Yeah so as the title says, I've been getting ads with audio and it's kind of annoying me. It's almost every time I load a new page this happens. I was wondering if I was the only one who was getting them and what I can do about them.

You're best bet is when you get another audio ad is to stay on the page and in a new tab open this website and click report on the ads that all have the most recent timestamp (e.g 5 minutes) don't just report the top one that has the most recent time stamp because that may not be the right ad, so its pretty important that you click report on all the ads that have the most recent time stamp. The ad will not be removed if it doesn't get reported to proboards.

Thank you, Sav. I didn't know that we were able to reports ads and I thought I might have just been me. Also, will I be able to access the website you linked above on any of the threads on here and report it, if the ad pops up? Or should I just bookmark the website or something? (If that made no sense, I can try to re-word it.)

With the frequency of ads that break the terms and service agreement, it'd probably be a good idea to bookmark the link. It would be easier on you if you opened the link in a new tab or go directly to it, so the offensive ad is the most recent on the probably long list of ads, as it shows you all the ads you've come across in the last 12 minutes. there is no way to just access it from a thread, you'd have to use the link. (Sorry if I misunderstood your question.)

Don't worry, that's exactly what I asked. I'll do as you suggested and just bookmark the ad reporting thread.
Thank you again!

Yeah... I hate audio ads... Especially if I'm listening to music at a loud volume, and then one of those comes on

That link doesn't work at all for me- I clicked it and the website instantly closed itself again... is that meant to happen?

Since ads have been trending this week on FAQ; I took some time to read ProBoard's policy while sitting in traffic, as per usual. According to ProBoards; Audio advertisements are not even allowed on their hosted platforms to begin with. Ads should not be popping up, nor redirecting, nor casting audio. But ProBoards is also somewhat leaving it to the people paying to advertise; to trust them. There is also "hijacking" ads; @redx posted a link which should "tab" the last 10 minutes of your forum use. However; the first link 99% of the time is the current WCRPF page you are tabbed into. Chances are you might have refreshed, exited etc. so the second link is the highest probability. I think Ros might be able to directly contact them, but sooner or later with the "constant" reports; they might take another sweep at their ad partners. For the time being all we can do is "click report" to any forum page we interacted with where the ad acted out of place. smilii That's odd, majority has been able to access it. Tried from a different device/browser, refreshed the internet browser, turn on and off device? ads.proboards.com/ad-report.htmlAd Report
