Robinstar xx Even before the sun was up the tomcat's paws were itching for him to do something. He was sure most of the Clan was still curled peacefully up inside their nests; he himself should have still been asleep, even if his sleep would have lasted no longer than another hour, but that wasn't like this tomcat. He never slept late - late being the rising of the sun. This tomcat was always up before the sun could even stretch its rays across the land. This was something he had always done. Even as a young kit, as an apprentice, as a warrior, he had been awake before most others would even dare think about rousing from sleep. That was just who this cat was, an extremely early riser.
Dried moss clung to his cream-brown pelt. He shook off, the moss falling back into his nest. He would worry about fixing that later, right now he had something else on his mind. The pale Siamese slipped out of his den on silent paws. Pale blue eyes scanned the camp for any signs of movement - nothing. He seemed to be the only cat awake right now. Nothing new. Seeing that he wasn't needed right now, seeing that his Clan was still tucked away in their dens, the tomcat slipped right out of camp seemingly undetected. The tang of the nearby ocean danced around his muzzle. He drew in a deeper breath of the serene scent, the fur along his spine ruffling with pleasure. He adored the ocean. It gave life to his Clan. Even in the darkness he knew his way around thanks to his lovely guide - the scent of the ocean.
Everything was silent before dawn. It was the kind of silence that one would associate with the end of rain, the end of a wonderful celebration, or the end of a peaceful day. It was calming to the tomcat known as Robinstar. There was no where as peaceful as this wonderful territory. LittoralClan was the epitome of peace.
Leaves parted as the large tomcat pushed through them. His paws hit rock with a satisfying thud sound. Robinstar chuckled to himself quietly. This was his typical morning routine, to just go outside and head to his little rock perch. It wasn't anything hidden from his Clanmates, oh no, this was something that any one of his Clanmates could find with simple ease. It wasn't far from camp, and it was a wonderful place to go when a cat wanted to escape from camp and find peace.
Robinstar managed to climb up the hill in only a matter of seconds. Even if he had a large build, he was nimble and agile, quick on his paws. He maneuvered effortlessly, stopping only when he reached the top. Delicately he sat down upon the stone and drew in a deep breath. His eyes closed in bliss. From this perch he could see for miles and miles. The ocean stretched out wide and black in the shadow of night. Not much longer and the ocean would glow with the colors of a breaking dawn. Watching the sunrise was one of Robinstar's favorite things. Every morning he would come out to this one spot to watch the dawn paint the ocean in soft hues. It wasn't long before the light of the sun began to illuminate the sky above. Robinstar perked up his ears, eyes narrowing into slits as light shone against the heavens. From behind him the sun rose, and before he knew it, the ocean was alight with brilliant colors. Soft pinks, rosy reds, tangy oranges, and vibrant yellows decorated the clear waters. The lazy waves bounced with the soft colors of dawn. Even though the tomcat witnessed this every day he still felt awestruck. His breathing caught in his throat for a moment. Along with the beautiful colors the natural wildlife was beginning to stir. The seagulls were stretching their wings and flying into the air, their cries echoing throughout the open air. Songbirds were beginning to call back and forth to one another in their gentle songs. The sounds of rodents scuttling in the undergrowth also caught Robinstar's attention. He sighed in contentment. While he would love to stay here longer and witness the complete birth of a new morning, the tom knew he had to get back to camp. His Clanmates would be waking up by now, and as leader he felt it was his responsibility to check in with Grayhawk about patrols. He also wanted to see if a certain feline wanted to come on a patrol with him today as well. As leader Robinstar didn't get to do as many patrols as he would like to, but today he was going to make sure that happened.
Getting up to his paws, the Siamese stretched out his muscular body before heading down the rocky hill. He managed to get down it with ease; with swift paws he went down the leafy trail that lead him back to camp. Robinstar slipped back inside the camp with his tail held high in the air and his pale gaze alight with warmth. Today was a new day. The dawn had proved to be breathtaking as always, but today, something about the dawn had made him feel a little bit more than the usual. Robinstar felt like today was going to be a great one.

"Get off," a muffled mew came from behind a flicking tail. Leaf green eyes narrowed in annoyance as her words were ignored by the other cat, which only caused for her tail to flick even more, frustrated by the unwanted weight. "Tawnyfire, seriously, get off." The other she-cat's voice was stern, but still rather quiet, as she finally jumped to her paws and looked around the den. The warriors inside were still asleep, their flanks moving in unison as each breath was taken. The she-cat's leaf colored eyes moved from their observations to the cat that was now slumped over in where she was just resting. An irritated sigh came from the maw of the tabby she-cat before she swatted at Tawnyfire's ears, an obvious motion to awake the sleeping, but quite restless she-cat.
