Taylor had been looking for someone who was awake and willing more or less to go find food with her. She hadn't found anyone in the other rooms that were awake so when she saw someone by the pool, that was where she beelined to. It turned out to be Maxwell, who seemed to be eating something. Which, as Taylor approached, turned out to be her sandwich. "Do you normally take people's food and not share?" She asked, arms crossed over her chest and one eyebrow raised as she awaited a response. An apology would be nice too of course.

Max froze. He had been caught. He slowly looked over at Taylor. "I didn't know it was yours." He said with a mouthful of her sandwich. He quickly swallowed and smiled. "Sorry." he said. Even if he didn't mean it, he found sorrys were very useful. "I'm sure you can find another though. Making something else." He said.

"No. In one way or another you're going to help me make this new sandwich that you mentioned. You need to stop being idle anyway, so it would be best to make yourself useful and go on a run into town to get food. With me." Her voice was stern and eyes narrowed. She wanted revenge in some way shape or form, and this was her way of getting it. And she was killing two birds with one stone, by helping the pack as well. "I'll just drag you around if you say no."

Max snorted. He looked up at her with a smile and raised eye brow. "You're kidding right?" He said before the smile dropped off his face. She wasn't kidding. He huffed and looked away. "But I don't want to! It's too early. The feral might be still out." Max pouted. He scrunched up his nose at the thought. He had never met a feral but many people had told him they smell of rot and dried blood. They also told him they could rip a man in two, but that sounded highly unlikely. Still, they were a good excuse not to go out.

Taylor let out a small huff of disapproval. "It's better to be too early than too late. And it's not like it's impossible to avoid them, you just need to know the right places to look. So get up already and let's go." She narrowed her eyes at the end of her statement. Maxwell wasn't owning up to his mistakes, and that was one of her pet peeves. He needs to do something productive, and if hey run into a feral, it might just scare some sense into him. He'll learn not to eat her food, or anyone else's, without permission.

Max huffed again. He eyed Taylor, sizing her up. He leaned slightly to see her better. Even with his rusty people skills, he could tell she wouldn't back down or forgive this. If he refused, she was going to blow a fuse. He frowned as he stood. "Fine. Let's get it over with. But one whiff of any ferals and I'm leaving." He said as he started to walk out. "I'm also going into wolf form." He said, without looking back at her.

"Fine by me. You can keep a lookout while I grab stuff." Taylor said indifferently with a shrug. She didn't feel like changing into her wolf form right now. All she wanted to do, was go into town and get a sandwich. Along with other supplies of course.

Max nodded. Being wolf form was a wonderful thing. He wasn't expected to talk to other people, and he could sense danger and get out. It was a gift. The teen walked into the bathroom and quickly transformed. He picked up his neatly stacked clothes, he had taken precautions before changing, in his mouth and set them in the basket. The basket was somewhere to stash your clothes as you headed out. They were mostly for lazy people who didn't want to walk up to their room, or people in a rush. He was apart of the lazy bunch. Plus, he figured if he took more time, Taylor would hunt him down. The werewolf padded out of the bathroom. He woofed at Taylor to grab her attention and tell her, he was ready.

Taylor was trying to mentally plan their route before she heard a bark from somewhere near the pool locker rooms. It was, as she expected, Maxwell. "Come on then. We'll head to that CVS off of 95." She directed him before walking out of the hotel's gate to the pool. She held it open for Maxwell so he could get through. "Supposedly the last group that went into town said there was still stuff left in there. Whether that's true or not, I don't know." She wasn't expecting Maxwell to respond of course, but a mere nod of the head should suffice. Only for her to know that he understood.

Max nodded. He thought about getting a bag, but there would be plastic bags still there if the place hadn't been raided too heavily. He woofed again as he walked though the gate. He scented the air to find no rotting smell. He grinned and waged his tail a couple times. Max bounded forward on the sidewalk, enjoying the freedom and fresh air. He looked back at Taylor when he realized he didn't hear her footfalls.

Taylor had to give a small smile as she watched Maxwell bound forward and onto the sidewalk. But she was falling behind. When he slowed down, she walked faster to catch up to him and once he was in range of a normal speaking voice she said, "As a human, I don't go very fast." She reminded him before she kept walking.

