Cut it out," she meowed. "I'm trying to hear what Silverstar has to say!"
The apprentice sat down next to her. Automatically, Tansypaw shifted uncomfortably.
"What's wrong?" asked the handsome apprentice.
Tansypaw's eyes widened and she turned to look at the leaders.
"ThunderClan has nothing to report."
Second Gathering
Tansypaw found herself sitting by him again.
"I'm Foxpaw," he said, shifting. "Are you Tansypaw?"
"Yes, I am." Tansypaw said. "Have you spoken to my sister?"
He nodded. "Larkpaw's boring."
Third Gathering
Foxpaw and Larkpaw were caught in the bushes.
"I can't believe you'd do this!" Tansypaw cried, stomping away from her sister. Silverstar frowned at his two daughters, each glaring at one another. "You betrayed your clan!" she hissed.
Larkpaw turned away. "I can't help who I love, Tansypaw!"
Fourth Gathering
"ShadowClan is proud to announce we have two new warriors. Roseshade and Foxclaw!"
"Congratulations," Tansypaw mewed, looking away from Foxclaw. "I guess you got what you wanted."
"I don't have what I want." he meowed. "I want you to be my mate."
Fourth Gathering
"I can't meet with you, Foxclaw!"
"But I love you!"
Tansypaw turned away from him, padding back to her clanmates. "You're ShadowClan. I'm ThunderClan. It'll never happen, Foxclaw. I can't see you again, okay? This is breaking the warrior code."
"It's breaking my heart. I love you, not your sister, Tansypaw," Foxclaw said, running to catch up to her. "At least once."
Fifth Gathering
"ThunderClan is pleased to report two new warriors have joined our ranks - Larkblossom and Tansylight!"
"Please, just meet with me one more time," Foxclaw begged.
"I can't, Foxclaw. I'm a warrior now. This apprentice's game has to end now." She turned to face him. "Enough is enough."
"Just one more time. That's all I ask."
Sixth Gathering
"I can't be with you."
"Please, Foxclaw."
Now the tables had turned. "Tansylight, you've said it yourself, we can't be together. We're warriors now. And this has to end."
"Just one more night," she pleaded.
"Just one..."
Seventh Gathering
"I'm expecting kits." Tansylight meowed.
"That's great!" Foxclaw replied, wrapping his tail around hers. "I can't wait to tell you... But I have to go, okay?" He raced off.
"A few nights ago," Minnowstar, leader of ShadowClan, was saying. "Our deputy, Yellowfur, died. Foxclaw has been asked to take his place!"
"Foxclaw! Foxclaw!" everyone yowled - none more loudly than Tansylight.
Eighth Gathering
"You can't see him again!"
"But I love him, Silverstar!"
Tansylight faced her father, her fur bristling. "And if I can't see him again, than I'll leave ThunderClan and go be with him in ShadowClan!"
"You're my daughter!"
"I don't care, father. You can't help who you love. Larkblossom was right when she said that." She turned and fled from the territory.
Ninth Gathering
"Since this is your first gathering in ShadowClan, you might want to stay away from ThunderClan."
"Of course, Foxstar," Tansylight purred, heavy with kits. "Thank you."
Foxstar bounded up the tree, standing in one of the branches. "ShadowClan has much to report! Minnowstar recently died in a fire. I've taken his place, and Shadefoot is our new deputy! Also, we have a new warrior - Tansylight."
Fifteenth Gathering
"Cherrypaw, I know you want to talk to the other medicine cats, but wait a moment. Blossompaw, don't pull that warrior's tail!" Tansylight rushed over to the limbs of the tree, sitting down in her usual space. Goldenfur, the deputy of RiverClan, smiled at her.
"Kit trouble?"
She laughed. "Always!"