With another swat, Tawnyfire's pale green eyes were blinking away the sleep and were scanning the area around her, confusion washing over her soft face. She let out a yawn before closing her eyes once again; she had found the cat who was bugging her, it was none other than her sister, Rowanflame. "Sorry, Rowanflame," the tortoiseshell murmured, curling herself back up into a tight ball and nuzzling her little pink nose into her feathery tail. Her breathing became quiet once again, soft movements of her flank told her sister that she had fallen back asleep. Suddenly the tabby she-cat frowned, a pang of sympathy washed over her. Tawnyfire must had not slept well, again. The lithe feline gave a sad sigh before moving out of the way of her sleeping kin, luckily for them - they were at the back of the den and therefore, their brief conversation did not wake any of the other warriors. Rowanflame was certainly not in the mood to deal with grumpy cats right now, even though, she was surly.
As she exited the den, she ran smack right into a large tomcat; the she-cat's eyes went wide as she looked at who she ran into and then she gave an embarrassed chuckle, and an apologetic expression crossed her tabby face. "My apologies, Grayhawk, I didn't see you there." Shaking out her ruffled fur, she took a few pawsteps back and let her whiskers twitch.
"Good morning, Rowanflame; you're awake early. Is Tawnyfire okay?" His throaty mew came out slow, obviously being careful of the subject he had chosen to discuss. However, it was a deputy's job to make sure his clanmates were all okay. It was barely dawn and he was obviously surprised to see Rowanflame up so early, which could only mean one of two things -- she couldn't sleep, naturally, or Tawnyfire was the one having issues sleeping. Every cat in the clan knew there was still grudges, remorses, and grievances still going through the cats, especially as the smaller she-cat was directly affected by the whole situation.
Rowanflame's eyes went narrow, her tail flickering ever-so-slightly. She knew that the deputy of Littoralclan meant no harm, and was truly worried about her sister, but there was still some things that should not be spoken about. "She did not sleep last night, and only fell asleep a couple hours ago." The feline's words were chosen carefully but seemed to have done their job, because Grayhawk was nodding his head as if he understood. Just as Rowanflame was about to open her maw to speak again, a movement near the opening of the warriors' den drew her attention. Climbing out of the entrance was the dainty tortoiseshell that they have just been discussing and Rowanflame rolled her eyes as her sister approached them, obviously still trying to get the sleep out of her system.
Tawnyfire's eyes were blinking slowly, the sleep dissipating from the green pools. "I did sleep last night," she yawned, unsuccessfully trying to convince them. However, she couldn't sleep anymore -- that was not an option and she was certainly not okay with laying in her nest all day as if she was a wounded warrior. Her pale green eyes moved from her tabby sister to where the black and gray tomcat stood; Grayhawk's yellow eyes were carefully watching her, his head slightly tilted to the side. "I'm not broken," the tortoiseshell cat murmured, a pang of anger hinting in her voice as she glared at the deputy. A bit of a sassy attitude was obvious in her sleepy stature but it was very unlike her. She was the softer of the two sisters, but lately, she felt like everyone was treating her like she was an elder or something -- she was more than capable of handling herself, or at least she thought so.
"I was just going to say good morning, Tawnyfire," Grayhawk purred, a small chuckle rumbling in his chest as he stared at the ruffled she-cat; Rowanflame sat back, assessing the situation but her maw was tightly closed. Tawnyfire's ears grew hot, and she shuffled her paws, embarrassingly.
"I'm --" She started but Grayhawk's tail flicked at her shoulder as he was turning away, calming her ruffled state back to what Tawnyfire usually was - a sweet and rather naive female warrior. Just as she was going to speak once again, her pale green eyes spotted Robinstar slipping back into camp.
All three of the felines -- Grayhawk, Rowanflame, and Tawnyfire -- all paused in their steps and conversations, all in unison dipping their head towards their incoming leader.

Robinstar xx Even before the tomcat had fully entered the camp he could hear the chattering of his warriors from outside the camp. A purr rumbled from deep within his throat; it seemed as if the Clan was waking up to the dawn. The day promised to be clear and warm, the perfect weather for hunting and patrolling. With hunting and patrolling in mind, Robinstar was glad to see the one cat that was over such things - Grayhawk. And alongside him were two warriors that Robinstar knew quite well. Rowanflame and Tawnyfire.
The tomcat flicked his tail in greeting as he padded over to the three cats. "Grayhawk," he mewed with a dip of his head before he flicked his pale blue gaze over to Rowanflame and Tawnyfire. "Tawnyfire, Rowanflame. How are things?" He questioned with a warm and gentle tone. For a brief second his eyes lingered on Tawnyfire as if his question should mean more to her than any of the other two felines. Robinstar, for some time, had been interested in the she-cat. He had always admired her kind demeanor, her softness. He didn't like her just for that soft attitude, he liked her for a lot of things. And because of his tender feelings toward the female he felt the need to be there for her, to check up on her. Not long ago there had been a...commotion in the Clan that had greatly affected poor Tawnyfire, and while she tried to be strong, Robinstar just felt like there was more hidden underneath that she wasn't showing. Despite her feelings, the leader was glad of what he had done. What had happened had cost him the life of his deputy, his friend. He had been close with his last deputy, they were like brothers. Robinstar appreciated Grayhawk a lot, but Grayhawk just wasn't the kind of cat his last deputy had been. But enough of that. Robinstar had to think of other things.