Max huffed. Right. That whole human thing. Well, he couldn't leave her behind, even he wasn't that much of a je.rk. The wolf made an effort to remain besides the other werewolf. His ears twitched, though barely a peep could be heard. With all the humans gone, the city was eerily quiet. There were plenty of bird, pigeons to be exact, but they didn't exactly make much noise. The werewolf hated the silence. He huffed again and looked up at Taylor almost accusingly.

Taylor looked down at Maxwell and smirked when she saw the way he looked at her. She ruffled the fur on his head in a teasing way. She liked to mess with people, and with Maxwell being the only one around, he was obviously her first and only choice. "Did you want to have a conversation?" She grinned.

Max yapped at Taylor as he ducked his head away from her hand. He wasn't even a dog shifter! He was a wolf and even came from a long line of werewolves. He would not have his fur ruffled like some common dog. Max's amber eyes narrowed at her question. He wanted her to talk to take his mind off of the silence, but he didn't like giving into her or admitting that he wanted something from her. He would take the silence thank you very much. The werewolf raised his tail and trotted on so he was in front of Taylor.

"What?" She knew perfectly well 'what' but Taylor was an instigator, and instigate she will. "Oh come on. It was a joke. Lighten up would ya?" She sighed and rolled her eyes. If Maxwell couldn't have any fun that wasn't her problem. But it didn't matter too much now, the CVS was in sight and it would only be another five minutes or so before they got there.

Max woofed when he spotted red building. He looked back at Taylor with bright amber eyes and a slowly wagging tail. All of his previous feels gone and replaced with excitement. Soon would come the best part: scavenging. Which is also an unfit thing for a werewolf to do, as his parents would have said, but Max loved walking around and finding things. He loved odd things or little knick knacks. He barked at the other werewolf before spiriting away. His tail was up, an unconscious signal for everyone to follow him.

At least Maxwell looked happier when he spotted the pharmacy and convenience store in one. At least he was pleased to be productive, and that was more important. Taylor went after him, but she didn't run, she walked like normal towards the store. Of course, Maxwell got there first, but Taylor wasn't too concerned. She immediately told him a few things she needed to grab as Taylor pulled out a cart. "Try to grab what food won't perish quickly, water bottles, and whatever else looks handy. Oh, and medicine, lots of it. You never know when it'll come in handy."

Max woofed in conformation. He assumed this was what they needed. The wolf grabbed a cloth bag so he could carry delicate things without hurting them. The bag was a hideous leopard print but he decided not to focus on that. He decided to go for the food option, since he ate the sandwich and all. He could pick out sandwich fixings and the pack could have a feast. Well, not a feast but something better than canned foods and bread. His ears flicked back at the thought. Slowly he made his way down the aisles and picked out bread, meat, and cheese. Since he picked out every type of cheese and every type of meat, his bag became full pretty quickly. He started to walk back with his tail high in the air.

"What did you get?" Taylor asked, even though Maxwell couldn't answer. It was more of an automatic question. She walked closer to him and grabbed the bag out of his jaws so she could see for herself. Most of it was meat and cheese, but who doesn't love that as a snack? Crackers might be good to pick up too, if they hadn't gone stale or stolen by this point. "Good job. Just pile up everything you think you can carry for the trip home." Taylor instructed before setting the bag down for them to grab later and getting her own. She headed straight for the medicine in the pharmacy section, but it seemed the other shifters were smart, and took most of it already. Hopefully there was enough in other places in the city. Taylor sighed and then began to put capsules of tablets into the bag. Most of them were prescription only drugs, so it would be best to be careful with those.

Sorry for the poof. I was finishing a project. )
Max nodded. Bread would be next. He picked up another bag and started off toward the bread section. It was mostly raided and some of the more fresh bread was starting to get moldy, but there was some loaves on the top shelf. Max grunted before lifting himself up. With his front paws on the shelf, he started to grab at loaves and throw them down. On his last loaf, he noticed it felt heavy. He gave a large tug, assuming it was caught, and managed to pull the bread out. Some kind of rodent, Max was not good with his animals, hung on the loaf. The critter hissed and swiped at the wolf, who was still holding the loaf. Max yelped loudly and threw the loaf against the freezer. The rodent hit the freezer door with a thump. Max, now on four paws again, snarled at the creature. His tail was up, his teeth were bared, and his neck fur was standing up. It might seem like an over reaction, but Max didn't like creepy, little rodents that swiped at him.