Setting himself down, he switched his gaze back to Grayhawk. "Have the patrols been sent out yet?" It was a simple question, and he wasn't trying to rush the tabby. From the looks of it the patrols had not been sent out just yet, which was fine. Robinstar just felt the need to know who was in camp and who was out. As leader he felt the need to know where his Clanmates were.

Tawnyfire's ears grew hot under Robinstar's gaze; she knew that look. It was the same look she was getting from everyone now-a-days, whether it be her protective sister or the leader of Littoralclan. Although, she was incredibly shy under his unwavering stare, she rose her head -- high and tall as she answered him. "A little tired but glad to start a new day," her voice was soft and, surprisingly, steady. Her green eyes flickered from the two cats who stood beside her towards the large siamese in front of her; her whiskers twitching lightly. She knew he meant well but in all honestly, annoyance was starting to crawl up her spine. They were all smothering her, as if she was going to breakdown any second.
Rowanflame took a step forward, noticing her sister's brave stance. Her ears twitched before giving another slight nod towards the leader, whom she respected completely. He had always made the right decision and so many agreed with him ... but her sister? Her sister hadn't agreed with Robinstar's decisions of late, but her naive sister was just that -- naive. "Things are well; just bugging Grayhawk," she mewed, her voice light. The mood around the four cats seemed to flow into a more positive area.
The deputy's yellow eyes landed on Robinstar before shaking his head, embarrassed. "I was waiting for a few more cats to wake up; I did not think that sending a small patrol out was a good idea right now." He rose his head, his voice rough. He knew that Robinstar would understand what he meant, but if the leader had caught onto the small hint -- he knew the two sister would have noticed as well.
Of course they noticed, and Tawnyfire's eyes grew bright with anger. However, nothing seemed to come out of her maw. She knew better; she had argued with so many cats that she had grown tired by the same. Luckily for the four cats, more warriors and even apprentices were starting to awake from their slumber. Finally, there would be some patrols gathering soon and the heavy sleep that seemed to linger in the cats' limbs would finally disappear.
"Were you interested in joining one today?" Grayhawk's meow came again as he turned his attention away from the den's towards the leader. Maybe he felt like going on one, since he asked -- or maybe he was just doing his job. The dark colored tomcat wanted to give the leader a chance before putting together the patrols -- border and hunting.

Robinstar xx Robinstar kept a soft gaze on Tawnyfire as he awaited an answer from her. He could see that she wanted to say something, and he was curious to know what that was. He truly cared for the pretty she-cat. He had cared about her for some time now, and after what had happened not too long ago...Robinstar was concerned. His decision had been for the best. No Clan could survive with a murderer in their midst, but his decision had deeply hurt Tawnyfire, and the whole Clan knew that. Robinstar could only hope the she-cat would feel better soon, and maybe, just maybe, he could make the she-cat feel better. A smile graced the masked tom’s face when the tortoiseshell answered him; he dipped his head in agreement. ”A new day is always a blessing, is it not?”
The leader could say no more. He watched as Rowanflame took a step forward. The Siamese nodded to the fluffy tabby. Robinstar enjoyed the company of Tawnyfire’s sister, but she wasn’t the cat her sister was. Rowanflame was an incredible warrior, feisty and ready to fight for her Clan, but the leader had never found a deep interest in her as he did with Tawnyfire. Robinstar chuckled softly as the tabby made a comment about bugging Grayhawk. ”Is that so?” Blue eyes glanced over at the black and gray tabby. ”Put this one on a patrol to get her bugging energy out,” he teased, whiskers twitching with silent laughter.
Speaking of patrols, those seemed to be on the deputy’s mind as well. The undertone in Grayhawk’s comment was easily caught by the leader and he offered a nod. It seemed as if the two sisters caught on to what the dark-furred tabby had been referring to as well.
Robinstar flashed a glance toward Tawnyfire. Pale green eyes sparked with anger, and Robinstar caught on to that quickly. He felt as if the she-cat would keep quiet, but he wanted to keep things calm for now. The topic of Brokentide would only bring forth anger and annoyance. That wasn’t what the leader wanted right now. He was glad for Grayhawk’s question which would have stopped any harsh comments that might have escaped. Robinstar flicked his tail and nodded. ”I was, in fact.” He glanced over to Tawnyfire for a moment. ”I was wondering if you would like to come,” he mewed to the tortoiseshell. She had every right to deny his offer; he wouldn’t make her go with him on a patrol. He wanted her to, that was for sure, but if she said no then that was all he needed to realize that he would need another companion to tag along with him.
